Das Waffenamt is both a German/Axis military paraphernalia shop, and the groups official headquarters. Every Friday evening, WWII march and propaganda music is streamed on site to "give a feel for the time period."

Controversy
On March 22nd, 2007, the Furzi Truppenverband came to ideological loggerheads with the both the Jews of Second Life and Zionist Association of Second Life groups, plus the sl-JDL, the Second Life branch of the militant Jewish Defense League, when a Jewish player objected and demanded that a avatar who had shopped at Das Waffenamt remove certain Nazi regalia from its avatar while at a third party (non-Furzi/WWII related) military store in-world.

The individual refused to remove the "offensive" item, and admonishing reminder by the store owners to the offended party about player's constitutional right to wear said item resulted on said party summoning members of the JSL and ZASL to the premises. After receiving the exact same response as their first Jewish counterpart, they were directed to the store were the original item had been sold at, Das Waffenamt on the Triphosa sim.

At the location, the demands of removal by the Jewish charters escalated to all items Axis related, with the obvious refusal by the store/group owners on the grounds of protected rights covered by the Constitution of the United States. It was further stated by the store's owners that the acts had been committed by an individual that was not within the Furzi group, and that the owners entrust avatars who shop at Das Waffenamt to follow all Second Life Acceptable Use Policy guidelines. Verbal and griefing escalation resulted on both Jewish groups banned from the shop's premises.

A demand by said groups for the Furzi's ban, and removal of all items Axis related from Second Life to the Lindens were not granted.

The whole matter was later covered on the second issue of 2life, an online magazine dedicated to Jewish matters on Second life.

However the controversy did not end by this. Jewish groups like the sl-JDL and the Zionist Association of Second Life continued protesting Das Waffenamt on their and other websites. Many months later in September 2008 the SL communists filled in complaints against Das Waffenamt and Spotz Spork. Apparently this happened around the same time that the above mentioned Jewish groups handed their Anti-Semitism report to Linden Labs which according to the sl-JDL website resulted into the permanent ban of Spotz Spork and the removal of all Nazi related items that Das Waffenamt sold, as well as in other shops dealing with WW2 items. Within a few days the MAC ban on Spotz was lifted and all of the offending items were made freebies rather than items to be sold.
