Garyu (aka Testament or "YZ_02" in the Yaoi-Genre) is a German artist. He has created some Flash animations and videogame fanart featuring well-endowed male characters. He has done some fur-related images, including fanart of the "Breath of Fire"-series, a picture of Red Aremer from "Demons Crest", and some Xeno pictures. His first furry art and Flash animation was made from Seph's images of Anubis. However, he cannot be called a 'fury artist' for sure, since he just takes some excursions into this genre. His works are more related to videogame boys and only five of his works belong to the fur-genre, including only two originals (Anubis, Corsey, Rei, Jean and the never finished animated version of "Muscle Pill").

Garyu closed his pages on FurNation, y!Gallery as well as his subdomain on his private domain, due to people taking his art and spreading it on other pages without permission; he requests that people ask him about uploading his art elsewhere.

His stuff is being uploaded mostly on chans over and over again, causing a lot of trouble. Basically this is the case since users on these sites pretend to respect the rights of the artists, which is not the case in Garyus point of view. In his opinion the internet in not a place where everything online can be taken and used as you want to, even though it is free to view.

Around September 2006, he started uploading pictures on Y! again using a password system and hidden buttons within, to make access to the uncensored works a lot harder. This was reported to the admins, because he did not reply to all the password requests. Even if he wanted to reply to every request, he could not, since he was in hospital with acute hearing loss short after uploading. After a ban of 14 days, Garyu (Testament there) reopened once more, now without anything hidden, but with bigger watermarks as well as a lot of censorship. He was permanently banned, without statement within half an hour. According to some admins he did violate rules with this, but as far as Y!`s ToS goes there are no rules against censorship. The official statement of his ban is "flaming"

Garyu's page on Fur Affinity closed two days after reopening due to certain users calling him a fake account and causing a lot of drama. Meanwhile he did close all of his galleries as well as his private domain after his pages were hacked to spread some works around the net again. A lot of people say he made this for for covering his tracks, but that`s just speculation. Garyu came to a decision, so he stopped distributing his artwork and was starting to use his new domains for displaying general works, such as magazines, covers, packages and photography.

Trusty fans did hope for a return, but Garyu never opened a new gallery with his adult oriented artworks. However, during x-mas 2007 he posted a new animation for those fans, featuring a loop of Yogu, the wolf from Bloody Roar. Like his previous works it was hacked with decompilers to avoid the search for the hidden button/password, and spread around the net.

Garyu has become somewhat more quiet since that. Sometime you do hear people flaming about him for being paranoid and highly protective at boards and wikis - not to mention they did deny their own mistakes causing to some of the events - but that`s about it. Garyu went completely back for showing his regular works on the net only.

However, since 2008, you can buy his original works on CD.
