Mindspillage: Reverted edit of 65.80.40.46, changed back to last version by GreenReaper

Foxy, whose real name is Sarah Miller, is a 25-year old Pennsylvania native. She has also lived in several other states, such as New York and Oklahoma. Miss Fennec has a bachelor of the arts in Journalism, but is currently seeking a new career. Foxy is engaged to a handsome weasel named Crash (or Ed, as he is known IRL). No wedding date has been set, but the couple have been living together for nearly a year.
__NOTOC__
History
Sarah has been a life-long furry, starting at the tender age of two. Her artwork at that time consisted of little circles with smiley faces, ears and tails. Throughout her life, she has represented herself as a number of various anthropomorphic characters. She started as a pony... then a Dalmatian... and a bunny... and a lioness... finally settling on a cheetah-kangaroo rat hybrid called Cailin. In college, however (sometime in late 2002), Sarah found her true calling as a fennec fox named <s>Chattan</s> Juliana (known as "Foxy"). Around this time, she discovered that there were other artists like her online... yes, the furry fandom. Since then, she has trawled all around the internet and has friends and clients all over the world.

Fursona
Juliana Fennec is a medium-sized anthropomorphic fennec fox. She is softly built with plenty of curves. Her hair is of medium-length and may vary in color (usually is a medium reddish-brown). Unlike most fennecs, Juliana lacks the dark tail and ear tips. She is very pale cream in color. Her eyes are green, blue, or hazel, depending on her mood.

Juliana has shape-shifting tendencies. She has been known to take on the shape of a pretty ringtail (cacomistle), with pink-tipped white hair and lavender eyes.

Activities
Foxy has a fondness for drawing badges for other furries. She has not yet been to any conventions, but hopes to attend AnthroCon and Mephit Furmeet in 2006. She enjoys collecting furry comics, prints, and My Little Ponies.

One of Sarah's passions in life is meteorology. She is an amateur storm chaser, and has witnessed two funnel clouds and a tornado (all three in PA, of all places). Her deepest desire is to become a professional in this field.

Miscellaneous
Some of Foxy's friends include, and are not limited to:
Crashska, Teekachu, SR Foxley, TM Fox, Wicked Sairah, Aegis Fox, Paranoid Panther, DH Lawrence, JoeyPoey, Anaaki, Twapa, Ironpaw, Alorene, Coastal Artist, Kliefox, Nefermoon, Trixi, TabbieWolf, Soryane, Talbona, TFWB, Winged Siamese, and Zenith.

It is to be known that Miss Fennec does not prefer Ford OR Chevy. She is all about the German (and Japanese) cars.

Mindspillage: Reverted edit of 71.75.103.231, changed back to last version by GreenReaper

A bhunny is an attractive rabbit female. The term is perhaps comparable to vixen, but with a rabbit instead of a fox.

Many associate the term with the character Rhonda from the comic strip Roomies, but it is unclear if the term originated there.

Hamtaro

2006-04-24T21:55:57Z

Mindspillage: Reverted edit of 71.75.103.231, changed back to last version by Mindspillage

Hamtaro is a cutesy anime from Japan that may have been ignored in favor of popular (albeit allegedly cliched) animes like Dragon Ball Z and Mobile Suit Gundam.

The series first premiered in Japan as Tottoko Hamutaro (とっとこハム太郎) on July 7th, 2000 on TV Tokyo. The series became so popular it spawned 4 movies called: Tottoko Hamutaro: Hamu Hamu Land Daibouken, Tottoko Hamutaro: Ham Ham Ham~Jya! Maboroshi no Princess, Tottoko Hamutaro: Ham Ham Grand Prix Aurora Tani no Kiseki and Tottoko Hamutaro: Hamutaro to Fushigi no Oni no Ehonto.

During Hamtaro's success in Japan, Mini Moni made a group for Hamtaro's films called MiniHamuzu (Mini Hams). The series came to Poland as Hamtaro – wielkie przygody małych chomików, then in Italy as Hamtaro, Piccoli Criceti Grande Avventure and then VIZ Media picked up Hamtaro for the US and made it's debut on Cartoon Network's Toonami on June 3rd, 2002.

Plot
5th-grader Laura Haruna owns a hamster, and his name is Hamtaro. After moving into a new town, Hamtaro finds that he's in the company of lots of different hamsters, making up a group of hamster friends that go on crazy adventures through the city. Before they save Laura and other humans from nasty predicaments, however, they have to learn how to save themselves.

The Animal Song

2006-04-24T21:55:56Z

Mindspillage: Reverted edit of 71.75.103.231, changed back to last version by Mwalimu

The Animal Song is by the pop duo Savage Garden from Brisbane, Australia. From their 1999 album Affirmation, it became a hit single that reached #19 in the USA, #16 in the UK, and #3 in Australia. Other hits by the duo include I Want You, Truly Madly Deeply, and I Knew I Loved You.

The Animal Song has a very bouncy, upbeat rhythm. The lyrics speak of a desire to get away when all the stresses of life start to add up, of wanting to break free and live like animals. As such it strikes a chord with many furry fans, who have similar feelings about their lives and their reasons for participating in the fandom. Some of the lyrics are ambiguous, and they assume a rather idealized, Jungle-Book-esque view of life as an animal.

While the lyrics may not stand up well to a deeper analysis, it is a feel-good song that many furry fans count as a favorite; some even consider it an (unofficial) 'national anthem' of the furry fandom.

Mindspillage: Reverted edit of 62.252.0.9, changed back to last version by 24.130.255.230

Fred Patten was born in 1940. He is considered one of the founders of the furry fandom. He was the official editor of the Rowrbrazzle APA from 1989 to 2005, having joined the APA in 1984. He has also been active in Furthest North Crew and North American Fur, amongst other places. He has been the furry book reviewer for Yarf! (1990-2003), Claw & Quill (2004-2005), and Anthro (2005-present) magazines. He was the founder of the Ursa Major Awards in 2001.

Outside of furry fandom, Patten is also considered one of the founders of anime fandom in the United States, and one of the country's leading experts on anime and manga. He has been a long-time member of the Los Angeles Science Fantasy Society (whose clubhouse has often been used for collating issues of Rowrbrazzle), and was a founding member of the Organization; the founders of ConFurence were also members of C/FO.

Patten won a Ursa Major Award in 2003 for Best In Show.

Sadly, Patten's activities in fandom have been curtailed due to a stroke he suffered in March 2005. As of June 2005, he was recovering, but still under medical care. He has donated hundreds of boxes containing his library of furry books and fanzines to the University of California, Riverside library.

Commission

2006-04-24T21:55:36Z

Mindspillage: Reverted edit of 62.252.0.9, changed back to last version by Kattywampus

A commission is a request by an art patron to an artist to create a work of art specifically for them. Furries typically commission conbadges and portraits of their characters from artists.

Not all artists accept commissions, and those that do typically have restrictions on what kinds of commissions they may draw, limited by subject matter, activities depicted, or media used.

Prices for commissions vary widely by artist and complexity of the work sought, but the average patron can expect to pay $20 or more for a conbadge, and $50 or more for a colored character picture from a well-known artist. Adult commissions may be charged at a higher rate, if they are accepted at all. Some notable artists, like Herbie Hamill or Wookiee, can easily fetch $500 or more for a character model sheet.

Kunagnos

2006-04-24T21:55:33Z

Mindspillage: Reverted edit of 62.252.0.9, changed back to last version by Chibiabos

Kunagnos was a unicorn stallion who worshipped the equine goddess Epona on HavenMUSH. Though unknown to both, he was the ancestor (equally) to Caspian and Mahxissa.

He was old, even for Unicorn standards, and close to losing his physical incarnation on HavenMUSH when he appeared. He took it upon himself to try and guide Caspian to bring his cousin Maxhissa back from the vile evil of worshipping Balor and back into Epona's herd. Because of an ancient code, he could not tell Caspian outright that he was part unicorn, that he was Kunagnos descendant, or that he and Mahxissa were cousins ... instead he did his best to guide Caspian to uncover these truths for himself.

Heebas is a serial science-fiction/fantasy/comedy comic drawn and written by Scotty Arsenault. It was published in the general audience comic anthology Furrlough, and is generally acknowledged as one of the best stories serialized there. The first issue appeared in Furrlough #48, December 1996, and the conclusion in #100, April 2001. The plot concerns three omnipotent and immortal beings, and the inherent difficulty of their situation.

Main Characters
; Marble
: Marble is, or at least is in the form of, a sable-coloured ferret. She is compassionate and kind-hearted, at first only using her powers to live and observe endless mortal lives. In the story her mortal incarnation is the governess of Princess Reeba; this changes when she meets Yebbo. Slightly smaller in stature and occasionally short-tempered.

; Yebbo
: Yebbo is a grey mouse. In marked contrast to Marble, he prefers his powers without moderation and tends to bend the universe as he sees fit. His latest experiment, making Reeba a Heeba and his eternal companion, is complicated by Marble, who thinks his attitude is reckless and irresponsible.

; Reeba
: Reeba begins the story as a normal albino mouse princess in the medieval kingdom of Burritzkoldt. She quickly becomes entangled in the struggle between Yebbo, who wants to take her for his own, and Marble, who feels a duty to protect her. She becomes a Heeba herself - mentally unstable, and the most powerful of the three.

Boomer Express is a furry comic strip by Tyrnn Eaveranth and Jakebe Sunraven about a pair of kangaroos named Jared and Victoria, who work as delivery workers, when it "absolutely positively needs to be pouched overnight"

Plot
When the two 'roos are called upon to deliver a mysterious package to a top secret lab, they are attacked by a shady character, and the package, a mysterious talking orb, melds itself with Jared. He and Vikki are then chased into a portal to another world inhabited by shapeshifting golems. When Jared begins to grow in size, he learns the orb is a Dragon, and that he's gained the power to fly. Also, Vikki is taught simple spells. The dragon, though, was intended for a prince, in yet another world. One portal later, Jared, Vikki, and one of the golems are sent to a medieval world of knights and castles... and one very large ancient deity with which our heroes must do battle.

This comic has very prevalent macro themes.

Japanese mythology

Mindspillage: Reverted edit of 62.252.0.9, changed back to last version by Sine

Many elements from japanese mythology have become widely known via the popularity of manga and animé. The various animal spirits from the mythos particularly lend themselves to furry art and characters. Popular species include:
* kitsune (multi-tailed foxes)
* tanuki (raccoon dogs)
* tengu (crows)
More obscure, but appropriate, species also include:
* houkou (five-tailed dogs)
* nekomata (two-tailed cats)
* kamaitachi (sickle-wielding weasels)

WikiFur:Furpile

Mindspillage: Reverted edit of 70.107.26.73, changed back to last version by Mwalimu

WikiFur's furpile is a great way to get the attention of editors to a page that you think needs it, whether that page is currently good in most areas but needs improving, is little more than a stub, or doesn't even exist yet! Each item in the furpile is posted on the front page on the specified day.

Adding to the furpile
To add a page to the furpile, simply click one of the red links below and insert the link to the article(s) that you wish to see improved (or perhaps created), in the format that you want it to be shown (usually bold). There is no limit on the number of pages you can list, and you can list any particular page up to once a week if you feel it still needs improving - please don't list an article that's already scheduled to be shown, though!

You can also list categories or WikiFur pages if you feel they need improvement. What will you add to the furpile?

Note: If you wish to add a page yourself, just put the name into the search box, click Go, and then click the red link.

Lark & Key, which ran in a British anthology title, concerned the exploits of Travis Key, a canine agent for Galactic Security. Upon apprehending a thieving hare going under the name of "Lark," Key fell into a series of escallating issues involved in trying to deliver the insanely optimistic Lark to a stern and much-deserved justice. For his part, Lark wasted no time in promoting himself as the detective's "partner," in the hopes of winning a technical parole.

Drawn into an intergalactic conspiracy, the duo found themselves on the run from the sinister Hawke, while they tried to discover the nature of a mysterious gadget Lark had filched. The series ended in mid-stream due to a formatting change at the publishers.

The script of Lark & Key was by Mark Barnard and the artwork was by Terrie Smith, both of whom also created Havoc, Inc. for Radio Comix.

CabinCon is a furmeet that is hosted by Sayh and Swandog. As the name implies, it takes place in a cabin. Attempts will be made to run the meet every year at summertime, as long as there are no conflicting issues to take care of that particular year.

History
CabinCon has been held approximately eight times over the years. Prior to 2004, in Sayh's cabin near Töcksfors in Sweden. In 2004, however, the cabin had to be sold, and about a year later a new one was acquired; this one located near Vinstra in Norway. The first meet that was hosted here took place in July 2005.

Cape May Fur Meet

Mindspillage: Reverted edit of 68.202.53.196, changed back to last version by DuncanDaHusky

The Cape May Fur Meet is a gathering of furs on the weekend before Memorial Day in the county of Cape May, New Jersey.

The CMFM was started when LionkingCMSL offered furs rides on the Cape May Seashore Lines (CMSL) when he heard about AC2000. However, being in South Jersey, LK thought AC meant Atlantic City, and did not find out until later that it was AnthroCon and it was held in Valley Forge, PA, that year. So, to make good on his promise he started CMFM.

The thing that makes CMFM unique in the furry con/meet/fest scheme of things is that it uses a chartered train as part of the meet itself.

2006 will see CMFM celebrating its 7th year. This fact, along with the Cape May Seashore Lines, the hosting railroad, 10th anniversary has lent to the theme of "7-10 Split: Spare some time for CMFM" with guest of honor John "the Gneech" Robey.

Asmodeaus Darkclaw, also known as Azzy by his friends, is the fursona of JP Gleason. He is a vampiric lynx, black-furred with crimson markings dabbed on with what looks like blood. He once belonged to the clan ruled by his father Rep Darkclaw, and his brother and sister, Semaj and Sekhmet, ruled over their underground organization. Asmodeaus couldnt live with how his father ruled, for he did not embrace the darkness as completely as he did. He left their ranks, branded a deserter he travels on his own, trying to find purpose for his existance among the mortals.

Asmodeaus is usually depicted wearing a leather biker jacket and torn jeans, but is known to wear more traditional attire on occasion, donning a dark leather tunic and black cloak.

Raika Castillo

Mindspillage: Reverted edit of 68.202.53.196, changed back to last version by Mindspillage

Raika Castillo is a deishling character created by Elec. She is the younger sister of Beebi Castillo, and has appeared in several stories including Void of Illusions and Void of Illusions II. Her age also occasionally varies from story to story. She is most commonly seen as a preteen (10-13) and a young adult (18-22).

History
While her brother's special abilities weren't apparent until he was almost 12, Raika's were revealed when she was barely two years old. Her parents were horrified at this and were about to get rid of her, when they learned of an experimentation program. They dropped her off at the laboratory where these experiments were taking place. There, she was infused with the DNA of an ancient dragon.

The idea was that Raika was to serve as a guardian of an unknown organization. However, even at this early age, Raika refused to have her life laid out in front of her. After using her warp (teleport) ablility to evacuate the building of every living thing, she used her lightning attack on some chemicals before escaping just as the building exploded.

Albino

2006-04-24T21:50:52Z

Mindspillage: Reverted edit of 70.231.172.219, changed back to last version by GreenReaper

An albino is an individual which displays the genetic anomaly albinism, the lack of an important chemical pigment in the outer skin.

Albinism
In plants such as maize, albinism is deadly because the lack of chlorophyll prevents an otherwise green plant from creating the sugar it needs to live. In animals, the pigment is melanin or other related chemicals, the lack of which makes the skin and hair white or very pale. The eyes of an albino are either pink (colored by nothing but blood and tissue) or pale blue. Albinos are striking because they generally differ from other examples of their species or breeds only in the absence of color. Lacking the ability to tan, the albino's skin is especially susceptible to sunburn and, in extreme cases, melanoma.

In some domestic animals such as ferrets and mice, albinism is sometimes a desirable trait.

Albinism is the opposite of melanism, a higher-than-average amount of melanin.

There was an incident at this year's ConFurence when the television crew from The Man Show showed up and began filming and trying to interview people. While there was speculation that Darrel Exline had "sold out", it turned out that it was really the hotel that got paid $1,500 by The Man Show for the rights to film there. This was due, in part, to the fact that ConFurence had fallen short of its room block and owed the hotel thousands of dollars. The footage was never aired.

Kirru

2006-04-24T21:46:14Z

Mindspillage: Reverted edit of 66.36.147.108, changed back to last version by GreenReaper

<div style="float:right;clear:right">__TOC__</div>
Kirrus are one of the alien furry species in the Furscape MUCK. They were first mentioned by unci as living on the fictional planet Jalan (also named Wildplanet).

Key Facts
*Body size (standing): ca. 1500 mm
*Weight: ca. 40 kg
*Origin: Kirronia
*Systematics: vertebrates, mammals (not related to any species on Earth)
*Extremities: four (two arms, two legs)
*Walking mode: bipedal, upright
*Fur colour: predominantly green
*Life span: ca. 60 years

Physical Description
Kirrus vaguely resemble a large squirrel, with pointed snout, large bushy tail and tufted ears. They have soft fur, ranging in colour from grey to green, with light grey or white accents. The large green eyes are of an alien shape. Hands and feet have five fingers each, with the first and fifth opposable, facilitating both climbing in trees and doing precision work. They can use all four paws as "hands" if needed, but are capable of bipedal walking as well. Whiskers are present near the nose-tip and above the eyes. With this body shape, they are best adapted to an arboreal environment.

Chemical receptors embedded in the skin of the insides of hands and feet enable the Kirrus to sense substances present in and on the ground.

Taking breath is done via the nose only, and exhaling via the mouth only.

Both genders have a pouch in the lower abdominal region, used to carry their children until they are about a year old. The pouch is sometimes also used for carrying other objects.

Diet
Omnivores by their teeth and digestive system, most Kirrus are vegetarians. They eat wild plants, as well as ones grown on their farms. They are well adapted to the plants growing on Jalan and have developed a refined cuisine, their meals mostly consist of salads with fruit juices and wild spices and are usually not cooked. Kirru recipes are known as exotic delicacies among recoms and can be found at other planets as well, though they depend a lot on ingredients growing in the wilderness of Jalan, which are only exported in small quantities.

Society
Kirrus are social beings, forming families and living in groups of at least 20 members in small villages, to large cities. As a logical consequence of their natural adaptations, they prefer living in forests, and their villages and cities are usually a dense forest with treehouses that are hard to reach for non-arboreal species.

The small communites at least are very egalitarian societies. On their home planet Kirronia a very high level of social structure, science and technology was archived, even though their organization may appear chaotic to outsiders, but Kirrus are also capable to live in less advanced conditions on other planets. Their curiosity prepares them to be good scientists, and to learn about and from other species. Both science and crafts are valued among the Kirru. A good number of trees and other plants were modified by Kirru breeders, to provide better strength for treehouses (their preferred living environment), or for food and medicine purposes.

Living in serial monogamy, Kirru parents raise their child (or children, up to three) together, until the young reach the age of ten. With ten years, Kirrus are full-grown and considered adults.

Despite being covered with fur, Kirrus wear clothes, notably trousers (with opening for the tail) and protective clothing. Heads, hands, feet and tail almost always remain uncovered, unless protection from hazards is required, and the pouch normally remains accessible. Wearing no clothes at all is not generally considered inappropriate. Clothing is primarily worn for ceremonial purposes and some practical functions such as protection against rain or having pockets.

Language
Kirrus living at Jalan have a common language, consisting of melodious chirping sounds and hard consonants. Each type of word has a specific ending - for example, male names end by "-ar", "-or" or "-ur", female names by "-ra", "-re" or "-ri". Kirru children learn the language to its full extent in less than a year.

Kirrus are usually good at learning other languages, but due to the differences in their voice apparatus, will always speak with a characteristic accent. A few recoms have been able to learn understanding the Kirru language, but pronouncing it is very difficult for other species.

History
Kirrus are the most advanced of the species of Kirronia, and were the first to develop and build spaceships capable of interstellar spaceflight there. Scientists started research flights to other planets, including Earth. Kirru biologists arrived on Earth in the year 1400, unnoticed by humans, with the spaceship Queckshiaulriaul and took some samples of the himalayan flora and fauna with them.

At the same time, an anti-science religious movement came to power on Kirronia, forcing many excellent scientists (among other dissenters) to leave the planet by spaceships, and settle elsewhere. The Earth expedition was diverted to planet Jalan. A defect in the spaceship forced the crew to stay on the planet, where their descendants have lived for centuries since.

Ecological Influence
The Kirrus not only managed to bring themselves to Jalan, but let free the animals they took from Earth there, most notably snow leopards. All these species were able to survive on Jalan, and integrated surprisingly well with the local ecosystem.

One result of genetic experiments of early Kirru scientists is the irbis species, closely related to snow leopards, but capable of speech and upright walking.

Stellar Convergence MUCK (SCM) was a MUCK that ran from 1998 to 2005. It was originally known as FurrySpaceMUCK. A former FurryMUCK wizard, Slipstream, had created the area known as FurrySpace. Another wizard, Points, joined the effort. Eventually, the needs of the roleplaying area exceeded the framework of FurryMUCK. Slipstream, Points, and a handful of others started Stellar Convergence to expand on the concept, and provide a better framework for space-based roleplaying.

Due to lack of time on the part of the administrators in addition to a dwindling player base, Slipstream made the decision to close Stellar Convergence. The MUCK was officially shut down on December 28, 2005.

Peter is the Wolf

2006-04-24T21:46:01Z

Mindspillage: Reverted edit of 66.36.147.108, changed back to last version by GreenReaper

Peter is the Wolf is a weekly webcomic, hosted by White Lightning Productions, created by BAR-1 and Kris Overstreet, and centered on a cast of werewolf characters.

* Address: http://www.wlpcomics.com/peter/
* From/To: January 1, 2005/Present

The comic centers on the life of Peter Stubbe, a runty werewolf who happens to be the only male of his age group in the pack. He has to deal with the threat of mysterious capture squads, the needling of his best friend Jean Goodwin, the domineering possessiveness of Rebecca "Butch" Cramer, and most of all his human girlfriend, Sarah Hazen.

Sarah is literally Peter's biggest problem, since he unwittingly infected her with lycanthropy as a result of unprotected sex. Unlike Peter, who is a born werewolf in control of his transformations, Sarah is driven by uncontrollable instincts... and also unlike Peter, she's much larger and stronger than normal for a werewolf. This mismatch of small male and huge female leads to comedy, drama, and not a little sex.

Although the comic contains explicit sexual material, there are separate pages available for general audiences and for adults only. The comic has made use of this split format to provide different pages in the same weekly update, giving readers the opportunity to follow events taking place at the same time in parallel sequences.

Peter is the Wolf is reprinted in White Lightning Productions' anthology comic book Bootleg, beginning with issue #13.

Main characters
* Peter Stubbe, less-than-average werewolf
* Jean Goodwin, Peter's best friend-with-benefits
* "Butch" Cramer, agressive and posessive would-be mate for Peter
* Sarah Hazen, Peter's once-human girlfriend turned werewolf loose cannon

Ironhoof

2006-04-24T21:45:59Z

Mindspillage: Reverted edit of 66.36.147.108, changed back to last version by Sine

Ironhoof is a notoriously stallion-hating, strictly-lesbian mustang mare who appeared first on Wild Spirits MUSH, was moved to Thunder Trails MUSH and later on Tapestries MUCK. She is featured as the main character in a trilogy of novels being written by Chibiabos who created and portrayed the notorious mare.

Ironhoof's player on Wild Spirits MUSH previously played the characters of Zetan the male bald eagle and Klondike the male wolf. Her player had never before portrayed a horse in roleplay, and only did so after several requests from to do so from Tempest's player. Creating Ironhoof as such an 'extreme' character was a bit of playful revenge, as previous to Ironhoof, Tempest was renowned for giving stallions a difficult time.

Over time, this somewhat created-in-jest character became more serious as her player fleshed the character out, the backstory in her profile growing so long that by the time she was moved to Thunder Trails MUSH, her backstory would no longer fit in a MUSH buffer and was moved to a website. When Thunder Trails MUSH went offline, Ironhoof's player began (with the encouragement of Calydor's player) transforming her backstory into a more formal story, with the possibilty of eventually publishing. Originally started as a series of short episode-like stories, the concept for the Ironhoof story was eventually reworked into a trilogy concept that would cover Ironhoof's entire life, from her foaling at the beginning of the first novel, to her death at the conclusion of the third novel.

The three novels:

*Ironhoof: Fiesty Filly - covers her life with the herd she foaled into, up to her expulsion from the herd as an older filly.
*Ironhoof: Liberated - picks up as she seeks a life of her own and finally transitions into marehood, free of the bonds of duty or responsibility to the herd she foaled into. This novel would include (and go somewhat beyond) a re-imagining of the events played out on the Wild Spirits and Thunder Trails MUSHes.
*Ironhoof: Seasoned follows a climatic event concluding the second book, deals with its aftermath and a change in Ironhoof, and her eventual decline before succumbing to death.

Did you know? Cassandra SinClair from The Wotch was turned into a spider-centaur by the Mythos Virus.

The people of West Africa have a mythical hero called Kwaku Anansi, or First Spider. Anansi is a trickster, often noble and wise, who did things like bringing stories from Heaven to Earth. He also did things like hiding hot beans under his hat when his friends were hungry, thus forever burning his hair away.

Storms Oven Open Fields is an online furry novel written by Greg Howell, and the sequel to Light on Shattered Water. At this time it is incomplete, with updates being posted periodically.

Plot summary
In the Light on Shattered Water, Michael Riley, a human, was somehow transported to an alternate reality where the world is populated by the felinoid Rris. Eventually he comes to live in the city of Shattered Water.
spoiler
In this installment, Michael Riley and his engineer friend Chaeitch are asked to make a journey to visit Open Fields, the capital of the neighboring land Cover-My-Tail, where they will be guests of queen H'risnth. All goes smoothly at first, but soon Michael finds he is being relentlessly sought after by Mediators (a highly respected profession that could loosely be described as a combination of a detective and a judge). It appears that they have split into two rival groups, one of which is evidently trying to kill him.

Kaylee Foxfire

2006-04-24T21:45:49Z

Mindspillage: Reverted edit of 66.36.147.108, changed back to last version by MelSkunk

Kaylee Foxfire is the herm form of Kalo Foxfire.

Change between the two forms seems at will, although occasionally he/shi will change for no apparent reason. This usually happens when his/hir player is bored, or thinks the other form would be more appropriate for the situation.

Oddly enough, he/shi doesn't always notice the change right away if this happens. Often, he/shi only notices when he/shi says something (Kaylee's voice is a bit higher in pitch than Kalo's), looks down at himself/hirself, or has it pointed out to him/hir by someone else.

Aside from the obvious physical differences, Kaylee is remarkably similar to hir alter-ego. Hir facial features, for example, are nearly identical to Kalo's. Of course, as those who see hir are predispositioned to seeing a more feminine face, the fact that they are identical is hard to detect without comparing a picture of the other form's face to the current one.

Also, while both forms claim to be identical in personality (traits), Kaylee seems a bit shyer than Kalo.
