She is in a long distance relationship with Nithcraal, a British gargoyle.

Fursona
MistyStriker's fursona is a female gargoyle. She has black eyes with glowing purple cornea and pupils, short black hair, stubby horns and purple claws that also glow softly. She also has undersized bat-wings that are definitely more cosmetic than actually useful. Misty's body is fairly chubby and bottom-heavy, with small B/C-cup breasts and large hips, rump and thighs. Her legs are digitigrade style, and she has dragonesque earfins and sabre-like fangs.

Misty has numerous facial piercings, with four purple bridge-style on her muzzle, a black ring on her left eyebrow, three purple rings on the middle tine of each earfin, and a purple dangly star from the top of her left earfin. She always wears a purple and black collar with a bone-shaped tag that reads "Lil Sis", and a black cord necklace with a silver Tiwaz rune pendant.

Her personal style is more tomboyish than feminine. She prefers short shorts or baggy knee-length cargo shorts over skirts or dresses, though she will them on occasion. Her t-shirts are usually grungy, geeky or cute and her favourite colours are black, purple, red, blue and gold. She also loves to wear armwarmers and legwarmers, and always has a purple bow tied around her tail just above the spaded tip. Despite her chubbiness, Misty doesn't mind wearing cropped tops or clothing that accentuates her booty. Her favourite style of underwear are boyshorts.

Artwork
Misty has been drawing furries since she found Furcadia back in 2000. She primarily posts her art on Fur Affinity, but also maintains galleries on many of the secondary furry art communities. She primarily works in a digital medium, only occasionally sketching on paper but generally preferring to use her Wacom Intuos and Clip Studio Paint.
MistyStriker:

Ellen Dekker, also known as MistyStriker, is a furry artist who lives in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Born February 3, 1986, in Darwin, Australia; Misty moved to Brisbane in early 2004, spent a year in Melbourne and then moved back to Brisbane. She is in a long-term relationship with KibaWolf and her fursona is a two-tailed wolferret (wolf/ferret hybrid).

Becoming Furry
Misty began drawing animals while in primary school, and began drawing furries when she discovered Furcadia at age 13.
Eventually expanding out beyond Furcadia, Misty discovered VCL and Yahoo!. She applied and succeeded in joining VCL, and began her own Group within Yahoo entitled the "Furry Art Club".

She continued to draw, was provided with Photoshop by her graphics teacher, and was awarded with a Wacom graphics tablet by Inkfox of the drawink LiveJournal community. In 2008 she was introduced to the SAI graphics program and has never looked back.

Fursona
The fursona of MistyStriker is a female wolferret with two tails. Her shoulder length hair is a deep black colour, she has medium blue eyes, and her tongue is pierced with a silver barbell. Her nipples are also pierced with barbells, a horizontal purple in her right and a vertical black in her right nipple. She also has two black tattoos, one ferret paw on her lower left abdomen and one wolf paw on her right buttock next to her tails. Misty's fashion choices range from the simple slogan or picture t-shirt worn with customised graffiti jeans, to all-out crazy raver clothing with rainbows and glowing accessories. She constantly prefers pants to skirts, and never dresses in anything overly feminine.

Variations
MistyStriker is a polymorph, and can shape-shift as she chooses. Any form she takes on is generally a variation of her original wolferret appearance, with the same colourings, markings, and clothing. The forms listed below are just a few examples, as Misty can create any kind of new form as she wishes.
*Mistywuff: A non-anthro form of MistyStriker, she is a quadrupedal two-tailed wolferret complete with the standard purple collar.
*MiniMisty: A miniature version, standing roughly 6 inches tall. Her appearance is exactly the same as her regular form, only smaller in scale.
*MistyRaptor: A velociraptor form, non-anthropomorphic. She has the same colourings as her original form but with only one tail.
*MistyMaid: While still an anthro wolferret, MistyMaid dons a customised French maid's outfit for doing house chores.

Character evolution
MistyStriker began in the year 2000 as a black panther with white markings who was originally a descendant of a distant royal family. But somehow one day the artist chose to represent herself as a simple wolf in the infamous Bad Day picture. Since then, the species has stuck, and while she has undergone slight changes in appearance and style, MistyStriker has remained true to the artist behind her. The change to a wolf-ferret hybrid in 2006 was brought on by Misty realising that she had more characteristics inside herself that were other than wolf. She had also desired for a little bit more of originality and personality in her appearance.

External links
MistyStriker
* Misty at Fur Affinity
* Misty at VCL
* Misty on Facebook
* Misty at Twitter
* Misty on Steam
* Misty on Tumblr

* Misty at Fur Affinity
* Misty at VCL
* Misty on Facebook
* Misty at Twitter
* Misty on Steam
* Misty on Tumblr

MistyStriker: Occupants information updated. Entry shortened as house is now defunct.

The Den was a furry share-house in Arana Hills, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It became defunct in mid-2011 when the last remaining household members each went separate ways.

History
The Den was formed on April 26, 2005 in the Brisbane suburb of Carina Heights. The founding furs were Jaffa Ferel, Dimenianz and MistyStriker. As with most furry households, the occupants changed frequently due to the drama that follows furs around. MistyStriker //en.wikifur.com/wiki/MistyStriker 2009-11-17T23:25:17Z

MistyStriker: Social life and external links

Ellen Dekker, also known as MistyStriker, is a furry artist who lives in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia in a furry share-house called The Den. Born February 3, 1986, in Darwin, Australia; Misty moved to Brisbane in early 2004, spent a year in Melbourne and then moved back to Brisbane. Her fursona is a two-tailed wolferret (wolf/ferret hybrid).

She now maintains her own website, FurFetch'd Creations, and her art also resides on the online archives VCL, Fur Affinity and deviantART. Her commission rate, while not steady enough to provide a stable source of income, allows her time to continue to draw for herself, something she continues to be passionate about. She currently works at Night Owl, and has also begun to dabble in the world of custom furry-themed hoodies and hats.

Misty is a raver by nature. She loves electronic and dance music, including the Bonkers mixes, but also appreciates most other genres of music. She loves to collect anything rainbow coloured and has also decorated more than one pair of shoes with fabric paints. Misty also has three piercings, which are echoed within her fursona design.

Social life
Misty's social life online exists mainly within three areas, Furstralia, Furnet and MSN. Her username within these areas is MistyStriker. Misty runs a channel within Furnet called #brisfurs, a gathering place on IRC for the furry community of Brisbane and Queensland. She also frequents #artcommissions, #thetrollfactory and #Rivfur. Misty is a Moderator on the Furstralia forums, so spends time every day reading forum posts.

Misty has attended RivFur from 2007 to 2009. She collaborated with Bingo Dingo to make chibi conbadges in 2007, Furry ID cards in 2008, and special keyrings in 2009 for the event. She has also attended the 2004 and 2007 MiDfur furmeets, being the winner of the t-shirt design competition for 2007 where the design was transferred onto various colours of t-shirts and hoodies.

So far, Misty plans to attend RivFur in 2010.

Second Life
Misty can be found in the online community of Second Life under the name of Oboroten Dorn. She is generally an otter, but also has gargoyle, kirin and tigress avatars. Her primary source of income within Second Life is as a DJ. Working under the moniker "DJ Cutie," Misty DJs at GYC, Vixen's Paradise, and Dragon Spire. Her time-slots are 10pm-midnight on Friday and Saturday nights at GYC, and 8pm-10pm Saturday nights at Vixen's Paradise. The Dragon Spire nightclub doesn't work with a DJ roster system, so DJs can broadcast whenever they wish.

External links
MistyStriker
* FurFetch'd Creations
* Misty at deviantART
* Misty at VCL
* Misty at Fur Affinity
* Misty at LiveJournal
* Misty on Facebook
* Misty at Twitter
* Misty on Steam

MistyStriker: Housemates edited

The Den is a furry share-house in Arana Hills, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Its occupants (Denizens) are Bingo Dingo, KibaWolf, MistyStriker and Claw-o-form.

History
The Den was formed on April 26, 2005 in the Brisbane suburb of Carina Heights. The founding furs were Jaffa Ferel, Dimenianz and MistyStriker. As with most furry households, the occupants changed frequently due to the drama that follows furs around. After problems with the current real estate and repair requests to the house being ignored, The Den was relocated to Arana Hills in June 2008 and was integrated into a previous furry house knows as The Burrows.

Past Occupants
* Jaffa Ferel: April 2005 - September 2006.
* Dimenianz: April 2005 - August 2005.
* MistyStriker: April 2005 - September 2007.*
* Dimruthien VerenLaulaja: August 2005 - June 2007.
* Moreth: September 2006 - July 2007.
* Rhiannon (non-fur): July 2007 - December 2007.
* Aldo (non-fur): June 2008 - November 2008.
* Tyresk: June 2008 - December 2008.
* Molly (non-fur): December 2008 - May 2009.
* Jet Dingo and Kidsune: September 2008 - October 2009.
* Flick: June 2009 - November 2009.

Footnote: Misty spent a year down in Melbourne before returning to The Den.

Social facts
The Den attends the Brisbane Coffee Night every Tuesday. They also attend monthly Brisfurs art jams.
MistyStriker: /* Social life */

Ellen Dekker, also known as MistyStriker, is a furry artist who lives in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia in a furry share-house called The Den. Born February 3, 1986, in Darwin, Australia; Misty moved to Brisbane in early 2004, spent a year in Melbourne and then moved back to Brisbane. Her fursona is a two-tailed wolferret (wolf/ferret hybrid).

Social life
Misty's social life online exists mainly within three areas, LiveJournal, Furnet and MSN. Her username within these areas is MistyStriker. Misty runs a channel within Furnet called #brisfurs, a gathering place on IRC for the furry community of Brisbane and Queensland. She also frequents #ozfurs, #artcommissions, #thetrollfactory and #Rivfur.

Misty has attended the 2007 and 2008 RivFur furmeets. She collaborated with Bingo Dingo to make chibi conbadges in 2007, and Furry ID cards in 2008 for the event. She has also attended the 2004 and 2007 MiDfur furmeets, being the winner of the t-shirt design competition for 2007 where the design was transferred onto various colours of t-shirts and hoodies.

She plans to attend RivFur again in 2009, and will be collaborating with Bingo again in another art project.
She also plans to attend MiDfur in 2009.

Misty always wears a simple purple collar with a green RSPCA rectangle metal keyring, and a yellow hexagonal registration tag.

Second Life
Misty can be found in the online community of Second Life under the name of Oboroten Dorn.

* FurFetch'd Creations
* Misty at deviantART
* Misty at VCL
* Misty at Fur Affinity
* Misty at LiveJournal
* Misty on Facebook
* Misty at MyFursona
* Misty on Steam

Born February 3, 1986, in Darwin, Australia; Misty moved to Brisbane in early 2004, spent a year in Melbourne and then moved back to Brisbane. After moving between various housing arrangements, including being a founder of The Den, she now resides in version II of "The Den" in north Brisbane, with Bingo Dingo, KibaWolf, Tyresk, Jet and a non-fur named Al. Her fursona is a two-tailed wolferret (wolf/ferret hybrid).

Becoming Furry
Possibly a furry from an early age, Misty first picked up a pencil and began scribbling animals when she was around 10 years old. She showed an affinity for animals that echoed in her art, never choosing to draw people unless dictated. Through her Internet access while visiting her father twice a week, Misty discovered Furcadia when she was 13, an incident that changed her life from that moment onward.

Second Life
Misty can be found in the online community of Second Life under the name of Oboroten Dorn. She is generally a black gargoyle with purple tentacles, but can also be seen as a white and rainbow kirin with water tentacles.
MistyStriker: Now defunct

The Burrows is a now-defunct furry sharehouse in Arana Hills, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was re-named in early 2008 when a large amount of furs from "The Den" sharehouse moved in and the previous housemates vacated to other areas.

History
The Burrows was officially named 10th July 2007.

Originally it started with Kiba as the only fur, but as more non-furs moved out and furries took their places, it finally became a fur house. Icirus first moved in with Shade, and soon suggested FoxofFire move in and fill up another empty room. As FoxofFire was moving in, Neox stayed with him for a few nights and liked the house so much he ended up moving in. In that time, another non-fur moved in and, learning about the other house-mates, soon became fur-friendly.

Mandy was one of the orignal house-mates in the house with Kiba, and didn't mind any of the furs moving in as she was also fur-friendly.

As well as being the only two non-furs in the house, Mandy and Al are also the only straight people in The Burrows and are sometimes referred to as the "breeders" or the "pets" of the furs, all in play and fun.

Mandy moved out at the start of 2008 due to her new boyfriend.

Moreth moved to Sydney, FoxofFire moved into "The Cave", Neox, icirus and Shade moved elsewhere. Al still resides in the house.

Party Time?
The question of "Party time?" was a regular question asked around The Burrows and the resulting parties are mostly spontaneous and unplanned, save for outings to get dinner from local restaurants. One time, the residents of The Burrows decided going to Night Owl down the road for snacks which quickly turned into going down there dressed up in 70's style, which then turned into walking around that area dressed like that for the evening and on the way home a trip to the bottle shop somehow happened and the rest of the night was pool, drinks, poker and "spin-the-bottle/truth-or-dare."

stub

MistyStriker //en.wikifur.com/wiki/The_Den_(furry_house) 2008-08-02T07:03:08Z

MistyStriker: Major update of location and inhabitants, with additional quirks added.

The Den is a furry share-house in Arana Hills, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Its occupants are Bingo Dingo, KibaWolf, MistyStriker, Tyresk, Jet, and Al, who is a non-fur.

History
The Den has been in existence since April 26, 2005, when Jaffa Ferel, MistyStriker, and Dimenianz moved into the first house in Carina Heights. In August, 2005, Dimenianz moved out and approximately a week later Dimruthien VerenLaulaja moved to Brisbane from Darwin, Australia. In January 2006, Bingo Dingo also came to call The Den his permanent home. In September 2006, after financial dramas, Jaffa moved out and relocated to Adelaide, Australia. Moreth was looking for a place, so he decided to make The Den his haunt and rental balance was restored. In April 2007, Dimruthien moved back to her hometown of Darwin, Australia, reducing the numbers down to three once again. In the following July, Moreth moved out into The Burrows to live with his partner, FoxofFire, and Rhiannon moved in a week later. The Den lost all its founding members after Misty also moved out, relocating to Melbourne in September 2007. The Den briefly entertained another non-fur replacement until Kiba moved in and he moved out.

Due to problems with the real estate, The Den moved from Carindale to Arana Hills in early 2008. Numerous housemates were added, including Misty, who returned from Melbourne and brought Jet with her. Jet's mate Kidsune is also scheduled to move in.

Social facts
Occupants of The Den usually find themselves in the company of Nikita Wolfpaw, Foxy Malone, FoxofFire, Dash and Milesway on Tuesdays for Coffee Night. They also get together with the aforementioned furs for random rollerblading sessions at a skate rink in Ipswich, which also include Spex and Nightintodream.

People who have invaded the house and stayed a week or more include Hammond, PsychoSmiley, Tursiae, Hendikins and Moreth, who liked it so much he moved in.

Quirks
Carina Heights House
* The toilet is in the living room.
* Despite the fact that The Asylum is more appropriately named for this quirk, The Den has bars on each window.
* The Den hosts two different sofas which reside on the balcony with the extra fridge.
* There have been claims of the doorbell being haunted, as it goes off with nobody at the front door to ring it, sometimes even at 2am.
* As with many typical furry gatherings, the Denizens and their guests usually congregate in doorways or the hallway for conversations, sometimes even sitting on the floor in the hallway where the three bedroom doors and the bathroom door meet to carry out a conversation.
* On the sidewalk in front of the house next door 'This way to the Den' is carved into the concrete. In front of the actual Den, part of the sidewalk has the Denizen's names carved into the concrete, as well as 'Furry Pride', 'DV *heart* PS' and a pawprint.
* Misty, Bingo, Dimruthien and Jaffa are stars in a documentary made by university students about furries. The documentary is called The Velvet Underground.

Arana Hills House
* There are six bedrooms, one of which does not have any windows.
* Due to not being able to drill holes in the floor, everyone's net cables go -outside- the house and re-enter downstairs to join the router.
* There are three cats - Sambuca (Boo) who belongs to Kiba, Disaster (Dizzy) who belongs to Misty, and Tiger (Kitty) who belongs to Al.
* A large unfriendly dog is known to appear in the backyard at random times during the night.
* Peoples congregate in the hallways in this house as well, usually near the top of the stairs that lead to the lower level.
* The mailbox barely stands upright.
* The walls and floors are notoriously thin, leading to some people hearing things they wish they hadn't.

MistyStriker: Location changed. Social life updated.

Her first attempts at furry art were crude versions of a portrait set for Furcadia.

She now maintains her own website, FurFetch'd Creations, and her art also resides on the online archives VCL, Fur Affinity and deviantART. Her commission rate, while not steady enough to provide a stable source of income, allows her time to continue to draw for herself, something she continues to be passionate about. She also studies a course in Animal Care via correspondence.

Social life
Misty's social life online exists mainly within three areas, LiveJournal, Furnet and MSN. Her username within these areas is MistyStriker. Misty runs a channel within Furnet called #brisfurs, a gathering place on IRC for the furry community of Brisbane and Queensland. She also frequents #ozfurs, #artcommissions, #FurryDramaFest, #thetrollfactory, #MiDfur, #SafeHaven and #melbournefurs.

Misty attended the 2007 and 2008 RivFur furmeets.

Misty always wears a simple purple collar with a green RSPCA rectangle metal keyring, and a yellow hexagonal registration tag.

Second Life
Misty can be found in the online community of Second Life under the name of Oboroten Dorn. She is generally a black gargoyle with purple tentacles, but can also be seen as a white and rainbow kirin with water tentacles. As a model for Anthrogasm Magazine, she appears as a white and rainbow tiger. Her primary lurking spots are Dragon Spire, Furnation Prime, Club Rainbow Tiger, Furry Vermin and Luskwood. Sources of SecondLife income (otherwise known as Lindens) come from working as an artistic co-ordinator and model for Anthrogasm, a DJ at Dragon Spire and Anthrogasm's Dragon's Nest, and an occasional dancer.

External links
MistyStriker
* FurFetch'd Creations
* Misty at deviantART
* Misty at VCL
* Misty at Fur Affinity
* Misty at LiveJournal
* Misty on Facebook
* Misty at MyFursona
* Misty on Steam

MistyStriker: 2008 Meets added. IRC channels edited.

Ellen Dekker, also known as MistyStriker, is a furry artist who lives in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Born February 3, 1986, in Darwin, Australia; Misty moved to Brisbane in early 2004 and then moved down to Melbourne in September 2007. After moving between various housing arrangements, including being a founder of The Den, she now resides in an unnamed furry share-house with Tursiae and ShivalWolf.

Her first attempts at furry art were crude versions of a portrait set for Furcadia.

Social life
Misty's social life online exists mainly within three areas, LiveJournal, Furnet and MSN. Her username within these areas is MistyStriker. Misty runs a channel within Furnet called #brisfurs, a gathering place on IRC for the furry community of Brisbane and Queensland. She also frequents #ozfurs, #artcommissions, #dragons, #FurryDramaFest, #thetrollfactory, #furaffinity and #melbournefurs.

Misty attended the 2007 RivFur furmeet. She collaborated with Bingo Dingo to make chibi conbadges for the event. She has also attended the 2004 and 2007 MiDfur furmeets, being the winner of the t-shirt design competition for 2007 where the design was transferred onto various colours of t-shirts and hoodies.

In 2008 she will be attending RivFur in Brisbane. She will once again collaborate with Bingo for character art to those who register and provide descriptions. No plans exist as to her possible attendance at MiDfur X.

Misty always wears a simple purple collar with a green RSPCA rectangle metal keyring, and a yellow hexagonal registration tag.

Second Life
Misty can be found in the online community of Second Life under the name of Oboroten Dorn.

* FurFetch'd Creations
* Misty at deviantART
* Misty at VCL
* Misty at Fur Affinity
* Misty at LiveJournal
* Misty on Facebook
* Misty at MyFursona
* Misty on Steam

Misty's fashion choices range from the simple slogan or picture t-shirt worn with customised graffiti jeans, to all-out crazy raver clothing with rainbows and glowing accessories. She constantly prefers pants to skirts, and never dresses in anything overly feminine. Misty always wears a simple purple collar with a green RSPCA rectangle metal keyring, and a yellow hexagonal registration tag.

Second Life
Misty can be found in the online community of Second Life under the name of Oboroten Dorn.

* FurFetch'd Creations
* Misty at deviantART
* Misty at VCL
* Misty at Fur Affinity
* Always laughed the loudest - Misty's LiveJournal
* Misty on Facebook
