* '''Rex''': Richard rescues Rex from the [[dog]] pound and, although the Dalmatian pup senses the alpha-male status of his new owner, Richard finds that his new [[pet]] needs strong discipline and a firm hand. Nevertheless, the pair bond and an inflatable [[sheep]] provides some relief after Rex's little accident. The start of a long friendship? This was FoxyPaws' first attempt at furry fiction, and he admits it turned out that Rex was too feral, hence the subsequent creation of his character Frodo.

* '''Frodo 1: Malcolm''': Frodo's camping trip with his master is put at risk when the Dalmatian pup is first caught fapping and then steals some cookies during corner-time, but Malcolm switches from spanking to public humiliation as a punishment and the two of them finally make it to the woods. Frodo is offered an interesting snack and does his best to please his master, but a forfeit still leads to further discipline.

Finally, the three of them set off to the woods where - watching Frodo and Malcolm play - Julia finally gets what it's all about.

The Dalmatian pup's prowess causes some confusion, especially when his fapping is measured, but the really unexplained results happen during the vaulting-horse spanking session.

Frodo remains obedient and is quick to help Roger when the lad needs to relieve himself but the toilets are locked. Back home later that night, however, the pup's paper fetish once more lands him in the kind of trouble that only a sound spanking can really address. The question is, will Rupert and Roger trust leaving Frodo alone for the rest of the night?

A wet episode leads to a punishment that clearly reveals Diesel's status, and finally Rupert and Roger ensure both furries are mutually serviced before bedtime.

He also discusses and explores the Dalmatian pup's newspaper fetish where, even restrained, the pup finds it hard to behave and so suffers the consequence. What will be Harvey's final opinion of the pup?

This work was based on a Little Skunk Adventures story written by SkunkishBlue, which Foxy Paws rewrote in his own style (with permission from the author) having enjoyed reading the original.

* '''Biscuit''': Little Boo is generally a cute and well-behaved pet, however now and then he forgets the lowly position he has in his master's household and when that happens - for his own benefit - he receives the humiliating punishment he deserves. That's only because his master loves him, however, and when Boo drops the corner-time biscuit on the floor well there's no telling what might happen next... This was the first Boo and Kye story created by Foxy Paws.

* '''Hungry''': Boo's appetite for his master sometimes gets the better of him and, although Kye is patient, now and again the little skunk needs reminding of his position. In this case, that includes being tied to the bed and punished, and being ordered onto all fours for a spit-roasting. However, Kye knows his pet is good at heart and realises how bad the little skunk feels for letting him down, so the master takes Boo in his [[paws]] to show how much he loves him.

* '''Musty''': Boo is won by another skunk following a slave-raffle, and Musty - the other skunk - comes to claim his prize. Naturally, Boo's master first makes sure that his pet is squeaky clean before their visitor arrives, and then after that it's all down to Musty who seems to have a fascination for nipples and other round parts of the anatomy. When Boo's tongue finally tires, Musty takes both the initiative and the little skunk's [[tailhole|tail-hole]], with Kye's well trained pet cleaning up afterwards.

It was developed from an idea by SkunkishBlue, to feature role-reversal where pet dominates master, and dedicated to Kaidron for his birthday. The title refers to both day-break (after which the characters will revert to their normal roles), and the dawning of awareness as to how it feels to experience the reversed roles.

* '''Frills''': The night is not yet over, so young Boo takes the chance to introduce a reluctant Kye to the pleasures of ladies’ lingerie, not to mention edged fapping and a dose of fisting and rimming. [[Karma]] (born 1985) is an [[anthro artist]] and [[fursuiter]] from [[Wikipedia:Pennsylvania|Pennsylvania]], U.S.A. Her [[fursona]] is a blue furred female wingless [[dragon]] of a species of her own creation, [[Karma Dragon]]s. She is also known online as karmadragon, foreveromega, ihavetherabies, Amandazilla, Arse, Nguloja, Aro, Cookie and Addicted Rat.

She discovered the fandom in late 1999. After becoming interested in [[werewolves]] after seeing [[Wikipedia:An_American_Werewolf_in_Paris|An American Werewolf in Paris]], she followed a link on [[Temple of Luna]] through [[Chris Goodwin]]'s artwork to the [[VCL]].

Delighted that she had found others that were interested in the same things she was, she started drawing on a daily basis, and started posting her artwork online shortly thereafter. She decided to create her own species of dragons after discovering [[Aido]]'s artwork. The idea that one could create their own species had not occurred to her before that time. She had really taken to the idea of dragons covered in fur, so [[Karma Dragon]]s were made, even though [[Karma]] was not the first one drawn.

'''Camp Feral!''' is a [[furry]] [[convention]] held every year in the wilderness of [[Wikipedia:Ontario|Ontario]], [[Wikipedia:Canada|Canada]]. It is the first outdoor furry convention, and currently the fourth-oldest still-running furry convention (behind [[Eurofurence]], [[Anthrocon]], and [[Mephit Furmeet]]). Traditionally, it is an intimate gathering that gathers anywhere from 50 to 100 participants, with the exception in 2006 with 132 registered campers; however, attendance has grown steadily since 2010, with 163 campers in 2015. ''Camp Feral!'' has been running since 1998, and is often referred to as being the "uncon" due to its vast differences from hotel-oriented furry events.

== History ==
The concept for Feral! was first drawn up during the summer of 1997 over the span of several meetings. Several furs had shown great interest in hosting a furry conference in the Toronto area after having attended the successful [[Albany AnthroCon 1997]] in July. [[P.Pardus]] is credited for being the driving force behind starting Feral!, combining two suggestions from locals [[Terry Wessner]] and [[Silfur]] of a workshop-oriented university and a summer camp respectively.<ref name=History>Feral 2006 FAQ, http://www.campferal.org/faq.php</ref> A committee was soon brought together, including [[P.Pardus]], [[Terry Wessner]], [[Silfur]], [[Benjamin]], and [[Wilykat]].

In a retrospective on Feral! published in Feral! 2007's conbook, Wessner credited the origins of the Feral! name to [[MelSkunk]], stating they were looking for a name that was "evocative without being too open to ridicule". MelSkunk suggested the name, which was immediately adopted by the convention's staff.

While initially a three-day event in its first year, the camp's duration was increased to five days in subsequent years to permit for additional workshops and camp-related activities.

== Programming ==

Though Feral!'s events have not always been the exact same from year to year, some of the more well-established ones have become tradition:

* '''Predator & Prey''': Sometimes better known as ''The Survival Game'' or ''The Food Chain Game'', participants are split into three groups based on the roles in an ecosystem - carnivores, omnivores, and herbivores, which can eat any animal below them in the chain. The objective of all participants is to consume as many creatures as possible by tagging them while stopping at food and water stations. "Special" roles in the ecosystem (such as disease, fire, etc.) are often performed by Guests of Honour, with amusing results.
* '''Capture the Flag''': Teams compete against each other in an all-out fight to get the other team's flag and bring it back to their own goal. The game is played with [[W:LARP|LARP]] (live-action roleplay) rules, meaning the foam swords tend to fly.
* '''Cabin Skits''': On the penultimate day of the camp, cabins come together to perform skits for the remaining campers. First introduced in 1999, it tends to be one of the more nervewracking events for campers, intimidated by the prospects of getting up and acting in front of their peers - but several memorable skits have come out of this event.
* '''Musicians Circle''': An opportunity for furry musicians to perform for an audience of peers and admirers, covers and original pieces are sung on stage. Normally they are solo-performances but occasionally duos and groups form during the camp.

== Mascots ==

Feral!'s first mascot was [[Farley]], a distinctly Canadian-looking lynx character created by [[Benjamin]] prior to the first edition of the event in 1998. Farley appeared in the first Feral! con book, later entitled the ''Feral! Survival Guide''.

Mascots tended to consist of contributions from artist Guests of Honour to the Survival Guide for the next several years. In 2006, to coincide with the 'Clan Challenge' activities four different mascots were introduced. Completed by artist team [[The Wormwood]] and [[Anklebones (Canada)|Anklebones]], each mascot represented one of the four clans at Feral! - Geist for Earth, Misha for Fire, Aelos for Wind, and Kabalo for Water. In 2006 a series of four t-shirts were made with the mascots, making Feral! the first furry convention to offer such a large variety of art shirts for sale in a single year. Unfortunately, the four mascots parted ways with Camp Feral! immediately after 2006.

In 2007, furry artists [[Ferris]] and [[Patchouli]] collaborated to create a new mascot, Pawnee (sometimes written as Pawnie), which now appears full-time on Feral!'s website. [[Patchouli]] also designed a female porcupine named Weeko. Ruger, a character who hails from rural Ontario and was created by [[Gideon]], acts as a third mascot. These three mascots have been present on the cover of the conbook from 2007 to 2009, as well as the 2008 and 2009 art t-shirts.

Pawnee was introduced as a fursuit mascot in 2010 and appears in Camp Feral video series. His character is silent, communicating only through mime which is understood by Feral staff. He is a trickster, often changing personality depending on the theme. In 2010, Pawnee took on the character of Jason Furhees, a play on Jason Voorhees, which he is revisiting for the 2015 event. Pawnee is often a voice of reason compared to Camp Feral! staff, who are depicted as disorganized or unaware of their situation. In 2011, Pawnee worked to protect campers from Evil Nayo, who was trying to spread the contagion as part of the 'It Came From Camp Feral!' b-movie theme. In 2012, he worked to restore the timeline and battle Evil Simbayo who tried to take over Camp Feral! a hundred year in the future for 'Futurecamp!' In 2014, Pawnee portrayed a mystical being from the woods who wanted to bring peace to the warring lands in the Game of Thrones theme 'Algonquinos.'

==== Camp Arowhon ====
Camp Arowhon is a campground nestled deep in [[Wikipedia:Algonquin Park|Algonquin Provincial Park]] in Ontario, Canada. GPS co-ordinates to Camp Arowhon are: 45.595783,-78.730946. With its own lake, its facilities are well-suited to the convention due to the fact that it hosts several summer camps for children during a two-month period throughout the summer (its main log cabin hall for campers, built in 1928, can host almost 350 people). The facility provides lifeguards, all equipment and scheduled times for kayaking, canoeing, sailboarding, and swimming. Recent events have been hosted at the conclusion of the camping season, prior to the site undergoing maintenance.

Arowhon hosted the first Feral! in [[Feral! 1998|1998]] and again in [[Feral! 2004|2004]] through [[Feral! 2014|2014]]. The event will return to the venue in [[Feral! 2015|2015]].{{cn}}

==== Kinark Outdoor Centre ====
The Kinark Outdoor Centre served as the venue for Feral! from [[Feral! 1999|1999]] to [[Feral! 2003|2003]]. It was first used when Camp Arowhon had no time slot available for [[Feral! 1999]]. It is located in the Haliburton Heights region of southeastern Ontario, Canada, very near to a small town named Minden. This venue bears a hilly terrain with its own lake, which quickly earned the nick name of "Lake Nestea" due to the particles of leaves from the nearby trees (tannin) that gave the water a deep golden hue. Where Arowhon excelled in rustic charm, Kinark had the advantage of being a more modern facility which had a few class room spaces with good resources available for workshops.

== Transportation ==
Camp Arowhon is about a 3 hour drive from Toronto. Attendees can either drive themselves, carpool or take the Feral Bus for a nominal fee ($45 roundtrip as of 2013). The bus departs either from Yorkdale Mall or the nearby "Roo Den", both of which are accessible via public transportation. Toronto has a subway system, but it does not go to the Airport. There are straightforward bus routes to the Camp Feral bus departure point, but Toronto's large transportation system may overwhelm new visitors. Fly-in should research bus and pay close attention to the instructions on the Camp Feral website regarding arrival and departure guidelines, to make sure they don't miss the bus.

His novel project ''Packlands'' has gone through several of false starts and re-writes, and he experienced a severe writer's block after [[Michael-Scot McMurry]], who was to have illustrated the finished work, died of stomach cancer in 2001.

In the 1980's, Steven contributed to other comics projects, mostly small press projects by other artists, but did write and draw a two-page strip in [[Jane J. Oliver]]'s underground comix work ''[[Tales of Jerry]] #3''. He was also a staff writer for the marginalist newsletter ''Inside Joke'', which he credits with learning how to write for an audience.

He has had a long standing interest in anthropomorphics, and became seriously involved in the furry fandom after fellow self-publishing artist [[Timothy Fay]] wrote to him about the ''Rowrbrazzle'' APA. He sent then Official Editor [[Marc Schirmeister]] samples of his work for consideration, including a political strip entitled ''[[The Rats Retire]]'', which he printed and posted on the walls of Manhattan in 1980 as a public art project. Schirmester published the wall poster strips in the second issue of ''Rowrbrazzle''. Scharff jokes about this making him "Rowrbrazzle's only draftee".

In 2010, he announced his plans to start a furry web-comic with the working title ''Return to Cloudhaven'' (earlier proposed titles included ''Serf City'' and ''State of Grace''), set in a medieval society, once he completes work on his novel.

==Skye Bluedeer==
Skye Bluedeer was originally from [[FurryMUCK]], though has also made appearances on various other [[MUCK]]s and, more recently, in [[Second Life]]. He is a winged [[Wikipedia:White-tailed deer|white-tailed deer]], similar to a [[Wikipedia:Peryton|Peryton]], though with few of their usual mythological characteristics. His normal coloring is generally blue, with silver hooves and antlers, and large bird-like wings that sprout from his back.

Skye has occasionally been known to take on other forms, with similar coloration, amd magic powers usually having to do with the manifestation of matter or energy. Typically shown in [[anthropomorphic]] form, he is about six feet tall with four to eight point antlers, depending on how he is represented.

Skye has made cameo appearances in the comic [[Jack]], with a more stylized representation. One of the thousands of angels created to communicate with the beings on Earth, he now wears a robe and posesses mirrored eyes. His antlers and wings appear to have been scorched off as a result of his expulsion from Heaven for siding with Satan and centuries of banishment to Hell.

Unlike most of its denizens, Skye had no illusions about why he was there, and redemption came simply from asking God to forgive him. He became the Keeper of Purgatory along with others of the forgiven fallen to watch over those who neither belonged in Heaven or Hell. During his discussion with Ted, Ted asks if he is holding up the line, to which Skye replies that Heaven is worth waiting forever for. He maintains an as-yet unexplained relationship with [[Durp]], though she may be one of the many other forgiven fallen.

The infection is spread from one person to others via [[W:respiratory droplets|respiratory droplets]], often produced during coughing and sneezing. Time from exposure to onset of symptoms is generally between two and fourteen days, with an average of five days.

Common symptoms include [[W:fever|fever]], cough, and shortness of breath. Muscle pain, [[W:sputum|sputum]] production and sore throat are less common symptoms. While the majority of cases result in mild symptoms, some progress to [[W:pneumonia|pneumonia]] and [[W:multi-organ failure|multi-organ failure]]. The [[W:case fatality rate|deaths per the number of diagnosed cases]] is estimated at between 1% and 5% but varies by age and other health conditions.

== Prevention and management ==

Recommended measures to prevent the disease include frequent [[W:hand washing|hand washing]], [[W:Social distancing|maintaining distance from other people]] and not touching one's face. The use of masks was initially recommended for those who suspect they have the virus and their caregivers but not the general public, but as evidence mounted that people can become infectious prior to displaying symptoms, universal face coverings were mandatory in several states. It experienced stagnation during the year of 2010, but by June 2011 was being revived by new and experienced editors and curators, and reached 125 articles. The article count was over 150 in September 2011.

According to ''blockedinchina.net'', the wikifur.com domain was once blocked within the People's Republic of China, making it one of a large number of websites, in Chinese or other languages, to be blocked in the country.<ref>{{cite web|url = http://www.blockedinchina.net/?siteurl=wikifur.com|title = blockedinchina.net results for wikifur.com}}</ref> However, it is not blocked as of 2014. Martini has named his den Reykjavik, because he loves this city and also because of the connection to the arctic landscape and arctic foxes. Once he got the idea to mark it on google maps for a bit fun, google was asking back what business he owns. Becasue he didnt wanted to have people looking for a nightclub, he choosed the Yacht Club and so the Arctic Yacht club was born. Furthermore, he also designed a logo, brand, registered a website to make it looks like the club of all clubs. On top of that, he often hosting small parties. He is well known for taking care of his guests, always offering various of drinks, home made food and also livemusic.

Martini joined the fandom as an artist but also used his photographic skills to shoot at conventions, fursuitwalks, meetups and shootings. He had already taken photographs at a young age and has been expanding his experience ever since. (Landcapes, studio, wedding, wildlife, business, product, party) As a motion picture designer, he also know how to produce movies. Furthermore, this fox likes to design things like logos, communication-papers, websites, animations and products or Objects.

Traveling was always a good way to get new ideas and inspirations. It became a habbit to explore the world - he also loves to do roadtrips. To get the maximum amount of time, he often uses his experience in the weather-forecast.

Like arctic foxes, Martini has big range of daily traveling - on his bicycle. He owns an s-pedelec with the name Velo Polare that can not just run as far and as fast an arctic fox - It also has a whote jumping arctic fox on the sides that he made specially for this bike with his vinyl cutter.

The podcast is unique in that it uses the voices of its listeners. Since the third episode, B-Hop has written the scripts to include "cutaways", or opportunities for fans of the podcast to have their own voices appear in the episode. These are usually in the form of brief interviews and sound bites. The listeners portray athletes, coaches, team managers, owners, and other characters in the FBA Universe. The "cutaways" are usually recorded live during the podcast recording, which is broadcast over [[Wikipedia:Livestream|LiveStream]]. Listeners who want to contribute call in either with [[Wikipedia:Skype|Skype]], [[Wikipedia:iChat|iChat]] or cell phone to have their voices recorded. It is not uncommon for several actors to try playing the same role, leaving either B-Hop or the listeners to decide on the best performance. In this way, each episode features the voice talents of many members of the furry community, with new voice actors being featured in most every episode.

The live podcast recording sessions are held irregularly on the weekends, depending on when B-Hop can find time to write a script and host a recording session. The podcast is released after up to a month of post-production.

He lives in Rohnet Park, California, and has a strong dislike for the state of Oregon. He holds the distinction of getting the last interview with Brock Horace Thiessen, the last living player of the Hamilton Mariner's inaugural season (1920-1921).

He has a large collection of jersies, including some true oddballs such as the 1980 Bryn Mastiffson Jersey (his is the only one known to be signed by Mastiffson himself), the jerseys of the defunct Small Furs Basketball Association and the jersey Brock Thiessen wore in 1925.

From 2004-2009 Jeeves served as a moderator and reviewer on [[Yiffstar]], now [[SoFurry]]. He remains active to the present day on Furaffinity as a user, and enjoys participating in other aspects of furry media such as podcasting, being a regular listener to both [[2 Sense]] and [[Knotcast]].

Since joining the fandom in 2003 Jeeves has been 'mated' twice, but decided that he would rather seek to cultivate friendships online and leave romantic pursuits for the 'real world'. He is currently single, and while he does allow his fursona to appear in romantic or sexual situations within his stories he maintains that he is not actively seeking a long term partner at this time, prefering instead to enjoy himself and let love come to him, if indeed it chooses to.

As a fur, Jeeves believes that being a part of the furry fandom should be fun and enjoyable above all else! While he does enjoy his place within the fandom, he has declared on several occasions that many furs take the fandom far too seriously. While he and his fursona are very similar in personality, leading some of those who know him within the fandom to ask if he's open about his furriness in public, Jeeves does keep his life within and beyond the fandom separate.

An '''amphimorpho''', also known as a '''tuxedo dragon''' based on their fur patterns, is an [[alien|extraterrestrial]], [[shapeshifting]] [[species]] created by [[Tuxedo Dragon]], and are an open species. Others are allowed to create amphimorpho characters and to adapt or deviate from established anatomy or canon without obtaining permission.

== Anatomy ==

Amphimorpho are [[mammal]]-like [[hybrid]]s with long, serpentine bodies and thick, prehensile [[tail]]s. They typically have four or six limbs (two or four forelimbs, and two [[digitigrade]] hind limbs), rounded snouts, long [[rabbit]]-like ears, and semi-dexterous [[cat]]-like paws. Most individuals have a vestigial pouch on their stomachs. There are no sexes, with all amphimorpho capable of breeding with any other.

Fully grown adults usually range from 1.8 to 2 meters from snout to rear, with tails typically being an additional 2.7 to 4 meters in length. They are surprisingly light despite their size, usually weighing less than 115 kilograms.

They are covered in dense fur that comes in a variety of colors and patterns. Bi-coloured schemes are the most common, lending the species the moniker of "tuxedo dragons". Colors can be changed with ease, and it is theorized that this is used as a factor in their communication.

They lack nostrils, instead using their tongues and olfactory organs in the roof of the mouth to smell. They have an acute sense of taste, preferring to forage for more flavorful food sources over subsiding on abundant but bland grassland. They are typically herbivorous, but will opportunistically eat meat if it's available.

Amphimorpho cellular makeup is unusually fluid and impressionable, a consequence of their genetic engineering and the accelerated healing ability of their progenitor species. This fluidity permits them the ability to take on the visual appearance of any creature or object they can imagine, as well as maintaining the ability to rapidly heal from injuries.

To complement this, amphimorpho are capable of 'imprinting' on other living beings by touching them with their paws. This incorporates the subject's DNA into the amphimorpho's body, allowing them to near-perfectly reproduce the subject visually and internally. Amphimorpho can still reproduce the outward appearance of something from sight alone, but cannot reproduce internal structures without first imprinting.

The shapeshifting process is physically demanding, however. Amphimorpho require a high-calorie intake to be able to maintain the ability to shift. If they are hungry, tired, injured or stressed, an amphimorpho may struggle to shapeshift or maintain a shifted form.

Amphimorpho can influence their density slightly, but cannot shapeshift into something substantially larger or smaller than their regular size.

== Intelligence ==

Although feral in appearance, amphimorpho are extremely intelligent with proven sapience, having been observed to perform complex tasks, learn human languages, exercise reason and work alongside humans. Those in the wild have been found to have established societal structures and a distinct culture of their own.

Amphimorpho communication combines a variety of factors, combining spoken language, chirps, squeaks, body language and physical presentation. They don't use gendered words or pronouns when speaking, due to the species lacking the concept of sex or gender.

They display a range of personalities but are typically playful, curious and social creatures who dislike being isolated from their peers.

== History ==

Amphimorpho (''Proteus amphimorpho'') were genetically engineered as part of 'Project Delta'. They are a combination of the DNA from various Earth species and ''Proteus protomorpho''—an alien species that exhibited accelerated cellular regeneration properties—intending to research and develop new medical techniques utilising ''Proteus protomorpho'''s genetics.

These early amphimorpho were eventually released from captivity after Project Delta concluded and began breeding in the wild, establishing a sustained population on the planet Terrarium.

As part of Project Delta's efforts, they developed a retrovirus that could splice amphimorpho DNA into test subjects. This did not work as intended, as the amphimorpho DNA would quickly hijack and overwhelm the host's genetics, [[transformation|transforming]] them into a [[#Mutant amphimorpho|mutant amphimorpho]].

Amphimorpho 'raptors' are an alternative body type that walks and stands on the hind limbs. They have shorter forelimbs and stand taller than regular amphimorpho.

Mutant amphimorpho are the result of other species that have been infected by the 'amphimorpho virus', an engineered retrovirus developed during Project Delta.

They physically resemble their non-mutant peers, though may retain some elements of their pre-mutation appearance. They additionally have brightly-coloured bio-luminescent features on their paw pads, tail tips and the insides of their mouths; the result of the fluorescent dyes used in the original virus samples having been incorporated into their DNA. These features often lack cellular cohesion and appear 'goopy'.

The mutant aspect of these amphimorpho has given them genetic fluidity above and beyond those of non-mutant versions, permitting them to shapeshift more readily at the expense of it being harder to maintain their shape over long periods and being more prone to spontaneous, uncontrolled shifting.

A rarer subset of mutant amphimorpho has been recorded with additional physical features such as antennae, spikes or gills, resulting from particular aspects of their chimeric DNA becoming more dominant during mutation.

Mary Tourtel's last Rupert story was 'Rupert and Bill's Seaside Holiday' published in 1935. '''Spontoon Tales''' is one of the longstanding stories found at the [[Spontoon Island]] website.
This is a lengthy tale by [[Simon Barber]], in the form of the diary of student Amelia Bourne-Phipps, who attended the Songmark Aeronautical Boarding School For Young Ladies, located on Spontoon's Eastern Island, from 1934 to 1937.

When Amelia wrote the diary, she used a little known form of shorthand so that no one would be able to decipher it. In the 1970's, Amelia translated the diary, for the benefit of her granddaughters. Amelia's diary details the busy life of a Songmark student; the adventures she and her dorm-mates have; and her impressions of not only Spontoon, but of the
other places she visits.

During her years at Songmark, Amelia's life has acquired various complications which will have to be resolved.
