'''World Gates''' is an online comic created by David Anderson, set in a fantasy world called '''H.E.A.V.E.N. City''' inhabited by both humans and anthropomorphic creatures.

The comic shows a steady balance of action and humor as well as mature visuals. It is shown on [[DeviantArt]] with three different stories thus far. The first story currently has nine episodes as well as five sub-episodes called "Fillers".

The second story has a total of twelve episodes. The third, in progress, currently has one.

== Premise ==

The comic started as a joke comic by David to pass the time in his math class. His friends took a liking to the comic so he decided to continue it. At first the comic was in black and white with about 83 issues. Later, the comic was revised and was given color which had 31 issues.

After that, '''World Gates II: Chaotic Fantasty''' was made and contained 12 issues. Unlike the first, WGII does not use '''Vilitan''' in it, but instead uses a character named '''Sura Strike''' who is a [[werewolf]]. Even though the first two versions of World Gates was never uploaded onto DeviantArt, WGII was given that privilege.

The first WG was revised a second time and was placed onto DeviantArt before being revised for the last time, it had 7 issues. Currently, WG is on number 9 and is given "Filler" episodes as a type of time skip to episode 10. Also, '''World Gates III: Zeta Evolution''', another version with a different story line, was made and has 1 issue so far.

After that, '''World Gates II: Chaotic Fantasty''' was made and contained 12 issues. Currently, WG is on number 9 and is given "Filler" episodes as a type of time skip to episode 10. == Tanabi/Kopa ==
I posted my references (including a book where the first couple of paragraphs blatantly describe Kopa as Simba and Nala's cub) for Kopa being a more canonical version of Tanabi on [[Talk:Tanabi]]. [[User:SpazKitty|Spaz Kitty]] 03:24, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
:Hmmm... I'm still doubtful the most recent changes (both to [[Tanabi]] and [[Kiara]]) are the best or most accurate way to present the material, but I don't want to get into an editing war over it either. The feeling I get from the current version is as if it is trying to describe two separete characters as if they were the same character. Would you be agreeable to creating a separate article for [[Kopa]]? I'm also thinking the "Who was the cub?" section of [[Kiara]] might ought to be broken out into its own article, though we'd have to figure out what to call it and how to categorize it. --[[User:Mwalimu|mwalimu]] 13:12, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
::But in some respects, Tanabi and Kopa are the same character. They're both names for the cub at the end of TLK1, as Tanabi was the fan-name used for him before the book with Kopa in it was released. [[User:SpazKitty|Spaz Kitty]] 02:20, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
:::Most TLK fans I knew when I was involved in the fandom would disagree with that. By that argument, Kiara is also the same character, and she has her own article. --[[User:Mwalimu|mwalimu]] 12:16, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
::::All right, I separated Tanabi and Kopa into two different articles, each with a "See also" link to the other. [[User:SpazKitty|Spaz Kitty]] 12:26, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
:::::Thank you. When I get a little more time today I'll separate out the "Who was the cub?" from Kiara into it's own article. --[[User:Mwalimu|mwalimu]] 12:36, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

== The Lion King cub ==
I've finished an initial attempt at edits to [[The Lion King/Who was the cub?]] and some cleanup to [[Tanabi]], as well as minor edits to [[Kopa]] and [[Kiara]], that I hope covers all the bases. Please take a look and see if you think everything looks okay. I haven't made any changes to [[The Lion King]] or [[Simba's Pride]] (at least not yet) but some may be in order. --[[User:Mwalimu|mwalimu]] 23:41, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
:I trust your opinion. ^^ I've been looking at occasional edits, and it seems fine to me. [[User:SpazKitty|Spaz Kitty]] 23:57, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

:Looks good. Thanks for letting me know. -- [[User:Sine|Sine]] 02:01, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

== Protected articles ==

Regarding the protects I put on four articles a few minutes ago, I only set them to 'registered users only', not to 'sysops only'. I'm not sure how much it will help - some of today's vandalizers were registered, and if people want to vandalize WikiFur they will probably just go after other articles. But maybe it will help a little, and at least keep the front page clean. --[[User:Mwalimu|mwalimu]] 00:15, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

:As yet we don't have a partly protected so those will have to do for now I guess. ^_^;; I didn't place the Fur Affinity one at the top so at least it won't scare people off. I'll pull them off again when the articles get unblocked. --[[User:Nidonocu|Nidonocu]] - [[User talk:Nidonocu|talk]] [[Image:Trans 168.png|16px|Nidonocu]] 00:23, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

Hey Mwalimu, RVDDP2501 here, listen, I just wanted to say thanks for reverting the damaged done to the Xenif page by those vandals, I appreciate your time and effort in fixing pages such as mine, if you would like to talk/discuss on how I can improve my pages, I am open to all ideas and opinions. - [[User:RVDDP2501|RVDDP2501]] 20:30, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

:You're welcome. It's good to hear that our efforts are appreciated. If it makes any difference, the vandals probably weren't targeting your pages specifically but using the [[Special:Random|Random page]] feature and vandalizing whatever came up. --[[User:Mwalimu|mwalimu]] 20:51, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

:oh, I see what you mean about the random page thing, anyways, I try to show respect and thenks to those to aid in helping with other's pages and so on, thanks alot, please let me know if you want to talk about pages and other stuff on Wikifur. Btw, what did you think of the [[Extinctioners]] Pages as well as the one(s) for the [[Andorozon]]? I like to hear reviews. - [[User:RVDDP2501|RVDDP2501]] 21:34, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
== fiction-stub reclassification ==

:''From [[User talk:KDelany]]:''

A couple of suggestions about your recent novel entries. First, you don't need to include the Fiction stubs category explicitly; that's done automatically by the fiction-stub template. Second, the characters categories might be appropriate if you wrote an article about a character from a novel, but not for the novel itself. Other than that, looking pretty good. We appreciate your contributions. --[[User:Mwalimu|mwalimu]] 04:45, 18 September 2006 (UTC)

:She did it because it wasn't in the right ordering for works with "The" at the front. I have solved this by editing [[:Template:fiction-stub]] so that you can add a parameter to specify the category sorting, like this: <nowiki>{{fiction-stub|Magic, The Gathering}}</nowiki> --[[User:GreenReaper|GreenReaper]]([[User talk:GreenReaper|talk]]) 05:49, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
Facts in itself, is neutral. And it is fact that it was Kiara at the end of Lion King. Those who believe it's not is just delusional. Simba's first son dying is a big deal, or Simba having a son at all is a big deal. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN MENTIONED in the second movie. May I nominate [[User_talk:Higgs Raccoon|Higgs Raccoon]] for upgrading to admin? In addition to contributing to numerous articles, he's helped revert vandalism on more than one occasion. --[[User:Mwalimu|mwalimu]] 15:07, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

:Let's try that out, then. [http://furry.wikia.com/index.php?title=Special:Contributions&limit=500&target=Higgs_Raccoon Contributions] are a little low (and lacking discussion edits), but they '''are''' all good, and it's not like there aren't a couple of admins with fewer. :-) --[[User:GreenReaper|GreenReaper]]([[User talk:GreenReaper|talk]]) 15:27, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
::Well, this is quite an honour. Thankyou Mwalimu for the nomination, and GreenReaper for OKing it. Quite unexpected, really - as noted above, I haven't been here very long and haven't contributed a lot as yet. Hopefully the whole Wikifur novelty won't suddenly wear off. Oh well, if that happens I guess what GreenReaper giveth he can also taketh away! ;) --[[User:Higgs Raccoon|Higgs Raccoon]] 10:14, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
== How to do bot vandal rollbacks ==

In cases of mass vandalism (page blanking and the like) it is acceptable to use the "bot" rollback method. To do this, go to the user's contribution page by clicking their name or IP address in the userlist, then add &bot=1 to the URL (or ?bot=1 if there is no ? already in the URL). Press enter to reload that URL, and then just open all the rollback links in new tabs. This will give the initial edit a "bot" flag, so that only your revert will be visible in [[Special:Recentchanges|recent changes]]. --[[User:GreenReaper|GreenReaper]]([[User talk:GreenReaper|talk]]) 19:04, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
:Okay, I'll do it that way next time. By the way, when responding to a user talk comment like this, is there a way to have the thread automatically replicated in the other user's talk page? I've always done it by manually copying the response in both places. --[[User:Mwalimu|mwalimu]] 19:09, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
::Not that I know of. Would be nice! --[[User:GreenReaper|GreenReaper]]([[User talk:GreenReaper|talk]]) 19:11, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
==Hi==
Thanks for the welcome! I did not mean to overwrite anyone else's changes. I'm trying to make some formatting changes ''with'' Halfshell's permission. I'm going to try to add some other changes now because mine just got blocked by others too. --[[User:CocoaZen|CocoaZen]] 03:36, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
:Thanks for doing the merge. By the way, if someone makes changes while you're editing, it warns you, but then if you save, you clobber your own changes, not the other person's. (So, you can copy your changes first before saving, and then do a merge.) I don't think I clobbered your changes, but... sometimes I make mistakes. Thanks for being polite and constructive about it! --[[User:CocoaZen|CocoaZen]] 03:53, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
== Search ==

Just wondering - how do you control the appearance of the links on the left side of the screen, in particular the search box?

I'm asking not on account of anything to do with WikiFur, but because of a different wiki where I've started doing some edits. On that wiki there is only a search button, and below that you can select to search that wiki, or a Google web search. I would like to suggest to the admins of that wiki that they consider changing it to the Go and Search buttons like we have here on WikiFur. --[[User:Mwalimu|mwalimu]] 22:30, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

:I'm afraid the answer here is "I don't know". The search box was, I think, tweaked somewhat by [[wikia:Wikia, Inc.|Wikia]]. I would suggest asking some of their techs would be a reasonable next step. --[[User:GreenReaper|GreenReaper]]([[User talk:GreenReaper|talk]]) 07:31, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
'''World Gates''' is an online comic made by David Anderson. The comic started in 2003 as a minor joke comic, but was then revised to be more serious using a [[manga]]-like style along with using [[furries]] as a majority of the character designs. It's rating as whether it's a Mature comic or a Older Teen comic is questionable since some scenes show humor while others show nudity or sexual themes. It is shown on [[DeviantArt]] with three different stories thus far. The first story currently has nine episodes as well as four sub-episodes called "Fillers". The second story has a total of twelve episodes. The third, in progress, currently has one.

==History==
Even though the first two versions of World Gates was never uploaded onto DeviantArt, WGII was given that privilage. The first WG was revised a second time and was placed onto DeviantArt before being revised for the last time, it had 7 issues. Currently, WG is on number 9 and is given "Filler" episodes as a type of time skip to episode 10. Also, '''World Gates III: Zeta Evolution''', another version with a different story line was made and has 1 issue so far.
*'''Kitsune''' - Appeared in another comic made by David called '''Chatalist''', but was discontiued. A sexual themed character who normally puts sex as a issue in a conversation. [[Image:Kitsune.jpg|130px]]

==History==
