Kimberleigh Ann Keister is a former furry best known for controversial activities in regard with furry fandom, especially concerning the Road Rovers fandom. Because of her behavior, it has been occasionally theorized that she may be a hoax.

Controversy
Kim, Road Rovers and Kylen Miles
Kim first came to public attention when she became involved in the Road Rovers fandom by participating in art trades, conversation, and other social activities. Eventually she became acquaintances with Kylen Miles, a popular artist in the fandom and animation student at Loyola Marymount University. Kim soon appeared to emulate her in controversial ways, allegedly drawing characters that closely resembled Kylen's as well as tracing Kylen's drawings and passing them off as her own. fact

With growing disagreement between herself and the Road Rovers community at large, she became estranged from them. She criticized its members through several mediums, including furry message boards, LiveJournals, and newsgroups. She claimed that Kylen Miles had actually copied her art, and that Kylen was stalking her.fact

Furry gallery bans
Kim was indefinitely suspended from the VCL at the start of 2005 for her persistent complaints about the site and the "internet rules" it was breaking. The ban was later upgraded to permanent after threats of sexual harassment charges were made to Ch'marr. As of May 2006 this has been the only exception to the VCL's policy of "no permanent bans".

Kim was banned from FurAffinity in early 2006, after fabricating a story in which, as she claimed, "dedicated hackers" were constantly hijacking her account and posting dozens of new posts in what would have been the span of five minutes. She threatened the site's administrators with legal action through the FBI's "Special Internet Crime Department" and was banned from the site after IP logs of her account activity proved that no one but herself had accessed the account since its creation. fact

Her over-exaggerating has cast considerable doubts on many of her public claims of accomplishment, such as her being an animator with ties to the Walt Disney corporation. fact

Portal of Evil
The controversy received additional public attention when her site, Wintermist Productions, was featured on Portal of Evil in 2002. For years, the has been consistently active, and remains one of the largest message counts on PoE to this day.

Currently the most informative (however out of date) source of information on Kim is the Kim Keister Primer written by JockoJones on Portal of Evil.

Kim herself has appeared in the PoE forum at least once to argue with the people criticizing her site, and a number of impersonators claiming to be her also helped to feed the drama surrounding her.

Continuing online presence
Kim still continues to be active on the internet, maintaining a MySpace (however it is private-locked), and occasionally complaining about Kylen. Due to her particular behavior described so far, her detractors have assigned alternate, demeaning aliases to identify her, such as KAK, Kimmah, Kimmaugh, KOOK, HamBeast, or the KAK-Beast.

Kimberleigh Ann Keister is once again active on DeviantART, a website that allows artists to upload their artwork and recieve comments and critiques. Her username is mysticwavesannleigh , and she spends most of her time on DeviantART leaving rude comments and "trolling" artists.
