The Linz Furmeet is a local furmeet for Austrofurs living on the region of central Upper Austria. As of 2024, there have been about 50 attendees at each event within the last year.

Overview
Linz Furmeet is held every month at a restaurant location in Linz, Austria. Usually attended by about 70-90 furs, its highest attendance has been about 200 people during an easter holiday event in 2023.
The furmeet is currently still held as a private meeting event and therefore not officially classified as a convention, therefore no panels or specific sub-events are organized. At most meets the attendees either organize their specials (such as bringing musical instruments or a bouncy castle | ONLY after contacting the organizer team!) or simply attend to socialize with others and eat dinner together. The furmeet allows fursuiting and the presence of animals, but the second must be discussed with organizers and restaurant staff first. The location of the meet can most easily be reached by car or via tram lines 1,2 from the main station(The closest stop is "Harbach").

A winter break during December has been followed as long as the event has existed and is now traditionally performed each year. Therefore there are no meets during December, even if other Austrian or Linz Furry-related events take place.

The Furmeet has no official discussion/chat group and instead is integrated with the Telegram Channel for "Austrofurs OÖ" (Austrian Furs Upper Austria), which is a sub-group of Austrofurs (Austrian Furs). It does however have its announcement channel "Linzer Furry Stammtisch", in which event dates, polls for sign-up (used to prepare the location for attendee numbers), concurrent events and other information are provided.
Sometimes other events organized by other furry groupings from Austria or Germany are concurrently organized in cooperation with the Furmeet, these are separate events and therefore not part of the meet (usually these also take place in Linz).

History
Linz Furmeet used to be held at a different location until shortly after the Covid-19 pandemic (during which meets were paused), at which point the previous organizers resigned and appointed a new organizer, who then moved the meet to another (the current) location during early 2021. Currently, the event is held at a restaurant in the Urfahr city district Urfahr of Linz, Austria.

Meets
Meets are held on the second Saturday of every Month (except December due to Winter Break), unless otherwise specified. They usually start at 18:30 (6:30 pm) and are technically open-ended, but almost always dissolve before 22:30 (10:30 pm). Usually, several groups of attendees meet up at separate locations after (exp: Bar, At Home, Outside, etc), but most of these hangouts are spontaneously organized by the attendees themselves. Information regarding upcoming meets can be found in the above-mentioned telegram channel and on the upcoming events page of the Austrofurs website.

Sometimes other events organized by other furry groupings from Austria or Germany are concurrently organized in cooperation with the Furmeet, these are separate events and therefore not actually part of the meet (usually these also take place in Linz).

Meets
Meets are held on the second Saturday every Month (except December due to Winter Break), unless otherwise specified. They usually start at 18:30 (6:30 pm) and are technically open end, but almost always dissolve before 22:30 (10:30pm). Usually several groups of attendees meet up at separate locations after (exp: Bar, At Home, Outside, etc), but most of these hangouts are spontaneously organized by the attendees themselves. Information regarding upcoming meets can be found in the above mentioned telegram channel and on the event calendar page of the austrofurs website.

History
Linz Furmeet used to be held at a different location until shortly after the Covid-19 Pandemic (during which meets were paused), at which point the previous organizers resigned and appointed a new organizer, who then moved the meet to another (the current) location during early 2021. Currently the event is held at a restaurant in the Urfahr city district of Linz, Austria.

Linz Furmeet

RedMacryon: edit to link nomenclature

Linz Furmeet is a local furmeet for the region of central Upper Austria. As of 2024 there have been about 50 attendees on each event within the last year.

General Event Information
Linz Furmeet is a furmeet, which is held on a monthly basis at a restaurant location in Linz, Austria. Usually attended by about 40-50 furs, its highest attendance has been about 100 people during an easter holiday event in 2023.
The furmeet is currently still held as a private meeting event and therefore not officially classified as a convention, therefore no panels or specific sub-events are organized. At most meets the attendees either organize their own specials (such as bringing musical instruments or a bouncy castle | ONLY after contacting the organizer team!) or simply attend to socialize with others and eat dinner together.
Therefore there are no meets during December, even if other Austrian or Linz Furry related events take place.

Furgether is an annual furry convention held in Austria. It takes place in September within Camp Grounds near Steyr, Upper Austria (Precisely Laussa, Upper Austria, Austria). The latest held event was Furgether 2023 during the 15-19 September 2023 which saw an attendance of 100 people (the registration was also limited to this amount).

Volunteers fully crew the convention and the team of organizers fund the entirety of the convention via the registration fees paid by attendees. Furthermore, there are several events, which occur during the convention such as drawing/artist panels, board and card game groups, music/dj events and also a climbing course (which does incur a separate fee for borrowing climbing gear).

History
Furgether began as a small furry house party in Straßwalchen, Salzburg, hosted by Susiqui in August 2016. The idea arose from a group of furs who couldn't afford to attend Eurofurence that year. The inaugural house party saw around a dozen attendees.

In August 2017, the house party returned to the same location, again attracting roughly a dozen guests. Following these gatherings, the concept of transforming the event into a full-fledged convention emerged. This vision materialized in August 2018.

Initially, some Austrian furs expressed reservations on Telegram, questioning the need for another convention in the country. Tenzo countered these concerns, stating, "Not everyone (including myself) can manage a week-long con like Lakeside Furs (LSF) and can only participate in weekend trips." These doubts soon dissipated.

While Furgether was once Austria's largest furry event, that title will soon pass to Awoostria, happening in July 2024. Awoostria is completely sold out and anticipates over 500 attendees.

2018
Furgether 2018 took place between the 3-5th of August 2018 at the Tobelmühlhof in Seeham, Salzburg and saw an attendance of 35 persons.

2019
Furgether 2019 took place between 6-9th September 2019 at the Bio Erlebnishof Lucka, in Geboltskirchen, Upper Austria.

2020
Furgether 2020 was held from the 11th to the 14th of September 2020 at the Camp Sibley in Oberdambach, Upper Austria and saw an attendance of 65 persons. Attendance was negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic taking place at the time.

2021
Furgether 2021 was held between the 10-13th September 2021. 97 persons from all across Europe participated.

2022
Furgether 2022 took place from 15-19th September 2022. The convention attendance was limited to 100 attendees for organizational and COVID-19 safety measures-related reasons (of which all 100 tickets were sold).

2023
Furgether 2023 took place from the 15 to 18th of September 2023, returning to the exact location as the year prior. The convention attendance was limited to 100 like the previous years, because the location was maxed out.
This year attendees were asked to help for a few hours to help out in different areas to make sure the con ran smoothly.

2024
Furgether 2024 is planned to take place from the 13 to 16th of September 2024, at the exact location as the year prior.

SloFluffCon (or SFC) is an international furry convention in Slovenia.

The convention was born from an idea in 2020 and has finally come to fruition in 2023, held in the beautiful and historic Hotel Evropa, the second oldest hotel in Slovenia, located in the city of Celje. The first edition of the convention will attract attendees from all over the world, excited to experience everything that SFC has to offer.

SFC is designed to be an inclusive and welcoming space for furries of all kinds. Attendees can look forward to a diverse range of panels and events, including Main Stage Dances, Dealers' Den, Snack Exchange, various Fursuit events, and other informative and entertaining panels. The convention staff is dedicated to providing attendees with a memorable and enjoyable experience, and encourages them to host their own events, providing them with almost everything they need.

One of the most exciting features of SFC is the convention's theme, which changes every year. This ensures that returning attendees will always experience something new and unique. SFC is also a non-profit event, with all funds going towards making the next convention possible. The convention is run entirely by volunteers who are passionate about the furry community and who purchase tickets just like attendees.

Anyone can attend SFC with a full convention ticket or a day ticket, making it accessible to furries of all backgrounds and budgets. The convention provides a platform for attendees to connect, make new friends, and share their passion for the furry fandom in a safe and welcoming environment.

Overall, SloFluffCon promises to be an exciting and memorable event that furries will look forward to attending every year. The convention staff is committed to creating a positive and enjoyable experience for all attendees, and they are excited to welcome furries from all over the world to the beautiful city of Celje for the first edition of SFC.
