Edge (known as xedgewolfx on Fur Affinity) (born May 28th, 1990) is an male amateur furry/anthropomorphic artist, musician and fursuiter. Originally from Oil City, Pennsylvania, but now lives in Orlando, Florida.

Online/fandom presence
Within the fandom, Edge is known primarily as an artist, but also a musician and fursuiter. He frequently does both personal and commissioned work. He often attends FWA and Elliott's Live Events but has also attended AnthroCon in the past. Edge has drawn much influence for his digital art throughout the years from other artists within the fandom such as Cornershop, Patto, Kamui, Muttmonster, TaoRen and others. He also has mentioned his inspiration coming from underground artists within the music scene, primarily from Jacob Bannon and Dave Quiggle. While taking inspiration from all these sources he maintains his own style known for often using heavy lines and textures. He uses Photoshop and Paint Tool Sai for his digital art.

On the side of his artistic interests, he also has an electronic music project, Gears Of The Apparatus (named after the grindcore band Bodies In The Gears Of The Apparatus). GOTA covers and takes inspiration from a wide spectrum of electronic genres including Electro, House, IDM, Dubstep, 8 Bit, Trap and more. Musical inspiration ranges from other electronic acts like Telefon Tel Aviv, Jon Hopkins, Porter Robinson, Seven Lions, and various trap artists. Much of his music features a focus on melodic and harmonic progression and non-electronic works take inspiration from metalcore, deathcore and such metal/hardcore sub-genres. He produces his music in Fruity Loops and uses Audacity for sample chopping. He also produces ambient/post rock music with similarities to other acts in the genres such as Explosions In The Sky, Hammock, This Will Destroy You and Caspian..

Origin and fursona
Edge first came across the furry fandom in 2005 but never was a participating member until March 5th, 2008 when a friend convinced him to get a Fur Affinity account. His username was hastily thrown together from references to hardcore music and straight edge culture, the nickname Edge came from this. His fursona is a grey wolf with blonde hair and stretched ears, based upon his actual appearance. Initially he first drew himself as a plain brown wolf, later attempting to redesign his fursona but the markings of the design were ambiguous at best due to an old style he practiced that was heavily based upon realism. He then had his first commissioned work done of his fursona by McArson who simplified his markings into the basis of what his fursona is today with a few small modifications.

Art of Edge usually depicts him as extremely angry, sarcastic or in some kind of foul mood but in person he's far more calm and approachable.

Real life
Outside of the fandom Edge's interests include music, playing guitar, drums, singing, art, fashion, collecting records, tattoos and body modification, thrift shopping, photography, aroma therapy and interior and graphic design. He has played guitar since the age of 15 and has had an interest in art from a very young age.
Outside of the fandom Edge's interests include music, playing guitar, drums, singing, art, fashion, Asian culture (animation, food, design and tea), vinyl records, tattoos and body modification, thrift shopping, photography, and interior and graphic design. He has played guitar since the age of 15 and has had an interest in art from a very young age. His musical tastes range from electronic genres such as ambient IDM, dubstep, house and electro to heavier music like deathcore, metalcore and mathcore, to post-rock, screamo, indie and shoegaze. He also likes skateboarding and snowboarding though he has professed hardly being good at either.

He is currently dating Deke Shepherd and often expresses dislike for tendencies of members of the fandom to act "slutty" or "tactless", preferring traditional monogamous relationships. Since high school he has maintained a straight edge lifestyle, convicting himself to sobriety. On the subject he has stated that he doesn't mind moderation but often denounces the modern "culture of intoxication", having extreme distaste for the use of marijuana other than out of medicinal necessity contradictory to his boyfriend being a proponent of it's use. Edge is also a vegetarian, claiming this decision came about due to interests in animal rights as well as personal tastes and health concerns although he disapproves of radical behavior of groups such as PETA.
Much of his music features a focus on melodic and harmonic progression and inspiration from his interests in metalcore, deathcore and such metal/hardcore sub-genres is apparent. He produces his music in Fruity Loops and uses Audacity for small editing to individual sound clips. In addition to his electronic music he also occasionally writes and records deathcore, being a self-proclaimed "whore for breakdowns" along with an offshoot post-rock project called As Seas Exhale which is stylistically similar to Explosions In The Sky and This Will Destroy You.

His first and current fursuit was a collaborative effort between himself and his friend Havoc (who is now a member of The Critter Factory).

Real Life
Outside of the fandom Edge's interests include music, playing guitar, drums, singing, art, fashion, Asian culture (animation, food, design and tea) and interior and graphic design. He has played guitar since 15 years old and has had an interest in art from a very young age. His musical tastes range from electronic genres such as ambient IDM, dubstep and electro to heavier music like deathcore, metalcore and mathcore, to post-rock and shoegaze.

GOTA covers and takes inspiration from a wide spectrum of electronic genres including Electro, House, IDM, Jungle, Gabber, Dubstep, 8 Bit and more. Edge has stated that much of his musical inspiration comes from fellow fandom musician Renard Queenston and other electronic acts like Telefon Tel Aviv and Autechre.

Art of Edge usually depicts him as extremely angry or in some kind of foul mood but in person he's far more calm and approachable.

Real Life
Outside of the fandom Edge's interests include music, playing guitar, drums, singing, art, fashion and interior and graphic design. He has played guitar since 15 years old and has had an interest in art from a very young age. His musical tastes range from electronic genres such as ambient IDM, dubstep and electro to heavier music like deathcore, metalcore and mathcore, to post-rock and shoegaze. He also likes skateboarding and snowboarding though he has professed hardly being good at either.
Edge (known as xedgewolfx on Fur Affinity) Is an amateur furry/anthropomorphic artist originally from Oil City, Pennsylvania, born May 28th, 1990.

Online/Fandom Presence
Within the fandom Edge is known as an artist, fursuiter and a musician. He frequently does both personal and commissioned work. He often attends FWA and Elliott's Live Events but has also attended AnthroCon in the past. Edge has drawn much influence for his digital art throughout the years from other artists within the fandom such as Cornershop, Patto, Muttmonster, Taoren and others.

Within the fandom Edge is known as an artist, fursuiter and a musician. He frequently does both personal and commissioned work. Edge has drawn much influence for his digital art throughout the years from other artists within the fandom such as Cornershop, Patto, Muttmonster, Taoren and others.

Edge (known as xedgwolfx on Fur Affinity) Is an amateur furry/anthropomorphic artist originally from Oil City, Pennsylvania living in Jacksonville Florida.

Origin
Edge always had an interest in animals growing up and eventually came across the furry fandom in 2005 but never was a participating member until March 5th, 2008 when a friend convinced him to get a Fur Affinity account. His name originally came from an uncertainty as to what to make his FA user name, combining his love for hardcore music, his straightedge lifestyle and the species he intended to make his fursona, he made his user name xedgewolfx and since then it was shortened to a nickname of Edge. His fursona does have an actual name (Tabian Nakoma, named after dogs his cousin owned) but he prefers to go by Edge.
He has snake bite piercings and gaged ears with long, dirty blond, "scene" style hair.

As far as personality goes, Edge the fursona is exactly like Edge in real life, he never felt the need to add additional personalities or powers to his fursona as it was merely his way of expressing the animal he'd like to be in the fandom.

Real Life
Edge grew up in the small town of Oil City, PA where he was born May 28th, 1990 and lived there until 18, when after much stress with his mother and step father along with other personal reasons, he moved to Jacksonville, Florida (December 15th).

He has a passion for music and art. In late 2007, he started his own band art company, Opengrave. Opengrave is unstable and constantly off and on hiatus due to interest being placed elsewhere and lack of commissions from bands. He enjoys graphic design and went to school for one semester at the Venango Campus of Clarion University pursuing a Bachelor Of Fine Art in Graphic Design but decided college wasn't what he wanted. Beside furry art Edge makes many other kinds of "normal" art usually focusing in digital or watercolor.

Edge's orientation is homosexual and despite this has some religious conviction but doesn't associate himself with the Christian faith. He takes interest in listening to a lot of hardcore christian bands along with secular bands and has played guitar since March 2005 focusing on hardcore, metalcore and deathcore styles with his playing. Sometimes displayed in his art and commissions is his love for hardcore music, As I Lay Dying being his favorite band.

He also has interests in skateboarding, snowboarding and hackysack. Some of his favorite artists are Jacob Bannon(singer from the hardcore band Converge), Dennis Sibeijn and Mark Riddick, all prominent artists in the hardcore and metal band art scene, Bannon being a major influence to both his non-furry art and even showing up a bit in his anthro artwork. Along with them other favorite artists include Picasso, Pollack, Duchamp, Kiefer, Kollwitz, Dali and many others.
