FrancoFur used to be a furry community for French-speaking furries based in province of Quebec, Canada. The group was established in August 2009 by Kimen, and then closed officially by its second administrator, Loki, on December 30th 2010.

Shortly after its closure, two new websites were created; Furrybook on December 31st, 2010 and QueFur, on December 30th, 2010. The latter is ran by TheSweeTiger, who stated that the website had been created specifically as a replacement. However, it was chosen by FrancoFur's officials somewhere in January 2011 that FurryBook, now known as a new FrancoFur despite the fact that the website's adress is Qc-Furry.com, would become the official replacement.

It had been specified by group officials that the website and group had not been created to compete with other local groups such as MonFur.

The group's goals were to present a better image of furry fandom to the media; members of the group have been featured on TV5 Québec Canada in September 2009. A large portion of the members also made it Anthrocon 2010 after a 14 hours drive with 3 cars. In the long term, they wanted to have a definition of the word "furry" included in a French dictionary.
