Mark Allen's Pet Project

2009-02-05T22:48:40Z

ShadoWolf800: /* Reception */

Mark Allen's Pet Project is a stand-up comedy show about furries, written and performed by British comedian Mark Allen. The show came about from Allen's attempts to understand the relationship between humans and animals. During his research, he learned about furries and decided to "infiltrate them."

Because of the wariness that most furries have with people outside the fandom, Allen bought himself a Dalmatian dog fursuit.

In his show, he talks about how he competed in a "Fursuit Olympics" and talks about, "learning about tolerance anew". His show also features film footage of his visits to furry activities.

On December 9, 2008, Allen wrote about furries in a sex-based article for London. The article focused primarily on fursuit sex, however noted that this was a minority in the fandom.

Reception
Chortle.co.uk gave the show 3 out of 5 stars saying, "Though it's all wrapped up a little too pat, his ultimate comparison of the pet-owner relationship to a hostage situation is exceptionally well delivered."

Fest were more critical, giving the show 2 out of 5 stars writing that, "Let's not be too harsh on Allen. He is a funny guy, who could handle traditional stand-up if he wanted. The question he has to ask himself is whether slideshow comedy is for him. For this type of show to work, its subject needs to be acutely observed, the transition between topics needs to be seamless, and there needs to be a constant stream of laugh out loud moments. Allen's presentation has none of this. His performance style is far too laid-back and sloppy. A disappointing show."

ShadoWolf800 is her current name for online use, but may go by darkwolf, TechWolf, or ShiningWolf. She always uses 7000-8000 or 800 on the back on her name (Except for TechWolf)

RL
She likes drawing, and Photoshop. She is usally found giving free avatars and enjoys improving her skills. She loves photography. She relised she was a furry on October, 2008, and is now very happy with the change.

Fursona
Her fursona Mina, is the result of a 12 year experiment during the Nolan War to create a . Her DNA was taken from Anubius, god of darkness. Having been the subject of horrendous experiments, she kills all but one of the scientists (Being Adam, because he was kind to her) and half the human population, but is "killed" by The Great Hero. She can't die by earthly means, only by weapons forged by the gods, and even then she cannot truly die, she is reincarnated with most memories intact.

RP
Since these would be god-moding, in RP's she is slightly impervious to projectiles, and can't teleport as far.

Weapons
She used to use a scythe named Bythos, but when it was destroyed in the battle with The Great Hero, she uses an energy scythe named Yuuan. She also uses origami weapons that are reinforced with mana (and sometimes elemental magic)

Darwin Phoenix (born October 20th, 1990) is a furry artist and writer who lives in Greater London in the United Kingdom.

Artwork
Darwin's artistic style varies, from Sonic style to Manga, cartoon to general Anthro. He displays his art on a number of online galleries, under a variety of names.

On deviantART, Darwin is known as Flaming Mongoose, which is the official name of his production label. "Flaming Mongoose" is used as his art signature, regardless of the username of the account he posts his work under, with the text "Flaming Mongoose Productions" lit up in flames.

The term comes from Darwin's love of the Halo game series, and how amusing he seems to find blowing up Mongoose vehicles in Halo 3.

Darwin is also known as Inflamed-Iron on Fur Affinity and Julie Su Tickler M16 on SheezyArt.

Fetish art
Darwin is well-known in these galleries for his foot fetish and tickling fetish artwork.

Darwin claims that the reason he finds these fetishes sexually arousing is because they are, in his own words, "The most innocent fetishes there are" and that they are in no way "disgusting" or "depraved", just an innocent arousal from being able to switch submission and domination in the blink of an eye, from being the submissive slave worshipping the subject's feet to dominating them with tickling and reducing them to a laughing wreck."fact

He is also known to have a mind control fetish, as he fantasizes about having a mindless slave.

Characters
Darwin's characters are numerous, and he has a wealth of original characters in his creations, spread out over many stories and fanfics. These are all set on the same alternate planet Earth.

The most noteable of his creations would be Seth Yaotzin, a red Sonic-style hedgehog, who is the current last descendant of Yaotzin (The Aztec God of Hell). Seth is an aggressive, emotional fighter, addicted to the adrenaline one feels in the heat of combat.

He uses fire magick cast from his hands, which Darwin justifies thus: "There is a tiny patch of skin on the palms of both Seth's hands, which vibrate at super-high speeds, creating friction with the hydrogen molecules in the air, and therefore generating a flame Seth can then manipulate as an attack form using a miniscule psychic channel in his mind."fact

Real life
In real life, Darwin is 75 inches tall, keeps his weight a secret and is a devoted LaVeyan Satanist.

Darwin's real name is only known to his closest of friends, but once he turns eighteen and moves away from home, he will legally change his name to Darwin Phoenix, stating "I hate my real name, it makes me sound like a Christian moron and I hate Christians."fact

Darwin prides himself on bearing the traditional 1980's fashion style "Emo" and dislikes anyone stereotyping it. He also harbors a deep hatred for Christians, Catholics, Muslims and Scientologists, for reasons stemming from his Satanic opinions and "Common rational" as he puts it.fact
