Whyrl has a keen interest in birds of prey; his [[fursona]] is a Wedgetailed [[Eagle]]-[[Griffon]] and he is a staff member on the [[avian]]-themed [[FeatherMUCK]]. Whyrl is also a character in the [[web comic]] ''[[Corrugated Sanctuary]]'', on which he was the script writer.
