Jasen Traümer Tamiia (born John Longenecker, III, March 14, 1988 - December 31st, 2015) was a Furry Artist, Digital Musician, and working as an Emergency Medical Technician in Long Beach, California.

Fursona
Jasen Tamiia has a double fursona, each with similar design and contrasting dispositions. One of them, referred to as Reneé, is a transgendered homosexual male with a feminine build and obnoxious personality. The other, referred to as Remy, a heterosexual male of a sub-athletic build, tends to have a more contained and serious attitude.

Both are brown-orange anthropomorphic foxes, white secondary fur colors and black hair. Jasen Tamiia is typically clothed in the "Tamiia Uniform", a white polo shirt with black top part and sleeves with white hems and black pants and boots. Alternatively, Tamiia is commonly depicted in a black unbuttoned shirt with red undershirt, black pants and boots, occasionally accessorizing with black arm warmers and gloves.

Art and Music
Jasen Tamiia is primarily a Furry Artist, specializing in adult bondage art usually depicting his fursona Reneé in tight situations.

Tamiia also produces Electronic and Orchestral music under his own label: Tamiia Entertainment Company (formerly Black Spire Media Group) which is also an online store for his work and merchandise.
Making Music since 2004, Jasen Tamiia has released 8 albums to date, including two singles.

Tools of the Trade
Every drawing that Jasen Tamiia does almost always starts on a piece of paper attached to his clipboard that he has had since 2001, which has many decorative stickers on its back.
Most of Tamiia's Digital images are produced in Adobe Photoshop CS3, some of his highest quality works consist of nearly 100 layers or more and an average canvas size of 6000x8000 pixels. When it comes to traditional work, Tamiia uses Crayola or Prismacolor pencils and generic artist ink pens. Jasen Tamiia always draws on a very particular kind of laser printer paper: Letter size, 32lb, 98 brightness.

Jasen Tamiia also has a kind of affinity toward BIC mechanical pencils with yellow clips.

History
The Jasen Tamiia name was first established in 2001, the fursona was created in 2003 and changed into the fursona we know today initially in 2006.

2001-2003
Jasen Tamiia first started out as an artist primarily drawing Digimon Fanart. Jasen Tamiia was originally created as a Digimon fan character, the design for the "Tamiia Uniform" is a take-off of Rika Nonaka's broken-heart shirt from the series. Like many furries, Tamiia developed an infatuation with Renamon along with other behaviors of fandom. The most influential inspiration of Tamiia's Fursona was San Renard. In 2003 Tamiia started his deviantArt account and uploaded a new drawing every day for the first few weeks he was online, among these were the first images of RenaJase (RJ), which was regarded as a separate character at the time.

2004-2006
During this time the RenaJase Fursona became more and more associated with the Jasen Tamiia name than the original human persona. In 2006 Tamiia created the double fursona known today as Reneé and Remy, commonly referred to as "RJ Tamiia"

2007-2015
On April 7th, 2007, Jasen Tamiia started his Fur Affinity page. Since then, his interaction with the furry community increased exponentially, as well as his mature-rated work.

February 21st, 2008 is when Tamiia released the somewhat infamous EGO-MEME Spectacular a four-minute semi-animated short featuring various 4Chan and 7Chan memes where the characters were replaced by Jasen Tamiia's fursona.

In June 2008 Jasen Tamiia went to Anthrocon 2008.

In 2009 Jasen Tamiia was commissioned to do the artwork for the new Industrial Frost Album, Assimilated.

In June 2010, Tamiia began to write Devious Tangents.

In June 2011, Tamiia went to Anthrocon 2011.

The Tamiia Entertainment Company (formerly Black Spire Media Group) is a record label and media store selling primarily the work of Jasen Tamiia

Death
On January 2nd, reports have appeared on Fur Affinity about Jasen Tamiia's sudden disparition, after an active communication through livestreaming and updating his commission queue on website Trello. His last known online activity was of sharing a Imgur post on his Facebook page.

On January 3rd, several furs started posting messages of condolences on Jasen's Fur Affinity page. One of Jasen's close friends later got confirmation from Jasen's father that he passed away on December 31st 2015 "and did not suffer". His father, John Longenecker, later posted a thankful comment to Jasen's Facebook page for the support, and describing what happened as an "accident in the bathtub" on his own Facebook page.

Fandom involvement
Dan first heard of the fandom in late 2003, but paid little mind to it, soon forgetting about it. A few years later, while researching about hybridization for a school project, he stumbled upon the fandom again. This time something clicked, and kept his attention, as he spent more time researching it.

In early 2008, he found a furry community at Gamespot forums, which led him to Furaffinity. While still new to the fandom, be met a few other younger furs, who led him to Furry Teens Forums. Dan generally spends his time now on a few forums, Furaffinity, and the IRC chatrooms.

Fursonas and characters
Dan currently has one main fursona, with two alternates.

*Daniel is Dan’s main fursona. He is an orange tabby, who’s age and attitude fall in line with Dan.
*Li’l Dan is Dan’s cub fursona. He is generally playful and expressive. Like Daniel, he is a cat.

The icon itself came from Tod Wills' Icon Days on Livejournal. To deter requests of copywritten characters, users were threatened with getting a cat in a fez. With the matching fursona, Dan then requested the icon as such, leading to the well-known icon.

Meets and Conventions
At the end of 2010, Dan started taking a look into participating in meets and conventions.

To date, he has attended: [(S) Staff (V) Volunteer]

Furstivus

2012-01-05T05:00:25Z

Skirtandzy: Updated to make the events current.

Furstivus was a furry convention held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA over New Year's Weekend from December 30, 2011 to January 1, 2012.

Among other usual convention features and events, Furstivus presented Festivus holiday traditions including Feats of Strength and the Airing of Grievances. The website describes Furstivus as "A holiday furry convention."

The convention was put together on short notice due to the New Year's Furry Ball skipping New Year's 2012. The event may only happen once due to a desire not to compete with the New Year's Furry Ball in the future and the fact that New Year's Eve does not always fall on a weekend.

The con had an attendance of around 238 furs and around 55 fursuiters in the parade.

Skirtandzy:

Findra was a furry who found furry fandom in 1995, whilst a resident of Leicester, England. Moving to the USA, Findra became a MUCK wizard and server administrator for SpinDizzy, and Golden Realms MUCK (the latter in a non-executive role).

Findra was a regular member of the Further Confusion convention committee, acting as their Hotel Liaison for 2005, Executive Secretary for 2006, and Business Director for 2007. For 2008, Findra was again Executive Secretary as well as AAE's representative on the Ursa Major Awards committee. For 2009 Findra was Vice Chair, but on January 11th 2009 resigned from that position, as well as from the position of AAE's representative on the ALAA committee, citing differences with the Board of AAE on the Board's implementation of policy.

Findra was also a puppeteer, and a member of West.

Findra typically took the form of a rabbit, although she was previously known as a dolphin (hence the name).

Findra passed away on October 12, 2011.

The Prancing Skiltaire

2010-12-19T10:05:51Z

Skirtandzy:

LinkingSupporter

The Prancing Skiltaire is the given name of a private residence in Garden Grove, Orange County, California, owned by Mark Merlino. It is host to a group of furries that share their common interests in the furry fandom, and also have been host to a variety of public events in the past years: annual holiday get-togethers, ConFurence and Califur staff meetings, filking concerts, and more recently, has taken over the previous role of monthly parties that were hosted by the wildly popular Rick's Café Terrestrienne, which were just located a few blocks east until Rick and Tess Calhoun moved to the state of Washington, USA in mid 2005.

House party
Guests of the monthly house party are asked to provide their own food and munchies. A barbecue is available in the backyard.
Parties are usually held on the second Saturday of each month, but consult the schedule for special parties (e.g. New Year's, Halloween, Fourth of July, etc) or changes of plans.

History
The name of the house was modeled after traditional Old English tradition: e.g. "Red Lion Inn", "The Boar's Head", etc. which signifies a place of abode and commune to weary travelers. Skiltaire are a species created by Mark for a personally-made RPG.

The five-bedroom house is known for its primarily furry-themed decor. Most of the walls and shelving space is decked out with original and re-created animation cels of past furry movies, Japanese and Chinese manga, original artwork by various furry artists, an extensive collection of DVDs, CDs, music, and offbeat movies, a large collection of plushies, memorabilia, collectibles, statuettes, etc.

Tiger's Den BBS
Date of Operation: 1983-1996

Not to be confused with Tigerden Internet Services, Tiger's Den BBS was a furry-themed bulletin board service in the mid-to-late 80's before the popularization of the Internet. The servers were located in the far east wing of the house. As a result of this and Mark's professional skills as a networking engineer, the house was rigged with a more-than-adequate Ethernet network, which was ahead of its time for a personal residence before the popularization of residential LANs.

Firstlight Internet Services
The Skiltaire also has a history with Firstlight Internet Services. Firstlight was/is a full-service ISP, once primarily based out of Orange County. Neil Whelchel, its owner, was a long-time resident at the house, and consequently, partners in maintaining the communication networks provided at ConFurence, along with Tigerden Internet Services. Many of the residents of the house were given complimentary web space and email addresses, some of which are still in use today. The ISP was also host of The Pride Lands MUCK, an offshoot of The Lion King MUCK.

The name Firstlight was chosen for the area of TLK MUCK which hosted the Firstlight Pride, for its positioning on the far-eastern borders of the muck; it being the first light of day. The Pride was composed of many various species of animal; something which the staff of TLK MUCK objected to. The idea of, say, a honey badger being mated to a lioness seemed a horribly taboo idea for many of the players and thus they were subject of regular complaints to the administration. The members of the pride decided to create their own Lion King themed MUCK, and thus The Pride Lands MUCK was born.

Politics
Many rumors surround the house as to the social circumstances of its occupants. These rumors have deterred potential guests from attending past events held at the house. Many of these rumors are just that: rumors. The house is host to many furries and has been, in the past, commune for those furs either displaced from their homes and given residence for rent or exchange of apprenticeship in Mark's network communication company, Lantana, Ltd. The house's occupants are friendly and open to visitors. Like any other house, it has met its trials and tribulations. If anything, the house has been a service to the furry community, and continues to be so to this day.

Skirtandzy:

Daniel A. Skirtandzy, also known as DAS Kitteh (born 1992) is an orange tabby cat furry, currently living in Pennsylvania, USA.

Fandom involvement
He first heard of the fandom in late 2003, but did not fully discover and join it until early in 2008, first joining the furry community at Gamespot forums, then later discovering Furry Teens. While having spent most his time in the fandom on the computer, Dan is planning on attending conventions eventually.

Furry Nor'Easter
He is in the process of helping plan the Furry Nor'Easter, in New Jersey, alongside AragontheFox. Membership will be set to be local members of the Furry Teens community, who upon membership, will collectively be known as the UrbanFurz.

Fursonas
Dan- Dan is Daniel's main fursona. Dan is pretty relaxed, and enjoys just hanging out with friends or reading.

Li'l Dan- For his second anniversary in the fandom, Li'l Dan came to be. Li'l Dan is a young, playful 2 year old kitten.
He enjoys dressing up and role-playing.
Interests
Daniel likes to spend his time either outdoors, or working with computers. He enjoys chatting with his friends, most of whom are other furs. He is also a very active member on the Furry Teens Forums. While not very gifted at visual art, Dan spends time doing poetry, with most of it being furry related.

this is bullshit...i fucking made this and i cant even add to my thing...thats just rifuckingdicules

Removal of comment
"(Note: He is NOT the person using the same name on DevientArt....Yah he isnt a Transgender or a babyfur..Josh likes his dick..... and doesn't wear diapers..)"

Ok, I removed this comment, because dispite any disagreements between you and the other FalloutFox, this comment was unnecessary.
Not all babyfurs wear diapers, and not all transgendered people 'hate' the body parts they have. That being said, this comment was rude towards any one within those groups, not just your target. -Skirtandzy
