Anthropomorphic Society of Old Dominion University
The Anthropomorphic Society of Old Dominion University, or ASODU is a furry organization at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.

ASODU was founded on February 7, 2019 by Yiri the Deer, Tarin Coyote, and Andromeda Wolf, who desired to create an official, dedicated organization for furry students of ODU. These three went on to become the organization's first president, vice president, and treasurer respectively. Following the passing of Dogbomb on April 5, 2019 ASODU raised $70 for the ALS Association.
On March 12, 2020 Tarin announced via the ASODU Twitter account that the organization would be suspending all in-person activities until further notice due to the university's closure in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.[1]
Membership[edit]
Membership in ASODU is limited to either current students or alumni of Old Dominion University, though one does not need to be a member to attend ASODU events. There are also no dues to be paid, though donations to the organization are welcome. As of July 28, 2020 ASODU has 21 members.[2]
Officers[edit]
The officers of the organization are defined by the ASODU Constitution. A President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary are elected at the end of every Spring semester, with those elected taking office in the Fall. The organization may also choose a faculty or staff advisor who will act on behalf of the organization within ODU.[3] The organization's current leadership is as follows:
