After resigning from his last employment in early 2006 and starting his own business in late 2006, he attended very few conventions for several years, only starting again with 2010.
Pippin has never attended local furmeets regularly, but has sporadically been seen at meets, and occasionally at NorthernFur meets in Birmingham, Manchester and Sheffield.

Yotie Coyote – more commonly known as Yotie – is an engineering fur (mechanical engineer and industrial designer) living near Paris, in France. He is of French-Colombian origin.

Born in 1988, he also answers to the name of Danny, and speaks fluent Spanish, English and French.

FIJAGH is the acronym for "Fandom is Just a God-damned Hobby". The term originated in response to dedicated, or "lifestyler" fans from sci-fi fandom. FIJAGH describes people for whom a particular fandom was definitely not a way of life and was regarded merely as a hobby or relatively minor interest. Such fans may or may not attend dedicated events like conventions, but generally do not consider fandom participation to be a cornerstone of their lifestyle or their primary social circle.

FIJAGH and furry
FIJAGH has been observed to be especially fitting for parts of furry fandom, because of the presence of people who may like anthropomorphic artwork, fiction, and characters, but not consider Furry to be an actual lifestyle, comparing themselves against furry lifestylers. They may engage in practices such as role-playing or creating a Furry avatar for themselves, much as more dedicated fans, but make tend to make it clear they do not devote as much significance to participation.

An opposite view to FIJAGH is FIAWOL or Fandom is a Way of Life. People who see fandom this way have been known to deride more casual fans as "posers", sparking what are at times heated arguments and debates within some fandoms. By contrast, those in the FIJAGH demographic have in certain instances, insisted that those who follow fandom as a lifestyle merely need to "get a life".

Some people on the sidelines between the sporadic outbreaks of warfare between FIAWOL and FIJAGH camps have suggested that both interpretations of fandom can be valid depending on the needs and desires of a given individual. They have also lamented that most of the time, people at the extreme poles of a fandom don't seem to listen.

AnthroChat is an IRC network which was founded by Simba in March 2004. As of 1 February 2008 it has seven servers (five in the USA, one in the UK and one in Germany) and an average of about 380-400 connected users.

History
Portions of this section will probably be merged into a separate page detailing the FurNet/Anthrochat split.

Simba founded Anthrochat in response to the differences of opinion between himself and the administration of FurNet. In late 2003/early 2004, trolls, usually congregating in the channel #safurs, were dealt with by forcible disconnect. This quickly degenerated into a series of challenges to IRCop authority and subsequent network-wide bans of large swaths of users that were found objectionable by FurNet administration.

Simba, an IRCop of FurNet at the time, disagreed with this form of administration and argued for the right to freedom of speech on IRC. FurNet's administrators did not agree, Simba was removed from duty as an IRCop. FurNet administration published the FurNet Code of Conduct ("My freedom starts where your liberty stops").

Simba put out a call for volunteers to create a new, uncensored IRC network which became known as Anthrochat. Anthrochat's Mission Statement is essentially to be an unmoderated, uncensored medium where the IRCops' sole responsibility is to ensure the physical integrity of the network. Censorship, social mores, and personal tastes are relegated to the channel operators of individual channels, and no network-wide enforced decency standards or code of conduct exists. FurNet continues to enforce common decency standards, which some consider subjective to the views of the IRCops online making them at the time. To this day, feelings about the whole split are somewhat sore, and users typically identify with one network or the other, though some connect to both simultaneously.

Anthrochat presently runs a version of the UnrealIRCD server using Anope services. The change in codebase from what Furnet was using was received so positively, particularly because of the vhost feature that allows users to request customized hostmasks, that Furnet itself has mimiced Anthrochat's lead by instituting the same IRC daemon and services package.

From the network's founding in 2004 until the end of 2006, Anthrochat's userbase remained at an average of approximately 250-300 connected users. Usage increased over the course of 2007, and in January 2008 there were an average of approximately 384 users connected.

FursuitTV is an online broadcast, lead by Timduru, that first aired on Saturday, March 4th, 2006, and is dedicated to the spreading of old and new fursuit-themed videos for the enjoyment of fursuit fans. The shown material includes commercials, videos of furry conventions, and other media appearances where fursuits are shown. Often, the source of the video is referenced at the start of the clip by a caption at the top of the screen.

The program is broadcast in the form of a webcast, accessible from the streams section of the main website. The site also lists the date when the show will be broadcast, and the time when the first broadcast will begin. After the initial showing, the program repeats itself several times until the next day. New episodes are broadcast on the night of the first Saturday of each month, and are then made available for download from an archive a few days later.

Music
Music plays a major part of the broadcasts. Episodes 1, 2, and 3 have featured the song My Eyes Are Dry by Scooter as the introduction song, and episodes since have featured a fully instrumental introduction. Thus far, all episodes have ended with a montage of various video clips set to the song Ecstasy by ATB. In addition to plentiful clips of music videos and dances at conventions, some clips have songs played as background music.

IRC
A live broadcast often corresponds with a spike in attendance at the FursuitTV IRC channel, #Fursuittv, on the Anthrochat network. Attendance is highest during the first showing, and drops during subsequent showings. The channel is run by Timduru and Num8, mostly during the first 2 showings of the show. At times other than that of the live broadcasts, the channel tends to be empty.

Leonardo (often shortened to simply Leo) is one of the four Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT). His bandana is blue (originally red) and he is named after the famous Renaissance artist and inventor, Leonardo da Vinci. Having mastered Kenjutsu, his weapon of choice is the katana.

Of the four Ninja Turtles, Leonardo is the closest to their sensei/"father", Splinter. He is also the most responsible of the four Turtles and often acts as the leader of the group.

Mirage Comic's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
In the original TMNT comics by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, Leonardo often acted as the leader of the Turtles, much to the annoyance of his brother, Raphael; he was also somewhat protective of his family. In the end it was Leonardo who managed to finally kill the Shredder.

Recently, Leonardo has managed to make a truce between the Turtles and the Foot Clan and has come to somewhat more friendly terms with Raphael.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1987 Cartoon
Like in the comics, Leonardo was the leader of the Turtles and the most responsible. He was portrayed as an extreme do-gooder who was opposed to extreme violence and who always tried to do the right thing.

Archie Comic's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Adventures
This version of Leo is extremely similar to the 1987 cartoon version, being somewhat of a do-gooder. This version of Leo also had an extreme dislike of firearms. A future version of this Leo was shown to have founded a ninja school.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Movie Series
In the first three installments of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III) Leonardo was shown to be more easygoing, joking around with his brothers. However, he took his leadership role highly seriously, taking responsibility for his brother Raphael's departure from the team and subsequent injury.

In the upcoming movie, TMNT it has so far been revealed that Leo has been travelling the world, honing his skills. He has apparently returned to New York to aid his brothers in battling Max Winters and the resurrected Foot Clan.

Image Comic's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Leonardo's personality in the TMNT Image comics was similar to his other portrayals, except he was slightly more easygoing. In the Image comics Leonardo ends up having one of his hands biten off during a battle against King Komodo. This lost hand is later replaced by a prosthetic one which has a retractable blade in it.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2003 Cartoon
This version of Leonardo is seemingly more based on the Mirage Comics character, though slightly more self-doubting of his leadership skills.

Later in the series Leonardo gains a somewhat more darker personality; this change seemingly brought on by his and his familie's near-death on the Shredder's starship. After this incident Leo had become more obsessive over his training and also more violent, as seen in his savage beating of the Slayer/Rat King.

Later, after guidance from the ancoent one, Leo manages to find inner peace and let go of his anger and self-doubt.

Splinter is the sensei master and father figure of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. According to an interview with Peter Laird, Splinter's character and name were based off the Marvel Comics' sensei Stick who trained Daredevil and Elektra. In all versions of the story, he is a anthropomorphic rat, but his origins often vary depending on the version of the tale told.

In the original comic (as well as the movies, 2003 animated series, and Fast Forward animated series), Splinter was the pet rat of a ninja named Hamato Yoshi. Exceptionally intelligent for his species, Splinter was able to learn his master's art by mimicking his movements while he practiced. Hamato Yoshi and his rat fled to New York to flee Oroku Saki (who would become the Shredder), but were tracked down and Yoshi was murdered. Without a home, Splinter eventually came to live in the city's sewers until a canister of radioactive ooze and a shattered bowl of four baby turtles entered his life. The ooze covered both the rat and the turtles and in time, the ooze mutated them into anthropomorphic beings. Splinter would then name the turtles after his favorite Renaissance artists and raised them as his own sons, training them in the arts of ninjutsu, so that they may one day avenge the death of Hamato Yoshi and slay the Shredder, who had amassed a powerful organization in the New York underworld.

In the 1987 cartoon and following Archie Comics, Splinter's origin was changed to where he was Hamato Yoshi. In hiding after a fall from grace at the hands of Oroku Saki (the Shredder), he found the turtles and kept them as pets, treating them as children. One day, he found them playing in a puddle of ooze. He picked them up and carried them home, but before long, found all of them transforming. The Turtles became anthropomorphic after absorbing Yoshi's human DNA and Yoshi became a rat because of all the rats he dwelt amongst for so long.

After a long life, Splinter's death was shown in issue 10 of Volume 4 of the Mirage comic version of TMNT. His funeral followed in issue 11. Splinter's death was not in battle or the result of murder; it came when he was alone. The cause of his death was never revealed, but he clutches his chest, suggesting a possible heart attack. It is also possible the Turtles old enemy, the Rat King was somehow responsible for Splinter's death, as when Splinter dies the Rat King (or more appropriately, the Rat King's ghost) is seen leering down at him from the shadows.
