Furocity Radio, or just Furocity, also known IPAW, was a music internet radio show based in Second Life owned and operated by furries.

History
Furocity Radio was started in May 2013. The station started off as a strict classic rock format station known as Flux Aura Radio. DJ Cody, as the station manager, and partner at the time, DJ Woofy, as the owner at the time, started the station as a partnership. DJ Woofy owned the name Flux Aura and the DJ linersclarify(Woofy owned DJs?) at the time and also had the connections to the voice over talents. DJ Cody was the main funding source, acquiring the stream and the rights on Second Life.

In July 2013, DJ Woofy resigned from position with Flux Aura, disbanding the company. DJ Cody took the current resources and started a new station named Furocity Radio as a sole proprietorship.

Many friends and fans of Flux Aura came to DJ Cody's aid in helping to restart the station. Skan, one of the many voice talents used in Furocity's commercials, is credited for coming up with the name Furocity. After a short brainstorming session, many names were thrown around as ideas for a new "furry based rock station".

Shortly after the restart, DJ Cody appointed a new management staff. The staff included DJ Dustin, assistant station manager in charge of advertisement and DJ talents. In August 2013, DJ Foxxy (also known as DJ Allure) who was former owner of the SL rock station 97 Rock, joined Furocity staff as the station manager.

In October 2013, DJ Cody appointed a Public relations manager, Tobias Coulture, to oversee the station's social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr).

DJ Cody also started real-world advertisement after commissioning an advertising image from furry artist Jailbird.

During mid 2013 the station gained proper licensing for royalties.

On December 30th, 2015, it was announced that Furocity Radio would close down internet streaming due to an increase in copyright royalty rates. In the same post, it was also announced that its sister stations, Furry FM and Growl Radio, would be shutting down as well.

On 2016 January 8, post to Facebook said "Help stop the licensing boards from keeping rates High so small webcasters like us can come back." As of 2016 June 26, Furocity's Facebook, Fur Affinity and Twitter accounts are still online.

Furocity went back on the air live on September 18th, 2016 . The website is back up and running at www.FurocityRadio.com

Closing
On September 18th, 2018, two years after reopening, DJ Cody posted that Furocity Radio was closing in the announcements section of the Furocity Radio Discord server. The reason for closing was due to the high upkeep costs, with very little people listening in for anything other than scheduled programming.

Guys, its with a heavy heart, I am announcing that I am shutting down Furocity. Unfortunately I cannot afford to keep it open, I have to take care of the debt I have rather than spending more money on this right now and with my day to day responsibilities I simply don't have the time to give it the attention it deserves. The stream has been down for the last several days and no one has noticed or even reached out. I wish you all the best of luck, I will be shutting everything down by the end of the week. Thank you all for your support over the last several years. its been a good run.

Format
Furocity Radio format was mainstream rock (between classic rock and active rock on the programming spectrum) in that they played more classic rock songs focusing in on the 1970s, 1980s and the 1990s.

Prism: Fixed broken links

Revar is a vampire bat character played on FurryMUCK. The character of Revar Desmera originated in furry novellas written by Watts Martin and is played as a MUCK character with the author's permission. Revar's player is a programmer, serving as the lead developer of the Fuzzball MUCK project and the Trebuchet MU* client. Revar also created the Belfry WebComics Index, the fictional Feep species, and the Foxish language.

Revar was a FurryMUCK wizard and was a guest of honor, along with other FurryMUCK wizards and creators, at 9 (1998).

Foxen, a keshant, is an earlier furry persona that Revar's player still sometimes uses.

Prism: corrected punctuation.

I'm not convinced of the notability of this "language". The claim that it is spoken by some people in the furry, otherkin, and therian communities appears to come directly from the FAQ on its website. There are a total of 27 people subscribed to the official mailing list about Primal. Including it here almost seems like an advertisement to try to generate more interest in it and possibly promote sales of the book. Jarandhel 21:46, 18 March 2012 (EDT)
:I would keep the article, but make it more clear that Trickster constructed it rather than merely "compiled and transcribed" it - if that is what actually happened, which seems likely. From the FAQ:
::;Did you really write this language all by yourself?
::I produced and edited the book, and I maintain the tutorial. I also maintain copyright on everything connected to the language. I don't answer questions about where the language came from, though. I prefer to leave that to the imagination of Primal's fans.

Primal is a constructed language created by were and furry artist, Trickster, and intended to be spoken as a common tongue in the furry, therian, and otherkin communities. The language has lost significant traction among the above communities since 2012.

Description and use
Primal is richly detailed for a conlang, with around 3000 words (mostly nouns), more than some language constructs, such as Klingon or Quenya. Primal is an analytic (syntax-based) language in subject-verb-object order with no grammatical gender.

In this sense, its grammar is very similar to Chinese. Primal's grammatical structure and its use of general-purpose affixes as modifiers and linguistic markers allows very complicated concepts to be expressed succinctly and unambiguously.

Speech and sound
Primal is nearly invariantly phonetic, with contextually predictable substitutions occurring for only one letter of its alphabet. The alphabet consists of 24 vowels, 23 consonants, and one punctuation mark. Primal is spoken slowly, and all of its letters are English familiar, so the spoken language sounds similar to English.

Primal has its own script and font. The script is useful for representing Primal's large number of phonemes.

Example
The following text in Primal says, "I can speak Primal fairly well." It is pronounced "wee lur-ma-mee wih k'lulf".

A TrueType font (PC/Mac) can be downloaded and installed to allow users to write, or display text written, in Primal.
