Snowwolf: Update with more info and added attendance at FM 2025

Duke Hyena, formerly known as Snow Wolf (often shortened to Snow) and Duke Foley on Second Life (born December 1962), is a longtime fursuiter and community participant based in Lake Elmo, Minnesota, USA. After decades on the West Coast furry scene, he relocated to Minnesota in 2020 and has since become a regular presence at Midwestern events.

Fandom involvement
Duke has been active online since 1978, participating in early BBS communities and later forums under the names “Snow Wolf” and “Duke Hyena.” His long history reflects the evolution of online furry spaces from dial-up bulletin boards to modern social platforms. His first furry convention was 5 in 1994.

In addition to attending conventions, Duke contributed behind the scenes as staff for the first three years of Conifur Northwest, helping shape the early direction of the event. He also occasionally assisted staff at Further Confusion in San Jose, California with equipment or his expertise in video or presentation technology.

Fursona
Duke’s primary fursona, Duke Hyena, was established in 2006 following the acquisition of his first hyena fursuit. The character reflects his long-standing interest in hyenas and performance-based costuming.

Fursuits
My Fursuits] – Duke Hyena's fursuits on Flickr. Retrieved April 9, 2014.</ref>
His collection spans multiple designs and iterations, reflecting both personal character development and advances in fursuit construction over time.

3D scanning
At Elliott's Spring Gathering 2014, Duke and collaborators offered a free 3D fursuit scanning service. Using VRML output, participants received digital models of their suits following the event, an early example of integrating 3D capture technology into the fandom.cn

Convention attendance
Faibanx MUCK is a furry-themed MUCK inhabited mostly by users of the website Lava Dome Five, with a high abundance of macrophiles, herpetophiles, and "pawlovers". It is an adult MUCK and thus unsuitable for anyone under the age of 18. Registration is required for access, as there is no option to connect as a guest. The website has a Java client for those without a separate MUCK client.

Description
Faibanx MUCK is a small and often rather quiet MUCK where everyone is welcome, particularly those who like macro, scalies, paws, are just looking for some friendly conversation, or a mix of all thereof. The world is a large town, most areas being built to handle macro characters as well, with lots of nature around it. Public activity concentrates on the Town Square (the central area in town) whereas adult roleplaying usually moves on to another part of town or a private place, and activity peaks in the U.S. evening but is lower at sleeping times.

The unit of currency in Faibanx is the Kruft (Kr).

Policy
Everyone and any species is welcome, as long as the players stay nice and are open-minded. That being the most basic principle of the MUCK, it is vital that players stay polite towards folks that enjoy other things as they do.

Since Faibanx is very character-based and personal, guest accounts are currently disabled. If you want to try it out, just send the Dinosorceror a request with character name and password and you should have your account within one day.

Map
There is a Javascript-made map of the Faibanx MUCK available to the public at http://download.lavadomefive.com/members/blue/map/main.html, courtesy of Blue, the Faibanx cartographer. The map depicts Faibanx locations as bitmap tiles on a large canvas, allowing zoom and access to details about the zone (including its inhabitants).
