== Story ==
Very little is known about the story right now. But from what has been posted on their official site (At the time of writing), the story will be about a large pink bunny that gets picked on by '3 rascal rodents' and wants to get even with them.

== Background ==
A Rabbit's Revenge is an open source 3D movie project scheduled to be released around March of 2008. Upon it's release, it will be published freely on the official website for anyone to watch or use. Using only [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_Source_Software Open Source Software] for the video production aspect of the film, it would be counted as the 2nd Open Source Movie made (the first being [http://orange.blender.org Elephants Dream]) using an open source 3D content creation suite called [http://www.blender.org Blender]. The movie itself will theoretically run for about 7 minutes and will go for a Pixar feel.

== Open Source Movie? ==
An open source movie is generally a free movie that anyone can download and watch. And it also includes all the source files (the files that were created to produce the scenes of the movie) that is also provided freely to the public. That way, if you wanted to produce your own short movie with some of the characters/environments/effects/etc, you can. Unless the license says otherwise, you don't have to ask them if you could use any part of the movie(I'm referring to the license from [http://orange.blender.org Elephants Dream] since Peach hasn't decided on it's license yet).

Another interesting fact about Open Source movies, is that an online community is considered to be a large production booster. Since Blender is an open source program, they can easily test out bugs in various tools, contribute models for use in the scenes, create new features for the program itself, etc. Not only are they helping the movie produce faster, but also adds newer features to the program itself and making it more powerful.
== Checking... ==

Right at this moment, the work is not yet licensed under any particular license (it will be once to animated short is finished). The only reason that I chose the Creative Commons license is mainly because the company that has copyright to it and (Blender Foundation - www.blender.org) had it's last project (Elephants Dream - [http://elephantsdream.org]) copyrighted under a creative commons license. And since the project was labeled as an Open Project, it has a very good chance of being put under a Creative Commons License as well. However, if for some reason they decide to go another route, then I'll have to change the license to match the one specified. I'm currently asking around the forums to determine if it is under the Creative Commons license or not. If it isn't, then I'll remove the image ASAP. I wouldn't see why it wouldn't though, since the only reason that they host their short film projects is to cause the development of their 3D software to accelerate faster.
