== Image:Lawlcommand.jpg, Image:P1010019copy.jpg==

Hello Xcxeon,

This is in regards to ''[[:Image:Lawlcommand.jpg]]'' and ''[[:Image:P1010019copy.jpg]]''. They have not been tagged with a copyright status. This can be a complicated area, so I can try to help if you need any. The Wikipedia [[Wikipedia:WP:IUP|Image use policy]] may give some background, but it isn't policy here.

To deal with this image, there are a few choices:

* If you are the copyright holder, release it under a free license, for example:
** [[Wikipedia:Public domain|Public domain]] <nowiki>{{PDImage}}</nowiki>
** [[Wikipedia:Creative Commons|Creative Commons]] Attribution-ShareAlike <nowiki>{{Cc-by-sa-2.5}}</nowiki>
** [[Wikipedia:GFDL|GFDL]] <nowiki>{{GFDL}}</nowiki>
* If you are asserting that this image is usable under fair use, add an appropriate fair use tag. A very basic summary is that fair use is used for commentary, criticism and review on the image when no free image could be used instead. Some fair use tags are:
** Logos: <nowiki>{{logo}}</nowiki>
** Covers: <nowiki>{{Cover}}</nowiki>
** Comic panels: <nowiki>{{Comic-panel}}</nowiki>
* If the image is already under a free license, provide information on the license, and tag the image if you can.
* If you would like the image to be deleted, ask any [[WikiFur:Administrators|administrator]]

To see a list of current copyright tags available on WikiFur, see [[:Category:Image copyright tags]]
If the copyright status is not resolved, the image may be deleted.

Unless you have a question for me specifically, I'd prefer responses on the page for the image. --[[User:Rat|Rat]] 23:51, 25 November 2007 (UTC)

Lawlcommand.jpg is my home, does it need a copyright tag? P1010019copy.jpg is a picture of my girlfriend, [[Tashafox]] whom can be contacted at tashafox@tragically1337.net for information regarding her picture, as I'm not sure how to tag it. --[[User:Xcxeon|Xcxeon]] 8:37, 2 December 2007 (EST)

Tail

2007-11-21T12:24:21Z

Xcxeon:

'''Tails''' play an important role in furry culture. In [[stories]] and [[art]], the way a tail is held can be just as much an indicator of emotion as eyes, gross bodily posture, or mouth position. Tails are often used to make weak warm hugs, and curling tails together (if possible) is a sure sign of intimacy between two characters. Care is often given to tails; as well as keeping them looking nice, they are also extensions of the spine, which means damage to them is especially painful.

There exists a broad variation in tails. Some tails are short and stubby, like a [[rabbit]] or [[bear]]'s; some are long and brushy, like a [[fox]]'s. Some can wag fast, like a [[wolf]] or [[dog]]s; some are long and slender, like a [[cheetah]] or [[tiger]]'s tail. Some tails can aid in swimming, like an [[otter]] or [[beaver]]'s. Some are prehensile, like a [[monkey]] or [[opossum]]. Others are strong, like a [[kangaroo]]'s. Some creatures, like [[kitsune]], have as many as nine tails.

== Tails in real life ==

Many furs have [[real life]] tails which they have purchased or made themselves. It is quite common to see people walking around [[convention]]s wearing the appropraite tail for their species.

Tails can be purchased at conventions either in the [[Dealers Room]] or [[Artists Alley]], or online from furs who make them.

Rabbit

[[Image:Rabbit fursona.png|thumb|25%|right|An example rabbit [[fursona]] portrait]]

A '''rabbit''' (also known as "lapin" or "lapine" in French, "usagi" in Japanese) is a [[herbivorous]] [[mammal]], physically characterised by long hindlegs, long ears, large front teeth, and a very short, fluffy [[tail]], called a ''scut'' or ''bobtail''.

==Species confusion==

The rabbit is a very well-known animal, but similarities between different species often results in it being confused with other species. The archetypal rabbit is the European Rabbit (''Oryctolagus cuniculus''), which is brown-grey in colour. All domestic rabbits are descended from this species.

In America, European rabbits are often confused with cottontails, which look practically the same, but are a different genus.

The most common confusion is with [[hare]]s; which look like large rabbits. The two are not the same, but they tend to be lumped together.

==Rabbits in culture==

Rabbits are well known for being prolific breeders (as evidenced in the phrase 'breeding like rabbits'). For this reason, they are often used as a symbol of fertility. For the same reason, they are regarded as pests by farmers.

The rabbit is widely predated, and this role as a [[prey]] animal also lends it an air of innocence.

[[Anthropomorphic]] rabbits have often appeared in film and literature. Some popular culture examples are:

* [[Bugs Bunny]] from ''[[Looney Tunes]]''
* [[Lola Bunny]] from ''Space Jam''
* Buster Bunny from ''[[Tiny Toons Adventures]]''
* Babs Bunny from ''Tiny Toons Adventures''
* [[Roger Rabbit]] from ''Who Framed Roger Rabbit''
* [[Cream]] from the [[Sonic]] series
* [[Usagi Yojimbo]]

== Bhunnies ==

A "bhunny" is an attractive [[female]] rabbit. The term is comparable to "[[vixen]]", but applied to a rabbit instead of a [[fox]]. The word is vocalized slowly and drawn out (''bhuuuuunny''), as if the lower jaw were numb and/or weighted down. The term is the result of a [[male]] character seeing an attractive doe rabbit character and being so distracted by the sight he is unable to say anything else.

Many associate the term with the characters [http://roomies.furry.com/roomies/cgi-bin/roomies.cgi?date=20010415 Rhonda] or her mother [http://roomies.furry.com/roomies/cgi-bin/roomies.cgi?date=20030210 RM] from the comic strip ''[[Roomies]]'', but it is unclear whether the term originated there.

Jack (character)

2007-11-21T12:23:13Z

Xcxeon:

'''Jack''' is the title character of the [[webcomic]] [[Jack]]. He is a wizened green [[rabbit]], wearing a ragged, brown cloak and most often seen carrying a scythe. He is the Sin Wrath and it is also his job to collect the souls of the dead and lead them to their final judgment as the [[Wikipedia:Grim Reaper|Grim Reaper]].
{{Spoiler}}
Jack does not enjoy this duty, but it is apparently part of his punishment for sins committed when he was alive. Little of his past is known, as forgetting his past life is also part of Jack's punishment in Hell. Though he has stated he is blessed to not remember his life, he has sought out the help of the angel [[Farrago]] in restoring his memories. The only Sin who follows the rules, he is also the only Sin on reasonably friendly terms with the angels of Heaven, which changes for better or worse through events that happen throughout the comic.

In Hell, Jack takes care of the child [[Fnar]], who considers Jack as somewhat of an uncle of his.

When Jack was alive he was part of a scientific experiment, part of which involved him meeting a female rabbit called Jill, and having no sexual organs. During this time, Jill was killed as part of the experiment, which made Jack wrathful, saying "'''She''' died, so '''I''' made me God!" although what he did exactly is unknown.

It could be contrued that Jack and Jill were collectively the first anthropomorphic animals on earth, as the details of the scientific experiment involving him appear to be that rabbit/hare DNA was injected into an already fertilized human egg cell, which was then grown in a laboratory and resulted in Jack. As he is referred in in the comic as being a Dictator, perhaps it was he who decimated the human race and ushered in the 'furries' (as [[Dr. Kane]] once referred to them.) as the ruling race of Earth. It has also been hinted that [[Dr. Kane]] was one of the human scientists working on the experiment that Jack was the control group for.

As the Sin of Wrath, he is quite quick to anger. However, since the sin is not usually associated with self-interest, he often does this out of more outgoing feelings, such as love. However, after absorbing [[Drip]], his brother sin Lust, into his being, his higher rage has become more common in tense situations.
