Tempo Robinson: Cleaning up some janky sentences and adding new information

Tempo Robinson (Harmony Johnson) is a furry artist, writer, sculptor, and craftsman who was born August 16 and lives in Ironton, Missouri, USA. Her fursona is a grouchy-sweet bipedal Himalayan cat with cream-and-chocolate fur. She wears a black coat, sweatpants, glasses, and hot pink slippers. Her right eye is permanently crossed inward when depicted as an old woman. She sports pink lipstick and blush, but strangely has no other makeup on at any time. Tempo is disabled like how she was in real-life for two years, and uses the same coloured cane her creator used. Tempo's age fluctuates between 68 and Harmony's current age depending on the narrative or situation. Whenever she is used in a role-play or a fictional story, she is 68-years-old and implied to have grandchildren. When used as a personal character, such as in comics to express personal feelings or events that happened in Harmony's life, she is depicted as the age of the owner. Tempo has yet to have a proper reference sheet.

Her twin brother is not interested in the fandom, but has designed a joke fursona to be used in her stories about her personal life. His "sona" is a black bison with glasses who wears a green Pokemon shirt, tan shorts, white tennis shoes, and copper jewelry--a ring on his nose and a ring on his hoof. A fire opal earring adorns his left ear.

Given that she officially joined the furry fandom during the heyday/because of Five Nights at Freddy's, she is under the New Fur category.

Fursona
The first iteration of her fursona under the name Tempo was an animatronic OC (original character) from the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise and had the surname Roboson. She was originally just a Siamese cat with darker blue eyes and matching hot pink blush and lipstick. After a while of having her as that version, a friend convinced her that the art style was "tacky" and lacked creativity because the cat was modeled from a pre-existing franchise. He also brought up some potential legal trouble because Harmony wanted to make a logo for her planned fursuit company, Robo Cat Studios (now named "Grandma's Kitchen"), that had Tempo featured as the mascot and logo. Taking his advice, she redesigned her as an organic Himalayan cat to see the difference it would make. It made plenty.

Tempo Robinson is a wrinkly, short, fat, and sassy old woman with a trick knee and a hippie past. She lives in the futuristic megacity-state Synoropolis's District 14 in a small apartment. She is kind and gentle to children and people who are hard on their luck, but she is very blunt and tells the truth as she sees it. She is superstitious but is seemingly contradictory, given that she is a firm believer in science alongside her metaphysical beliefs. When she isn't at home knitting, she is quite the party animal and will talk your ear off. The spark in her never died from when she was younger, and honestly it feels like she channels Betty White sometimes. She enjoys tea, dolls, roses, crystals, reading, and small talk with a good wine cooler and a puff off her pink pipe when she isn't causing mayhem. She is the usherette and hostess for The Digital Cinema. Her friend is Valentina Musique, a 71 black-and-white dog with dyed green accents. She was friends with a skunk named Katherine Doyle before she passed away from a manalos, a drug similar to heroin, overdose at the age of 23.

"Usherette Tempo Robinson, at your service. Pleased to meet you. Please, take a seat. The feature presentation is about to begin."

Her secondary fursona is Violamakt, the first Ti'Ban-u, an original species Tempo made with a language crafted and a culture under development. She is an olive green with red panda-esque markings. Violamakt is a worry wort of a woman who has to put on an act of toughness to hide her cowardly nature.

Writing, art, and characters
Tempo is mostly active on Furry Amino, but has other furry social media accounts she occasionally uploads to. She mostly draws horror and grotesque traditional art, pixel art done in MS Paint, basic character art in IbisPaint, and watercolour paintings in Fire Alpaca. She has currently written two furry stories, one as a gift for a friend about his elephant character, Nurse Menhera, and one involving her own characters. Both stories are named after lullabies, however the gift was a sad backstory and the original story is a short horror tale.

Tempo aspires to make movies, with one in particular in mind: Synoropolis (Frontier City), a 2D-animated furry crime drama/action movie that takes place in a futuristic dystopian world. She has an entire cast of characters planned out for the movie, but her favourite of the line-up is SnoBall, a down-on-her luck street sweeper turned pill seller who has to save her girlfriend, Geraldine Reed, from the evil clutches of drug lord Go-Go and Governor Cheryl.
420furs.org was created as Bakedfurs.org on August 10, 2007 by Bad Karma Networks. In June 2008 it changed names to 420furs.org, citing an intent to stir up new users and content as well as facilitate the manual migration of its numerous e-mail accounts to a new hosting solution. Its target audience included anyone in the fandom who self-administered drugs, or supported the right to do so. To quote the site's About Us page:
Con dealers
Regarding your recent edit to Midwest FurFest 2013‎, do we really want to get into the practice of listing the dealers who were at a particular convention? It seems to me like going to a level of detail that not many readers would be that interested in and which adds clutter to the article. If some dealer's appearance at a convention is particularly notable for some reason it could still be included, but I don't see why that would be the case with a couple of the dealers you've already listed. --mwalimu 09:30, 3 December 2013 (EST)

: Thought since convention articles list specific events (including shows, panels etc) that listing dealers would also be of interest. Plus the ones that are redlinks let others know which ones don't have articles yet. --EarthFurst 13:32, 3 December 2013 (EST)

::I tend to agree that this information is unlikely to be of particular interest to readers after the convention unless certain dealers were notable by their presence. It might be more interesting to have it on the article about the dealer, so that fans have an idea what conventions they are likely to be at in the future, just as some articles record convention attendance. Even more useful would be to add every dealer to WikiFur, as almost all are likely to be of interest to furries and many may be new up-and-coming artists who we should have articles on. --GreenReaper(talk) 16:12, 3 December 2013 (EST)
Categories in DPL
I hacked in a fix for categories in DPL results. The existing version of DPL was doing something specifically weird and I'm not sure why - the code is hideous. There's a newer version from a different maintainer who's been trying to clean it up, but it doesn't fix that specific problem and adds more breakage right now, so I'm avoiding it until things improve. The front page should work once the DPL cache times out. --GreenReaper(talk) 17:29, 22 April 2015 (EDT)
Artist collectives category
Should articles in this category have "Category:Artists" removed, as this is a sub-category of the Artists category? --Equivamp - <small>talk</small> 02:48, 4 August 2015 (EDT)

: Thanks for asking. GreenReaper pointed out "They are not individual artists, as is implied for that category." So removing those collectives articles from Category:Artists would be appropriate. --EarthFurst 02:12, 4 August 2015
Hello, I am "Akonite" and noticed you have a page on me using that name.

"Akonite" is a business name I use outside the fandom. I have changed all my fandom names recently to protect my business interests outside the fandom (it was my mistake to use the name in the first place). I don't mind being on the site, but would prefer to be listed under "Kubaryi" which is my fandom name. Current internet search results have damaged some business contacts and I would like to resolve that. I am also currently resolving the name issue on other fandom sites.
I have left the name up on my weasyl page so you can see it's me and see the transition I'm making. https://www.weasyl.com/~akonite

<b>Tempo Robinson</b> (Harmony Johnson) is a 17-year-old furry artist, writer, sculptor, and craftsman that lives in Ironton, Missouri. Her fursona is a grouchy and cross-eyed, bipedal Himalayan cat with cream-and-chocolate fur that wears a black coat, sweatpants, glasses, and hot pink slippers. Glasses adorns her face and frames her sky blue eyes. She sports pink lipstick and blush but strangely has no eyelashes or eye shadow. Tempo is disabled both in real-life and in her fursona, and both use a cane to get around. Tempo's age fluctuates between 68 and 17 depending on the narrative situation. Whenever she is used in a role-play or fictional story, she is 68-years-old and implied to have grandchildren. When used as a personal character, such as in comics to express personal feelings or events that happened in Harmony's life, she is depicted as the age of the owner.

Her twin brother is not interested in the fandom, but has designed a joke fursona to be used in her stories about her personal life. His "sona" is a black bison with glasses that wears a green Pokemon shirt, tan shorts, white tennis shoes, and copper jewelry--a ring on his nose and a ring on his hoof. A fire opal earring adorns his left ear.

Given that she officially joined the furry fandom during the heyday/because of Five Nights at Freddy's, she is under the New Fur category.

Fursona
The first iteration of her fursona under the name Tempo was an animatronic OC from the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise and had the surname Roboson. She was originally just a Siamese cat with darker blue eyes and matching hot pink blush and lipstick. After a while of having her as that version, her friend, Æternum, convinced her that the art style is "tacky" and lacks creativity because the cat was modeled from a preexisting franchise. He also brought up some potential legal trouble because Harmony wanted to make a logo for her future fursuit company, Robo Cat Studios, that had Tempo featured as the mascot and logo. Taking his advice, she redesigned her as an organic Himalayan cat to see the difference it would make. It made plenty.

A secondary fursona is under works. Her name is Serenity.

Writing and Art
Tempo is known on Amino for her twisted and nightmarish imagery, taking fursonas and ocs and completely destroying them. She specializes in mecha and the uncanny valley with body horror elements mixed in. The most prominent features shown in her work are ripped ears, large, expressive eyes, and ripped open maws with an ungodly amount of teeth. She can also draw more normal looking art and cute, kemono styles as well, but the horror is what she is known best for.

Her stories aren't much better. Even though there are only two short stories uploaded at the moment, both feature elements of sadness. <i>Baby Mine</i> is a somber story that follows a nurse named Menhera, an elephant, and her trauma from her past relationship. It is never directly said what happened, but there are hints and clues scattered throughout for people to piece together what went wrong all those years ago. Its genre slice of life and tragedy. <i>Boats and Birds</i> documents the exploration of an abandoned medical research center 20 years after a nuclear disaster. The main character, Billie, is a brown bunny with a recording camera who wants to explore the building. There is plenty of gross imagery from the derelict architecture to the ooze that splatters the wall. There is a monster that chases her in the story, so she has to find a way to shake it off of her tail and to reach an exit. The genre is post-apocalyptic horror.

Both stories are named after lullabies that are found in the text and both feature twist endings. The stories also feature a seemingly unrelated painting until the end of the story is reached. The characters are, however, unrelated. Nurse Menhera was an adopt given to her best friend, Siris the Lion, and a story was written to go along with her to give the character depth. Billie is the main protagonist of <i>Core 13</i>, a video game that Tempo wants to make in the far future. The short is supposed to be the dialog and story of the first area of the game and the tutorial.

Future Projects
Tempo is currently working out ideas for a video game and a movie, both taking place in the same universe but in different settings. The script for the movie, <i>Synoropolis</i> (working title) is currently being worked on. Character concept art has been drawn. <i>Core 13</i> is more than likely going to be completed first given the content and the team to be hired. Public discussions of the concepts are always welcomed.

Tempo and other furs have also been discussing and planning a potential furry festival known as Ironfur Festival, an animal-themed festival with carnival elements that would be hosted in Southeast Missouri.

Ruby Quest is a horror themed webcomic and choose your own adventure text RPG game that was hosted on the 4Chan board /tg/ by user and artist Weaver that was created in December 2008. The game has become well-known for its deceivingly simple art style and its exploration of dark themes such as eldritch horror and insanity. The story follows a female rabbit named Ruby and a male cat named Tom. The two characters are trying to find a way to escape a mysterious facility filled with monsters and dangerous architecture. It is now concluded.

Premise
The game first begins in a dark room with only a bright red button and Ruby's eyes to be seen in the pitch black. After some requests from the players, she manages to get out of the darkness only to reveal that she was trapped in a locker in a room with a trash barrel, a door, a key pad, and a shuttered window. We also see just how minimalist the art style is and that Ruby isn't a human, but rather an anthropomorphic rabbit. From then on, the game becomes a puzzle solving text-based game with visuals to accompany the scenario. Over time, it morphs into a horror game with elements inspired by the Cthulhu mythos and the point-and-click game <i>the white chamber</i>. There is some humour woven into the game occasionally, but as the game progresses, it becomes more and more scarce.

How to Play
In order to progress the story, Weaver would ask people on the thread to give him suggestions for the actions characters would make. He would then choose the most popular serious request and use it for the game. This, however, wouldn't be a guarantee, because some actions were set in stone for the characters to act by Weaver's own plot and other times he would occasionally indulge on more sillier requests for a breath of fresh air from the game's grim atmosphere. You can read it as a webcomic here.

Art Style
Ruby Quest, like most of Weaver's work, has a very simple art style done in black and white with the rare occasion of a splash of colour. The art seems to be drawn in MS Paint or done in a way to resemble it, with pixels and straight edges and no soft shading. The characters are drawn with stick arms and for the most part, no face sans line eyes. Often times, objects would have to be specifically labeled by Weaver because they were too simple looking to be able to know what they were. This, however, isn't the rule, for during several moments in the game there would be highly detailed images on the screen to either indicate importance or to enhance the horror atmosphere.

Non-Spoiler Characters
<b>Ruby</b>: A female white rabbit and our main protagonist. She has an air of defiance in her with a constant state of worry. Highly intelligent with a girlish physique.
<p><b>Tom</b>: A male cat and our secondary protagonist. He finds himself to be more of a "macho man" and finds Ruby to be a close friend. Not as smart as Ruby, but definitely stronger.</p>
<p><b>Red</b>: A male fox with a cane and toothy grin.</p>
<p><b>Ace</b>: A behemoth of a bird that seems to be invincible. He will stop at nothing to capture Ruby and Tom.</p>
<p><b>Stitches</b>: A bear with a mouth on his head. Yeah...</p>
