Under the alias of ArcticKiba, McKenzie Sauder is an anthro writer and artist inspired by many greater writers and artist, such as Bernard Doove (As you can clearly read in some of Arctic's stories). He is currently nineteen and living in an appartment with his girlfriend and still attending high school, as he has failed twice. Ironically, the subjects he fails in are both art and English.

A very noticeable pattern in his stories is his facination with canines of all sorts, expecially wolves. Many people that knew him in his middle school years would now why he loves them, including myself.

His affliction with wolves started when the local zoo finally brought some in. He was volunteering to feed the animals. McKenzie has always been good with dogs and constantly claims he was practically raised by his first dog. Luckily for him, the wolves were tamed and raised in captivity, so he was in no real danger of being attacked by one. Almost as a stunt, he would approuch one and pet it while offering a treat. He still continues doing this in front of live crowds of people and playing around with the cubs.

More recently, his parents have purchased a lot in Western Ontario where his landlord had a pet wolf cub, who's parents were shot, and has taken it upon himself to take care of it, even though he may have to take it in to animal rehabilitation or the zoo he volunteers at.

McKenzie is also the founder and leader of an anthro club called 'The Sturgeon Furs' founded in 2006, with his girlfriend and severel friends and fellow artists that were in his school and met at several different locations to avoid the constant annoyance of 'fur bashers' that would come along also to tease and aggrivate them. They all kept in contact via E-Mail. The Stugeon Furs accept any who wish to join still.

Their goal is to provide a place for other local furries to meet each other, as well as to promote the furry genre.

This proyect (which originally started as a joke) developed from the need of extending the social network among Argentine fandom members. Its founders, ZorroRe and Pablo, were helped by FurryZero for registering its name and mascot. Among the first members were OsoZeth, SenkoLKE, Fire, and others who joined during those first years. Its original goal was to attract other furry fans from the same country, as well as letting them get in touch with the other members of the fandom, which were not many yet in Argentina.

From its humble beginnings, the UFA has encouraged furries in its country to join it, as well as furries from other parts of the world. As time went on, more joined this group, and furs from other countries began to learn about its existence.

Since 2002, the UFA has had a stand in [http://www.leyendas.ahiros.com.ar/ Leyendas], a comic convention which takes place in [[Wikipedia:Rosario|Rosario]], Argentina. In 2004, they began [[UFACon]], an annual event which has been held as a part of Leyendas to the present date.

'''YiffChat''' is a rather popular web-based furry chat hosted by [[Yiffstar]]. Unlike many other chats or [[MUCK]]s, YiffChat is aimed at [[yiff]]ing and sexual [[role-play]]. Explicit actions in the lobby are the norm, not the exception.

The chat allows profiles with pictures, and is popular with "newcomers" because usage is much easier than that of a [[MUCK]]. However, many of the "newcomers" are ignored and rejected due to the fact that the chat is "seniority friendly," meaning that the users who have been in the chat for four plus years are generally cruel and rude to newcomers.

Rooms such as Twilight Den, Evergreen Forest and Beirce Castle are all used for get togethers and public chat yiffs. The site recently made the use of private rooms created by the user for private chats and activity. The [[Lobby]] is not yiff-friendly, meaning that if you try to publicly yiff, you will be forced into whisper or another room. The users there do not like public yiffs.

A crash, back in 2006, caused the chat to be completely erased, though it quickly was put back online. Many users, however, were forced to create new usernames and the timeline was thrown off balance.

Many users of the chat argue that the adult theme be removed, due to the fact that many (though not much) users seem to be secretly underaged. It is currently a year ban for minors.

Users also argue that while it is named "YIFFchat," it's also "yiffCHAT," a place to talk to a group of people at once. The private room function is helpful to this goal, as adult role-play can be unseen by users outside of said locked room.

Despite many problems within the chat and it's staff, yiffchat is a rather pleasant place and many lovers (such as [[Kiroki]] and [[Graeme]]) have been together for years, owing their relationship to the chat.

=Lobby=

The lobby is where most of the activity in the chat is and where most of the furries reside. Chatting in the lobby can sometimes be confusing for newcomers, since the more popular members of the chat rarely acknowledge them, unless it's as a target for humiliating and condescending remarks. Drama is usually persistent here, though the senior members of the chat (four, five years of regularly attending) tend to avoid it if possible. However, they are often the start of some of the drama that erupts between them and the newer members. The lobby usually moves pretty quickly and is rather "noisy," though there's usually always somebody to talk to. Irritating the older members usually is not a good idea, since many of them have close, personal friendships with the moderators, who have been known to defend their friends first. However, many of them can be rather pleasant, so do not be afraid to approach a moderator with a question.

Senior Members of the chat are usually the ones talking to eachother, though background noise (the newer members) can be seen talking, as well. Popularity in the lobby seems to be just like a high school clique, though the more popular users end up as close friends or possibly more. It's based on personality and attractiveness offline. They are mainly less-serious furries, who do it for fun, not as a lifestyle. They do not like the word "yiff" and sometimes complain about "text speak" (examples: "u" "r" "gr8"), insisting on proper grammar and nearly-perfect spelling. Senior members usually call yiffchat "YC" due to their dislike of the word "yiff." They usually are pretty normal people with no outlandish kinks, and an actual life outside of the computer. They also have a range of talents. While they usually "lol" at the Louvre crowd, some of them tend to interact. They are somewhat like "celebrities."

Trolls are common in the lobby, and these are mainly people who go around spouting off insults to anybody and pretending not to be offended in return when other people try to insult them. Senior members usually laugh at this, knowing what the troll is up to, (sometimes they actually are senior members) though they tend to ignore them most of the time.

==Controversy==

The lobby obviously is a target to many different controversial subjects. Claims such as "elitism" have even spawned a few renegade furs who were either ignored or mistreated by the senior lobby members have even caused additional chatrooms to be created by other websites. These other websites usually center around the "new" chat, though many of them do not last long and the most popular one, "Furrotic Dreams chat," has become a place of lobby-haters. Generally these are furs who weren't socially accepted or whom have longed to be moderators due to an overly-controlling nature. This chat is somewhat of a joke to the senior members, obviously amused that they got such a reaction out of a few newer, less accepted members who could not deal with being socially outcast properly.

The moderators have also had their share of controversy. Ever since the failed "wheel mod" system had permanently created senior mods - a senior user who had become a temporary moderator - and many people assumed that their popularity got them their posts and that they were nothing more than unfair, power-hungry dictators. Their response is usually, "this is a dictatorship, not a democracy." Telorance, a former troll and current moderator, had aggravated Toumal, the owner, so much that "he threw the mod badge at" and "told him never to talk to him again." This has caused a rather negative feeling all around the lobby, seeing as Telorance was banned every other day before his modship due to trolling. He's known to jump the gun and often ban users for no reason. He also is the mod who holds the record for most-complaints. There is a moderator list in the lobby description. It is a known fact that some moderators have more power than others.

Another controversial subject is that of Toumal's hatred of the chat. While this may or may not be true, he has, many times, tried to replace the chat with a generic, no-good version that usually lasted two or three days, tops. It's common knowledge that he loathes messing with VOC's coding, but he seems to have no other choice, as half of yiffstar members came to yiffstar via yiffchat, those same users threatening to leave the website if VOC is replaced. A new chat is in the talks right now, again, which may or may not be the reason Toumal has allowed the chatroom to become so laggy. This is discussed mainly between senior members in the lobby and moderators who have an inside look at the going-ons via the moderator's secret thread on the Forums.

=Louvre - MALE=

The Louvre male is the hang-out spot for the overly homosexual, somewhat flamboyant male users. While some of them seethe that the lobby would not accept them socially, they have banded together and have formed close friendships. However, they accuse senior members of being "elitist" while they, as well, are "elitist." They commonly bash the newer members, moreso than the senior members, and cause most of the drama around the chat. They rarely accept outsiders into the Louvre. The Louvre has replaced the Tirade Cafe. The Louvre used to show image links as images instead of links, but it made the chat increasingly laggy, so that function was removed.

=PUB's=

Private User Board is a function of the chat that allows you to send and receive messages between users that nobody, but yourself, can see. These messages are even shielded from moderators, who can read whispers via chat logs, though there are certain ways for moderators to get to them. Some users have a -1% PUB notice, due to a tweak caused by Toumal. It is not an error and the mods do not like to be bugged about it.

=IGN=

Another chat function, the Ignore Button, is located next to the profile and gender symbols. While also controversial between many users, it is used to block out annoying chatter or irritating remarks caused by drama and a general feeling of animosity. Clicking "vis" will take a member off of ignore. Mods often stress that using it will reduce drama, though it is rarely used.

=Profiles=

A profile in yiffchat is a way for people to know who you are and what you are. You can code it with HTML however you please, though a basic sense of HTML is needed to do it correctly. Images are popular, as are lengthy descriptions. Many users like to decorate them according to their personality, but mainly people like to keep them simple and clean for the best effect. There are many rules, however, limiting what you may or may not put into a profile.

=Bans=

Bans are given out to those by moderators to users who are not following the rules on the front page or in the "Rules" tab at the top of the page. They range from 10 seconds to 1 year, though permabans have been given out to infamous chat-goers in the past. Bans can be challenged via Mantis.

== History ==
Jako joined the Hungarian Furry community in 2005. His [[fursona]] was initially a [[raptor]], which he imagined partly as a [[role playing]] character, partly as his fursona. He changed his fursona to a [[kangaroo]] in the Summer of 2006.

==Artwork==
In addition to attending a Multimedia development course, Jako draws mostly furry-anthro art in his spare time. He posts his artwork on such online art galleries such as [[Fur Affinity]].

Jako mostly draws for himself but he also randomly draws for other furries as gifts or art trades. He rarely uploads his art because it requires a lot of care from him.

== History ==

In April 1st, 2007, the FA header and Fender account avatar featured a [[female]] [[anthro]] [[dragon]] that resembled Fender in terms of color pattern, markings, and clothing. This was widely believed to be an [[wikipedia:April_Fools|April Fool's]] joke,{{fact}} and soon disappeared from the FA header after about one week.

The header was used as a placeholder for the newly released dark theme until May, when FA announced that there would be two mascots, and that the new dragon character would be named Rednef.{{fact}}

The May 2007 banner is the first banner to feature her as a de-facto official character. from then on, she has appeared/been featured on several themed banners, by herself or alongside Fender.
