There had been numerous previous servers, but this was the only of them to successfully work towards becoming an officially recognised campus club. Within the first few weeks, a faculty member offered to become the group's advisor, should they officially apply to become a club. On October 22, 2025, the club completed the approval process and became an officially recognised club. The founding officers were Port as President, Jia as Treasurer, and Kaiden as Treasurer. The first official meeting as a club would be on October 10th, 2025.

Today Stinger Anthro Community is an active club on Sac State's campus, hosting general meetings every other week. Despite initial concerns raised by some members of the Sac State campus, there have been no major incidents occurring at any meeting since the founding of the club.

== MEMBERSHIP ==
Membership of SACFurs is limited to Sacramento State Students, as well as to club alumni (although this group must not exceed 20% of the organization). No dues are required of members, and members are not required to attend all meetings.

The current officers are as follows, as of Fall of 2025:

* President: PortsNotAlt (Port)
* Vice President: OceanJackalope (Kaiden)
* Treasurer: BunniiDoodles (Jia)
* Community Relations Director: NormieSan (Cy)
* Advertising Director: VACANT
* Fundraising Director: VACANT

== External links ==
* [https://csus.campusgroups.com/SACFurs/home/ Stinger Anthropomorphic Community] - official website
* [https://www.instagram.com/sacstatefurs/ Furs @ Sac State] on Instagram
* [https://www.tiktok.com/@sacstatefurs Sac State Furs] on TikTok
* [https://x.com/SacStateFurs Sac State Furs] on Twitter/X

[[Category:Regional groups]]
[[Category:California]]
