Procyon is an American furry who lives in Copenhagen, Denmark. In online contexts he sometimes also uses the account name 'procyonid' (or 'procyonir'), usually when 'Procyon' is unavailable.

Born August 31, 1982, in Socorro, New Mexico, Procyon graduated from high school in 2000, studied physics at Cornell University until 2004, and studied astrophysics at the University of California, Berkeley, receiving his PhD in 2011. He lived in Pasadena from 2011-2015 and moved to Denmark in the summer of 2015.

Procyon's fursona is a non-anthropomorphic, talking raccoon. He generally plays the character as a mischievous creature with a short attention span, nominally living ferally in the forest but found just as frequently in urban settings.

The name Procyon is a double-meaning, referring both to the bright star Procyon as well as the fact that the scientific name of the raccoon is Procyon lotor.
