Salmir Aeon (born June 15) is a furry artist who lives in Manchester, England.

When explaining himself, Salmir describes himself as a "Jack of All Trades, Master of None." He draws cartoons on both his deviantART and FurAffinity accounts. An avid gamer, Salmir presents weekly video game walkthroughs on YouTube, called "Salmir Aeon Plays..."

Character
Salmir's character is a neko (half human, half cat). He is mainly human, apart from his ears, eyes, feet, and tail, which are all feline. His hair/fur colour is a darkest blue, and his cat-like eyes are a lime green. He is mostly seen wearing a plain coloured t-shirt and baggy trousers.

History
Pre-fur
The creation of the name "Salmir Aeon" came from when Salmir and his friend were creating names for a fantasy, Discworld-like land. The combination of Sal and Mir gave him a name, which he then used as a name for his first World of Warcraft character. Aeon was added years later, when Salmir signed up to Second Life on January 31, 2008.

Salmir discovered the furry fandom after watching videos from Silentwulf, and joining his forum. Initially not interested in being part of the fandom (because of other friends who found the furry fandom not to their liking), he nevertheless "sort of" attended 2008 with Silentwulf, Zaishi Mai, Alexander Grey, and several others from the Silentwulf Forum. (He was present but did not actually enter the con.)

Becoming neko
In late 2009/early 2010, Salmir Aeon changed his character to be half human, half feline (or Neko). Salmir's reasoning was that he had placed himself in the center of two groups. One group contained the furry friends - all artists, musicians and film-makers alike - he had made through the Silentwulf Forum and Second Life. The other group contained his human friends, who all saw furries in a "bad light" and disliked them. He wanted to show his respect to his furry friends, but was not prepared to go all the way, so he created his half-human neko character.
