The Anthro Lounge is a furry community site. Originally founded in Fur-Con 07 by DarkWolfBlade and Shaval to teach the public on an international scale about the community and the hobbies that the Furry, Scaly and Feathered community actually does. The website originally had its roots in a Starbucks coffee shop while taking a break away from the convention, starting a so called revolution with one large paw forward for the fandom. During the website development, The Anthro Lounge became apart of GaiaOnline as a temporary base with a guild in April 2009 and started to teach people about the fandom before casting of in April 2010 into the website to become independent.

It is a safe zone for the community for LGTBS and for concerned parents that are looking for a good place to stay clear of anti-furs and other trolls and knows when to put its paw down with hard working moderators. The Administration is quite friendly and doesn't mind to talk to the members and participate in the Event Activities that keep the members energized!

This website is also a Fur Affinity and other fandom website alternative!

However the website shutdown officially on May, 14th 2010 due to lack of activity from the members and supporting funds by DarkWolfBlade. Word from DarkWolfBlade if he will be recreating a new website has recently opened about a project © Fur International as a more modern replacement on privately owned servers!

Services
There are monthly elections for members of the month, forum games, and various other totally entertaining activities.

Along with the following above the site also concludes with a Facebook Fanbase, Skype for Live Help and personal profiles for the members while giving the members a chance to develop the site!
