Smokescale Aquatos (also known under the pen name Smokey Blue Dragon) is an author of short stories, some of which are furotica. Several of his stories center around fetishes such as vore, unbirthing, hermaphrodites, and transformations. He hopes in the future to become published and be taken as a serious writer.

He began writing for the furry community shortly after beginning college in late 2002 and has continued to produce material.

Original characters
Smokescale has several characters that he has roleplayed as and/or written about.
*Shayna
*Sirius Nocturne
*Jessie Tigress
*Celene Helmane
*Saeila
*Brian Darkstar
*Darren Evans
*Elizabeth Amunet.

Current Work
Smokescale prefers to work on his own original series versus writing fanfiction, but has been known to write the latter in very rare instances.

Current story series in progress include:
* The Treetop Inn
* Fuzzy Navel
* Wizhelm Syndrome II (nearing completion)
* Distraction!!

All of this can be found on his personal website (still under construction), while certain portions can be found only on his FurAffinity account or his Yiffstar account.

Fursona
As a character, Smokescale Aquatos is a blue water dragon, found generally to be around 5'9" tall, slim build and is the owner of a fictional resort known as the Treetop Inn. Almost every character created by the writer exists here in some fashion as a member of the staff under Mr. Aquatos' employment.

Due to his in-story relationship with the angelic dragon Shayna, his gender is constantly in flux. Originally male, he can be found shifted between various sexes at Shayna's whim. This is a source of much of the goings-on in the stories themselves.

Originally, Smokey possessed a greyish hide (hence the name Smokescale) but as time passed, he became blue reflecting the author's favorite color but the grey remained a mainstay along his chest and belly.

After reading a fictional writing entitled "Suma" by the author Hedonism, Smokey was fitted with a pouch used for similar activities as can be found in the aforementioned story. While the original context of the feature was more a means of domination and sexual humiliation, it is in Smokey's mind understood that his character has evolved enough to utilize it instead for recreational activities, usually of a sexual nature. Normally, this pouch is concealed beneath the scales of his chest but it can be revealed for use.

Smokescale: /* Characters */

Smokescale Aquatos (also known under the pen name "Smokey Blue Dragon") is an aspiring author who writes short stories, usually of an adult nature consisting mostly of original characters of his own creation. He has been known to write about vore, unbirthing, hermaphrodites, transformations, and various other fetishes that may or may not be widely accepted by the general public or much of the fandom. He began writing for the furry community shortly after beginning college in late 2002/early 2003 and has continued to produce material though at a reserved pace. He hopes one day to produce a work of a non-sexual nature to be published and distributed into the general public.

He has on several occasions attempted to go beyond the title of 'author' to 'artist' but continuously frustrates himself with his lack of experience. It is uncertain as of yet if he will truly break out into his desired field.

Smokescale, called Smokey by many, has a laundry list of characters that he has either roleplayed as personally, simply written about, or a combination of the two, including: Shayna, Sirius Nocturne, Jessie Tigress, Celene Helmane, Saeila, Brian Darkstar, Darren Evans, and Elizabeth Amunet. New characters are constantly in the works.

Though he mostly remains in the realm of original characters, he has on occasion made use of the creations of others, either through requested stories or to pay homage to those he includes. Smokey generally shies away from the idea of the "fanfiction" opting for his own original plots but there is the existence of one two-part story based of a famous video game as per the request of an artist. Such an act is rare for him but he is not above the entire concept provided he has sufficient information on the source material to faithfully recreate the setting.

At the moment, he is currently engaged in a number of story series to which is constantly attempting to write additional chapters. These include: The Treetop Inn, Fuzzy Navel, Wizhelm Syndrome II (nearing completion), and a satirical episodic filler series aptly named "Distraction!!" All of this can be found on his personal website (still under construction), while certain portions can be found only on his FurAffinity account or his Yiffstar account.

Unbirth

2007-10-08T22:12:09Z

Smokescale: /* Unbirthing media */

Unbirthing (also known by the Furspeech term, Re-Whelped) is used to describe the paraphilia involving the desire to be "swallowed alive" by female genitalia, or when a female fur takes another into her womb and "gestates" that fur for a time as her own unborn child. A less-common but still significant minority also practice UB-Vore, wherein the female unbirther's body ultimately consumes the unbirthed. Another variant on this is males absorbing others (generally other males) as a form of male pregnancy. This is known as cock vore and often involves Hypertrophilia and/or Macrophilia.

For obvious reasons, these sexual fetishes solely exist within the realm of (mostly) furry fantasy art and stories.

Views regarding unbirthing
There are several different, slightly overlapping camps of thought regarding this philia:

*For many, unbirthing is attractive in its symbolic meaning. The opportunity to trust someone quite literally with one's entire life, to be nurtured and protected, is what attracts the unbirthed. On the other side, the unbirther can demonstrate her care for another in a deep, trusting way, and enjoy something living inside her, a sensation often attractive in and of itself.
*For others, unbirthing is a form of dominance (hence the vore aspect). The attraction of unbirthing centers upon the control gained over another creature: the unbirthed's freedom or movement is restricted, and their senses are (at best) muffled. The unbirthed is totally dependent upon the unbirther, relying on them for sustenance and oxygen.
*Another aspect of unbirth attractive to some is the age-regression scenario which may take place inside an unbirther's womb. Returned to the womb, an unbirthed creature grows younger; the unbirther may choose to rebirth their guest at any point or simply regress the unbirthed past the point of conception, effectively erasing their existence. There are many variations on this theme, some overlapping with the oviposition philia.
*A fourth group comprised of the overlap between fans of unbirth and those of vore lies in the endosomatophilia paraphilia, or attraction to fantasies involving complete encapsulation of a living thing within the body of another living thing. A second overlap between the two lies in absorbing or digesting an unbirthed creature: a form of genital vore.

Unbirthing media
Even though unbirthing art is not uncommon and may be found in the work of Mamabliss, Duo Radon, Mistarro and others, no single graphic artist stands out in this particular field. Within the furry writer community, some noted authors of such stories are Dream Weevil, Animakitty, Grolbek, JessKATT, Smokescale and Rochndil.
