The style is leaned more to the Slice of Life category but would often use themes of black comedy as well as fourth wall break humor. The strip is a reboot of Elmer's previous comic A Furry Future.

Premise
The comic is set in Phoenix, Arizona and is about four friends, Ricky, Bryan, Kaylee and Sparky living in an apartment complex ran by their odd landlord, Mr.Burns.

Characters
Main Protagonists
* Richard "Ricky" Roofus - A skunk and the main protagonist of the series. Ricky is a wannabe comedian and is also known for his odd sense of humor and pulling wise cracks on his friends.

* Bryan Dautrive - The leading human character, and the deuteragonist of the series. Bryan is Ricky's best friend from high school, who works as a white-collar office worker. He is known best for his ignorant personality, as well as an unhealthy alcohol addiction and short temper.

* Kaylee Bronson - A female otter who is a friend of Ricky and Bryan, as they known each other since college. Kaylee works as a second-grade school teacher, which is a stressful job for her as the students would often rebel against her.

* Sarah "Sparky" Raccoon - A female raccoon who is a good friend and neighbor to Ricky. Sparky is an odd, ditzy, and least intelligent albeit sweet-natured and an aspiring rock musician. She has a fondness for her electric guitar. She is often the one making fourth wall jokes, and her stupidity constantly annoys Bryan. It is implied that Sparky was named after Charles Schulz.

Secondary Characters
* Clint Burns -The landlord of the apartment complex, Ricky and his friends live in. He has been known to be a megalomaniac and sometimes seen to be rude and unpleasant.

* Joey Simpson -A silver fox and one of Kaylee's students. He was raised by his two lesbian mothers, and he hangs out with his best friend, Keith. Joey's last name comes from [[W:Dana Simpson|D.C. He is the most rebellious student in Kaylee's class, often causing trouble with Joey. Keith is also an aspiring artist.

* Rebecca "Becky" Bronson -Kaylee's beloved niece. After her parents divorced she has been sent to live with her aunt in Arizona. Becky is a seemingly innocent child and has very little common sense.

* Melissa Burns -Clint's 4th wife and Keith's mother.

*Fox-Jake The fursona of the artist Jacob Elmer who appears self-reflexively as an arctic fox in the strip. Only occasionally appears when Sparky makes a fourth wall joke.

Influences
The comic's style and humor are inspired by several webcomics and comic strips. After several failed attempts to take him down, a resistance fighter, Morag Keiko “Maggie” Geddes, has no choice but to travel back in time before his full conquest.

She has now assembled a new team of people, most of whom were holding jobs in an Earthbound courier. But McLane (in an era before his uprising) has already formed a team known as “The Knight of McLane” and they have already begun to put their plan into action. It is up to Maggie to foil his plots in order to stop his uprising, while discovering some troubling secrets.

It is part of the Tails from the Federation collection of science fantasy/space opera stories, set in the Universe, which also includes The Dynamite Twins and Friends.

The series focuses on the misadventures of a space pirate raccoon, Captain Jaws MacTaggart, a former soldier in the Stellar Federation, who has now turned her back on her superiors, and now fights against them in her spaceship, the Stellar Typhoon.

Assisting Jaws in her quest against the Federation are a crew of unorthodox misfits: Leslie Kennedy, a tough squirrel with a dark past; a cat known only as Blackmask, a lazy yet streetwise hood-cat; and Kyoko Mori, the Typhoon's shy and softly spoken Chief Engineer.
Fighting against Jaws and her crew are the forces of the Stellar Federation, led by Commander Barratt, a grey wolf who was Jaws' former superior, and his meek vulpine subordinate, Captain Mandarin. They fight against Jaws in their battlecruiser, the Oshan Akuma-and almost never win, thanks to Jaws' competence and their own lack thereof.

The story was created by young novelist Craig Black and was developed by Jordann William Edwards, the executive producer of the Tails franchise (and architect of ColorWorld),
and Jake Elmer, the lead artist and illustrator of the series. Elizabeth Mogan contributes to the overall Tails as another executive producer, whereas Douglas Marshall is the science contributor. A spin-off of this series, Bloody Cutlass, was created by Edwards and Mogan to expand upon the character of Darkblade, a former antagonist of this series. It’s also been confirmed that both Elmer and Edwards are working of a sequel, The Lumarions, which focuses on a younger crew battling a ruthless pirate from the Midori empire.

Characters
Protagonists
* Captain Jaws MacTaggart (Keiko Kaizoku) is a Japanese female Raccoon and captain of the Stellar Typhoon and its crew. Jaws was a former Captain in the Stellar Federation Military Police, she was dishonourably discharged and exiled after an event that she doesn't like to talk about. Since then, she has turned her back on the Federation, and thus instigated a long and hard battle against her former commander. She is also a semi-cyborg, due to an artificial robotic arm received after a bout with Midori.

* Sgt. Leslie Kennedy is a a British red squirrel and the loyal First Mate to Captain Jaws MacTaggart. She is a red squirrel, and had also worked under Jaws in the Military Police. After Jaws was stripped of her command and discharged, Leslie deserted, and was recruited into a new position as the First Mate on the Stellar Typhoon. Leslie is rather meek, cold and stoic on the outside. However, she is constantly haunted by memories of her past, and often wishes she could redeem herself. Her experience on the battlefield proves invaluable to Jaws and the crew of the Stellar Typhoon. However, it's also left her rather shaken, and the crew respect that enough to not challenge or question her about what happened back then. Though she is well respected by her fellow crew mates, Leslie has few actual friends among them, the most notable of which is Kyoko Mori. However, it's also been hinted that she has a fondness for Alasdair Geddes. According to Jacob Elmer, Leslie is somewhat similar to "Dirty Harry" due to her "bad ass" persona and the fact that she carries Smith & Wesson Revolvers as her main sidearms.

* Blackmask is a yellow cat and Jaws' Second Mate, and the Stellar Typhoon's main weapons expert. She is a lazy yet streetwise hood-cat from East Oakland, California, Earth. After being raised in a single-parent household (her biological father was one of three "baby daddies"), she became a member of various street gangs, and this has helped her crewmates enormously in their battle against the Stellar Federation. Blackmask is lazy and annoying, and some of the crew members hardly get along with her, but she is somewhat friendly. Her lifestyle was greatly influenced by hip hop, and especially punk rock.

* Kyoko Mori a Japanese female raccoon, Jaws' chief engineer and her niece. she is the very shy and sweetly spoken and is quite proficient technologically, and she can usually be found tinkering with some contraption of her design. However, the nature of her work means that Kyoko tends to shut herself away from the world at large. She is best friends with Leslie and is deeply in love with Alasdair.

* Alasdair Geddes a Scottish male raccoon and a gypsy who's had his wings clipped (in his own words), Alasdair Geddes is the assistant Chief Engineer on the Typhoon. First coming to the Typhoon to escape his dreary existence on the planet Procyon VI, it is through Alasdair's eyes that we are first introduced to Jaws and her universe. Alasdair is one of the very few males in the Stellar Typhoon's predominantly female crew of pirates. However, this hasn't proven to be any trouble for him, as he's quite capable of working around the distractions of his colleagues. In fact, he's actually in a romantic relationship with his superior, chief engineer Kyoko Mori. He also has a passion for rock music and playing guitar.

Antagonists
* Commander Zeus Barratt is a Grey wolf and is the primary antagonist of the series, being the chosen emissary for the Stellar Federation, and in command of the battlecruiser Oshan Akuma (Ocean Demon). Barratt is proud, ruthless and slightly unstable mentally, but is nonetheless fiercely devoted to the service of the Stellar Federation. He repentantly tries fights Jaws and her crew trying to place them behind bars for their acts of Piracy, but fails in the process.

* Princess Midori Also known as the Green Fox, she is the ruler of the Midori Empire, and one of the major antagonists of the series. Like Commander Barratt, she is after Jaws, but she has one ultimate goal in mind: to gain omnipotence across all of time, space, and reality.

* Darkblade is a German Shepherd and rival pirate who is captain of the Bloody Cutlass ship. He is infatuated with Jaws MacTaggart and has had a crush on her for a while. He was introduced as a semi-recurring antagonist in the series, before getting his own spin-off in Bloody Cutlass. Darkblade is considered to be the Captain Jack Harkness of the entire series; he describes himself as an omnisexual, and is the most perverted of any of the characters.

Other Characters
* Finbar MacTaggart is a gray raccoon and the captain of the Stellar Monsoon. He is also the husband of Jaws MacTaggart.

* Kumiko Mori is Jaws' twin sister and Kyoko's mother. She works as an engineer on the railway. Like her sister, Kumiko has a rebellious streak, but hers is more a desire to go against the gender conventions of her generation. This is exemplified by her working as a locomotive driver in the Minato Dockyards; typically a man's world. She is also shown to take pride in her work, and develop a leadership attitude.

Controversy between the Team
Recent controversy between the crew working on the series, had sparked massive tension. In July 2017, the crew has had a bout of infighting regarding the series itself, due to a simple mistake regarding pieces of fan art, and when a fan stated that Jacob Elmer wasn't as important enough to the series as Craig Black or Jordann William Edwards. Jacob was put in a deep depression due to his lack of acknowledgement. Because of his depression, it really effected Jacob's artwork.

External links
* Facebook page
* Twitter
* Instagram
* Tumblr

It follows the lives of twin red squirrels, Russell and Reggie Harvey, who are English expats now living in Southern California and who make a living fixing up and restoring cars. One car, a bright red 1967 Plymouth Belvedere GTX belonging to Russell, is particularly prominent.

The comic was launched in 2011 and is currently being updated once a week on Fridays.

The series' genre of humor is that of slice of life, satire on American and British culture and rare moments of slapstick and occasional dark comedy.

Premise
The series' revolves around anthropomorphic Eurasian red squirrels, Russell and Reggie Harvey, twin English mechanics from Stoke-on-Trent in the English midlands who move to Los Angeles, California after they inherited their deceased great uncle's car garage. The two brothers make a living restoring cars while going through many challenges in their daily lives such as adapting to American lifestyle, getting involved in risky misadventures and encountering new friends and sinister figures.

Characters
Main Protagonists
Russell Harvey: an English Eurasian red squirrel who is one of the main protagonists of the comic series and Reggie's identical twin brother. He loves to restore classic cars and is very easy going. He is an accomplished Rally racer and owns a 1967 Plymouth Belvedere GTX. His signature color T-shirt is Green.

Reggie Harvey: an English Eurasian red squirrel who is the other main protagonist of the Comic series and is Russell's identical twin brother and co-owner of their Auto Shop. He would rather mod cars rather than restore them. He is pretty aggressive and impulsive but has a soft side. He is revealed to be bisexual during the The Otter Side Of Reggie story arc when having a one time fling with a surfer instructor otter named Howard. His signature T-Shirt is orange and he just recently started wearing a Trucker cap.

Supporting Characters
Linda: a female ferret who is an inventive genius and Russell's girlfriend, later wife. She works as an electronics sales woman, and a passionate model maker. In issue 442 of the British Vacation story arc, Russell proposed to Linda and the two married during the Hitched story arc.

Jason Glover: a teenage silver fox who was rescued by the twins, from the hands of his abusive Uncle Eddie. He currently lives with them and studies culinary at Santa Ardilla College. He has a strong bond with Reggie, due to him taking in Jason after leaving his abusive uncle and helping him get his belongings.
He recently joined the college hockey team where he made a new friend, Jeff. In the story arc, Tenacious J and the Puck Of Destiny, Jason was spotted by a recruiting scout and he and Jeff joined the Seattle Thunderbirds hockey team. Jason takes a flight to Seattle for his new life and says goodbye to his friends, ending Jason's role as a supporting character, but him returning in the future is yet to be decided.

Trevor Harvey: the twins' younger brother who still lives in England with their parents, Tony and Belinda. He is the frontman and bassist in the Alternative rock band, Zombie Korma. Trevor is shown to have a wild and reckless personality, just as a stereotypical rock star.

Jack Randall: a slightly psychotic coyote whose is a friend of Russell and Reggie. He is an ex-national guard sergeant who owns an outdoor retailer, and is a scout master of a local Cub Scout troop. He loves camping and blowing things up. He is also seen to be very violent, considering since his wife cheated on him with their Gym instructor and Randall castrated him for revenge. He has a teenage daughter called Jess.

Timothy Schouten: a raccoon LAPD detective and former traffic cop who is one of the Harvey Twins' friends. He is a somewhat lenient and friendly police officer, more so than average LAPD officers, most likely because he's Canadian. He is married to his wife, Willow, a fellow raccoon, and father of their two children, Rebecca and Ralf. He and his wife, Willow, were formerly the main characters of FreyFox's short-lived comic series, Willow and Timothy, and starring in a few animated videos about them, before becoming supporting characters on Transmission since they had a cameo in strip #99, though Timothy actually appeared earlier, in strip #80.

Willow Speed: Tim's wife and mother of their children, Rebecca and Ralf. She is a total tomboy who has a history of street racing before she married Tim, which has yet to slow her down. She met Tim during a street race she was involved in and got pulled over and arrested by him, starting their relationship. Like her husband, she was one of the main characters of FreyFox's short-lived comic series, Willow and Timothy and starred in a few animated videos with him created by Frey.

Villains
Edward "Eddie" Glover: Jason's abusive uncle and the main antagonist of the Jason story arc. He had a short temper, cold-hearted and physically abused his nephew when things went wrong for him, even if it was small or not Jason's fault. He ran a small gang of burglars who tried to rob the Harvey Twins' auto shop with Jason's forced assistance, but failed and left him behind. After being released from the police, due to Reggie's compassion, Jason was beaten with a baseball bat and got his face burned by his Uncle Ed with a grill, leading to Jason to finally leaving his uncle and live with the Harvey Twins. When Russell and Reggie tried to get Jason's belongings from his uncle's house, they got into a fight with Ed and his gang. Ed was soon afterwards shot dead by Tim and undercover LAPD officers when he tried to kill Jason and Reggie, and his gang was later arrested. It is heavily implied that Edward Glover murdered Jason's parents.

Slater Siblings: Charley and Sasha Slater are two racer mice siblings who are the defending champions of the Mexican Rallycross race and the main antagonists of the Rallycross Rodents story arc. They go to extreme lengths of cheating in order for them to win, including tampering with other racers' maps, blowing up bridges, putting water in the other racers' gas tanks, etc. They had a duel with the Harvey Twins' during the second leg of the race, which lead to Sasha getting hit with a tire iron by Charley's chain, causing them to crash. The two lost the race and are later strip searched by the U.S. Border Patrol, along with the other racers for crossing an international border. Charley and Sasha returns as the main antagonists in the Let's Go To War story arc, entering as contestants in a Raging Robots competition in San Francisco. Instead, during the final round, they decided to battle the twins without cheating, only resulting in them losing. Sasha, who brings herself to admire the team's skill, shows affection for Reggie and gives him her phone number after the match.

Imelda and Troy: a geology major tabby cat and black horse who are a couple, and students at Jason's college and the main antagonists of The Rusty Chef story arc. The two discovered what they believed to be an oil well underneath the Harvey Twins' auto shop and tried to get their hands on it by Imelda seducing Reggie and pretending to be his girlfriend. After many attempts, leading to her getting injured, she reveals her plan to Reggie out of anger, leaving him heartbroken. She and her boyfriend were later arrested for their scheme. After being released, she sends an apology letter to Reggie when she and Troy left town.

Gordo and T-Bone: a warthog and alligator who are a pair of wanted carjackers and scrapyard owners who are the main antagonists of the Kidnapped story arc. They stole and took apart Reggie's blue BMW 3-series convertible, leading to him trying to get revenge, but left when threatened with guns. Reggie accidentally damages Gordo's Harley bike by throwing a cricket bat over the fence, leading to the two to plot revenge by kidnapping Linda, when mistaking Russell for Reggie, demanding a $100,000 ransom. Linda was rescued by the twins with the help of Randall when about to be crushed by a car crusher. T-Bone was knocked out by Reggie wielding a briefcase, while Gordo was hit in the head by Linda with a muffler and later blown up on his motorcycle by Randall when attempting to escape. The two were arrested by Tim and tortured, twice, when listening to a Jedward album. Reggie receives a black Mitsubishi Evo X, one of the cars Gordo and T-Bone had stolen, as a reward when no one claimed ownership.

Crazed Trucker: a homicidal trucker who tried to run down Russell and Reggie during their return trip from San Francisco and the main antagonist of the Duel story arc. When stubbornly refusing the Twins to pass him, Reggie mooned him, making him angry enough to run them off the road and kill them. After evading him multiple times on the road, the trucker drove off a cliff with the Twins' car, after they bailed, killing him. The story arc he appears in is heavily based on the Steven Spielberg movie Duel.

Eddie's Henchmen: Eddie's two goons from the "Jason" story arc, that consist of a Doberman and a Bulldog.
Who assisted Edward in his robberies and schemes. (and possibly bullied Jason) During the "Geraldine" story arc, they were released from prison and plotted revenge against the Harvey twins for Glover's death. But, they had meet their timely demise when attacked by Russell's possessed car.

Brett Hudson: A buff, athletic and spoiled black panther from a very wealthy family, who appears in the story arc "Jason on Ice". He was on the hockey team in Jason's college which caused him to develop the "dumb jock" ego. Brett picked on Jason, and when it gets to a point of sexual harassment, the coach intervenes and Brett is expelled from the team. The twins later have Randall kidnap Brett, and leave him stranded and tied up in the desert in just his underwear. Its been confirmed that Brett's father will appear in a future story arc to avenge his son.

Minor Characters
Howard: a handsome, buff, surf instructor otter who taught Russell, Reggie and Linda during a trip to Santa Monica beach in The Otter Side of Reggie story arc. Reggie struggled with sexually attractive feelings for Howard due to his handsome physical appearance, leading to the two to have a one-time encounter in his beach hut. The two parted ways as friends. Howard returns in the story arc, Let's Go To War, joining Nick in Reggie's strip poker party which Reg wins. It is later said that, Reggie and Howard are considered "friends with benefits".

Nick: an accident prone skunk who is also a black belt in martial arts and friend of the Harvey twins. He owns his own dojo and likes to dabble in philosophy. In strip #303 his abscence in more recent strips was explained as him being on a sabbatical in Nepal. He returns for a brief appearance at the end of the 'Let's Go To War' story.

Zombie Korma: Trevor's psychedelic/Alternative rock band. The band's original lineup consisted of Trevor Harvey (lead vocals, bass), Simon Todd (keyboards), Graham Bond (guitar) and Christian Thom (drums). Having scored several top 40 hits in their native UK, Zombie Korma released their debut album Zombified in 2014 and embarked on a tour of North America in an attempt to draw fans stateside. Afterwards, Christian was replaced on drums by Leeroy Evans and the band released their second album Psychopathic Curry Man in 2016 before embarking on a European Tour to promote the album. Zombie Korma's sound has been considered a fusion of Pink Floyd and Nirvana.

Jeff: a young male golden retriever, from Jason's college majoring in history studies. He met Jason when trying out for the hockey team and the two became fast friends. However Jeff didn't make the cut leaving Jason in a depression, cause Brett, a bully made the team. However after the coach drops Brett, Jeff made the team again, and Jason was glad to be reunited with his friend.

Jane: a young white wolf who became Jason's girlfriend when he joined his college's hockey team.

Tiffany: a wolf girl who was Russell's long-distance girlfriend whom he met during the Twins' trip to San Fransisco in issue #105, during the Summer Break In San Francisco story arc. She and her brother are from Minneapolis, she's skilled with the guitar and a dedicated environmentalist. She and Russell broke up in issue #158 during an online chat, where he spat out tea onto his computer causing it to explode when he found out she's dating a grey squirrel, which ultimately led to Russell to meet his next girlfriend, Linda.

Zoey McCluskey: an attractive, British, red fox rock star who's the lead singer and guitarist of the 1990s rock and pop band, Rrrapture.

Its been confirmed that Brett will return in a future story arc to get his revenge.

During the final chapters of the Zombie Invasion story arc, her band filled the slot for a concert in Los Angeles during Zombie Korma's final arm of their tour across America, preventing them from performing. But, Trevor got help from Reggie by acting as Zombie Korma's LA agent and convinces Zoey to have Trevor's band to support her's by sleeping with her, leading the two bands to play for the same concert.

She is a lazy yet streetwise hood-cat from East Oakland, California, Earth.
