The '''''Chattanooga Monthly Furmeet''''' is a monthly furmeet started by [[Joy The Bunny]] in 2007 to get mainly Chattanooga, Tennessee furs but also other tri-state area furs out of the woodwork and together into a community. It has helped bring together new friends and add a sense of belonging to many furs who felt alone because they didn't personally know any others. The group currently has about ten members and is growing quite large. They attempt to meet the first saturday of every month at a well known Chattanooga location. Fursuits are usually encouraged.

Later, SA member Vorpal Bunny, a resident of Texas, decided to pay the convention a visit, wearing a shirt that said "L33T LIEK JEFFK" and had a URL to the website. After being tipped off by furry and SA goon Labinnah, the con staff proceeded to catch and detain Vorpal Bunny and his pack of friends, forcing them to stay until they signed a form which stated they would not release anything to the Internet. This, of course, didn't happen.

The picture linked is not the actual picture at the con. It is a recollection of what the initial poster assumed she had left drawn again. The original displayed was left laying around in the dealers room and was given to con staff. The actual drawing had the grenade standing vertically, said "We are watching you!" and did not have the SA insignia anywhere. At the time, staff were perplexed and, although the logo of Something Awful is a handgrenade, it is not a universally recognized symbol of the website. Equally, this hotel was right across the street from Bergstrom International Airport. Had the drawing identified itself as coming from SA, it would have been seen as harmless.

One feature is called "The Awful Link of the Day," where a particularly awful web page is located and showcased. The websites featured range between horrendously created Tripod websites or the most bizarre of the bizarre forums on the Internet, and sometimes a random furry fetish artist's website or community, such as [[vore]] or [[babyfur]], will pop up as the target. It was probably inevitable that a Furry themed webpage would eventually fall prey to this. On July 16th, 2000, the web page of [[Tom Foxx]] was given the "Awful Link of the Day" treatment:

The page is long gone. Tom's site was more or less hammered with a combination of hits and hate mail in his guest book. The incident sparked allegations that the site ops were picking on Furries because they were gay. LowTax, the person responsible for the selection, stated that he chose the page because "it appeared to be written by a spastic 10 year old with ADD who was obsessed with becoming a magical humanoid fox and marrying another guy fox. If that's not a ripe candidate for an Awful Link, God help me, I don't know what is." He added: "And to all you furry-lovers out there: you can defend and rationalize and explain the act of pretending to be animals so you can have online sex with people all you want. The fact is that it makes for some hilarious websites, and prime ALOD links. If you don't want people making fun of your abnormal sexual fetishes, DON'T MAKE THEM PUBLIC."

The resulting discussion has, unfortunately, now expired from their forums.

On August 15, 2005, WikiFur was invaded by goons from Something Awful only a few days after the project had been announced. Despite the "disclaimer" contained in the [http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1642602 initial thread] in the Something Awful Forums,(DISCLAIMER: DO NOT INVADE THIS SHIT YOU FUCKERS. YOU KNOW THAT'S AGAINST THE RULES. JUST POINT AND LAUGH), vandalism ramped up when the link to the site was chosen as the SA ''Awful Link of the Day'' on the same day.

At one point, pages were being maliciously edited every 45 seconds. However, their attempt to stop WikiFur backfired; the actions of Something Awful actually increased the visibility of WikiFur, and this attracted more legitimate users than SA could bring vandals. In hindsight, their actions were actually beneficial.

It also proved to be a place where members of FYAD could come in and ridicule other furries for their own humor. However, after a few months, the furry goons took the forum for themselves and turned it into their own "Furry FYAD." Much to the disturbance of SA forum regulars, [[Sibe]] under an alias on an account purchased by JJcoolJ and several other furries began to post their collections of furry porn there. In mid-summer [[Richard "Lowtax" Kyanka|Lowtax]] deleted the forum. Sibe and several of the furries participating in the furry concentration camp were later banned for being a nuisance.

She then proceeded to ''akill'' those who had removed her from the channel and rejoined.

Numerous edits have been made to this page since the annoucement of WikiFur. These edits removed information from the page, and so were reverted. When I made the page, I tried to stick to the facts. So far, there has been no debate over them, but there is debate about whether or not they set Sibe in a fair light. There is also debate over whether his real name should be on this page.

A bunch of furries (and some Something Awful goons, I think) with the idea to just flood a channel came in, then stopped when the channel was set to "mute." After the flood stopped, one of the few responses was that it was Sibe's doing. That's just one example. Since people were looking for factual information regarding Sibe, I have provided the admins of this site with the actual photocopy scans (in PDF form) of Sibe's criminal record and other related litigation records.

On a note for some of the more privacy minded people who have commented on this disccussion. This information is freely available through the [[Wikipedia:Freedom_of_Information_Act_(United_States)|Freedom of Information Act of 1966]] and through the Privacy Act of 1974. Posting said information in a public forum or other press type format, such as this site, as a part of the [[Sibe]] article to present real and hard evidence of this person in question, is an activity which is specifically protected by the Constitution's first amendment and these two acts. Contrary to what some people have mentioned above, the posting of such information can not be legally constituted as slander because the name "Sibe" is considered a criminal alias for the purposes of identifying Mr. Ross Reddick, and because all information pertaining to such activities within his criminal record is factual. Slander must include some element of falsehood which is designed to ruin a person. Facts and truth are not slander no matter how unflattering they are. Additionally, since this information is directly pertinent to the furry community, it would be unfair in the interests of truth and neutrality to withhold or censor it. The facts should be allowed to speak for themselves, if they paint the person in a bad light then it falls upon the person in question to rectify their own actions.

Finally, if you are interested in more information about Mr. Reddick, then I suggest contacting the FBI and requesting a copy of his FBI file (Yes, one exists and is rather lengthy); contacting one of the groups whom is in currently in litigation with him, like [[Rabbit Valley Press]] or [[FurNation Press]]; or contacting the state/county that said litigation is under teh jurisdiction of.

Oh yeah, just an FYI after thought clarification on what I wrote as well: From the point of view of the law, there is a marked difference between an '''''Alias''''', and a '''''Fictional Name'''''. A fictional name is only used to refer to something which does not exist. However, a fictional name ceases being so when it is used to refer to a real person. This name association turns it into an alias, and aliases are '''not''' granted any legal right to privacy. The rationalle for placing aliases on public record and offering them no protection of privacy is to prevent the use of false or alternative names to commit acts of fraud. It is for this the very reason that a legal name change requires a court hearing in most states and one must swear under oath in front of a judge that the name change is not to defraud anyone or to commit future acts of fraud. If aliases were not covered like this, it would present an exploitable loop hole to commit fraud. Additionally, according to the law, the real world does not cease to exist just because someone's actions occur in some intangible virtual space such as IRC or Second Life. The person in the real world sitting behind the computer can be and often is held legally accountable for their actions, wether they be under a "fictional character name" or their real name. So, in closing, regardless of one's opinion on this, whether in agreement or not, it is important to understand that this precident is the one which is currently upheld within the United States judicial system. That's something to chew on and consider as a whole with regard to the whole 'name' rule for this site.

:I should point out that various furs do have valid, legitimate court orders of protection against Mr. Reddick. These furs do go to conventions, and the stipulations of several of their protection orders include "if Mr. Reddick is at the same location as the plaintiff, Mr. Reddick must leave."

The only one who does is Grey Fox Of Winter , AKA Loki Grey Coyote, aka Lonnie Wilson. That is the only "protection order" that has ever been served my person on a furrys behalf. The way Lonnie got this order was I emailed him, he responded with do not contact me anymore. Then I replied to that with "Why are you so mean?" He used that email discussion as grounds to get his anti-harassment order (less binding then a restraining order). The order will expire Feburary 2006. -Sibe

There's also an interesting interstate aspect of things: if a court order of protection is violated across or while across state lines, it carries 5+ years of jail time in a federal prison, minimum sentence.

Thus, if Mr. Reddick shows his face at a convention that I know one of these furs is at, I will be calling the FBI, and we'll be rid of him for a while.

An Anonymous user has added information to the article under history and external links which leads to a site that, according to the "new" information in the article, contains a .torrent file which in itself allows a Bit Torrent user to download about 9GB of copyrighted material like that from Sexyfur among other sites. The same changes in the article suggest that Sibe had been banned from LJ because he refused to remove that link from his journal. If that much is true and the supporting evidence is correct, then it may be wise to remove the potentially illegal link(s) from the page to avoid any potential legal trouble. At this time, I have done so, though leaving the "written" email links in place. Edit: On second thought, after reading the emails themselves, I find them a little dubious. They hold the real names and email addresses as well as phone numbers of a certain person, and if they are real, the people in question probably wouldn't want to be flooded with calls from heaven only knows how many people. The links so far are found on the thepiratebay website and are called "rabbit_mail", "rabbit_resp", and "rabbit_mail2" respectively and in order. =Relationship To The Fandom=
Kyle almost doesn't have one. To be fair, Kyle considers himself a part of the fandom. He has a hatred for it, though, which is very strange. It stems from his extreme hatred for furry porn.

This is his story.

== Begining Of Furriness ==
The story begins sometime in 1999 when he joined his friends in his first internet free form roleplay, a IRC chatroom called #Clan`Eve. His enjoyment of roleplay and webcomics such as 8 Bit Theater would lead to the discovery of Mega Man themed webcomic Bob And George where (thru a bizarre twist of events) he joined a sexual [[roleplay]] channel called #hentai. It all went downhill from there.

Kyle (Or, at this time, he was known as Stuntman21) had an extreme love for [[Sonic the Hedgehog]] games. Since most of the people in the channel #hentai did also, he began a Sonic RP channel called #mobius. During this time he met with other [[furs]] who visited the channel and some future members of the fandom who had yet to discover what it was all about.

Together, their first real introduction to furry was the [[VCL]] archive. It showed them that they weren't the only people out there who liked Sonic type creatures, who he learned were known as "[[anthropomorphic]]." Kyle's first furry character was a cat he named Kyle Krueger, after the infamous horror movie killer.

Around this time, Kyle and the #mobius gang were introduced to [[Furcadia]]. Kyle loved Furcadia, because it was a visual chat program as opposed to just text. He felt it helped a lot with RP and continued to log onto Furcadia even when his friends didn't. His IRL friends from #Clan`Eve also logged on Furcadia, causing more of a reason to stay.

== Furcadia Era ==
While on Furcadia, Kyle heard a lot of confusing terms he wouldn't understand until he was older such as [[yiff]] and [[twink]]. Kyle also was begining to get a lot more into adult art and cybersex due to always RPing in the "[[Furrabian Nights|adult area]]" of Furcadia. It was also because of Furcadia's species selection Kyle decided he'd make a much better [[rabbit]] character than a cat because everyone was a cat, and he wanted to be different. Keep in mind at the time in Kyle's life he shopped at [[Wikipedia:Hot Topic|Hot Topic]] and listened to [[Wikipedia:Slipknot|Slipknot]] to be edgey.

During this time, Kyle was made aware of the webcomic ''[[Jack]]'' which would be his first real outlet into the fandom. He loved Jack for it's horrorific nature and often violent storylines, being the little gothic wannabe he was.

He was introduced to Jouva the Skunk thru [[Plaguefox]]'s Gamecast radio show, and that's how he first joined [[Furnet]], in [[Jouva]]'s room [[DDRfurs (IRC)|#DDRfurs]].

== Furnet ==
The first bout of serious furry drama from Kyle came around this time. After a big gigantic fight with a lot of people on how to run his RP #mobius (telling everyone to keep sex in PM), Kyle switched IRC servers to Furnet. He joined a lot of the channels on Furnet and attempted to make friends with many people in the furry fandom. He learned of [[convention|cons]], yiff, [[MUCK]]s, and other such furry related ventures. He changed his character to a kangaroo, pretty much just because. He was having trouble finding a character that really suited him and changed yet again to a skunk, adapting the now infamous name 'Skunkboy Kyle'.

He had found a love for [[2|2 the Ranting Gryphon]] and began listening to his radio show. After a few weeks, he grew tired of what he percieved as a lack of original humor, although he did cause quite a stir lashing out on 2's message board.

He tried to find more furries in his area only to discover one. Kyle, experimental with his sexuality at the time, began to have feelings for the poor kid who had problems of his own and really didn't need some lovesick moron crying over him. This would also eventually lead to heckling by schoolmates, who discovered his sexuality on a [[deviantART]] post.

Of course, all of this drama angered Kyle, and being the immature moron he was, attacked pretty much everyone. He reclused away from the fandom. Around the time of his fandom hatred, he saw [[Fredryk Phox]]'s videos. Finding out there were other furries out there who hated the fandom intrigued him. Only it would turn out pretty painful on his end.

== #nonfurs ==
Kyle joined [[nonfurs (IRC)|#nonfurs]] and was pretty much hated immediately. He was immature and idiotic, often doing things in a sad attempt to be cool. Eventually, Kyle would be banned. Multiple times. From multiple "non furry" chatrooms like [[Something Awful|#safurs]] and the like.

Soon he was only updating his online journals and trying to find communities he liked. Attempting to find a new place to talk, he eventually tried Fredryk Phox's new chat room. While he was accepted at first, he didn't agree with others opinions, and was banned (again) multiple times and although a permanate ban was never set in, he knew he wasn't wanted there and left. Kyle's hatred for furry at this point had him change his name from Skunkboy Kyle to just Kyle, or "Oh, No! It's Kyle" after the Devo album of a simular name.

After trying #nonfurs again, Kyle joined [[Eat All Furries]], which ended horribly. At this point, he didn't know what to do. On one end, he felt half of furries couldn't keep their cock in their pants to have a decent conversation. On the other were the "non furs" who were often rude and abrasive.

== IRL Furry Drama ==
As luck would have it, Kyle was contacted by a fur in his area, whom he met and chatted with, and helped him find some other furs in the area. One person he ended up meeting was dating the old friend of Kyle's, whom he had in a bout of immaturity threatened to kill. Tension was there at first, but soon it leveled and the two became good friends. Unfortuntly, this caused lots of problems. The old aquantice of his was still upset with the things he said.

It wouldn't be the same for his new found [[ferret]] friend. Their relationship crumbled, and really haven't talked since.

== Post Graduation ==
After high school, Kyle became more cynical towards the fandom. Mainly because he had grown a nasty adversion to sex in furry. This would lead to multiple attacks on innoncent people, including trolling and floods. It also caused him to revert his sexuality, no longer wishing to be bisexual and instead considers himself heterosexual and represses homosexual urges. He would eventually attempt a rejoin of #nonfurs. His new "I don't care what you think" attitude held well in the community, and although he was hated, he was also tolerated by many of the members. Old friendships were rekindled, and the occassional bout of furry drama would start usually resulting in Kyle being kickbanned (again). Kyle was asked to leave multiple times, and it wasn't until a nasty rumor started about him that he would.

It was during this time that a skunk character who happened to be named Kyle was found on [[Tapestries MUCK]] by Shanerak. A meer coincedence, but the users of #nonfurs didn't care. They knew it wasn't him, but they didn't like him, so it didn't matter. They posted this [[wixxx]] which turned out to be filled with just about every sexual fetish you could think of off the top of your head. Not wanting to be associated with such filth, Kyle left on his on will.
