There was a total 4,400 attendees from 39 countries, and 854 fursuiters in the fursuit parade. The ToonSeum was Anthrocon's charity benefactor this year, receiving $11,522 from a charity auction, donations, and an Uncle Kage/2, The Ranting Gryphon show. Hotel space The number of furs attending Anthrocon this year caused problems, with some reports that attendees had booked out all the available hotel rooms in downtown Pittsburgh over that weekend. Anthrocon Chairman Uncle Kage stated that this might explain the slower growth this year, compared to 2009/10 - "When Downtown hotels became fully booked in mid-May, Anthrocon registration dropped off dramatically", he said. He went on to say that he doubted the event would grow further unless more rooms were made available near the center.
