* Please consult the Wikifur's page about "article exclusion" first.
* The request must be made by the article's user ONLY, with some exceptions (next of kin, lawyer/barrister, etc...).
* The exclusion will delete the ability for others to edit it any further, plus a protection layer is added by Wikifur's curators so is no longer searchable on such sites such as Google.
* NOTE: Removal of personal information is normally not the same as exclusion, and it can be done without needing curator assistance.
* The request can be made in a myriad of ways (Email, Bluesky, or Fur Affinity's DM), but the best way is to send me a DM via BlueSky at "SpirouWikifur” (Requests via Twitter [X] is no longer possible as the account is no longer operational).
Deleting my own private event page
Why am i not allowed to delete my own private event page when i kep being harassed by other fur? I already have reported said person for personally attacking me and the local private information protection is looking into my case. I have further proof that the person who runs the local community page is harassing me putting my name and slandering it on her website for local furries and then deleting it when i reported it to the same agents for private protection. I have proof if you want me to mail you. - Abby-fennec‎
::Dark-stardragon keeps naming me here and on her Icelandfurs website, and I keep removing it from her. Also, she kept editing my personal page and the IceFurCabin page. The event has always been private until on year when a friend wanted to open it up and from there it got closed as i got Banned from the community because people dont like my rules and kept attacking me and she still keeps on naming my event as part or used to be part of her icelandfurs when Icelandfurs is just her group and it has pushed me out of the fandom as i have had my phone number and other private info leaked by her group and she yet keps harassing me online. ::: It is very difficult to give Abby-Fennec personal credit for their contributions to the community without mentioning them (they accused us of not giving credit). They harass members and even their relatives outside of the group and blames us for any consequences. The constant gaslighting and drama gets tiring, almost a decade of it. == Convention template strikes ==

Hello! So I just wanted to clarify something up, I've been adding strikes on years where the convention was either postponed or cancelled in the convention templates. This is from me patterning what GreenReaper did for FurryPinas 2020 in the FurryPinas template, which I noticed back when I was first editing the Filipino pages. I noticed that you've been removing them in some of the templates I've updated and I just wanted to clarify whether or not strike-throughs should be used to indicate cancelled/postponed events? There isn't anything in the furry book of style about this so I'm a bit confused ehe --Pheodore (talk) 14:16, 4 February 2026 (EST)
:Hallo back. Before 2025, all convention articles were using hundreds of different convention edit layouts, so from 2025 onwards, starting with Anthrocon and the (WIP) WikiFur's furry conventions unified template project, we started to unify the con layout look (strikethroughs were only used only in a handful of con articles and were/are distracting [not a clean edit, more of an old typewriter look], so they are not used in new articles or when formatting old ones).

:The hope is to finish all convention edits by summer, then move the convention unified template to the Furry Book of Style page to help on future entries. Just FYI. - Spirou (talk) 14:51, 4 February 2026 (EST)
:: Alright understood! Will retroactively go through all I edited to be more in line.
:: Also suggestion to provide a link to your template in the Help:Furry_Book_of_Style#Articles_about_conventions_and_events or Template:New_Convention, I know you said the plan is to move after the convention edits but speaking from experience as a new editor who started last year, I was using the template found there as a guide because I didn't know there was a more updated one to follow. ;;w;; --Pheodore (talk) 06:57, 6 February 2026 (EST)
Title of Ursa Major Awards graphic story
Hello Spirou!
Regarding the titles of the entries in the 2025 Ursa Major Awards graphic story category, the title of the entry "Incomplete Control" (which I am the creator of) was incorrectly listing the title of the previous year's comic book collection on Amazon, rather than the current online comic series itself which is what was up for nomination. The official Ursa Major Awards site clearly states "Incomplete Control" as the entry and links to the comic's main site on Comicfury rather than on Amazon, hence why I changed the title back to simply just "Incomplete Control" for the sake of consistency. I hope that there will be no further issues where this is

:Hallo and thanks for the reply/explanation!. Removal of valid data (connected to the comic, but not the intended comic) without explanation is always suspect, so thank you again for clarifying the issue, being the author in question.

Right category for event page
Hello Spirou! I helped create the Growl page and noticed the category was changed from "local event" to "furmeet," which isn't quite accurate. Growl is a party held on a roughly bimonthly basis — not a furmeet. I originally categorized it as a local event because "rave" falls under conventions same with Room party, and Growl is not in a convention neither associate with one. I'd love to find the right category together — do you have a suggestion for how it should be classified? Thanks for your work on the wiki! Mochee
Thanks a bunch! I removed the logo you added as it was created unbeknownst to most of the team by someone using AI.
I really appreciate your edits, I'm new to wiki editing, so seeing how you made it look and sound a ton better was lovely. Thank you so much. -Atherial
Natural question
Hello, Spirou. I want to ask a few questions. Could you create a few pages? For example: Eipril_Foss, Dennis_Gunnn, and Rex the Third. As soon as I start creating the page, and you correct these shortcomings errors. Something like that? <small>—The preceding unsigned comment was added by CFox304 (talk • contribs) 13:18, 23 May 2026.</small><!-- [Template:Unsigned] -->

:Yes, you could, and I could get to them, but be aware that I also have an in-progress folder for new/existing Wikifur articles that has passed the 3500 entry mark a while back (plus RL work on the side), so I may get to them quickly or not (depending on time), just FYI. - Spirou (talk) 01:10, 24 May 2026 (EDT)

A new pages
Hello, Spirou. I created three pages on WikiFur. For example: Rex the Third, Eipril Foss, and Flynn Lynxley or Flynn the Lynx. You can correct and edit the design flaw in the page itself, and also rename it to Flynn Lynxley. <small>—The preceding unsigned comment was added by CFox304 (talk • contribs) 04:33, 25 May 2026.</small><!-- [Template:Unsigned] -->

I need some help to new pages
Hello again, Spirou. I recently created all the fursuiters on this page. These include: Rex the Third, Flynn Lynxley, Eipril Foss, Zed the Woof, CaffeineMutt, and VexGatito. Could you make some higher-quality edits to make them more comfortable? <small>—The preceding unsigned comment was added by CFox304 (talk • contribs) 07:26, 26 May 2026.</small><!-- [Template:Unsigned] -->

I have a wonderful idea
Hello there Spirou. I created a Aurora Bloom page. Could you spruce up the layout of the entire page a bit? I created the original version. You could also edit the Booker Fox page, which hasn't been edited since 2021, so I added some links - CFox304

Hello Spirou. I created a SuitedWolf, FoxTomas, Aldin1996, Zed the Woof, CaffeineMutt and Flynn Lynxley. We wanted the page to be surprising and inspiring. Something like this? What do you say this time? - CFox304
Heya. You seem to have rejected edits I made to an organization I'm on the Board of out of hand. I did not "obliterate" the article. A lot of the information listed is redundant, and I reorganized other information into a single table rather than multiple sections. Western Pennsylvania Furry Weekend (WPAFW) evolved from a series of small Spring and Fall Fur-b-que events, the first of which was held in the fall of 2001. The Fur-b-que changed names to Western Pennsylvania Spring and Fall Furry Weekends in 2005 to reflect adding programming on Fridays.

2005 saw the only Western Pennsylvania Spring Furry Weekend, following the tradition of the biannual Spring and Fall Fur-b-que events. However, with Anthrocon moving from Philadelphia to Pittsburgh in 2006, the team felt there was no longer a need for a spring event and consolidated to an annual fall convention. The name of the event was shortened to Western Pennsylvania Furry Weekend in 2007.

The event was held at:
* Comfort Inn Pittsburgh North and the nearby Fireman’s Memorial Park from 2007-2013
* Boyce Park Four Seasons Activity Center in 2014
Spring Furry Weekend 2005
The first and only Western Pennsylvania Spring Furry Weekend was held in 2005. It was very similar to the preceding Fur-b-ques, with the main event held at Fireman’s Memorial Park on Saturday, but with the addition of a Friday night social event. This arose because of a conflicting pre-planned monthly furmeet that rather than canceling chose to partner with the event. This meet functioned as entertainment for furs who wished to arrive early and became a staple of later WPAFW events. The Friday night social was originally held at Ashe's apartment.

Sunday's activity was originally planned to be attending a Pittsburgh Pirate's baseball game, but due to uncomfortably hot weather, plans were changed to instead go to the Carnegie Museum of Natural History.
Fall Furry Weekend 2005
The first Western Pennsylvania Fall Furry Weekend was held in 2005. Its programming matched that of the preceding spring event. Due to rain, instead of visiting the Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium as had been planned, the event opted to go to the Carnegie Science Center.

Fall Furry Weekend 2006
2006 marked the first anniversary of having only a fall event. Most of the programming was organized at the Comfort Inn Pittsburgh North. Out of the event's 71 registrants, 66 attended for the duration of the weekend. Through the work of Akira Shima and his staff, the charity auction raised $500. One of the guests wrote a check matching what the event raised, and by making the donation directly to Animal Friends' Capitol Fund, the event was able to take advantage of a program where a local philanthropist was matching all donations made to that fund. So through hard work, the attendee's charitable nature, and some savvy business sense, the event raised $2,000 for charity.

Midnight Menagerie
In 2007, WPAFW held a Midnight Menagerie, which attracted 8 acts.

COVID-19 Pandemic
WPAFW 2020 was scheduled to be held on October 9-11.<ref name="Tweet2020-1">Tweet on the WPAFW account on Twitter.

Fur-b-que
WPAFW originated from an event first held in 2001 called the Pittsburgh Fur-b-que. This small local event was a potluck style barbeque held in the front yard of two local furs, Swift and Silaria's, which was dubbed "The Fox & Unicorn Inn." It quickly grew, and in the fall of 2003, the event moved to Fireman's Memorial Park in Aspinwall.
Pittsburgh Fur-b-que 2001
The inaugural Fur-b-que was an afternoon and overnight meet inspired by PandaGuy's Annual Picnic in Glen Echo Park outside of Washingon, DC. The first Pittsburgh Fur-b-que was attended by 12 furs from Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Ohio. Swift Fox and his wife, Silaria, provided the main fare while guests brought side dishes and drinks to share.

Pittsburgh Spring Fur-b-que 2002
After the success of the first Fur-b-que, a second was planned for the first full weekend in June 2002 to act as a primer for attending Anthrocon, which was then held in Philadelphia. Held at "The Fox & Unicorn Inn," June's event saw 15 attendees from Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio, and New York. At 10 pm, the meet moved to Arsenal Lanes in the City of Pittsburgh where the group enjoyed two hours of bowling. A few local fursuiters got in costume, joined in the fun, and interacted with other patrons.

Pittsburgh Fall Fur-b-que 2002
Celebrating its first year, the Fall Fur-b-que in 2002 had 18 attendees. The allure of the event was evolving into a relaxing, small social meet providing a unique opportunity for furs to sit down and actually talk and get to know others. It was held again in the frontyard of "The Fox & Unicorn Inn."
Pittsburgh Spring Fur-b-que 2003
The following Spring Fur-b-que served up good food, fun, and furry fellowship to 18 guests from Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio, Maryland, and Virginia. This was the first event in this series with a basic printed program providing maps to the different venues, a space to sketch and to write down contact information, and an itinerary of the Saturday to Sunday events. As with the last Spring Fur-b-que, the meet moved to Arsenal Lanes at 10 pm where the group enjoyed two hours of bowling and fursuiting. On Sunday morning, the group got breakfast at the local Panera Bread and was dubbed "Sunday Breakfast at Panera Bread." The group met in the VIP room where the socialization continued until noon. The furs who remained after breakfast went on an outing to the Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium.
Pittsburgh Fall Fur-b-que 2003
The Fall Fur-b-que effectively doubled in size a week before it was scheduled to occur, causing the signature event to be moved to the pavillion at Fireman's Memorial Park in Aspinwall. The change of venue provided plenty of outdoor space, a spacious pavillion with fire place, restrooms, volleyball and horse shoe courts, and a copious amount of parking. 36 furs attended this event from Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, and Virginia for two days of furry fun and fellowship in the Allegheny Valley. "Sunday Breakfast at Panera Bread" was followed by more socialization and small group activities at "The Fox & Unicorn Inn" until late afternoon.
Western Pennsylvania Spring Fur-b-que 2004
In 2004, the name shifted to Western Pennsylvania Fur-b-que to give the fur meet a regional feel instead of a local one in the hopes that it would draw out more attendance. The Spring Fur-b-que was held at Fireman’s Memorial Park, and attendance grew to 42 as furs came from Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio, Maryland, and Virginia. This was the first year the event had a Featured Artist. Silvermoon Wolf, a local Pittsburgh furry artist, drew the cover art for the Spring Fur-b-que program. Due to the overwhelming task of coordinating side dishes and desserts for the potluck dinner, the event established the position of Food Coordinator, filled by Tos.

At the park, furs took part in pick up games of horseshoes and volleyball, a small group took to playing card games, the artists gathered together to share inspiration and techniques, and other pockets of furs were busy catching up on how things had been since the last time they met. The size of the event precluded the opportunity to go bowling as had been done in previous years, so instead guests were entertained at “The Fox & Unicorn Inn” or in homes of other local furs. “Sunday Breakfast at Panera Bread” was followed by a trek to the Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium. 25 furs in ears and tails visited the zoo.
Western Pennsylvania Fall Fur-b-que 2004
The Western Pennsylvania Fall Fur-b-que was also held at Fireman’s Memorial Park with 48 guests arriving for the autumn event haling from Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio, Maryland, and Virginia. The Featured Artist was the talented furry artist from western New York, Jirashi, who provided beautiful art for the front of the program. Jirashi Gallery at FurAffinity After the event at the park was over, guests retired to the homes of several of the local furs, where they were entertained through the rest of the evening and early morning. “Sunday Breakfast at Panera Bread” was followed at noon by the traditional visit to the Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium. A record 30 furs in ears and tails visited the zoo.
However, with Anthrocon moving from Philadelphia to Pittsburgh in 2006, the team felt there was no longer a need for a spring event and consolidated to an annual fall convention. The name of the event was shortened to Western Pennsylvania Furry Weekend in 2007.

The event was held at the Comfort Inn Pittsburgh North and the nearby Aspinwall Fireman’s Memorial Park from 2007-2010 and has been held at North Park Lodge in the Allegheny County's North Park from 20011-2025.
