<div>'''Midwest Furflight''' is an event involving [[furries]] booking as a group on a round trip commercial airplane flight to [[Midwest FurFest]] from the US West Coast. The inaugural 2017 event was notable in having the support of airport and airline staff allowing [[Fursuit|fursuiting]] in the terminal and in the flights themselves. At least 66 furries were on the plane, with additional furries having booked separately and unknowing of the group<ref>[http://canisvulpes.com/about-furflight/ About Furflight - CanisVulpes]</ref>, effectively taking majority of the 119-seat plane. <br />

==2017 Flight Details==<br />
The flight was organized by [[Mike Folf]] under ''CanisVulpes'' and booked on [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virgin_America Virgin America], picked specifically for its marketed party vibe<ref>[http://canisvulpes.com/forming-furflight/ Forming FurFlight - CanisVulpes]</ref>. The 66 furries were divided as follows:<br />
* 56 in coach<br />
* 5 in premium economy (marketed as Main Cabin Select)<br />
* 5 in first class<br />
<br />
While based in San Francisco International Airport, Midwest Furflight attracted furries from Seattle, Southern California, Las Vegas, and further places such as Singapore and Washington DC<ref>[https://twitter.com/GoCanisVulpes/status/921531770721275906 Furflight Statistics from CanisVulpes twitter account]</ref><br />
<br />
Fursuiters were escorted by security into their own priority line to expedite the screening process, with suiting permitted afterwards. Furries were also given their own boarding group after first class. This unsurprisingly managed to catch the eye of several passing passengers, one of which [https://www.reddit.com/r/pics/comments/7gp1yn/apparently_booked_a_business_trip_on_a_furry/ posted on and briefly made the front page of reddit]. Due to a failure to achieve any direct contact with O'Hare officials, fursuiting wasn't permitted in the latter airport with all suiters having to take the heads off when out of the plan. While there were preventative actions taken out of concerns of causing incidents in flight, none happened and both flights were civil and self-enforced <ref>[http://canisvulpes.com/herding-cats/ Herding Cats - CanisVulpes]</ref>. <br />
<br />
Furflight passengers were also given a collectible luggage tag and [[Mary Minch|Mary Mouse]] ''Certified Midwest FurFlyer'' badge.<br />
<br />
==Future Flights==<br />
On April 13, 2018 it was announced that Midwest FurFlight would be reprised and expanded to three cities along the west coast: Seattle, San Francisco, and Los Angeles <ref>[https://twitter.com/GoCanisVulpes/status/984923261484941314 @GoCanisVulpes announcement]</ref>. These flights are operated by Alaska Airlines and would be ran with an additional flight from Wednesday. <br />
<br />
Canis Vulpes has also opened a survey for future FurFlights for potential expansion <ref>[https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScdvl2bxOj_Y0ruymOD-TATafkSN8rC_pDvUyDyf6wb-KsFHQ/viewform Future FurFlight Survey]</ref><br />

*'''Lara Crop''' - A [[husky]] who is an obsessed Japanophile. She contains a large collection of Manga books, and aspires to make her own despite not being apt on drawing skills.<br />
*'''Sean Feldman''' - A [[tiger]] that while giving off an appearance similar to that of a fit football player, is actually video game-addict whom has never played in any actual sports. He is frequently seen on a laptop or console playing.<br />
<br />

<br />
* '''Mr. Gris''' - Francis' stern Father whom watches out for the slightest hint of his son slipping from a professional behavior. Always donning a suit, his face is often obscured beyond the muzzle.<br />

== Nominate a comic ==<br />
<br />
Please nominate up to three comics below (preface with *). Comics must have an existing article - if you want to feature a comic without an article, write the article first, then nominate it. Note that both general audience and [[:Category:Mature comics|mature]] nominations are welcome.<br />
<br />
Others may support a nomination with indented comments (preface with :, and sign your name with <nowiki>~~~~</nowiki>. Support is not the only (or even primary factor) for featuring - the justification given for featuring in the nomination will weigh heavily, as will availability of a high quality panel or title image representing the comic in the article, and of course the article itself.<br />

=== Nominations ===<br />
*[[Dracula (webcomic)]] by Tod Wills<br />
An antro illiteration of the famous novel Dracula by Bram Stoker.<br />
:[[User:Wolfganghm|&quot;I&#39;m not always right, but I am never wrong.&quot;]] 17:27, 14 April 2010 (UTC)<br />
A well done comic by an amazing artist. <br />
*[[Plush and blood]] by Tired Orange Cat (Corey Messer)<br />
:A comic that makes you think, if you're really reading it. Has never missed an update. Not mindless entertainment, though there's no doubt it's entertaining.<br />
*[[Original Life]] by Jay Naylor<br />
*[[Elf and Motorbelly]] by Frank Grigonis<br />
*[[Poisoned Minds]] by Alan Foreman [Rat]<br />
*[[Foxtail Comics]] by J.M. Havens [Rat]<br />
*[[The Pride of Life]] by R.F. Tigermode [Rmask]<br />

*[[Dandy & Company]] by Derrick Fish<br />
*[[El Goonish Shive]] by Dan Shive. <br />
*[[Badly Drawn Kitties]] by [[Mat Sherer]] , drawn by [[Kat Smith]]<br />
* [[Exodus]] by [[Pepper]]<br />
:On hiatus right now. --[[User:GreenReaper|GreenReaper]]([[User talk:GreenReaper|talk]]) 00:03, 28 April 2008 (UTC)<br />
* [[Balls of Furr]] - [[Ricardo Canheta]]<br />
* [[Alice Otter]] by [[Miguel Estrugo]] ('Cause I need her.)<br />
*[[Roomies]] by [[Dan Canaan]]<br />
:With a better article I'd support that. Right now it's just two short paragraphs and no picture. --[[User:GreenReaper|GreenReaper]]([[User talk:GreenReaper|talk]]) 15:24, 12 June 2006 (UTC)<br />
* [[Three D Comics]] by [[ImagoRabbit]] {{unsigned|65.28.190.117}}<br />
*[[The Suburban Jungle]], by John "[[The Gneech]]" Robey (Nice artwork, and a long, established run) - --[[User:Leo Delgrith|Leo Delgrith]] 19:36, 22 October 2006 (UTC)<br />
:Great comic, but the article needs more work. --[[User:Mwalimu|mwalimu]] 23:37, 22 October 2006 (UTC)<br />
:The artist has indicated that this comic may be ending its run soon. I consider it to be one of the all-time classics among furry comics and I think it deserves to be featured here before it ends its run. What can we do to bring this article up to snuff so we can feature it? --[[User:Mwalimu|mwalimu]] 21:10, 14 April 2009 (UTC)<br />
*[[BF Funnies]] by [[Wyldsyde]] is my nomination, thanks! --[[User:Kattywampus|Kattywampus]]<br />
:Would have been good but the comic does not appear to be updated on that site any more. --[[User:GreenReaper|GreenReaper]]([[User talk:GreenReaper|talk]]) 00:03, 28 April 2008 (UTC)<br />
*[[The Blackblood Alliance]] by [[KayFedewa]]. Amazing art, and a great storyline to boot. [[User:SpazKitty|Spaz Kitty]] 01:40, 16 April 2007 (UTC)<br />
*:Looks OK, but the site really needs to be up first. --[[User:GreenReaper|GreenReaper]]([[User talk:GreenReaper|talk]]) 05:41, 16 April 2007 (UTC)<br />
*[[Pride of Baghdad]], too, once it gets a better article. [[User:SpazKitty|Spaz Kitty]] 01:41, 16 April 2007 (UTC)<br />
:: Worthwhile, but I would lean towards webcomics versus print ones, or at least an online preview of such a comic, if only so readers can follow the links to some amount of material. [[User:Jigsaw Forte|Jigsaw Forte]] 17:31, 6 November 2007 (UTC)<br />
*[[Persona Animus]] by [[John Scharmen]]<br />
*[[Black Tapestries]] by [[Jakkal]]<br />
:Is it too much to ask that a nominated article for a webcomic use the webcomic article template, and perhaps some actual images of the comic? Seems silly to have an article but not show off some of the featured artwork, after all. -- [[User:Jigsaw Forte|Jigsaw Forte]] 02:59, 24 September 2007 (UTC)<br />
::The webcomics template, yes, that's too much. If people don't want to use it, that's their call. I think it is important to have at least one picture (otherwise there is nothing to put on the front page, for a start). --[[User:GreenReaper|GreenReaper]]([[User talk:GreenReaper|talk]]) 05:06, 24 September 2007 (UTC)<br />
*[[Obani u Wena]] by [[Karli Martin]]<br />
:Seems to only have had a couple of strips . . . --[[User:GreenReaper|GreenReaper]]([[User talk:GreenReaper|talk]]) 00:03, 28 April 2008 (UTC)<br />
*[[Good Cheese]] by [[Kelly Hamilton]]<br />
*[[Namir Deiter]] by [[Isabel Marks]]<br />
*[[VG Cats]] by [[Scott Ramsoomair]]<br />
:Needs a better article, though, and a picture of the two featured felines. [[User:SpazKitty|Spaz Kitty]] 23:03, 2 March 2008 (UTC)<br />
* [[Blacksad]] by Juan Diaz Canales and Juanjo Guarnido --[[User:Yamavu|Yamavu]] 00:11, 3 March 2008 (UTC)<br />
* [[Cheap Thrills]] by Vivisection_Bob/Skurvy<br />
*[[Darastrix_(comic)]] by Simon "Morgoth" King.<br />
:Up-and-coming comic with a believable cast in a familiar setting; starting to pick up the pace now. Has a small fanbase already, but needs more exposure. It's a comic that I think shows that an anthro comic in a terrestrial setting need not be mature to get noticed. [[User:Sy01|Sy01]] 20:28, 1 July 2009 (UTC)<br />
*[[Roommates]] written by [[Dreamous]] and drawn by [[Spelunker Sal]] <br />
*[[Horndog]] by Isaac M. Baranoff<br />
:Underground favorite in need of further exposure. [[User:Lucifer|Lucifer]] 20:01, 24 February 2010 (UTC)<br />
*[[Peter is the Wolf]] by BAR-1 and Kris Overstreet<br />
Very intriguing story, good character development, SFW and NSFW versions to choose from and very well drawn. I think it deserves more exposure. [[User:casualclosetfur|casualclosetfur]] 14:42, 30 April 2010<br />
*[[Doc Rat]] by Jenner<br />

'''Valleydog''' is a [[comic|webcomic]] written by Rikux and drawn by Mike Folf, centered around a teenage coyote adapting to a small, eccentric town in [[California|California's]] Central Valley, and his experience meeting friends in an equally quirky school.<br />
<br />
