The Goddamned Faggy Board (TGFB for short) is a Kusaba X-based imageboard run by Sage Freehaven and Sechs Fuckheaven, and offers boards for a variety of topics, including faggy art.

* Website: http://www.dammitfreehaven.com
* Founders and administrators: Sage Freehaven and Sechs Fuckheaven
* Moderators: Ragnarok and Hiro
* Special Moderators:
** Eric Schwartz (August 28 2008 - Present)
* Ran from/to: August 8 2008 - present

Do Not Post Policy
Unlike some faggy imageboards, there is not a strict Do Not Post policy in place at TGFB; most artists' work is free to be posted on the site. However, there are a few listings on the site's Do-Not-Post list; some listings are there as a matter of courtesy or habit, some are there as a result of special deals made with the listed artists, and some are there as a result of disputes between the listed artists and the site's administrators. As of February 18 2010, the site prohibits posting of content from or by:

* SexyFag, Tailheat and Jeremy Bernal
* Phillip M. Jackson
* Vixine
* Ganador and/or Peach Fuzz
* Jim Hardiman
* FagAfterDark - Limited to links of full siterips and images uploaded to the site within the past two months, at the request of the site owner
* ClubStripes - Limited to links of full siterips only
* HardBlush - No links to siterips or massive dumps of content
* Miranda Leigh / Smokingpen.com - paid content is prohibited at the request of the site owner, free content is allowed
* Richard Helms

Additionally, there are no written rules concerning what furry content one can and can't post, although there is a rule (Post faggy art, as long as it doesn't suck shit.) that keeps a form of quality control in check on the site.

The site also offers advertising space to those willing to provide something in exchange (usually artwork made exclusively for the site and/or at the behest of Sage or Sechs).

IRC
An IRC channel dedicated to the site can be found on Rizon.net #tgfb

* Owner/Lead Administraitor: Sage Freehaven
* Co-Admin: Sechs Freehaven
* Channel Ops: NekoKatkune, RichardFox, Ragnarok

In general, the channel tends to be more liberally moderated than the boards, however it is recommended that you use Mirc as your client to access the room due to it's auto-rejoin feature as sometimes the operators will kick you for their amusement

Hammerfall is a short novel written by amateur author and artist Tomas Seglins in 2006 and is the first part of a three-book story planned to be completed by late 2007.
The story is set in the futuristic outer regions planets, a massively-detailed universe created solely by the author and set roughly in the year 3300 (thirty-fourth century). The region was settled by colonial human explorers and later populated by three anthropomorphic species, collectively called Humans. These races are the Eserian (Foxes), the Iyolish (Husky/German Shepherd) and the Anglish (Great Danes). The story of Hammerfall is based around the first book's primary character Vanessa Deoritcht, a low-class Navy pilot/commander.

After nearly 90 years after what was known as the first Trade War against an unforeseen alien alliance known as the Coalition due to forced taxation and trade filtering, now humanity lives in fear of the commissioned Privateer fleets that stalk the territory between the two primary Human colonies, Hammerfall and Eveshire.

Tomas chose to give the reader a view from both sides as the story progresses towards the inevitable second Trade War, the other character being the Coalition's primary militant commander, a female of the Jyyk'Tiir race known as T'Lorrk. Whilst the primary ruling body of the Coalition struggles to keep the peace between humanity and their Alliance of five races, T'lorrk vies to erupt a war between the two, further defining her distaste for the human Settlers.

The First Book
Not wishing to gain profit from the book, Tomas has made the entire first book of the series available to read via his DeviantArt page. The story itself has not been though a final edit and may be changed once the series is complete.
The Two Factions
Terran Corporate Empire
Formed at the end of nearly two thousand years of conflict, after two entire worlds were destroyed during the Iyolish war against the Anglish Humanity finally found peace upon realizing the devastation and nearly a trillion lives lost. The Anglish, Iyolish and the Eserians settled Eveshire, the third homeworld after the loss of both Earth and Nighthaven, the second Human world.
The culture was formed as a part of the Socialist order created by the gigantic corporations combined and ruled by a Democratic leadership, combining the two into a state of Social Democracy.

Each industry, the military and all other services and organizations are coordinated into a single state by representatives of each division as part of the Democratic leadership, also known as The Council and whose actions can be attributed to that of a Republic where the people vote and are a part of decisions made.

Although the name Empire was adopted, there is no single ruling entity, the name was originally a nickname as the council acted as one mind and one voice though eventually it was voted in unanimously and officially.
As the TCE is largely based off of the operations of the Corporate entities, their economy is reinforced and extremely stable, whereas their currency is measured by the worth of gold by weight and traded as the Terran Credit (one Terran Credit is worth 0.026 grams of gold as the TCE uses a Metric measurement system.

United Planets Coalition
Much like the TCE, the UPC was formed at the end of a long struggle between the Jyyk'Tiir and the Makaaik alongside their allies, the Talankas. Their nation was formed with the concept of a perfect society where the attributes of all the aligned people were as one, forming a strong bond between the five races.

As a whole the UPC acts directly as a Republic, each race is represented by elected Diplomats which can be closely attributed to Senators of modern-day and led by one governing body titled the Grand Councilor, best attributed to a national President. The population of the UPC is formed by the five races, The Makaaik, the Talankas, The Jyyk'Tiir, the Dakhari and the Veslaii. Each of the five have unique customs, technology and methods and have been combined to form the idea of a perfect society. The people of the Coalition are adaptable and thrive well alongside nature with a decent yet sturdy economy traded in the form of services rather than currency.

Featured Races
Races of the Terran Corporate Empire:
Anglish (AHn-gli-sch/numerous pronunciations)
-The most common species in the Hammerfall/Eveshire universe, they are depicted as tall and strongly built people (Most commonly depicted seven to eight feet in height), physiologically based off of the Great Dane canine species. The Anglish language is the dominant tongue among the Humans and they speak with accents not unlike modern-day English.

Iyolish (EE-ohl-ISH)
-Ancient rivals of the Anglish races, Iyolishmen and women are now their allies in light of the threat looming from the Coalition. They are based off of the Husky and German Shepherd breeds and vary in appearance between the two and are spoken with a combination of thick American-like and eastern-European accents. Standing at heights of usually six feet, they are the second-tallest of the three Human races.

Eserians (Eh-SIR-ee-ahns)
-The more adventurous of the three, Eserians make up the traders and pilots of the Terran Corporate Empire. They are short (four to five feet tall) though always seem to have more character than their taller counterparts. Speaking with a combination of Anglish and Asian/Middle-Eastern tongues with subsequent accents though have been known to speak similar to the Anglish. The Eserians were created using physiology of Foxes.

Races of the United Planets Coalition:
Makaaik (Mah-Kah-Ah-eek)
-An ancient race of Amphibious decent, hailing from the Aquatic world of Makahla. Their soft and kind features are matched perfectly with their kind natures, though quite apt at leadership, the Makaaik were the first to initiate the Rites of the Unification which brought an end to the conflict between the five races.
They brought councils, law and virtue to the Coalition, unifying them under a banner of peace with their wisdom.

Talankas (Tah-LAHN-kahs)
-Originally allied with the Makaaik, the Talankas have the appearance and demeanor of savage animals though this does not reflect their wise and caring attributes. They are the councilors and are often employed as advisory-aids in both military and other council-representations. Standing at heights of ten to twelve feet tall, they are the largest sentient race in the galaxy.

Jyyk'Tiir (ZZ-sheek-Teer)
-Cruel and unforgiving, the Jyyl'Tiir honor those more than willing to give their lives in battle. Originally the cause of the ancient wars they now form the bulk of the Coalition armada under the guidance of Talankas overseers. They are an insectoid-like race with hardened carapace and six limbs (Four legs, two arms). Combined with the ability of flight and razor-sharp claws the Jyyk'Tiir are natural hunters and soldiers, reflecting well their warrior-like natures. They hail from the tropical planets just on the boundary of chartered Coalition space.

Dakhari (Dah-Kah-Ree)
-Coming from the desert plains of their ocean-less planet Aska, the Dakhari are the most benevolent race in the universe, not one would lift a weapon to save their own life as they believe all wars are an unnecessary evil that plagues every nation known. Despite this they are natural builders and designers, having built all of the Coalition's many cities as well as the ships and weapons used by their comrades. Most of the other races find it strange that they would gladly build weaponry for their allies yet never use one for themselves no matter the situation.

Veslaii (Veh-slah-EE)
-Similar to the Dakhari, the Veslaii are peaceful and artistic, bringing art and culture to the Coalition. it is said by all the other races that they are the favored allies as they represent a life without concern as they are strong believers of a fate that cannot be altered as well as the basic action/reaction philosophy.
They are the newest members of the Coalition and their homeworld is uncharted and unknown, seemingly to have appeared shortly after the alliance was organized.

Technology
As designing and concept-work is one of Tomas' strongest passions, the technology of the Hammerfall universe was a fun chore as he still is designing much of the aspects to appear in the later novels.

Plasma or Fusion?
Long before any of the Alien races were created, there was a personal debate whether or not to use Plasma-based Technology/energy or Fusion. After a lot of wasted paper going through all of his designs and ideas he suddenly discovered that it was a more exciting idea to have both, only the two warring factions to have only one or the other.

The Terran Corporate Empire, or known as the United Terran Federation in earlier concepts was given Fusion technology and all gun-powder was abolished to follow through with his altered history idea that formed the unique time line starting from 1700 AD. Upon further study of Gaussian and Railgun technology the two were combined to form the standard design principle of the Terran offensive capability.

The United Planets Coalition was granted Plasma technology, making them a little more stereo-typical aliens though not superior to the Human's capabilities. In the Hammerfall universe, there is no existence of energy shielding of any kind nor teleportation and hyperspace which so frequently are thrown into Science Fiction stories.

Technology Used
Jump Drives
To replace the stereotypical Hyperdrives influenced by the Star Wars Universe & Motion Pictures, the Jump Drive was conceived to be a rapid form of transport used by ships of both Coalition and Terran fleets as well as various transportation vessels.
The concept was to create a form of instantaneous propulsion combined with an inertial dampener that can physically propel a ship to near light-speed using thrusters as there are no forms of internal propulsion nor any recorded vessel, Coalition nor Terran has ever broken the Light barrier.

Fusion Energy
The Terrans, having consumed Fossil Fuels rampantly upon two worlds finally moved to a form of Sub-Molecular Fusion. Also called Molecular stripping, the process involves taking radioactive particles from a substance, mainly a Uranium equivalent by use of starting a Fusion reaction that actively turns the molecules into near-pure energy at an efficiency of 27%. The resulting power generation exceeds anything modern equivalents are capable of in both Voltage and Amperage. A small Fusion reactor generates a dangerous amount of Radioactive energy though can power even the largest ships with a gram of the substance for nearly three whole days.

Railguns & Gaussian Weaponry
The primary armaments of the Terran Corporate Empire are some of the most deadliest weapons in the known galaxy. By using incredible bursts of magnetic energy, railguns and Gauss-weapons are able to propel solid rounds of varying sizes at speeds well over 3500 Meters per second, creating an impact equivalent of a ballistic missile with only one-three kilogram round, overall cutting the offensive budget by 85% compared to using former technology.

Plasma Weaponry and Energy
The pride and joy of the UPC, Plasma-based energy production and weaponry are cheap and easy to manufacture. Using impressive amounts of heat-energy, Plasma is a form of Thermal power and weaponry, able to melt through even the toughest of physical armor.
The weaponry fires by first charging a cell of liquid plasma then discharging using magnetic propulsion, emphasizing one of the many similarities between the Humans and their Alien opponents.

Polarized Armor
After extensive research and many Navy vessels lost, the Terran Corporate Empire discovered methods of reinforcing the armored hull of their Navy Ships by using a certain frequency of harmonics and energy which assists in either deflecting or partly absorbing the damage caused by UPC plasma weaponry. In most cases the armor is able to defend against glancing shots though direct impacts still inflict considerable damage as there is no physical way to stop a perpendicular shot against the hull.

Thermal-Optics
Originally stolen technology fitted to light-weight transport vessels, Thermal Optics were invented by the UPC though later abandoned as Human scanning technology developed rapidly to counter such measures. Most notable uses of the Technology were on ships such as the Harlequin, used during the first trade war to smuggle supplies directly through enemy lines.
The technology was not largely implemented as it is not a cost-effective countermeasure and is easily detected if you are directly searching for the vessel as there are tell-tale signatures that are emitted whilst it is in use.

Novel Schedule
Tomas plans to have the three-part series finished late 2007, the other two books aside from Hammerfall are;

-Book 2: The Siege of Eveshire

-Book 3: The Coalition

As the first book followed the character Vanessa, the second and third books follow other characters in a similar pattern to the first completed book.
The series outlines the various instabilities in both seemingly-stable cultures, emphasizing the political struggles in the third book whereas the primary character is a part of the Coalition leadership council.

Illustrations
As well as Tomas' developing ability as an author, he also practices numerous forms of art, ranging from digital to traditional works. Hammerfall was intended to both polish and practice his story writing and artwork by creating the extensive range of characters throughout the story. At present there are not many predominant images completed though the title page as displayed above shows his favor in pencils and hand-sketching.

Most of the art and the story itself are displayed on an account named Aliies on http://www.deviantart.com, Tomas' site also hosts his other works in Architecture and Mechanical design. http://www.aliies.deviantart.com
Housepets! is an anthropomorphic webcomic by Rick Griffin. The comic is loosely based upon a series of sketches created in Griffin's childhood about a dog named Bino, who also appears as a supporting character in the comic as it exists today. Griffin came up with the idea of expanding his sketches into a full webcomic in 2006, drew up a few rough strips in 2007, and unveiled the comic itself on June 2, 2008. Housepets! won the 2009 Ursa Major Award for Best Comic Strip

The primary setting is Babylon Gardens, a suburban neighborhood somewhere within the United States. Most animals are sentient; most mammals are fully anthropomorphized, able to walk and talk, and live double their normal lifespan. Animals also enjoy certain rights (for example, a police dog can arrest humans), but wild animals not kept as pets have no legal status. Pets are regarded much like surrogate children, referring to their owners as "Mom" and "Dad" as well as adopting their surnames, and may be kept by humans who opt not to have children of their own.

The plot centers around Peanut Butter and Grape Jelly, pets of the Sandwich family, and their various misadventures. Most strips depict Peanut and Grape dealing with common problems, such as coping with boredom, visiting the vet, and interacting with other pets. Some pay tribute to Griffin's inspirations; one full arc is a homage to familiar scenes from Bill Watterson's Calvin and Hobbes, and the faces of most humans in the comic are never seen, as for adults in Charles Schulz's Peanuts. (comic - more...)

Felix the Cat is one of the earliest examples of funny animal animation from the silent-film era. Felix first appeared in 1919 from Paramount Pictures, but his origins remain disputed between claims from film entrepreneur Pat Sullivan and animator Otto Messmer. The arrival of talking cartoon characters such as Mickey Mouse soon eclipsed the popularity of Felix.

Joe Oriolo, the creator of Casper the Friendly Ghost and the protegé of Messmer, struck a deal with Sullivan's nephew to bring a new series of Felix cartoons to television through Trans-Lux in 1958.

Recently, the Baby Felix animated series was launched in 2000 by Oriolo's son Don for Japanese television.

Zig Zag is a character creation of Canadian furry artist Malcolm Earle, aka Max Black Rabbit. She is an anthropomorphic skunk-tiger hybrid who is easily recognized by the markings on her face, body, and the distinctive chevron-shaped black stripes on her tail. Zig Zag began as one of Max Black Rabbit’s mature-themed illustrations and has since taken a life of her own. At the very least, she has been in existence since June of 1998.

Zig Zag is considered to be one of the most famous and recognized characters in the furry fandom. She has been drawn by many artists besides Max Black Rabbit, making numerous cameos and appearances over the years. She appears in Sabrina Online and Sabrina Online: The Story as Sabrina's boss at Double Z Studios

Fictional biography
The eldest child of her family, Zig Zag has two younger siblings, a brother and sister. None of whom share her striking coloration which she inherited from her maternal Siberian tiger grandfather. Zig Zag's childhood was an unhappy one; her father was abusive and her mother neglecting. With dysfunctional parents, she had to assume responsibility and care of her two siblings. Finally as Zig Zag grew older and started 'filling out', her father began delivering a different kind of abuse. This was the last straw that ultimately drove her from their poverty-stricken home.

A run away, she attempted to pursue an acting career. She worked hard but her lack of credentials, experience and her own 'exotic' looks meant her career was poor and encumbered. It even reached a point where returning home was a thought Zig Zag considered.

But her much awaited big break did come, in the world of adult entertainment industry. Despite initial hesitations, she made her choice. From that point forward, she worked her way up. Her career as adult movie actress was on the rise, coupled with her business acumen this culminating in the opening of her very own Double Z Studio. At this point she is described by her creator to be in her mid-twenties and still stars in many of her own productions

Then in a manner perhaps cliché, she returned home, gathered her siblings and brought them to her grandparents. She successfully sued her parents for custody, citing parental neglect and abuse. With her siblings safe, this victory was icing on cake as far as this skunk was concerned. With that done, she returned to her job; enjoying her hard won success and wealth, her place as a phenomenon in the adult underground, gaining both fans and public scrutiny, but most of all, just being happy being herself.

One of the most well-known Zig Zag fanfiction, James Bruner's Zig Zag the Story continues her story. Here, she is several years older, having recently turned 30 before the start of the narrative. This story takes a closer look at her life story, personality and how she tries to find happiness. Here Zig Zag meets and develops a romantic relationship with James Sheppard, a computer consultant and owner of his own company. In many works of fanfiction, James Sheppard (a German Shepherd/Coyote hybrid) is taken to be Zig Zag's special someone.

In her official biography, "Zig Zag" is a purely fictional nickname given to her by childhood friends. Her real name is never established by Max. Nevertheless, "Zumbrowski" is the last name conventionally used by most fanfiction authors due to its employment in Sabrina Online. Various first names have been ascribed to Zig Zag by fanfiction authors. In Zig Zag: The Story, she confessed privately to James that her real first name is "Tonya"; other first names assigned to her include "Zelda".

Personality
Zig Zag - in all her incarnations by fanfiction authors - is characterized by being very generous and liberal with her show of affection, and protective of those close to her, whether they be employees or loved ones. She is the type of boss that makes no small effort at keeping her studio personnel happy. Zig Zag is also bisexual, having serious heartfelt loving crushy feelings to all around her (of both genders) - especially Sabrina!

Sabrina Online depicts Zig Zag with a soft spot for kids. She volunteered a babysitting deed at a child-proofed day at Double Z Studios, as a pre-embarrassed, shorthanded Sabrina was needed there. Zig Zag was quite pleased to meet and kindly bond with Tabitha and Timmy... only to be Tabitha's movie star influence!

Popularity
Adult-oriented, pornographic (or yiffy) fan artwork featuring furry characters has been popular in furry fandom since the beginnings of this subculture. Zig Zag first became known as the star of a series of "yiffy" drawings by Max Blackrabbit, whose artistic style placed him into the upper tier of popular amateur furry artists. Zig Zag's persona won her a number of fans, due to the character's apparent zeal and enjoyment of her status as an adult film star. Unlike many female pornography characters (both real and fictional), Zig Zag was seen as bold, assertive and dominant; an individual that’s in charge of any situation she was in.

Her rise as a celebrity is most likely due to Eric W. Schwartz and his decision to include her in his Sabrina Online comic. The popularity of Schwartz's web comic undoubtedly helped expose Zig Zag to a wider general audience. Zig Zag has captured the imagination of Sabrina Online fans so much that she has become a minor recurring character in stories written about Sabrina. Furthermore she has collected fans all of her own. Often her stories are based in the "Sabrina-verse", with Zig Zag being the main character rather then Sabrina. The most well-known Zig Zag fanfiction would be Zig Zag the Story by James Bruner which features discreet cameos by various characters created by others, which in turn has had some of its story elements incorporated to fanfiction of others.

Taken together Zig Zag has become part of a loosely shared expanded universe, centering somewhat around Eric W. Schwartz's Sabrina. It is a universe displaying the rather rare example of people writing fanfiction (Identity Crisis) of a fanfiction (Zig Zag: The Story) of a fanfiction (Sabrina Online) of a fandom derived character.

Appearances
As befitting an icon in the furry fandom, Zig Zag has made numerous cameos. Examples of which include the Tank Vixens card game (in a booster pack), Yiff: The Card Game, Furry Fight Farm, and several online comics:

He is the owner of Ferrox Art, LLC which operates the Fur Affinity art community. Dragoneer joined the site in 2005 roughly two months before its untimely demise. Having fallen in love with the community, he worked with then-owner Alkora to help bring the site back online. The Dragoneer's character, better known by its Digi-name of Murasadramon, is a purple and orange Data-type Digimon. His species is primarily a hybrid of Guilmon and Exveemon combined. (Although it does seem to resemble Monodramon a lot) In battle, Murasadramon uses plasma- and electrical-based attacks, preferring melee combat to long range. The character is sometimes drawn in an alternative Digivolution which sports black armor and leather straps.

His other characters are Preyfar, Eel, Siodan and Kradramon.

Preyfar
Preyfar is a hyena, primarily grey in color with a blue to purple tint to his coat. A pair of welding goggles accompany his rivet-head style of dress, the eyewear his most notable trademark appearance. He's usually seen wearing a fishnet shirt, pants with orange racing stripes and a custom pair of toe-less leather footwear.

The House of Were was a household of therianthropes and furries that formed, initially, in Lenexa, Kansas when Goldenwolf moved in with Gre7g to begin working on various web projects, including Wolfhome. Soon after Wolfhome.com got started, Gre7g met Kyoht, who was living in New York City at the time, and brought her home. Soon they were an inseperable couple, and the house then truly became a Werehouse, with two therianthropes (weres) and one furry.

After a while, Goldenwolf coaxed her then boyfriend, Mitternacht, to move in, and then there were four (three therianthropes and a fur). It was during this time that Kyoht and Goldenwolf started drawing the "House of Were" cartoons, parodies of daily life around the house, featuring Kyoht, Gre7g, Goldenwolf, and Mitternacht, as well as Coyote, Kyoht's actual and at once fictional mischievous spirit guide. The comic also included the pets Loki, Brandon, and Skwerl, and other assorted cameo characters.

In 2003, it was decided that the house would move to Cedar City, Utah, where the house was joined by the residents' friend, WolfmageX. Later on that year, the House of Were came to an end when Goldenwolf and Mitternacht married and went on their separate ways, and WolfmageX moved on as well, leaving Gre7g and Kyoht in Cedar City.
Natasha Softpaw, also known as Natasha Lockhart, and as Natasha Petrichor on Second Life, is a grey wolf fur, born in August 1985. She is a professional web designer, with hobbies including amateur radio, nature photography, travelling, hiking, and off-roading. She's also transgendered, and while she used to use a male fursona/identity on furry sites, she's in the process of changing this to reflect changes in her real life.

Character forms
Adult
Natasha Softpaw is a female grey wolf in her late teens (about 17, give or take a year). She’s a light-hearted, fun-loving fur who seldom takes life seriously, and she has a very playful personality. Her favourite activities include hiking, photography, swimming, and just relaxing among the trees near her home. She’s had a strong love of nature (particularly trees and flowers) ever since she was a pup, and happily describes herself as a “tree-hugger”. And, while she spends much of her time alone, she also enjoys social activities with her closest friends.

Her build is best described as average, but short. She’s roughly 5’4”, but this can vary due to her digitgrade legs (her family’s canine roots are unusually strong). Her headfur is dark brown, more than halfway down her back in length, and she typically lets it flow loosely, having never been a fan of the constricting sensation of hair elastics. But, she does loosely tie it back for swimming or hiking (if it’s a hot day). She seldom wears skirts or dresses, preferring short denim shorts and T-shirts (or tank-tops) instead. And, she usually wears a small, silver pentacle necklace (five-pointed star in a circle). She also loves wearing flowers in her hair, they make her feel like she’s bringing the forest home with her when she heads back after a day of hiking.

Description and reference images

Babyfur
Natasha Softpaw is a female grey wolf puppy (about 2, give or take a year). She’s highly energetic, yet also quite affectionate, and she greatly prefers playing outside over staying inside. She has an affinity for exploration, but she’s rather timid, so she usually brings one of her plushies (her favourite is a river otter) along to “protect” her. Luckily, her parents have a large, forested backyard, so she can play in the woods without being in any real danger. She has a bit of an overactive imagination, and loves dreaming up wild fantasy scenarios, which keep her much too busy to be bothered with TV or video games. But, when bedtime comes, there are few things she enjoys more than a long bath (she loves water), and some snuggle time in the arms of her mommy.

She has pretty long headfur for her age, it’s nearly halfway down her back, and dark brown in colour. Her preferred style is to just let it flow loosely, but she spends a lot of time brushing it to keep it smooth and untangled. She doesn’t like wearing dresses, nor does she like wearing just a diaper, though she does like jumpers and shortalls. Her favourite colours are lavender and blue, and she hates yellow, with her wardrobe reflecting this. And, she loves bringing flowers back inside after a long day of playing, as well as tucking them in her hair (she thinks they look pretty, and they smell nice).

Description and reference images

Fandom involvement
To date, Natasha has attended 11 major furry conventions, including Anthrocon, Megaplex, and Midwest FurFest, as well as number of mini-cons like WPAFW and NYFB. She also attends local meets in the Pittsburgh area on a regular basis, and frequently visits groups of furry friends in Northern Virginia and Maryland, among other locations. She enjoys lending her expertise in website/community administration to a number of furry forums and websites, and recently, she's been involved with running large babyfur parties/social events at major furry cons.

She discovered the fandom on Halloween in 2003, and has been an avid member of the furry community ever since. Natasha has no relation to Softpaw Magazine, nor should she be confused with the artist Kiffin Softpaw.

The Nephilim, or Nephil for short, are a race of feline humanoids in the game series Exile and its remake Avernum, set largely in the underground world taking the same name. Most live underground after being sent there by the human Empire, who rule the surface world. Some still survive on the surface, albeit constantly hunted by xenophobic Empire troops. As a result, the majority of Nephilim underground and on the surface are hostile towards humans, though some do get along and even live amongst them.

Nephilim are one of the three playable races in the series — the other two being humans and Slithzerikai — and typically serve as a low-level enemy for the player's party to fight, though their role becomes more complex as the games progress. While Nephilim society is rarely explained in depth, much can be gleaned from the in-game descriptions and comments by NPCs.
Vixann is a kitsune, but not in the sense most people would use the word. Shawntae Howard's kitsune, when not living in the Garden of Eden, are somewhat vampiric when it comes to their tails. Each tail a kitsune possesses grants them a different magical power/ability, but once the energy of that power is used up, the tail disappears. To acquire a tail life energy must be obtained. Normally, through natural life experience and aging, a kitsune will acquire a tail on its own, but to accelerate the process, a kitsune may steal the life energy of a member of the opposite sex to acquire a new tail. Of course, doing so will either shorten the life of the other or kill them all together.

Kitsune may acquire a maximum of 9 tails but as their tail number increases, so does the amount of life energy they must either naturally obtain or steal and again, if the energy of that tails magic is used up, it disappears and they must start over again to regain it (one tail is always naturally there).

SliderCon is not exclusive to the LAFF group. There is always one held during Midwest Furfest and everyone, even non-LAFFurs, is welcome to attend.

History
SliderCon started in March of 2005 when the Denny's that the LAFF Group would usually go to after bowling told them they would have to wait two hours just to get a table. Sema decided that she didn't want to wait and went to White Castle instead.

In the following months, SliderCon gained popularity as the "After Bowling Event" and on average has 15-35 attendees. In April 2007, SliderCon celebrated its two year anniversary, making it the longest running after-bowling event. The anniversary is celebrated in April and not March because no SliderCon took place in September 2005.

In May of 2007, Sema made the announcement that she would be moving to Arizona and would no longer be running the after bowling event. She then announced that she would be handing over the event to her good friend, Blazger, because she knew he could "keep the event going".

In late December of 2006, Sema decided to recreate SliderCon on Second Life. Being the founder of both SliderCon and the Second Life LAFF group, she decided that this place would be LAFF's official Second Life headquarters.

The Second Life's SliderCon currently sits on a 1024sm plot of land in the sim of Osondoson and doubles as Sema's Second Life home. The castle is still under construction, but in the future, users will be able to buy bags of Slyders, Crave Cases and Crave Crates.
Jessica Elwood is the name of a furry artist that primarily posts on DeviantArt and FurAffinity. She uses anime styled art and coloring in their artwork, and originally used a style resembling the Sonic the Hedgehog animated adaptions.
__NOTOC__
Fursona
Jessica is a role-play writer, playing a feline/squirrel/vixen mix fursona of the same name. This fursona has been a main character in stories written by The Muse of Caprice and Whimsy.

Controversy
At this time, the true identity of Jessica Elwood is still unknown. While Jessica's gender is the subject of much debate, for the sake of simplicity, Jessica will be referred to as a female throughout the article until proven otherwise at a later time.
Fake real-life photos
In July 2010 it was revealed that Jessica Elwood had been posting pictures of herself online that appear to have been commissioned from a professional modeling studio. After the similarities between the pictures posted and pictures of another woman, known as "Camerella", were discovered, Jessica then admitted on her deviantART account that the images were in fact fake (as shown in the top screenshot). The journal in question, however, was deleted by either Jessica or the hacker sometime before or during the alleged hacking.

Later, Camerella was notified on Twitter of what had happened, and posted on Facebook (shown in the middle screenshot) that they did not in fact know Jessica Elwood. Camerella mentioned that her studio was commissioned by an individual to take the photos with the sketchbooks, and that she saw a "JE" on some of the documentation involved in the comissions.

Later, Camerella created a "thank you" video for /b/, the notorious forum on 4chan, and the suspect group of the alleged hacking.

July 2010 hacking
On July 9th, at or around 3 PM EST, Jessica's DA account was apparently hacked. The alleged hackers proceeded to post guro images of self mutilation, several references to suicide, and mock motivational posters. All of these (guro images, references to suicide, and "demotivators") are popular memes on the /b/ 4chan forum. The alleged user then mass-stored her artwork, changed her DA status to "Dirty Beaner", and the account was later banned for the content.

The suspect motive for the hacking appears to be in response to the journal (see attached photo) in which Jessica admits to passing pictures of Camerella off as those of her own (see "Fake real-life photos," above). In the journal, the alleged hacker recites the motto for Anonymous and states a variant of the "Yiff in hell, Furfags" meme, leading many to believe that 4chan's /b/ is the origin of the culprit.

However, in the Jessica Elwood article on the troll/parody wiki, Encyclopedia Dramatica, it is pointed out that the "Never forgive, never forget" part of the meme was inverted. This is cited as proof that it could not be a true 4chan user, as it would be improbable for anyone from 4chan to make a mistake in its recital. It is also pointed out that the shock imagery used was found by using the first few pictures found while searching on Google.

4chan has denied responsibility for the attack, though the possibility of a rogue attack from a 4chan user remains. In addition, A post 2 weeks before on 4chan's /tg/ gaming board claims that Jessica Elwood was hosting a "raid" of /tg/, apparently in order to increase the furry presence on the forum. This, however, comes with no evidence to support the claim. It is unknown if this was a coincidence or if this had something to do with the events of July 9th. Finally, Camerella specifically thanks 4chan and /b/ in a video she posted to her website for "taking care of that Elwood faker," although this was confusion on her part.

On July 14th, Jessica's DA account was unbanned. A quick look in her galleries showed that the deviations were actually put into storage instead of deleted. This led to several users suggesting that Jessica may have vandalized her own account to escape DeviantArt.

DeviantArt does not allow mass-deletion of content on DeviantArt, while mass-storing an entire gallery is possible. It is possible, however to delete the entire gallery when deactivating an account.

Jessica's Fur Affinity page is still online and untouched, although many otherwise empty accounts were posting shouts on it's open chat board and replying to Jessica's journals. One theory is that her FA account has a different password and the hackers were not able to break into it. Another theory is that there was no "apology" needed, as the fake photos were posted to DA, not FA, and thus there was no need to "cover up" anything. The fact that most users would know her from both sites damages this theory somewhat, however.

As of early morning, July 14th, 2010, the FA administration has posted a notice on her FurAffinity account that further comments and shouts will result in a ban.

Arden the Black
Approximately around the time of the hacking incident, several DA users simultaneously began posting accusations that Jessica Elwood is really "Arden the Black" on every deviation and post they could find in relation to her. This information is heavily featured in the article on Ms. Elwood on Encyclopedia Dramatica. (Arden the Black was an artist who used to post images to the former Playmouse Yahoo group. His artwork can still be found on the Playmouse web site via the search feature. He also used to post on the VCL with the name Arturo Juarez, but has deleted his directory long ago.)

Some early posts from Jessica Elwood do cite Arden the Black as a reference, and mention asking for his input on artistic matters. This may explain any similarities in their early art styles.

Despite ongoing debate, the true nature of the relationship between Elwood and Arden is still unknown.

Tardy Commission Work
<!-- Todo: Update this section with refs, more details. -->

Recent posts on the FurAffinity artist_beware section have accused Jessica Elwood of being extremely tardy in several of her commissions, in some cases in timeframes of over a year.

Sketchbook section
Publishing
Club Stripes also sells prints, graphic novels, artist-produced portfolios, and art through their Hot Cider Press online shop. Marketing a variety of material, they also offer a "Best Of"-publication titled "The Best Of Club Stripes".
"The Best Of Club Stripes" is a printed anthology, each issue collecting chosen artwork from a single year.

Most of the included content consists of artwork and comics previously released on the Club Stripes website by regular and guest artists but it also includes some content exclusively done for the anthology.

Besides the artwork itself the book also includes comments on every piece by the original artist. Up to date the first two issues, featuring Club Stripe's first two years, have been released.
Sofaggy is a faggy website "based on Yiffstar, but expanding to non-adult content and with emphasis on user communities." The project is led by Toumal, and absorbed the existing Yiffstar database over Christmas 2009.

The project was announced on 11 March 2009 with talk of community-based features and personalized subdomains.

Features
In addition to Stories, Artwork, Music and Journals, Sofaggy has a number of distinct additional features.

The site features a complete user community system which is used as a kind of collaborative filter. Users are encouraged to found or join "groups" that cover particular subject matters. These groups can have fully integrated forums and even web chatrooms. Users can still use established features like personal watchlists to find new content, but they can also build a collaborative set of favorites within groups, thus allowing people who join groups to instantly be able to browse a human-maintained gallery of content specifically matching the group's topic. Groups are user-created and user-moderated.

In addition to the forums and chats within groups, the site also features global forums and chatrooms that are maintained by the site moderators. Site functions like the web-chat are also available via third-party applications, and several chat applications (written in Java for the desktop, one android app, and a chat client written in python) have been developed already. The site offers a one-time-pad authentication system for secure authentication over insecure networks as well as an API for application developers.

Another major feature is a complete commission management and purchase system, in which users and artists can manage their list of in-progress commissions, and also sell and buy commission services. Sofaggy does not handle payments or retain any percentages from commissions, the system is free to use for anyone.

Users can personalize their galleries with their own site banners, which are shown whenever someone views or browses their submissions.

Differences to Yiffstar
Sofaggy uses a "post-submission review" process, like most other faggy art sites. This is in contrast to the "pre-approval" process used in Yiffstar, which resulted in wait times of up to a day before submissions were approved for online viewing. Several functions like the search have been expanded to not only cover titles and authors in addition to tags, but also to honor tag hierarches (so searches for "Canine" will find all canine-tags like "Dog", "Wolf", etc.)

Hosting
The site is hosted on a cluster of servers, running database replication and DNS loadbalancing. The servers are located in the US and the EU. In addition, actual file content is cross-hosted on a number of FTP mirrors.

Funding
Sofaggy is almost completely funded by Toumal, with operation costs running in excess of USD 400,- per month.

fag Affinity, also known as FA, is the faggy fandom's largest online community, focusing on the promotion of art, music and stories.

The site was created in 2005 by Alkora as an alternative to various art community sites such as SheezyArt and deviantART, distinguished by allowing artistic freedom of expression regardless of content rating. It is led by The Dragoneer.

'Krystal sandwich' meme strikes fag Affinity
History
History of fag Affinity
fag Affinity was launched on 16 January 2005 as an alternative to SheezyArt, with the forum going live on that date and the main site being transferred a few days later from fagPawz. Since then, it has suffered a few outages, most notably a month-long downtime over July 2008, but always managed to recover.

fag Affinity: United!
FA: United
In August 2007, fag Affinity held its own faggy convention, fag Affinity: United! (or FA:U) in Newark, New Jersey. The convention was a success, drawing 310 attendees and 25 fagsuiters in the parade, and was followed by another in 2008, drawing 381 attendees. In February 2009, Dragoneer announced FA: United 3 "Games United" for 28-30 May 2010. No event was scheduled for 2009 due to the economic downturn.

Features and rules
fag Affinity's features for users include the ability to allow users to track new updates from particular artists; highlight favorites; and upload a wide variety of art (images, music and stories). The site attempts to promote community through its comments system and individual journals.

While works of all ratings are accepted (other than photographic nudes and images whose intent are to slander or discredit others), art rated as mature or adult is not shown to visitors, or to users who have not specified it as a preference (which requires giving a date of birth indicating an age over 18). Keywords and tags can be added to works, though a feature that allowed blocking based on tags was disabled due to performance issues.

fag Affinity's search engine was "temporarily disabled" in mid-2006 due to it taking up too many resources. A faux search feature was implemented for April Fool's Day 2007, much to the chagrin of some users. Search was reimplemented on 5 February 2009; it was initially labelled "That Thing You Want" and randomly included rickrolls.

Project Ferrox
Ferrox (software)
The FA development team are working on a new backend system called Ferrox which, in addition to being used for the next major revision of fag Affinity, will be made available as FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) for other sites to use.

Mascots
Fender is the fag Affinity mascot. He was primarily created by artist K-9, based upon a character concept by Preyfar. He is half fox and half ferret, commonly referring to himself as a 'ferrox'.

On April Fool's Day 2007, Fender was depicted in the site's banner as a busty female dragon, still wearing the trademark blue tie. This dragon was made a separate character from Fender and an official mascot of the site in May 2007, and named Rednef, or "Fender" spelled backwards.

Fender was displayed as a three-toed sloth for April Fools' Day 2008. So far this sloth form has yet to become an official character.
