== Second Life ==
Victoria has been a long term resident of Second Life since late 2004, however not always active in the furry community there. In 2011, after being out of the furry art and games communities, she started getting involved again and identifying herself a furry in Second Life as well.

Since her first days of Second Life, she has found it to be an outlet for creative energy and expression and originally sought out to be a clothing designer, but shifted her attention on freelancing as a builder and photographer. While always giving thought to the idea of opening her own club, the idea came to fruition in March of 2012 with the public opening of Yiff Alley Lounge.

[[File:YAL New.jpg|right|225px]]
'''Yiff Alley Lounge''' is a non profit adult social hangout established in the virtual world of [[W:Linden Labs|Linden Lab]]'s [[Second Life]].

Founded in March 2012 Yiff Alley Lounge has been on the mission to bring the [[furry community]] of Second Life a high level of quality and standards found no where else on the grid. Owners [[Victoria Loveless]] and [[Lina Pussycat]] are committed to bring only the best and current items available as well as promoting an openly friendly non biased place to meet and mingle with fellow furs and fur lovers.

While the lounge is an adult oriented establishment, it is more than just another yiffing spot. We focus on being a community and social hangout with a fun light hearted bond that makes the lounge feel like home, thus our motto: “Home of the Misfits.”

==History==
The concept of Yiff Alley Lounge came together in early 2012 when both long term SL residents and partners Victoria Loveless and Lina Pussycat began contemplating starting a small self sufficient furry hangout together. The vision was to create an urban stylized lounge and yiff area focused on providing a better quality environment without pestering patrons with a commercial presence via malls and ad boards.

Since it's opening Yiff Alley Lounge has gone through four major builds.

*'''The Original Version ''(March 2012 to June 2012)'''''- Opened up in the Helgrind sim. The lounge consisted of a very simple layout of the lounge being on the ground level with a yiff room on the second floor. The lounge hosted live DJs and events as well as offering private rooms as it continued to grow. However; after a lovers' quarrel which brought a hasty decision this build was removed.

*'''The Subway Version ''(June 2012 to October 2012)''''' - After overwhelming support the lounge was opened back days after closing with this subway theme.<ref>[http://yiffalleylounge.blogspot.com/2012/06/yiff-alley-back-with-vengeance.html ''Yiff Alley Back With A Vengeance!''] post on the Yiff Alley Lounge blog's News section. Retrieved February 28, 2013.</ref> During this period the lounge was downgraded to a degree and constantly changing while trying to find its place and mend emotions between the owners and fans.

*'''The Theater Version ''(October 2012 to February 2012)''''' - Lounge was relocated from the Helgrind sim and moved to the Naughty by Nature sim.<ref>[http://yiffalleylounge.blogspot.com/2012/11/move-is-complete.html ''Move is Complete''] post on the Yiff Alley Lounge blog's News section. VictoriaLoveless:

Hi there. I'm a furry now mostly connected with virtual world of Second Life than anything else these days but got my start back in the days of online chats and Furcadia under the fursona of Sithra. As an artist I love to build and create things for others to enjoy, from my dream back in Furcadia to my SL lounge [http://en.wikifur.com/wiki/Talk:Yiff_Alley_Lounge Yiff Alley Lounge].

VictoriaLoveless:

[[File:YAL New.jpg|right|225px]]
'''Yiff Alley Lounge''' is a non profit adult social hangout established in the virtual world of [[W:Linden Labs|Linden Lab]]'s [[Second Life]].

Founded in March 2012 Yiff Alley Lounge has been on the mission to bring the [[furry community]] of Second Life a high level of quality and standards found no where else on the grid. Owners [[Victoria Loveless]] and [[Lina Pussycat]] are committed to bring only the best and current items available as well as promoting an openly friendly non biased place to meet and mingle with fellow furs and fur lovers, all commercially free.

While the lounge is an adult oriented establishment, it is more than just another yiffing spot. We focus on being a community and social hangout with a fun light hearted bond that makes the lounge feel like home, thus our motto: “Home of the Misfits.”

==History==
The concept of Yiff Alley Lounge came together in early 2012 when both long term SL residents and partners Victoria Loveless and Lina Pussycat began contemplating starting a small self sufficient hangout together. The vision was to create an urban stylized lounge and yiff area offering free use of better quality equipment than the standard areas and not pester patrons with a commercial presence via malls and ad boards.

Since it's opening Yiff Alley Lounge has gone through four major builds.

*'''The Original Version ''(March 2012 to June 2012)'''''
**Opened up in the Helgrind sim. The lounge consisted of a very simple layout of the lounge being on the ground level with a yiff room on the second floor. The lounge hosted live DJs and events as well as offering private rooms as it continued to grow. However; after a lovers' quarrel which brought a hasty decision this build was removed.

*'''The Subway Version ''(June 2012 to October 2012)'''''
**After overwhelming support the lounge was opened back days after closing with this subway theme.<ref>[http://yiffalleylounge.blogspot.com/2012/06/yiff-alley-back-with-vengeance.html ''Yiff Alley Back With A Vengeance!''] post on the Yiff Alley Lounge blog's News section. Retrieved February 28, 2013.</ref> During this period the lounge was downgraded to a degree and constantly changing while trying to find its place and mend emotions between the owners and fans.

*'''The Theater Version ''(October 2012 to February 2012)'''''
**Lounge was relocated from the Helgrind sim and moved to the Naughty by Nature sim.<ref>[http://yiffalleylounge.blogspot.com/2012/11/move-is-complete.html ''Move is Complete''] post on the Yiff Alley Lounge blog's News section. However, the theme might have been too dark for most people.

*'''Revamped Original Version ''(February 2012 to Present)'''''
**Build was redesigned, returning to the original roots following a similar layout but offering much more.<ref>[http://yiffalleylounge.blogspot.com/2013/02/new-design.html "New Design"] post on the Yiff Alley Lounge blog's News section. why don't you site IYC or any others set up the same way. I met the qualifications you change it up then site it for clean up. Just delete the page now really this is stupid. {{unsigned|VictoriaLoveless}}

:The article was not formatted as per the [[Help:Furry Book of Style|Furry Book of Style]] (and it's still not even finished yet, hence why the <nowiki>{{Wikify}}</nowiki> tag has not been taken down yet) - [[User:Spirou|Spirou]] 21:45, 27 February 2013 (EST)

:lol
:I guess you just love to edit stuff up to bring this back too. I do owe you an apology though for the constant reverting, but I am admittedly a control freak and when you've completely reformatted the page I flipped my wig. I do still have issues with how picky things needs to be and I basically had cloned how other SL clubs pages are set up, but yet they're ok? This is just an info site to reach other people, not something to be published in a peer review scientific journal. However, I can see the benefits of presenting my information well and professionally. So when the protection is lifted I'll do my best to comply with the prestigious standards of a wiki page.

:I do just have one question that has bugged me though. This information is coming from me, the owner of the lounge, the blog, ect ... I've created it, I've been there through it all and it's just a little club in a game, not a big event like the Exon Valdez which has citable news articles from all over the world. Where am I going to get references from other than me, my blog, and the Second Life TOS? Which is what I did have listed as them before your edit removing them. {{unsigned|VictoriaLoveless}}

Yeah I'm still really learning this but spent the day browsing to get a better understanding. And you where trying to help, it will look better for me and the lounge to have a well presented page, stupid ego got in the way. No hard feelings.

==Rules==
# No intolerance : While we are a furry hangout and club we do welcome everyone here. We will not take intolerance toward furries nor toward humans. We want everyone here to be comfortable without any fear of being discriminated against.
# No Harassment : We will not tolerate harassment, if someone is harassing you please inform either an Officer, Lina Pussycat, or Victoria Loveless immediately and they will get things handled.
# No Drawn Weapons : While we appreciate that weapons can help pull together an awesome look we do not want weapons drawn and usable. If you see someone with one out please either im them and refer them to the rules or message an Officer, Lina Pussycat, or Victoria Loveless.
# No Underage Patrons : Being that this is a virtual world, this is a hard one to enforce but as an Adult establishment we have done everything within Secondlife to keep children from our content. If anyone is found out to be underage we will remove them for the safety of our patrons and integrity of the lounge.
# Keep It Consensual : We are open to all makes and lifestyles but please respect others own limits to play and safewords. Be respectful of others already engaging in play, do not assume you can join in without consent, don't change others poses, etc ...

Since the beginning Yiff Alley Lounge has striven to bring the best quality urban, dirty, grungy, themed hangout as possible with some fun quirky humor thrown in.

==Rules==
