The VCL (previously short for the Velan Central Library, popularly the Vixen Controlled Library) is an archive of pictures and stories centered around anthropomorphic (mainly "furry") characters. It contains over 320,000 images On average, around 40 images are uploaded most days, or 15,000 a year; their quality varies widely. A significant portion of the VCL's content is of an adult nature.

Structure
The archive's structure is dynamic, with pages in index format with sub-indices and directories. The new art page can be listed by order of the date they were uploaded, or alphabetically, with each page holding a limit of thirty image thumbnails per page. Indices are updated every half-hour or so. The individual directories of the artists are similarly arranged.

To help browse new additions by the site's thousands of artists, VCL users can use the the VCL Sieve. The Sieve is a filtration system which allows browsers of the site to pick-and-choose those artsts they want to see and those they do not. The act of filtering on VCL is referred to as "skulling". The term reflects the site's block button, a small graphic image of a skull over a black semi-circle.

History
The site was founded by Brian W. Antoine as the Velan Central Library - initially, just his private art archive as an FTP site, named after Velar, a location from The Family nas Kan stories. Around 1999, a mirror run by the Ctrl-C computer club opened at the University of Linköping in Sweden, to which the vast majority of traffic was sent.

In January 2005, the Swedish mirror had to be taken down at short notice due to concerns over "objectionable content". Distribution was temporarily continued using a combination of the existing U.S. mirror and Coral cache network, but two more U.S. sites were created a month later. As of January 2008, the Swedish server still hosts the VCL Forums.

Funding
VCL is supported by donations and by Ch'marr. Those who donate receive a button.

VCL began displaying ads through Project Wonderful in July 2008.

Salomus: Creation of the article

Salomus is a fanfiction, written by Sean Gladden, which is currently in its eleventh chapter. Still in a fledgeling state, it is the first Last Res0rt fanfiction, and follows the events of the titular character, Salomus, as he tries to adjust to being in a new time period after a freak accident sends him into the year 4053 (the comic's setting). It runs nearly parallel to the comic's continuity, instead focusing on the Salomus and his interactions with the comic protagonist's sister, Sudoku, and (to a lesser degree) the rest of the Forte family.

Due to a mistake made during its initial chapters, it actually takes place a few months later than the comic (as opposed to the intention of being entirely parallel).

While the story does include some hints of intimacy, it is not an erotic fanfic. All romantic and intimate moments are handled with discretion.

Salomus: Creation of page

Introduction
Hi there! You've reached my personal page. I am Salomus. I am an aspiring young artist, and while I do explore other themes and styles, I am predominantly an anthro atrist. I am also a furry writer, and I have created the very first Last Res0rt fan fiction, Salomus, which takes place in the near future of the comic, separated by a matter of mere months. Most of my works relate to said story, including a few of the titular character, who also doubles as my fursona.

I don't really have much to say for now, though I do encourage you to check out my dA gallery.
It's not much, but it'll give you an idea of what I generally work with. I have also recently created a Fur Affinity account.

My other accounts
* deviantART: http://supersegafan.deviantart.com/gallery (primary art community, where most of my art will be found first)
* Salomus-specific art: http://supersegafan.deviantart.com/gallery/29018709 (90% of my current art is here)
* FurAffinity: http://furaffinity.net/user/Salomus (currently empty, will be re-posting my dA stuff there soon)
