Thesium: /* Queries */ Unlikely to have a guest of honor at Anthrocon.

Welcome
Welcome

Queries
Hallo, may I ask a few questions?: Is this "no GoH" ( ha ) a permanent thing?. We also cannot find the GoH for 2024. Is that the year this was implemented, officially let in The City of Pittsburgh be the final official GoH for AC?.

Danke sehr in advance. - Spirou (talk) 17:06, 10 July 2025 (EDT)

-I'll never say never, but as far as I'm aware, Anthrocon has no plans to have a specific guest of honor again in the future. If I were to speculate, part of the reason for a guest of honor is to drum up more people to go to the convention, and Anthrocon is at a point where even without a guest of honor, growth has been explosive, and where convention attendance is trying to be limited. Anthrocon 2025

Thesium: No guest of honor, not sure why people just put question mark there. Precisely $87,267 was raised for the charity.

Anthrocon 2025 was the 19th annual furry convention. It was held July 4–6, 2025, at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA.

The convention's theme was Deep Sea Adventures, with the no guests of honor.

Anthrocon 2025 saw an attendance of 18.353, reclaiming once again its status as the world's largest (worldwide) furcon; that is, if there is no larger Midwest FurFest's tally in December 2025. The charity partner was "Nose 2 Tail Cat Rescue, for whom they raised $87,267.

Crusader Cat, a fursuiter, writer, musician, actor, political extremist altfurry, and a brief a member of the social-political group the Furry Raiders, was spotted participating in AC's 2025 fursuit parade, causing consternation for most (congoers or not), A subsequent journal entry garnered a similar level of commentary.

Fur Affinity ban
Within hours the journal entries disappeared, and Chew Fox's Fur Affinity account was banned, her user profile replaced with the message: "This account has been closed due to the following reason: User has brought shame to the entire fandom for their own personal self gain."fact After many mocking user page shouts were left by irate users, this was replaced with "Trolling shouts or otherwise harassing comments against this user will result in action being taken against your account. What happened has happened, but further trolling and attacks against the user will not be accepted. Please refrain from shouting on her shoutbox at this time. She is not able to defend at this time and it's considered spam."

Fur Affinity ban removal
Dragoneer apologized for his actions and that he regretted saying some things, saying that Chew Fox's FA account had been temporarily blocked to "prevent drama against her and for site stability." By September 19, her account had been reinstated. Several members were banned after leaving offensive shouts on her user page.

After having her page reinstated and a brief period of inactivity, Chew Fox posted a new journal in an attempt to clarify a few things; notably that others had also expressed interest in the show, and that she and Tom Cat were not paid to appear on the show. These remarks, however, are unverified. Throughout the journal, Chew Fox makes it abundantly clear that she feels she has done nothing wrong and is, in fact, proud of her appearance. She upholds this demeanor despite other peoplewho claiming loss of volunteer jobs and other inconveniences due directly to the Tyra episode.fact

Second Fur Affinity ban
Sometime in March or April, her Fur Affinity user profile was replaced with the message:

This was caused when she walked by Dragoneer at FWA 2010 wearing a t-shirt that read "I crashed F.A. twice and all I got was this stupid shirt :3", and she was been subsequently banned with little chance of repeal.

Fursonas documentary
In 2016, an award-winning furry documentary directed by Dominic Rodriguez named Fursonas came out, featuring furries including Diezel, Styx, Freya, and various others, including Chewfox, who is interviewed about their daily lives, convention experiences, etc. Chewfox was seen in the documentary with her son and her husband, Tom Cat, giving their ideas about an archive named "neerrage.jpeg" on WikiFur, the archive is displayed below.

I really don't know what to say about chewfox that hasn't been said already. Suffice to say, she sold out the fandom for her personal gain. She got her 15 minutes on national TV by showing herself to be the very kind of person we all like to pretend doesn't exist, and she did it by taking a collective shit on the rest of us for a few dollars, and her moment in the limelight. I was less embarassed over the Allan Panda pedophile issue than I am this shit.

I hope it was worth it.

I thought about posting my thoughts about this to FA, but the grim reality is anything I'd have to say regarding Chewfox as "Dragoneer" would be laden with four letter words accompanied by my screaming. "GET THE FUCK OUT OF THIS FANDOM YOU RAGING !%#!%$!%$!%$!%$#!!" But there are reasons I do not resort to such things. There are only two people who could ever enrage me to even saying such things in public, and Chewfox doesn't (and won't) get the credit of being one of them.

There are many things I'd like to say to her, but none that I really could say without an overwhelming feeling of disgust.

Chewfox fucked over the entire fandom, and the sad part? She's proud to have done so.

There's nothing sadder than that, at all.

Crusader Cat was introduced to the furry fandom when he was seventeen, after discovering furry pornography. As a result, he became fiercely anti-furry, believing it was some sort of bestiality cult.cn At the age of twenty, after discovering and contacting other Christian furries, he learned of the diversity of the fandom and later concluded that being a furry didn't contradict his Christian beliefs.

On March 20, 2008, he decided that becoming a furry could help him deal with some of his issues regarding sexuality, while at the same time providing an opportunity to promote his beliefs. At Anthrocon 2008 he experimented with this by creating anthropomorphic Jack Chick style tracts, which he distributed at the convention. He has since renounced his religious affiliation.clarify

Sparkledog

copyedit

A sparkledog, also known as a Sparkle, is a term for a sentient character, with unusual hairstyles and fur colors or patterns, including rainbows. The term "Sparkledog" may also be applied to other non-canine species. Non-canine Sparkles are often referred to as Sparkleanimals.cn Furries with sparkledog fursonas are sometimes labeled wolfaboos.

"Sparkledog" originated as a derogatory term. However, the usage of the word has grown to be more neutral, with some furries using it in a proud or affectionate context.

Appearance
Sparkleanimals are any animal with bright, "unrealistically" colored fur. Some furries have described this fur as having "clashing colors". They are often depicted with accessories or decoration including piercings, tattoos, and jewelry. Finally, they MUST have sparkles

Variants
* Scenedogs - Fursonas similar in color and accessories to sparkledogs, but more reminiscent of the "scene" style and trend popularized in the 2000s
* Gloomdogs - Fursonas with more toned and often gray colors of fur

Anthrocon
Anthrocon, or just AC, is a furry convention held yearly during the summer in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. Formerly the world's largest furry convention, with an attendance of 7,544 in AC 2017. Later during that same year, it was surpassed by MFF.

History
The convention was founded in 1997 as Albany AnthroCon, which itself an offshoot of the Furry Halloween parties held by Aloyen Youngblood; when attendance pushed triple digits, he decided to book a hotel, and organized it as a convention in 1997 with the aid of local friends, Points, Rigel, and others. In its first year, it had approximately 500 attendees.

In late 1998-1999, the chairmanship of the convention was transferred to Dr. Samuel Conway by Points, and they formally organized the group as Anthrocon Inc., and later renamed the convention to "Anthrocon", and relocated it to Pennsylvania. Its first venue was the Hilton Hotel of Valley Forge, Pennsylvania in 1999 and 2000. Due to a rapid increase in attendees, it was forced to relocate to the larger Adams Mark Hotel of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 2001, where it became the largest furry convention ever held, with 1,457 attendees.

Attendance continued to grow, and by 2004 it was 2,406. Attendance in 2005 dropped slightly to 2,373, due in part to higher parking fees, and a different and unfamiliar hotel, which was the Wyndham Franklin Plaza in downtown Philadelphia, and possibly due to Hurricane Dennis's effect on the southern United States which closed many airports and prevented people from traveling.

Attendance increased again in 2006 with the move to the David Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, reaching 2,489. In 2008, total attendance reached 3,390. In 2010, it increased with 4,238 attendees and four official convention hotels. Growth for the convention has historically averaged 14% yearly.

Since 1997, the Anthrocon Charity Auction has donated a total of $240K+ to local charities.

Security for the convention has been provided by the Dorsai Irregulars from 2002 until 2019.

Current location and timeslot
Due to the unforeseen sale and closure of the Adam's Mark Hotel in November 2004, AC chose the Wyndham Franklin Plaza in Philadelphia as the site for 2005 and announced that they would be moving there for the next year. In 2006, Due to scheduling conflicts, the convention had to temporarily leave its normal July timeslot and was held on June 15-18. In 2007, it was held July 5-8 at the same location.

The 2006 move to Pittsburgh was envisioned by AC's Board of Directors before the sale of the Adam's Mark Hotel took place, due to AC's increasing attendance. AC began soliciting people's opinions about moving to Pittsburgh in October 2004. At the time, the convention was already too big for any affordable hotel in Philadelphia, and the Adam's Mark had the most convention space of any hotel of its size in the city before its demolition. The closing of the Adam's Mark simply moved those plans up a year.

While some were opposed to the move, most were supportive of it. Many attendees who supported the move lived out of Pennsylvania and the move made little difference to the trip there.

Leadership
The chairman of the convention is Dr. Samuel Conway (also known as Kagemushi or Uncle Kage by attendees), who oversees AC's operations with the help of staff and volunteers who donate their time and energy throughout the weekend to assist the multitude of small tasks that arise.

Incorporation and Trademarks
Anthrocon, Inc. was incorporated as a non-profit organization on June 25, 1998, and registered as a 501(c)(7) social and recreation club in the state of Pennsylvania (entity 2823650). This classification differs from the 501(c)(3) status of Midwest Furry Fandom and Anthropomorphic Arts and Education, most notably, donations are not tax-deductible to their donors, but in return, the company has more flexibility about its operations, and more leeway to restrict access to non-members, since it's not a club.

Applications to register the word "Anthrocon" and the 'Anthrocon paw' as US trademarks were filed on September 18 and November 12, 2006. According to these filings, the word "Anthrocon" was first used on February 1, 1997, while the paw logo was used from June 30, 1998, onwards.

Trivia
* The choice of Toonseum was made with consultation of the furry community via a LiveJournal post by Rigel. It has so far been the only (fandom-approved) exception to the "animal-related" charity rule.

Citra

2022-05-26T11:45:48Z

Thesium: /* External links */ Citra Love is also gone

Citras are fictional, fox-like animals whose creation is credited to artist Adam Wan.

Backstory
According to Wan, citras were created by bioengineers to discover genetic traits linked to homosexuality. To that end, 90% of them are homosexual males; the rest, both male and female, were used to propagate the species and were known as "citruses." There are no hermaphrodite citras. Their genetic purity prevents such mutations. When the project lost funding, the entire population was ordered to be destroyed. Threatened with extermination, the citras successfully escaped the facility and now live in the wild. Hunting them has since been outlawed.

A citra colony is generally a very primitive and sylvan affair. They live in citrus groves, tending and surviving off of the fruit they raise. A citra's metabolism is incredibly efficient, utilizing very nearly all of the fruit they consume. The drawback is that the citra's body adapts to that fruit only, even changing color, and it must remain with the colony to survive. A citra that consumes anything else or even another citrus fruit can become extremely ill.

Citra colonies sometimes trade their fruit or other services (dancing and adult entertainment being the most popular) for other items they may need or want. From a description of one of the works by Wan: "The citras are useful in providing entertainment to nearby civilized units, and are paid in physical resources."

Physical characteristics
Citras and citruses are, overall, similar in appearance to the fennec fox, with long, pointed ears and a bushy tail. They vary in size, but are typically smaller than the standard-sized anthro character. As they grow up, they turn the color of the type of citrus fruit they eat. While a large variety of citras have been portrayed in art, there are five common subspecies, corresponding to the citrus fruit each eats: lime (green), lemon (yellow), grapefruit (light tan), pink grapefruit (pink), and orange (orange). Citras usually range in height from 2' to 3'6" tall. Due to their genetic purity & having been created in a laboratory environment there are few mutations and variant species known to date. Distinctive markings of all citras and citruses include a light patch around their right eye, darker fur on the lower arms, feet, and forepaws, lighter underparts, and two dark rings around the tail.

Citruses retain the tan color of their birth and can usually reach a much greater height than citras.

COVID-19

2020-06-27T13:20:04Z

Thesium: /* Prevention and management */ Out of date on face coverings. I'm in New York State, and by law businesses can refuse to serve me if I enter without a face covering.

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2).

First discovered in the Hubei province in China, the disease has spread globally since 2019, resulting in the COVID-19 pandemic, declared by the World Health Organization in March 2020. Common symptoms include fever, cough and shortness of breath. Muscle pain, sputum production and sore throat are less common symptoms. While the majority of cases result in mild symptoms, some progress to pneumonia and multi-organ failure. The deaths per the number of diagnosed cases is estimated at between 1% and 5% but varies by age and other health conditions.

Cause and diagnosis
The infection is spread from one person to others via respiratory droplets, often produced during coughing and sneezing. Time from exposure to onset of symptoms is generally between two and fourteen days, with an average of five days. The standard method of diagnosis is by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (rRT-PCR) from a nasopharyngeal swab or throat swab. The infection can also be diagnosed from a combination of symptoms, risk factors, and a chest CT scan showing features of pneumonia.

Prevention and management
Recommended measures to prevent the disease include frequent hand washing, maintaining distance from other people and not touching one's face. The use of masks was initially recommended for those who suspect they have the virus and their caregivers but not the general public, but as evidence mounted that people can become infectious prior to displaying symptoms, universal face coverings is now mandatory in several states. As of early 2020, there is no vaccine or specific antiviral treatment for COVID-19; management involves treatment of symptoms, supportive care and experimental measures.

Anthrocon is a furry convention held each summer in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. Formerly the world's largest furry convention, with an attendance of 7,544 in 2017, it was surpassed by Midwest FurFest later the same year.

History
The convention was founded in 1997 as Albany AnthroCon, itself an offshoot of the Furry Halloween parties held by Aloyen Youngblood; when attendance pushed triple digits, he decided to book a hotel, and organized it as a convention in 1997 with the aid of local friends Points, Rigel and others. In its first year, it had approximately 500 attendees.

In late 1998-9 the chairmanship of the convention was transferred to Dr. Samuel Conway by Points, and they formally organized the group as Anthrocon Inc., renamed the convention to simply "Anthrocon", and relocated it to Pennsylvania. Its first venue was the Hilton Hotel of Valley Forge, Pennsylvania (1999 and 2000).

Attendance in 2005 dropped slightly to 2,373, due in part to higher parking fees, a different and unfamiliar hotel (the Wyndham Franklin Plaza in downtown Philadelphia), and possibly due to Hurricane Dennis's effect on the southern United States which closed many airports and prevented people from traveling.

Attendance increased again in 2006 with the move to the David Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, reaching 2,489. In 2008 total attendance topped three thousand at 3,390, and in 2010 exceeded four thousand with 4,238 attendees and four official convention hotels. Growth for the convention has historically averaged 14% a year.

Since 1997, the Anthrocon Charity Auction has donated a total of more than $240,000 to local charities.

Security for the convention has been provided by the Dorsai Irregulars since 2002.

Current location and timeslot
Due to the unforeseen sale and closure of the Adam's Mark Hotel in November 2004, Anthrocon chose the Wyndham Franklin Plaza in Philadelphia as the site for its 2005 convention. In 2005, Anthrocon announced that they would be moving to the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for the 2006 convention. Because of scheduling conflicts, the convention had to temporarily leave its normal July timeslot and was held June 15-18 in 2006. The 2007 convention was held July 5-8 at the same location.

A 2007 move to Pittsburgh was actually envisioned by Anthrocon's Board of Directors before the sale of the Adam's Mark Hotel took place, due to Anthrocon's increasing attendance. Anthrocon began soliciting people's opinions about moving to Pittsburgh in October 2004.

Many attendees who supported the move lived so far away from Pennsylvania that the move made little difference to the trip there.

Leadership
The chairman of the convention, Dr. Samuel Conway (nicknamed Kagemushi or Uncle Kage among attendees), oversees the operations of the Anthrocon with the help of staff and a number of volunteers who donate their time and energy throughout the weekend to assist the multitude of small tasks which arise.

Attendance
Anthrocon's attendance has increased every year, except for Anthrocon 2005 which changed venue after its original hotel was scheduled for demolition. Membership in the fursuit parade has tended to increase as well, rising to 5.9% of members in 2005 to a peak of 28.7% in 2016.

Incorporation and Trademarks
Anthrocon, Inc. was incorporated as a non-profit organization on 25 June 1998 and registered as a 501(c)(7) social and recreation club in the state of Pennsylvania (entity 2823650). This classification differs from the 501(c)(3) status of Midwest Furry Fandom and Anthropomorphic Arts and Education - most notably, donations are not tax-deductible to their donors, but in return the company has more flexibility about its operations, and more leeway to restrict access to non-members (in fact, it is expected to, as otherwise it is not a club).

Applications to register the word "Anthrocon" and the 'Anthrocon paw' as US trademarks were filed on 18 September and 12 November 2006, respectively. According to these filings, the word "Anthrocon" was first used on 1 February 1997, while the paw logo was used from 30 June 1998.

The rest of the Board of Directors includes:

The choice of Toonseum was made with consultation of the furry community via a LiveJournal post by Rigel. It has so far been the only (fandom-approved) exception to the "animal related" charity rule.

Crusader Cat

2017-07-10T15:35:06Z

Thesium: /* Convention attendant */ Not sure about other ones, though I have a video with him in the Anthrocon 2017 fursuit parade, so I'm 100% sure he was there

Crusader Cat is a fursuiter, writer and actor who lives in Alabama, USA.

Biography
Crusader Cat was an Independent Baptist, advocating King James only movement, and was criticial C.S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia, and Christian rock. He is a published playwright, musical theatre actor, and bagpiper.

Fandom involvement
Crusader Cat was introduced to the furry fandom when he was seventeen, after discovering furry pornography. As a result, he became fiercely anti-furry, believing it was some sort of bestiality cult. At the age of twenty, after discovering and contacting other Christian furries, he learned of the diversity of the fandom, and later concluded that being a furry didn't contradict his Christian beliefs.

He has since renounced his religious affiliation.

Fursona
Crusader Cat's fursona is a brown house cat with a blond salad-bowl haircut, and is most commonly depicted wearing a medieval knight outfit or orange NASA inspired jumpsuit.

Controversy
In 2009, Crusader Cat was banned from Fur Affinity after threatening legal action against the site, under the belief that the FA staff were not taking his harassment issues regarding several userswho seriously, fact or were ignoring these trouble tickets outright due to his religious beliefs.fact.

Who Are You People?

2017-06-27T21:02:07Z

Thesium: /* "Misfit Furries" chapter */ Sunshine skunk just redirects to Timothy Fay

Who Are You People? ("A Personal Journey Into the Heart of Fanatical Passion in America") is the second book by the award-winning columnist and writer Shari Caudron.

Caudron's book is an often personal insight into the world of the fanatically (be it with the material or the intangible) obsessed. Shari Caudron set out to find out the reason why certain people were endowed with a seemingly never-ending amount of passion to fuel on that particular personal pursuit, belief or hobby. One of the many "subcultures" covered in this book is Furry fandom itself.

This book relates her long, cross-county quest to find what was the missing piece that Trekkies, doll collectors, Star Wars fans, and other fanatics had that kept their passion alive, in a way to discover why hers never stayed lit. It also sets the record straight on many of these American subcultures.

An excerpt from this book has received the Christine White Creative Nonfiction Award for excellence in literary journalism from Goucher College, home of the country's premiere creative nonfiction MFA program. Additionally, a chapter from the book has already been anthologized in "The Fourth Genre".

"Misfit Furries" chapter
The author's interaction with the furry fandom occurs in Chapter 10, "Misfit Furries", in which she attends Califur 1 in Costa Mesa, California. The chapter functions as something of a catharsis for the author, as at the furry convention she finds herself able to finally feel close to a community. (The chapter is the last experiential one of the book's second section, which is titled "Immerse".)

Here's an outline (page references from the paperback edition, first printing):

* pp. 181-183: The author gives an overview of what furries are, described here as "...people who share a love for the anthropomorphic representation of animals". She also discusses furry concepts of "alter egos" and misincarnates (those who feel are born into the wrong body), along with the sexual "darker side" represented by CSI and MTV.
* pp. 183-184: She's registered for the convention by Loial Otter.
* pp. 184-185: She attempts to interview convention organizer AlohaWolf, who refers her to Mark Merlino (Sylys Sable). ("He's better at this than I am.")
* pp. 186-190: A long and wide-ranging interview with Sylys Sable. He gives her some fandom background going back to 1985, points out furry influences in popular culture, discusses the concept of "fursona", and describes his home life.
* pp. 190-194: She wanders the halls, attends workshops (and the adult art show), and muses. She ends up at the bar, where she meets a sympathetic bartender and furry-hostile patron.
* pp. 194-197: An interview with Stalking Cat, who discusses his body modifications and shamanism, with comments from nearby furries.
* p. 198: The author makes a phone call to her partner at home.
* pp. 199-201: The next day. A visit to the Fursuit Performance Workshop, led by Horsey. She also describes appearances by a "smiling, wide-eyed Dalmation (sic) in a hula skirt"; a puppy named Puppy doing the Macarena; a unicorn named Zachariah"; and her "favorite", Sunshine Skunk, the Union Jack-wearing skunk fursuit featured on the book's cover (created by furry artist, Timothy Fay).
* pp. 201-203: An interview with Ben Raccoon. He talks about finding the furry fandom through TigerMUCK, and the prevalence of "outcasts" among furries.
* pp. 203-207: An interview with Xian Jaguar, who describes her introduction to the furry fandom and her attitudes as a Christian toward its sexual aspects. The author buys one of her prints, from which the chapter's title derives: "Misfit Dragon".
* pp. 207-208: The chapter ends with an upbeat session in the video room: "...Nala and Simba are nuzzling on the screen, and because I'm finally having a good time with the furries, and because, yes, Elton, in response to your question, I <i>can</i> feel the love tonight. Thanks for asking. Especially since it took this wide-eyed wanderer a while to get here."

Thesium: guest of honor at AnthrOhio 2017

Draconis is the performer in fursuits such as Jugular Jaguar and Calamity Cougar. He has organized variety shows and fursuit parades at conventions. He has been on staff of Rocket City FurMeet, Oklacon, and Furry Fiesta.

Jugular Jaguar, or JJ for short, is a famous fursuit that has been spotted at almost all major furcons in the Eastern US.

JJ often carries around a Magna Doodle® board which he uses to communicate with the audience, if necessary.

Out of multiple stunts pulled by this pesky jaguar, probably the most well known are the Bell of Annoyance (which helped to raise MFM's contributions to Tiger Haven charity), and Dunk The Jaguar (the right to throw JJ into the RCFM hotel pool was auctioned off for the benefit of the charity).

At MFF 2005, Jugular Jaguar was responsible for a petition to "change the MFF mascot to anything but a raccoon", for which he was duly chastised at the Variety show.

At Wild Nights 2011, Draconis served as Events and Promotions Director.

In 2012, Draconis was a guest of honor at both the F3 Convention and Fangcon.

As of 2013, Draconis has worked at Furry Fiesta for every year since Furry Fiesta 2010, putting together the variety show, now known as the Furry Drama show.

In 2017, Draconis was a guest of honor at 2017.

Ino is the owner of Skypro Fursuits. Ino was a guest of honor at Arizona Fur Con (2013 and 2015). and ConFurgence 2015

Fursonas
* Sin, a female dragon.
* Sky fancy hooves, a male Clydesdale horse.

Dutch Angel Dragon
Dutch Angel Dragon is a fictional species. Dutch Angel Dragons, often shortened to just "Angel Dragons", "DutchADs", "DADs" or the increasingly popular nickname "Dutchies", are supernatural beings similar to poltergeists or ghosts. They walk among us as guardian angels and long ago were tasked to be watchful protectors of our realm. These dragons live on a higher dimensional plane of existence in a parallel universe called the Aether and manipulate energy in various ways to grant them unique capabilities, such as flight or elemental powers, and can also use this energy to allow themselves to interface with people and objects in our dimension. They are essentially immortal and able to reincarnate themselves and change their physical appearance.

The word "Dutch" in the species title is misleading for some, it does not refer to the Dutch language or people in any way. This was actually the name of Ino's late horse that inspired the species.

Appearance
Dutch Angel Dragons are an open, but regulated species. In order to be considered a Dutch Angel Dragon, they are required to have all the following physical traits: horse-like anatomy (found in the body and facial structure), feathered wings, no genitalia or digestive tract as they are sexless/genderless supernatural beings, long ears, and fur coats. Although they usually have sharp teeth, they also have the layout/spacing of horse teeth. Many dragons will also include feather accents, horns, claws, scales, hooves or paws, and tails but these attributes are not required and are often included for functional reasons as dictated by their environment or.

These dragons also have the ability to change their markings and psychical appearance throughout their lives. They are often based on colors and patterns that appeal most to them and there is no limit to their designs, apart from one simple guideline: With the only exceptions being Telephone and Radio (her fiancé's character). Dutch Angel Dragons cannot have a “muzzle ring” marking- that is best described as a band of color that visibly separates the front of the nose from the rest of the face across the top by connecting at the edge of the mouth.

Long ago, all Dutch Angel Dragons had a special marking around their muzzle in the shape of a ring. This was a symbol that represented their bond of loyalty to the realm and a promise of the duties they would uphold. When they no longer had the ability to reside in the realm of Paradise, this responsibility was revoked, and the band from their coats was removed to show that this bond was now broken. It is for this reason that no Dutch Angel Dragons can have or form this marking on themselves, as it is no longer within their abilities to do so. Telephone and Radio are the last and only dragons that are able to continue to display the ring marking around thier muzzles because thier bond to Paradise has not yet been severed.

Telephone
Ino created the first Dutch Angel Dragon named Telephone. This iconic character is most commonly known in the form of a fursuit costume that was made for Ino and built by Carly of Fursuits. Ino is the primary performer for the Telephone suit and is responsible for the character’s personality, design, and backstory, as well as the development of the Dutch Angel Dragon species and lore as a whole.

The Geek Hierarchy

The Geek Hierarchy was devised by Lore Sjöberg and published on his now-defunct humor website, Brunching Shuttlecocks, in January, 2002. The hierarchy was a complicated chart that shows what groups consider themselves 'less geeky than' other groups.

The Geek Hierarchy and furry
Sjöberg ranked furries high in geekiness in his chart and correspondingly close to the bottom of the pile of those looked down upon; however, the absolute epitome of geekiness, as determined by the Geek Hierarchy, is

House Rules

2017-02-18T02:28:23Z

Thesium: Dead now

House Rules was a site and group that maintains a collection of coloured Ozy and Millie strips. It was founded in 2004 and was led by Caigan Mythfang. It was officially endorsed by Ozy and Millie artist D.C. Simpson.

House Rules aimed to eventually provide coloured versions of as many strips as possible. Strips were mostly posted in sequence according to storyline, to make reading the archives easier and to offer a good (and coloured) alternative to the official Ozy and Millie archives. It maintained a regular update schedule, though schedules changed frequently and updates were occasionally delayed. The strips were mostly coloured by fans, although the strips that were coloured by D.C. Simpson also appeared in the site's strip archives.

The site was hosted on Lupinia. It was given a major overhaul by CodeCat in April 2007, who has been the site's main webmaster from then on. The link to the web site now shows that the domain is free.

Saberclaw

2017-02-18T01:41:21Z

Thesium: Hidden Arts link dead. Updated Facebook.

Saberclaw (also known as Kyouske, real name Kambrin Brown; born December 17, 1985, in Tuskegee, Alabama, U.S.A.) is a Clouded Leopard/wolf fursuiter, fantasy writer, and fursuit builder born in Tuskegee, Alabama, who resides in Rock Hill, South Carolina.

Saberclaw was once mated to Bernard Winterpaw but is no longer with him. His current devotion is writing his S.S.S. (Sanil, Saberclaw, Summerstone) novels. Saberclaw has attended Furry Weekend Atlanta (2005-2008) and Anthrocon (2008), where he looks to network and find friends, pets, mates, to build onto his "furamily".

Writing
His favorite genre being fantasy, Saberclaw spends most of his time building elaborate stories based around his character. Having come from an open minded family of furs and dominatrix, his writing style takes on an alternative and sometimes sinister nature.

Fursuiting
Saberclaw participates in many conventions, local fursuiting and furmeets, as well as events around town such as PetSmart.

Saberclaw has three fursuits, a grey wolf fursuit, which has since been retired, a leopard partial made by Hidden-Arts in 2008, and an ocelot fullsuit made by DreamVisionCreations with glowing blue LCD eyes, made in 2011.<ref>Saberclaw's newer fursuit on Fur Affinity. I'm also User:Kodak Disposable, which I used to do some light editing on WikiFur from about 2006 to 2014. I figured that since I've gotten rid of that on other web sites, it's time to do that here too.

I'm about equally furry and Brony, but use each fandom for different things. I enjoy furry artwork and fursuits, but consume far more Brony media. At the time of writing, I have about 1,600 Brony songs and around 100 Audio novels and short stories that I've listened to.
