Twll: Updating the timeline!

Footwell is a collective term for the collaborative works of Frost T. Wolf & Twll. Footwell is distributed across two points along the northern section of the M6 corridor in the United Kingdom.

Origin
Spawning as the result of an accidental collaboration, Footwell is the merged consciousness of two of the UK's foremost uninteresting artists. After discussing the possibilities of collaborating, Footwell stepped up to work on the UK PawPet Show poster at 2009. At the time it was considered A Good Thing and as a result, Frost T. Wolf & Twll have infrequently been working together at least once a year since 2008.

Method
Generally, Twll is responsible for planning the artwork (although this varies from piece to piece), Frost T. Wolf then sketches and inks the work. At this point changes are discussed before Twll takes over to do the colouring and the shading, final dress and typography. Twll usually handles printing and uploading of the finished pieces.

As a toony artist, Frost T. Wolf's lines are generally bold and his proportions are exaggerated somewhat, a style that Twll professes to be unable to do and begrudgingly operates "just the crayons". However, as a more realistic artist (and with a history of technical and architectural drawing), Twll has a better grasp on perspective, colour, light and shading than Frost T. Wolf and adds a certain depth to the toony lines that would otherwise be flat on the page. The two artists often complain that they're riding on the coat-tails of each other and vehemently hate one another over a disagreement about the rules of a child's card game.

Timeline
* May 2008: Frost T. Wolf and Twll talk briefly at a Londonfurs meet where two lines of conversation are exchanged.
* June 2008: Twll attends the first ConFuzzled event in Manchester as staff. Frost T. Wolf attends as a sponsor. They are introduced properly and become rather good friends.
* September 2008: Initial collaboration: This involved Twll showing off his then new Wacom Cintiq to Frost T. Wolf, who then drew some line art. Twll took it upon himself to colour it. This was to set the template for all future works. A Halloween-based piece is created and released on to their separate Fur Affinity accounts during a stay at Timduru's house.
* November 2008: The name Footwell is born. It is a contraction of FTW & Twll with a few vowels added for extra goodness: 'FTWLL' to 'Footwell'.
* March 2009: An artist was required to create the poster artwork for the ConFuzzled 2009 PawPet Show and Footwell were automatically selected (as the selection was determined by Twll). The first of a series of collaborations for the PawPets UK show was born. These posters are almost subversive their nature, as they ape a classic or notable movie poster in an entirely opposed genre to the theme of the convention or show. The theme of the 2009 convention was Victorian England and the PawPets artwork was a pastiche of the original Star Wars poster.
* March 2010: The follow up to highly regarded 2009 show saw Footwell's style refine further, with the first use of Adobe Flash for line art (to allow for easier scaling up to the required A1 size). The theme of the show was based around 'Science!', which was completely undermined by a poster based upon the one for Raiders of the Lost Ark.
* September 2010: During a game of Farmyard Vehicle Top Trumps on a Stena Line ferry on the way back from Eurofurence 16, the two fall out over an argument over the horsepower of a tractor and a combine harvester. Much shouting and name-calling ensues and the two retreat to opposite ends of the vessel and contrive new ways of swearing at one another.
* April 2011: Running a little later than previous years due to their spat, Footwell unveiled the poster for the 2011 PawPet Show. With a poster based upon one of the variations of the Inception poster, it was nearly, but not quite, complementary to the theme of 'The Roaring Twenties'.
* April 2011: Footwell unveiled the first page of its first comic collaboration: an exclusive eight page full-colour comic produced for sponsors and residential+ attendees of 2011. This comic revolves around a childhood friend of Brok The Badger having her father abducted. Brok, for the purposes of the comic, is working as a 1920s private investigator. The story of the comic was written by Shay.
* May 2011: The pair were working together well at the convention, unfortunately on the late departure day they broke into another fight in front of the Guest of Honour, The Gneech, and his wife. After being separated, the two left the venue and have barely spoken since.

Future Projects
Footwell is determined to become more productive outside of ConFuzzled, taking on limited commissions and personal work. At this time, Footwell is uncertain exactly what the future holds, as they are still not talking to each other properly yet. They have confirmed to a few people that they will be working together, and that they have at least talked about their involvement on a comic for 2012.

Pumathing

2011-04-19T15:02:26Z

Twll: Added reference to Footwell

Pumathing, aka Jinxx or Twll, (born 30th March 1982 in Greenwich, London) is a fur who lives in the West Midlands of England, but grew up in North Wales. He is one half of the collaborative duo known as Footwell.

Several names
When attending Anthrocon 2006 as a volunteer, Pumathing had opted to have a blank name badge.

Jinxx has traditionally been the name used by Pumathing since he was first online. It is a variation of a contraction of his surname first given to him during primary school. This name is often used by him for gaming and as a trading name under which he provides design and photography services. Twll is a name given to him by a Welsh teacher from the age of 11 or so. The name was used affectionately as a retort to the Puma's cheekiness. Twll means 'hole', but more colloquially means 'arse-hole'.

The name Pumathing stuck and is used by preference, due to the difficulty that many non-Welsh speakers have pronouncing the double-L character in Welsh.

Real life
In his real life, Pumathing lives independently and works for a telecommunications company in his town. He is primarily employed as a graphic designer, but also chips in with unhelpful advice and makes the tea.

Since primary school, he has intermittently drawn and taken photographs. He acted on stage and for radio commercials until his mid-teens, and has involved himself in a few video projects since leaving high school. After completing a media production diploma in 2000, he briefly considered graphic design for his choice of degree, but quicky fell out with the course structure and settled into architectural technology for the 2001 academic year. He finally graduated in 2005 and worked in the field until August 2007 until being offered a position doing something more enjoyable.

Fandom life
Pumathing has been aware of the furry fandom since he was in high school, but has had an affinity towards cats and certainly a fascination towards Pumas since his earliest memories.

His first contact with the fandom was with Furcadia, where he met a few people whom he remains good friends with to this day. Since attending university, he fell at odds with Furcadia and became somewhat estranged from the furry community for a while. In late 2004 he started to edge back into furry life with an intermittent presence on Anthrochat's IRC network.

Although he had been away from the fandom for several years, he remained quite distinctly a fur, and in returning to it in earnest during the second half of 2005, he found himself comfortably settling back in. It was at this time, after a conversation with Lyctiger, that he was branded with the pseudonym of Pumathing.

After a short trip to Canada in September of 2005, where he met up with his long-time friend Kittrel and her then fiancée, he vowed that he would attend Anthrocon "come hell or high water" the following year.

Anthrocon proved to be an important step for Pumathing, giving him more confidence in his furriness and a greater sense of belonging to the community. He had a "meagre role" with Neofelis Communications on the filming of events at the convention.

Since Anthrocon 2006, Pumathing has had a slightly more visible presence online, taking up residence on The Cheetah Lawn on FurryMUCK, adding his artwork to Fur Affinity, writing a small biography of himself on WikiFur, and trying to gather other furry Xbox Live users' gamertags.

For Anthrocon 2007, Pumathing was officially on the con staff and worked as Stage Manager for Neofelis. Unfortunately, convention rules prevented him from having a blank badge as a staff member and spent much of his time coaching people to pronounce 'Twll' without spitting everywhere.

Twll is a staff member for ConFuzzled and is the Conbook editor. He is be producing the convention book again for 2011.

Future projects
Footwell is determined to become more productive outside of ConFuzzled, taking on limited commissions and personal work. At this time, Footwell is uncertain exactly what the future holds, as they are still not talking to each other yet. At the very least, expect to see them pretend to be friendly with one another at 2011.

Pumathing

2010-01-21T16:52:19Z

Twll: /* Fandom life */ Edits to CF details

Pumathing, aka Jinxx or Twll, (born 30th March 1982 in Greenwich, London) is a fur who lives in the West Midlands of England, but grew up in North Wales.

He is be producing the convention book again for 2010.

Twll is a staff member for ConFuzzled and was the Conbook editor. He will be producing the convention book again for 2009 and has already begun work on it.

Pumathing, aka Jinxx or Twll, (born 30th March 1982 in Greenwich, London) is a fur who lives in the West Midlands of England, but grew up in North Wales.

Cosmo

Cosmo (born October 27, 1983) is a British fursuiter who lives in Stafford in the West Midlands region of England.

Fursona
Cosmo's fursona is a wolf. Cosmo very nearly ended up with "Cosmo" as his real life name, as his uncle was nagging his mother to call him that. His mother picked a much more sensible name for the 1980's, but Cosmo adopted the name as his online handle.

Cosmo has since found out that he is not the only Cosmo in the fandom, and there is another in the United States (with a different species). For this reason, Cosmo sometimes lengthens his name to Cosmo Wolf.

History
Cosmo first became aware of the fandom in late 2005, before joining it properly in early 2006. His first meet was in Bristol in January, 2006, where he met a few new friends. In January, 2007, he went to his first NorthernFurs meet in Chester and has tried to regularly attend the northern meets ever since.

In November, 2007, he finally got his first (and only, as of June 2008) fursuit. Also called Cosmo, the fursuit was constructed by P Pardus. The costume had actually been in the country since October but got held up in Customs. He remains bitter towards Customs to this day. The following day, Cosmo took his fursuit to Manchester and promptly lost one of the claws on his footpaws.

In 2008, Cosmo became a member of staff at the UK's (and his) first furcon, ConFuzzled, which was held at Manchester International Youth Hostel between 20th and 23th June.

Real life
In real life, Cosmo is a checkout operator at a Tesco Extra store in the West Midlands. He lives happily with his partner, Twll.

He is looking to leave the giant supermarket firm, and continues to look for more gainful employment elsewhere.

Well, how DO you pronounce "the double-L character in Welsh"? --217.209.101.197 17:29, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

Pumathing

2006-09-10T16:31:01Z

Twll: Total rewrite.

Pumathing (born 30th March 1982 in Greenwich, London) is the more frequent name of a fur that currently lives in North Wales.

Several names?
While more commonly seen as Twll or Jinxx online, the name Pumathing tends to be used conversationally, especially since attending Anthrocon 2006 as a volunteer, where the name would often be heard in the sentence "Oh, so that's Pumathing?" (Pumathing had opted to have a blank name badge because apparently the question "confused" him when filling in that section of the pre-registration form).

Twll means 'hole', but more colloquially means 'arsehole'.

The name Pumathing stuck and is used preferentially due to the difficulty that many non-Welsh speakers have prouncing the double-L character in Welsh.

Real life
In his real life, Pumathing still lives at home, but isn't unhappy there, and works for a small architectural practice in a nearby town. He's primarily employed as an architectural technician, but will also often be witnessed performing various acts of percussive maintenence on the computer systems, making the tea, and hacking local authority web sites apart to find information that isn't easily available (but should be).

From when he was in primary school, he has been drawing intermittently, taking photos in fits and starts, acted on stage and for radio commercials until his mid-teens, and involved himself in a few video projects since leaving high school. After completing a media production diploma in 2000, he briefly flirted with graphic design for his choice of degree, but quicky fell out with the course structure and settled into architectural technology for the 2001 academic year. He finally graduated from a mediocre university with a mediocre degree in 2005 and has been working in the field since March 2006.

Fandom life
Pumathing has been aware of the furry fandom since he was in high school, but has had an affinity towards cats and certainly a fascination towards Pumas since his earliest memories.

After a short trip to Canada in September of 2005, where he met up with his longtime friend Kittrel and her fiancée, he vowed that he would attend Anthrocon "come hell or high water" the following year.

Anthrocon proved to be an important step for Pumathing, giving him more confidence in his furriness and a greater sense of belonging to the community. His meagre role with Neofelis Communications on the filming of events at the convention gave him a taste for more as well as the high probability of being press-ganged into the staff roster.

Since Anthrocon 2006, Pumathing has had a slightly more visible presence online, taking up residence on The Cheetah Lawn on FurryMUCK, adding his artwork to FurAffinity, writing a small biography of himself on WikiFur, and trying to gather other furry Xbox Live users' gamertags.

Twll:

Pumathings can often be found lurking in the hill-top ferns of North Wales. They are unremarkable creatures on the whole, but are often slinky.

The most notable example of the Pumathing is one often found in a 3200x3400mm room on the top floor of a house near a golf course. His names are many.

On IRC or FurryMUCK, he is called Twll.
When gaming, he is called Jinxx.

Find him on xfire or xbox live as Jinxxy.
