Please try and keep to clean language. For now, it is highly believed that this was a raid, considering that multiple places, including Wikifur, were attacked. It is unlikely that it is something Jessica did herself. It is because we do not know whether it was 4chan or Encyclopedia Dramatica (or perhaps some other group) that were involved that the language in the article is hesitant to say which it was as well. For now, until proof can be found one way or another, the wording in the article will stay as it is. If you wish for it to be changed, please find proof that can be used as a reference. I don't know about the "Arden the Black" situation, and I can't say who really carried out the attack. I don't approve of such measures. However I can speak to one or two things:

1. "Jessica Colaneri" was the name she emailed me under, so that much is accurate.

2. All paypal transactions with her were carried out under the name of Martha Guerrero Martinez, so that much is also accurate.

3. The behavior described at Encyclopedia Dramatica is *exactly* what happened to me. I paid her $65 through paypal, got absolutely nothing, not even a sketch, and only got a refund two years later when I suggested opening a thread about it on livejournal/artits_beware. That was entirely accurate, and I'm not the only person who has been taken.

And for those of you calm, rational, and interested enough to POLITELY ask for it, I can and will provide proof.

While there doesn't seem to be reference to "Arden the Black" outside of 4chan/ED, there is reference to Arden/"Arturo Juarez"... http://fchan.us/f/res/243.html#896 That's the first reference to Arden in that thread. Look through that and you'll find people who have archived Arturo's work along with some people who noticed the similarities with JE's work. If this article wants to be accurate, then point out that there is speculation about it being a real hack or not. But saying something absolutely happened without proof isn't acceptable. Most of the people that follow her on DA also follow on FA so they're gonna find out. It would have been smart to nuke all of her accounts instead of just 2. I've got the article to a fairly neutral standpoint as it is. I expect Jessica fanboys might try to revert back to the older and obviously biased/slanted version, which was clearly very unprofessional in nature. Words like 'trolls' and 'retarded' are not appropriate, and the article was clearly not from a neutral point of view. I believe that it is neutral now and presents the facts pretty clearly, as they were known at the time of the revisions. I have a fairly unbiased view, I think, on what's going on, as I'm not part of ED or any of those organizations, nor am I a close-minded furry fanboy that will reject anything negative about Jessica, however bulletproof it is. ==Fake Real-Life Photos==

In July of 2010 it was revealed that Jessica Elwood had been posting picture of herself online that turned out to be of someone else entirely. After the similarities between the pictures posted and pictures of another woman, known as "Camerella", Jessica then admitted on her DA account that the images were in fact fake (as shown in the top screenshot). Later, Camerella was notified on Twitter of what had happened, and posted on Facebook (shown in the bottom screenshot) that they did not in fact know Jessica Elwood, casting doubt on Jessica's admission and demonstrating that the photos were probably stolen.

==July 2010 hacking==
On July 9th, at or around 3 PM EST, Jessica's DA account was hacked. The hackers proceeded to post guro images of self mutilation, "meme" in jokes, then deleted all her uploaded images, changed her DA status to "Dirty Beaner", locked her password and then got her banned from the site. This appeared to be in response for posting pictures claiming them to be of her on her normal deviantart account and picture account, only to later tell people she had been posting pictures that were not of her at all (see above). It is not at this time clear if the hackers were from 4chan/ED, or if the entire thing was a hoax in order to deflect attention for the fake photos incident. This article is taking a neutral position on the matter.

At the same time, a DA troll began posting accusations that Jessica Elwood is really "Arden the Black" on every deviation and post they could find in relation to her. ([[Arden the Black]] was an artist that used to post images to the former [[Playmouse]] Yahoo group, and whose artwork can still be found on the Playmouse web site via the search feature. He also used to post on the [[VCL]] with the name Arturo Juarez, but has deleted his directory long ago.)

Jessica's [[Fur Affinity]] page is still online and untouched. One theory is that it has a different password and the hackers were not able to break into it. The hoax theory however supposes that since no "apology" for fake photos was posted there, there was no need to "cover up" anything. Again, much of this is speculation at this point

In July of 2010 it was revealed that Jessica Elwood had been posting picture of herself online that turned out to be of someone else entirely. After the similarities between the pictures posted and pictures of another woman, known as "Camerella", Jessica then admitted on her DA account that the images were in fact fake (as shown in the top screenshot). Later, Camerella was notified on Twitter of what had happened, and posted on Facebook (shown in the bottom screenshot) that they did not in fact know Jessica Elwood, casting doubt on Jessica's admission and demonstrating that the photos were probably stolen.

==July 2010 hacking==
On July 9th, at or around 3 PM EST, Jessica's DA account was hacked. The hackers proceeded to post guro images of self mutilation, "meme" in jokes, then deleted all her uploaded images, changed her DA status to "Dirty Beaner", locked her password and then got her banned from the site. This appeared to be in response for posting pictures claiming them to be of her on her normal deviantart account and picture account, only to later tell people she had been posting pictures that were not of her at all (see above). It is not at this time clear if the hackers were from 4chan/ED, or if the entire thing was a hoax in order to deflect attention for the fake photos incident. This article is taking a neutral position on the matter.

At the same time, a DA troll began posting accusations that Jessica Elwood is really "Arden the Black" on every deviation and post they could find in relation to her. ([[Arden the Black]] was an artist that used to post images to the former [[Playmouse]] Yahoo group, and whose artwork can still be found on the Playmouse web site via the search feature. He also used to post on the [[VCL]] with the name Arturo Juarez, but has deleted his directory long ago.)

Jessica's [[Fur Affinity]] page is still online and untouched. One theory is that it has a different password and the hackers were not able to break into it. The hoax theory however supposes that since no "apology" for fake photos was posted there, there was no need to "cover up" anything. Again, much of this is speculation at this point

Please try and keep to clean language. For now, it is highly believed that this was a raid, considering that multiple places, including Wikifur, were attacked. It is unlikely that it is something Jessica did herself. It is because we do not know whether it was 4chan or Encyclopedia Dramatica (or perhaps some other group) that were involved that the language in the article is hesitant to say which it was as well. For now, until proof can be found one way or another, the wording in the article will stay as it is. If you wish for it to be changed, please find proof that can be used as a reference. I don't know about the "Arden the Black" situation, and I can't say who really carried out the attack. I don't approve of such measures. However I can speak to one or two things:

1. "Jessica Colaneri" was the name she emailed me under, so that much is accurate.

2. All paypal transactions with her were carried out under the name of Martha Guerrero Martinez, so that much is also accurate.

3. The behavior described at Encyclopedia Dramatica is *exactly* what happened to me. I paid her $65 through paypal, got absolutely nothing, not even a sketch, and only got a refund two years later when I suggested opening a thread about it on livejournal/artits_beware. That was entirely accurate, and I'm not the only person who has been taken.

And for those of you calm, rational, and interested enough to POLITELY ask for it, I can and will provide proof.

Please try and keep to clean language. For now, it is highly believed that this was a raid, considering that multiple places, including Wikifur, were attacked. It is unlikely that it is something Jessica did herself. It is because we do not know whether it was 4chan or Encyclopedia Dramatica (or perhaps some other group) that were involved that the language in the article is hesitant to say which it was as well. For now, until proof can be found one way or another, the wording in the article will stay as it is. If you wish for it to be changed, please find proof that can be used as a reference. I don't know about the "Arden the Black" situation, and I can't say who really carried out the attack. I don't approve of such measures. However I can speak to one or two things:

1. "Jessica Colaneri" was the name she emailed me under, so that much is accurate.

2. All paypal transactions with her were carried out under the name of Martha Guerrero Martinez, so that much is also accurate.

3. The behavior described at Encyclopedia Dramatica is *exactly* what happened to me. I paid her $65 through paypal, got absolutely nothing, not even a sketch, and only got a refund two years later when I suggested opening a thread about it on livejournal/artits_beware. That was entirely accurate, and I'm not the only person who has been taken.

And for those of you calm, rational, and interested enough to POLITELY ask for it, I can and will provide proof.

I don't know about the "Arden the Black" situation, and I can't say who really carried out the attack. I don't approve of such measures. However I can speak to one or two things:

1. "Jessica Colaneri" was the name she emailed me under, so that much is accurate.

2. All paypal transactions with her were carried out under the name of Martha Guerrero Martinez, so that much is also accurate.

3. The behavior described at Encyclopedia Dramatica is *exactly* what happened to me. I paid her $65 through paypal, got absolutely nothing, not even a sketch, and only got a refund two years later when I suggested opening a thread about it on livejournal/artits_beware. That was entirely accurate, and I'm not the only person who has been taken.

And for those of you calm, rational, and interested enough to POLITELY ask for it, I can and will provide proof.

After the similarities between the pictures posted and pictures of another woman, known as "Camerella", Jessica then admitted on her DA account that the images were in fact fake (as shown in the top screenshot). Later, Camerella was notified on Twitter of what had happened, and posted on Facebook (shown in the bottom screenshot) that they did not in fact know Jessica Elwood, casting doubt on Jessica's admission and demonstrating that the photos were probably stolen.

On July 9th, at or around 3 PM EST, Jessica's DA account was hacked. The hackers proceeded to post guro images of self mutilation, "meme" in jokes, then deleted all her uploaded images, changed her DA status to "Dirty Beaner", locked her password and then got her banned from the site. This appeared to be in response for posting pictures claiming them to be of her on her normal deviantart account and picture account, only to later tell people she had been posting pictures that were not of her at all (see above). It is not at this time clear if the hackers were from 4chan/ED, or if the entire thing was a hoax in order to deflect attention for the fake photos incident. This article is taking a neutral position on the matter.

At the same time, a DA troll began posting accusations that Jessica Elwood is really "Arden the Black" on every deviation and post they could find in relation to her. ([[Arden the Black]] was an artist that used to post images to the former [[Playmouse]] Yahoo group, and whose artwork can still be found on the Playmouse web site via the search feature. He also used to post on the [[VCL]] with the name Arturo Juarez, but has deleted his directory long ago.)

Jessica's [[Fur Affinity]] page is still online and untouched. One theory is that it has a different password and the hackers were not able to break into it. The hoax theory however supposes that since no "apology" for fake photos was posted there, there was no need to "cover up" anything. Again, much of this is speculation at this point

Please try and keep to clean language. For now, it is highly believed that this was a raid, considering that multiple places, including Wikifur, were attacked. It is unlikely that it is something Jessica did herself. It is because we do not know whether it was 4chan or Encyclopedia Dramatica (or perhaps some other group) that were involved that the language in the article is hesitant to say which it was as well. For now, until proof can be found one way or another, the wording in the article will stay as it is. If you wish for it to be changed, please find proof that can be used as a reference. I don't know about the "Arden the Black" situation, and I can't say who really carried out the attack. I don't approve of such measures. However I can speak to one or two things:

1. "Jessica Colaneri" was the name she emailed me under, so that much is accurate.

2. All paypal transactions with her were carried out under the name of Martha Guerrero Martinez, so that much is also accurate.

3. The behavior described at Encyclopedia Dramatica is *exactly* what happened to me. I paid her $65 through paypal, got absolutely nothing, not even a sketch, and only got a refund two years later when I suggested opening a thread about it on livejournal/artits_beware. That was entirely accurate, and I'm not the only person who has been taken.

And for those of you calm, rational, and interested enough to POLITELY ask for it, I can and will provide proof.

SPR's main 'city' is themed like a computer, with different areas named after different parts of a computer's hardware or architecture. Much of SPR's central and western landscape, as well as the MUCK's title screen, was designed by [[unci]], a building [[wizard]] of the first years, who left SPR in 1999.

[[SocioSpace]] is a hard sci-fi minigame (similar to a MUD) built into SPR. This system includes combat, healing, and a spaceship system, programmed by the lead wizard for that area, [[Arian]].

==History==

SPR was founded by [[Snout]] and [[DivineVixen]] in 1995, announced via @shout just before one of [[FurryMUCK]]'s infamous six- to eight-hour database saves. On that first day, over thirty players connected, each of whom was given a wizbit to make it easy for them to build and attach things.

[[Murphy]] the MUFMouse was a wizard from opening day in September 1995 to his resignation in October 1996. Murphy built the original space station (then called SPR Station), the first solar system, and coded all the vehicle programs.

In 1997, during a fit of pique, the wizard [[Mystique]] chose to @purge, thus destroying everything that she owned, including the page program and the say program. At this time, [[Winged]] was given a wizbit (along with [[Kathalla]]) to help piece SPR back together from a backup that Snout started running on another port.

Eventually, DivineVixen had to step down as head wizard due to her player's fight with Multiple Sclerosis, leaving Snout in charge. [[Syvel]] chose this time to @purge, thus getting rid of a lot of functionality that the MUCK relied upon.

It was just after Syvel's @purge that [[CATerwaul]] chose to limit the MUCK to wizards-only, for a period of some months. During this time, many inactive wizards were dewizzed, and several new rules and regulations went into effect -- including the requirement that MUCK-essential programs and objects needed to be owned by a new, wizbitted character named SPR, so that no @purge could damage the MUCK again.

Eventually, SPR came back for players to use, though its user base was much diminished (from a high of 191 characters connected, it now averages 60 to 80). Snout didn't want anything to do with the administration of the new MUCK structure, so he appointed three wizards to be "gods" -- wizards with the power to grant or remove wizbits. These were [[Natasha]], Winged, and [[Benjamin]].

Due to internal friction (and a lot of miscommunication), Natasha ended up leaving. It was at this point that Winged became pretty much the main God character. He made several unpopular decisions during this timeframe: Space became Arian's area to allow or banish people as he saw fit. [[Zinn]] was toaded and banished for alleged (i.e. disputed) violation of an order to stay out of Arian's space areas. [[Gud]], DivineVixen's non-wizard character, was given a wizbit, and immediately began to violate SPR's rules of ownership, yanking possession of a BDSM-themed area from its owners. When Winged de-wizzed him, he began to bad-mouth the administration of SPR in the park, and Winged @toaded and banished him from what had been his own MUCK several years before.

Winged resigned as a wizard (much less head wizard) in November of 2001, amidst complaints that he was misusing his power -- among other things, Syvel asked for ownership of her programs back from SPR (Syvel having been removed as a wizard due to her @purging), attempting to revoke the GPL that she had originally licensed them under. Winged refused, citing her prior @purge and her player's legal issues, as well as the GPL which allowed SPR to maintain its own copy of her programs.

FurryMUCK has historically also had a Mayor, typically [http://web.archive.org/web/20010414091601/felis.org/FurryHistory/election.html elected], although the mayoralty has been known to pass hands for as much as $1.37, and little as the wag of a tail. It was an official part of the process that new mayors were selected in a different way each time. The first mayor was selected by a relatively fair election, so all others thereafter were selected by varying other methods, all deliberately corrupt in some way. Bribery, nepotism, theocracy, and vote-buying were all used.

The joke is that despite the good–natured (and otherwise) hullabaloo over the selection process, the post is almost entirely symbolic. The only responsibility of the Mayor being to change the name of the currency. One day you may be strolling through the park and see "You found a reason to taunt a fox!" and the next you might see "You have 234 catnip mice." Her [[fursona]]'s species is quite unique: a [[Mookitty]], a mostly [[bovine]] creature, with a body pattern of leopard spots from her feline DNA. As for her name, '''Sian''' is a [[Wikipedia:Welsh_language|Welsh]] name, and its correct pronounciation is "Shan." However, she prefers the phonetic "Cyan".

Sian is quite aware of furry fandom's quirks, but has decided to try and take an intelligent, humorous outlook towards them.
