Hi,

We are currently making preparations for the next wiki software upgrade. While we expect this to have little or no effect on most wikis, it may cause some pages on this wiki to render poorly. To help reduce or eliminate these issues, please see [[wikia:Forum:Switching to the new parser|the Central Forums]] for more details.

Thanks - [[User:Sannse|sannse]]<staff /> ([[User talk:sannse|talk]]) 10:42, 11 February 2009 (UTC)

Hi all, just to let you know there is some work going on with the image server at the moment (updates and changes to improve it). This means there may be delays over the next couple of days if you update an existing image. If it doesn't show, just check back later. It may be up to 2 hours at first, going down to minutes after the first stage of work is done. Thanks -- [[User:Sannse|Sannse]] 13:04, 22 May 2007 (UTC) (Wikia community team)

Help:Googlemaps

2007-02-02T14:02:52Z

Sannse: help page for new extension

[[Image:Googlemap.png|right|350px|thumb|Google maps can be a useful way to enhance your article]]Google maps can be formatted in two ways:

# The code can be entered using the "edit map" shown on the edit pages. This is more of a "point and click" method, and allows you search arround the map for the view you want.
# The code can be entered directly. This is useful if you are comfortable with the wikimarkup and know the coordinates of the places you want to map.

== Using the editor's map ==

If you are not comfortable with the code above, or don't know the coordinates for the places you want to map, you can use the editor's map.

The editor's map is found on the edit page, and turned on by clicking the "show map" link above the edit box.

Once visible, the map can be moved to show the correct area by using the controls on the top right, or by clicking and dragging. The slider on the right can be used to zoom in.

To add the map:

# Ensure that your cursor is in the edit box at the point you want the map added.
# Move the editor's map until you can see the area you wish to map. Choose the center point of your map by double clicking on that point.
# Add a placemark at the center, by clicking your chosen center point once.
# Click the placemark once, to show the label. This shows two links "insert map centered here " and "add point here "
# Click "insert map centered here " to add the main code to the edit box.

To add placemarks

# Ensure that your cursor is in the edit box 'between the two <nowiki><googlemap></nowiki> tags:
<nowiki><googlemap ... >
|
</googlemap></nowiki>
# Move the editor's map until you can see the place you want to tag. Add a placemark there, by clicking the point once.
# Click the placemark once, to show the label. This shows two links "insert map centered here " and "add point here "
# Click "add point here " to add the main code to the edit box.
# The coordinates will be added to the edit box, and "label goes here" will be added after the coordinates. This can be changed to the text of your choice.

More placemarks can be added in the same way. Note that the placemarks will not stay on the edit map, only one pin is shown at any time. But all placemarks that you have added in this way will show when the map is saved.

Warning: Using preview closes the editor's map, and shows a preview of the map you have created. This map can't be used to add points; click "show map" again to show the editor's map. Although you can move the preview map, you can't add placemarks. And the editor's map will only show one placemark at a time.

== To add the code directly ==

Google maps start with the code <nowiki><googlemap> and end with </googlemap></nowiki>

The main coordinates are the center of the map. For example, to center a map on Berlin, you would take the coordinates latitude 52.523777, longitude 13.411896.

So the basic code would be:

<nowiki><googlemap lat="52.523777" lon="13.411896">

</googlemap></nowiki>

Any coordinates for placemarks on this map, need to go between the two basic start and end tags. So for example, the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church is at latitude 52.499683, longitude 13.333907. Giving the code:

<nowiki><googlemap lat="52.523777" lon="13.411896">
52.499683,13.333907,Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church
</googlemap></nowiki>

The text after the longitude becomes the placemark label. Wikilinks can be used here if you wish.

More placemarks can be added between the tags, each on it's own line:

<nowiki><googlemap lat="52.523777" lon="13.411896">
52.499683,13.333907,Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church
52.510019,13.369893,Berlin Philharmonie
</googlemap></nowiki>

The default zoom is too far out, so this can be adjusted within the first tag:

<nowiki><googlemap lat="52.523777" lon="13.411896" zoom="12">
52.499683,13.333907,Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church
52.510019,13.369893,Berlin Philharmonie
</googlemap></nowiki>

0 is the furthest away, 17 is the closest in.

Other aspects that can be adjusted in the same way are:

* width (in pixels; default is 740)
* height (in pixels; default is 600)
* type ("normal"/"map", "hybrid", or "satellite"; default is "hybrid")
* controls ("small", "medium" or "large")
* selector (show the map/hybrid/satellite selector? "yes" or "no"; default is "yes".)
* scale (show the distance scale? "yes" or "no"; default is "no".)
* units ("meters" or "miles"; default is "meters".)

So the final code might be:

<nowiki><googlemap lat="52.523777" lon="13.411896" zoom="12" width="500" height="400" type="map" controls="small">
52.499683,13.333907,Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church
52.510019,13.369893,Berlin Philharmonie
</googlemap></nowiki>

Which gives us the map:

<googlemap lat="52.523777" lon="13.411896" zoom="12" width="500" height="400" type="map" controls="small">
52.499683,13.333907,Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church
52.510019,13.369893,Berlin Philharmonie
</googlemap>

The easiest way to find coordinates is using a geocoder such as http://www.infosports.com/m/map.htm . Other resources can be found by searching for "free geocode" on Google or another search engine.

[[Image:AtomicMouse01.jpg|right|135px|''Atomic Mouse'' #1 by [[Al Fago]] (1953)]][[Image:SFAspotlight11.jpg|right|135px|[[Shanda Fantasy Arts Spotlight|''SFA Spotlight'']] #11: ''Atomic Mouse'' (2001)]]
'''''[[Atomic Mouse]]''''' is a pioneer of the [[funny animal]] [[comic]] genre that first appeared in March 1953 and continued for 54 issues through June 1963. The creation of the series is credited to cartoonist [[Al Fago]], but his brother Vince Fago invented the character and did many of the stories. ''Atomic Mouse'' was the first and most successful superhero series from [[Wikipedia:Charlton Comics|Charlton Comics]], running into the 1960's with original material and occasional reprinted runs thereafter into the 1970's.

''Atomic Mouse'' was briefly reprinted in the '80s by the [[Wikipedia:American Comics Group|American Comics Group]], and saw a revival through [[Shanda Fantasy Arts]], first appearing in [[Shanda Fantasy Arts Spotlight|''SFA Spotlight'']] #11 in May 2001, and getting his own series in September 2001. Vince Fago, the creator and original artist, gave his blessing and even contributed some art for the new version. The new comics juxtaposed reprints of Vince Fago's original series with all-new stories and art in which Atomic Mouse is "transported" from the classic comics into modern-day "reality" to protect the city of Rodentia. The series is currently on hiatus.

In the original comic, Atomic Mouse protected the citizens of Mouseville from the evil Count Gatto and his sidekick Shadow with the help of superpowers gained from [[Wikipedia:Uranium-235|U-235]] pills developed by Professor Invento.
In the new series, a planet of funny animals is threatened by a meteor and Professor LaSerne creates a machine that brings images to life, placing an ''Atomic Mouse'' comic in front of it. Atomic Mouse subsequently goes to the publishers of the comic, and they provide him a home and headquarters from which he protects the city of Rodentia from such villians as the Mustard King, Professor Pizarro and Super Rat. [[Image:Howloween06mascot.jpg|right|160px|Howloween 2006 banner with chainsaw-toting pink bunny rabbit mascot]]
'''[[Howloween]]''' is a Halloween-themed [[furmeet]] held in [[wikipedia:Coquitlam, British Columbia|Coquitlam]], [[wikipedia:British Columbia|British Columbia]], about 20 minutes east of [[wikipedia:Vancouver|Vancouver]], [[wikipedia:Canada|Canada]]. It will next be held on 28 October 2006, with [[fursuit]]-optional bowling the day after.

Howloween began in [[Howloween 2002|2002]] at the home of [[TJ_Wolf]] in [[Wikipedia:Burnaby, British Columbia|Burnaby]]. About 10 people attended the [[house party]], which featured modest events such as pizza and videos. [[Howloween 2003]] was the first to be held in a formal hotel setting. The event was featured in the [[wikipedia:CBC|CBC]] television program ''[http://fursuit.timduru.org/view/FursuitVideo/FurriesInTheNews/200401_CultureShock Culture Shock]''

In [[Howloween 2004|2004]], the meet was extended to two days and moved to the upstairs event area of the hotel. A fursuit of the new [[mascot]] - a pink [[bunny]] with a hockey mask and chainsaw - was introduced, and the [[Wikipedia:pumpkin carving|pumpkin carving]] contest was held for the first time. [[Howloween 2005|2005]] introduced the candy table, where [[furries]] pooled their money to buy a whole bunch of candy. Attendees who pre-registered this year received a Howloween T-shirt with their membership.

Pre-registration for [[Howloween 2006]] has already surpassed the record of the previous year. The cause of this increase is speculated to be the cancellation of [[Conifur Northwest 2006]]. The room block has been increased and the event now occupies two halls. ('''[[Howloween|more...]]''' - [http://www.howloween.org/ site])

:''This article is about the Japanese convention. There is also an [[:Category:Art archives|art archive]] called [[Transfur]].
[[Image:TransFurLogo.png|right|TransFur]]
とらんすふぁ ('''TransFur''', the "animal transformation event") is currently the sole [[furry fandom|furry]] [[convention]] in Japan. Held in the city of [[Wikipedia:Kawasaki, Kanagawa|Kawasaki]] since 2005, the event aspires to cover the full spectrum of furry activities. It also appeals to related interests such as [[dragon]] fandom and has a strong tradition of [[fursuit]]ing.

==History==
====1st TransFur====
The first convention was held in Tokyo at the [http://www.ys-tokyobay.co.jp/ BumB "sports and culture hotel"] on 7 May 2005. It was attended by nearly 90 people.

====2nd TransFur====
The second convention was held in the city of [[Wikipedia:Kawasaki, Kanagawa|Kawasaki, Kanagawa]] on 3 December 2005 with about 120 attendees.

====3rd TransFur====
The third convention was held in exhibition room 4F of the Kawasaki City Industrial Promotion Hall on 4 May 2006 with about 170 attendees.

====4th TransFur====
The fourth convention is scheduled to be held at the same location on 3 December 2006.

UK (IRC)

Sannse: Reverted edits by 87.106.27.17 (Talk); changed back to last version by Seanmcelroy

'''<nowiki>#uk</nowiki>''' is an [[IRC]] channel for furries who either live in or are interested in the United Kingdom. The channel is generally a non-roleplay channel for furs in the area to get to know each other. The channel exists on both [[FurNet (IRC)|FurNet]] and [[AnthroChat]]. The FurNet channel often has a high attendance (in excess of 30 at any time) and is regularily one of the 10 most popular channels on the network.

==History (FurNet)==

Officially a permanent channel on the [[YiffNet]] network in 1999, registered by [[SlyCat]] after the channel was deemed officially popular enough to warrant permanent residence of the [[FurServ]] bot.

After some historical dispute, some furs split from #UK to form [[northUKfurs (IRC)|#northUKfurs]], primarily for the furs who live in the northern areas of the country.

ConFurence Group

2006-10-28T14:11:56Z

Sannse: Reverted edits by 87.106.27.17 (Talk); changed back to last version by Darrelx

'''The ConFurence Group''' was formed in 1999 to be the business entity behind [[ConFurence 11]] and later events, after [[convention]] founder [[Mark Merlino]] stepped down as [[convention chairman]] and transferred the rights to the "[[ConFurence]]" name to longtime member and staffer [[Darrel Exline]] for $1. Merlino retained the rights and merchandise for all earlier events.

Darrel then created an umbrella company called the ConFurence Group to organize several [[furry conventions]], including:
*[[ConFurence]] (Burbank, California)
*[[CritterConDiego]] (San Diego, California)
*[[ZonieCon]] (Tucson, Arizona)

The ConFurence Group registered the term ''ConFurence'' and the ''paw-on-globe logo'' as service marks with the State of California in 1999. They later registered the term "ConFurence" as a service mark with the [[Wikipedia:USPTO|U.S. Patent and Trademark Office]] in January of 2002, and was issued the service mark registration in October of that same year.

The ConFurence Group intended to [[Wikipedia:Incorporation (business)|incorporate]], but because this didn't happen prior to an obvious personal debt looming over the convention, incorporation would have been easily unveiled as an attempt by Darrel to escape personal financial liability. Therefore, The ConFurence Group remains a sole proprietership of Darrel, who personally covered the $60,000 debt incurred by ConFurence 11 through [[ConFurence 2003]].

With declining attendance and mounting costs, Darrel announced the end of operations after [[ConFurence 2003]], though he has retained the name for the promotion of [[anthropomorphic]] fandom. In 2004, ConFurence co-founders Mark Merlino and [[Rod O'Riley]] would team up with [[AlohaWolf|Robert "AlohaWolf" Johnson Jr.]] to establish [[Califur]] as the new furry convention of Southern California.

'''''No One´s Land''''' is a medieval series based on a Role Playing Games ([[RPG]]) style created by [[Ricardo Canheta]]. It tells the story of two races fighting each other: the [[Draconians]] and the [[Winged Jaguars]].

== Plot summary ==

The Winged Jaguars think they´re angels sent by God to get Earth rid of the devil creatures known as the Draconians. The Draconians are a new kind of [[dragon]] that can communicate with other living beings; they walk on two feet instead of four. They´re bound to the Nature itself directly and if their [[species]] disappear for some reason, then so do all the rest of the environment. But the Winged Jaguars (that aren´t angels at all) don´t care about that and carry on with their task to eliminate all of the devils. Little do the Jaguars know that they´re created by a powerful [[witch]] that want to change life our way of life as we know it and transform Earth in her particular world where she will rule.

== Characters ==

Some of the ''[[Balls of Furr]]'' [[characters]] play some parts in this series as important pieces of the game: [[Cado]] as Bulls Eye, [[Ani]] as Enchantment, [[Pat]] as Velocity and [[Ric]] as Iron Claws.
''No One´s Land'' still has some guests from other artists such as Lara from [http://www.danielcat.pt.vu/ Daniel Vasco] from Portugal and Ivan from [http://www.furnation.com/my_samoied Samoied] from Brazil.

[[Image:Tina-uniform.JPG|thumb|right|Tina Hopster]]
A member of the [[Mecharoos]] in [[Shawntae Howard]]'s ''[[Extinctioners]]'' comic, Tina Hopster is the red-headed party girl of the MechaRoos (and a definite tomboy, much like her teammate Tisha). She can drink, fight, and party with the best. She is also [[Illaroo Hopster|Illaroo]]'s lover, though due to their on-and-off relationship, the two do not consider themselves committed enough to call themselves pre-mates (boyfriend/girlfriend) yet. Her preferred weapons are the sai, and her hybrid power is that of super-enhanced agility and flexibility (which Illy really likes).

Nothingkat.com

Sannse: Reverted edits by 87.106.27.17 (Talk); changed back to last version by GreenReaper

[[Image:Nothingkat.png|right|nothingkat.com]]

'''nothingkat.com''' is a website which parodies and comments on the [[furry fandom]] from a jaded insider's point of view. With a little mix of down-to-earth commentary and a little bit of poking fun, the site is a mixed pleasure for those who want an insightful feel as to how the fandom runs.

* '''Address''': http://nothingkat.com
* '''Webmaster''': [[nothingkat]]
* '''Operational dates''':
:August 17, 2003 - October 11, 2005
:November 6, 2005 - Present

The website started in 2003 as a small piece-of-mind section of the internet on furry and non-furry related topics. As time went on, it focused mostly on broad sections of the furry fandom. Later that year (2003), an article about [[FurNation]] prompted the owners of FurNation to have nothingkat.com shut down and even attempted to take the owner to court for libel. A compromise was reached and the article is only archived in various places.

The website was taken down in October, 2005, due to a professed loss of interest by Nothingkat; it was re-launched less than a month later, but without other hosted websites and the forum.

Little has been done to advertise this site and it is usually heard of through word of mouth. As of March 2006, a few projects came out of the closet and added to the collection of things previously found on the website such as the short film "A Day With David" which parodies a day in the life of [[David Hopkins]], creator of the online comic [[Jack]].

nothingkat himself has been targeted as being [[Anti-furries|Anti-fur]], a [[Burned Furs|Burned Fur]], or any other outright antifurry movement or attitude for having a negative viewpoint of the fandom. Nothingkat admits to not being extremely liberal with his ideas of [[zoophilia]] and [[babyfur]]s and claims to be merely expressing himself in a non-violent manner.

nothingkat.com is just one out of a few antifur websites out there "exposing the so-called filth within the fandom". While these articles are pretty detailed about the furry fandom, it is not aimed at those who have no prior knowledge to furries. Instead, it is aimed at those who have a great understanding of how the fandom works and better yet, who is who and what is what. nothingkat.com does not try to be a center for knowledge of furries for beginners.

Faux Pas

2006-10-28T14:11:37Z

Sannse: Reverted edits by 87.106.27.17 (Talk); changed back to last version by Dmuth

[[image:Fp-but1.jpg|right]]
'''''Faux Pas''''' (pronounced "fox paws") is a comic strip created by [[Robert Carspecken|Robert]] and [[Margaret Carspecken]] of R&M Creative Endeavors. The name is a play on the French phrase ''[[Wikipedia:faux pas|faux pas]]'', a social blunder (literally, false step), reflecting the demeanor of the strip's characters. The central characters are [[red fox]]es [[Randy Fox (character)|Randy]] and [[Cindy Fox|Cindy]].

{{rating-g-button2}}
''Faux Pas'' originally appeared in newspaper spot illustrations and one-panel gags in [[Wikipedia:Boulder, Colorado|Boulder, Colorado]] in the late 1970's. The strips and various incarnations of the characters have appeared in newspapers, newsletters, [[fanzine]]s, comic books, [[APA]]s, and art shows since then, but it wasn't until 2001 that they were organized into a coherent series, redrawn by the artists, although utilizing scripts that had been written in the 1980's.

A book based on the comic was published in October 2003 by [[Plan Nine Publishing]], and while it sold well while it was in print, the book's run was plagued by printing and production problems and was frequently out of stock. The Carspeckens' contract with Plan Nine ended in September 2005, and the book is now out of print.

''Faux Pas'' won the 2005 [[Ursa Major Award]] for "Best Anthropomorphic Comic Strip".

== Plot summary ==

The comic takes place at the mythical [[Green Mountain Studio Animals]], a run-down farm in the [[Wikipedia:Rocky Mountains|Rocky Mountains]] in [[Wikipedia:Colorado|Colorado]]. Randy and the majority of his friends there are semi-retired animal actors. Although the [[humans]] in the series are rarely seen, the animals know that it is to their owners that they owe their existence. The animal characters are [[anthropomorphic]] in the sense of [[talking animal|having human language]] and intelligence, but are non-[[bipedal]], effectively similar in anatomy to "normal" animals.
[[Image:FauxPas588-1.png|right]]
'''Randy''' started his life in a pet shop, mistaken for a [[dog]] with an odd odor. He soon ended up living at (GMSA) alongside the other animals who were regularly auditioned for a variety of public appearances, such as photos, movies, and television. In spite of being raised in captivity, he found himself in a series of odd predicaments arising from the confusion over his species. He learned to rely on the friendship of some of other animals, including '''[[Myrtle DeHen]]''', the ditzy secretary [[chicken|hen]]. But when GMSA was sold to new owners, Randy found himself sharing the place with dozens of [[cat]]s, led by '''[[Kira Cat]]''', who took him for a big-time cat-toy, even though he was sometimes helped out by the other animal residents.
[[Image:FauxPas588-2.png|right]]
Then '''Cindy''' entered the picture. As a wild-born [[vixen]], she met Randy (while he was on a walk one day with Myrtle in tow), and was soon taken for the tamest ride of her life, finding how Randy lives being raised by [[human]]s. Cindy was attracted to Randy, but it turned be a rather odd, funny relationship. Having grown up in the wild where she learned to rely on her natural instincts, Cindy would find it a crazy challenge to get acquainted and develop friendships with the fellow animal residents at GMSA (who until then she would have regarded as meals), all to please Randy. For his part, Randy makes a deal with the [[cat]]s, led by [[Kira Cat|Kira]], to leave Cindy alone, unaware that Cindy is quite capable of dealing with them on her own.

Cindy finds the relationship quite rewarding as opportunities arise from time to time for Randy to share with her some of the things that happen at GMSA. In return, Cindy teaches Randy and some of the others how to use their instincts to help them survive in the wilderness. As confusing as it may be living wild and domesticated, there's never a dull moment with either of these foxes. One question that remains unanswered is whether they'll ever mate and have fox-kits. However, that matter may be brought to the forefront by the appearance of Cindy's sneaky and seductive cousin '''[[Dusk Fox|Dusk]]''', who proves to be a villain of sorts!

Other characters are '''[[StuRabbit|Stu]]''' and '''[[Eddie Rabbit]]''', '''[[Brisbane Wallaroo]]''', '''[[Arthur Horse]]''', and numerous others.

'''Albedo: The Role-Playing Game''' is a pen-and-paper [[roleplaying game]] based on the [[Erma Felna: EDF|Erma Felna storyline]] of [[Albedo Anthropomorphics]].

==First Edition==
The original 1988 edition of the Albedo RPG was designed by [[Paul Kidd]], illustrated and edited by [[Steve Gallacci]], and published by [[Thoughts & Images]]. It was packaged as a boxed set of softcover booklets:
* Book 1: Player's Manual (40pp) setting character generation rules
* Book 2: Equipment Description (32pp) equipment and vehicle combat rules
* Book 3: Referee's Manual (40pp) combat and task resolution
* Sample scenarios (16pp): "The Catapult", "Troubles on Tlakatan", and "The Party"

The distinctive feel of the game arose from two mechanical considerations. Firstly, the lethality of the combat system tended to make gunplay frightening rather than recreational; players would rarely seek out violence for its intrinsic entertainment value. Secondly, psychological as well as physical capabilities were captured in game mechanics; in both combat and social situations, a character's nerve and motivation could be as important as skills and equipment.

==Second Edition==
A second edition by [[Craig Hilton]] and [[Paul Kidd]] was published in 1993 by [http://www.chessex.com/ Chessex]. The new edition was packaged as a single 176-page paperback. Rules changes from the first edition included the generation of character attributes by point-allocation rather than by random roll.

==Supplementary Material==
Various support materials for the second edition were released by Chessex:
* ''Zho-Chaka'', a 32-page planet-based scenario published in 1994
* ''The Drift'', a 64-page space-based scenario published in 1994
* The ''Albedo Ship Sourcebook'', published in 1995

The gaming magazine ''Vortext'' printed several articles by [[Steve Gallacci]] about the Albedo setting:
* "EDF Uniform Insignia" in ''Vortext'' #3
* "Getting from Here to There" in ''Vortext'' #7, describing jump drive technology

== History ==

FluffMUCK was was started at a time when [[FurryMUCK]] was very laggy, so quickly obtained an established [[player]] base. In late 1996, FluffMUCK had a mass influx of [[Sonic the Hedgehog]] fans, primarily due to the closed policy of the large Sonic [[TinyPlot]] in [[Sociopolitical Ramifications]] (run by [[Raven]]). They started their own competing TinyPlot there, initially roleplaying in public areas until they could complete their own area, and this quickly snowballed, bringing even more Sonic fans to Fluff, to the point where they became a significant majority for some time. The TP throughout its existence was victim to a variety of drama, most of which pertaining to [[wikipedia:Powergaming|powergaming]] from other players, as well as real life relationship troubles and other circumstances. With the creation of Sonic-themed MUCK's such as [[Mobius]] and [[ChaosMUCK]], the majority of the Sonic community left Fluff, leaving a smaller userbase. Mobius was henceforth recycled, and anyone trying to go there would get this amusing message, installed by the owner of the entrance:

Mobius went kaboom. Go away. Sonic died. Sally died, too. Especially
Sally. Just please go away. There's nothing to see here. It is better off
forgotten.

== FluffMUCK today ==

Today, FluffMUCK is a primarily social MUCK with a small but loyal userbase remaining. The system has had several shutdown scares, but seems stable for the time being. From 2002 through 2005 FluffMUCK had a policy of only allowing new accounts from those who could obtain a reference from two existing players who had been there over six months, which apparently solved many administration headaches. It is now open to all new users once more. Currently, Zorin runs the system pretty much on his own, since it has become small enough to no longer need a large administration.

Zaftig

Sannse: Reverted edits by 68.156.227.251 (Talk); changed back to last version by Tomhowling

<b>Zaftig</b> comes from a Yiddish term meaning 'pleasantly plump.'

In the furry fandom, it means a character who is healthily overweight --i.e., they are on the part of the right side of the bell curve that's closest to the center. Zaftig is rarely used to describe a [[fatfur]], which is a character who is massively overweight.

After the demise of [[SOF]], the '''PVF''' ('''Plain Vanilla Furs'''), appeared in the [[furry]] scene. Still considered to be more of a conservatism than [[anti-furry]] group, it was created in 1996 by [[Sidian]], and it was a perfect carbon copy of the [[SOF]]'s ideologies. It lasted only one year.

This group came to be at almost the same time as the '''"Take Back Our [[furry fandom|Fandom]]!"''' ('''[[TBOF]]''') Movement.

*'''Website:''' http://www.altermeta.net/
*'''Beta Website for the redesign:''' http://altermeta.titanium-spork.com/index.php

Due to personal reasons, all the prior comics were scrapped in favor of an entirely new plot which will be revealed at a later date. ''Altermeta'' is also known for its active community and rich backstory, and has an active IRC chat room over at [[SorceryNet]]. It is written by [[Casey Young]].

== Plot ==

{{spoiler}}

The first story involved the lives of everyday teenage Kuvrahks on their average day. Later on in the series, a element of mystery was added via a shower [[Wikipedia:loofah|loofah]] which talked only to Sasha, one of the main characters. Sasha, in order to cure him of this pest, took him to the local Rennaisance fair to visit a friend's aunt who knew of such objects.
