The group's members range across the entire state of Utah as well as a few members from surrounding states, including Idaho, Wyoming and Colorado.

The group meets the second Saturday of every month and participates in various activities such as a BBQ, meets in Nickel City and Trafalga, and performing in the Orem Summerfest Parade.

History
The Utah Furries group collaborates over several mediums. The first organized regional group was the Utah Furry Forum. In 2008, a different group was started as a Facebook group by two high school friends, a gryphon named Kazul G Fox, and a umatran white tiger named Cain Dalton. Both the creators left the group the same year for personal reasons.

After a short time, in 2009, Kazul and Cain decided to come back to the Facebook group and continue their admin responsibilities with the active admin Elias Saphir. In 2010, after the group grew in size, Cain left and Frostee Fox was introduced as an admin. In January 2011, after the Facebook group grew to nearly one hundred members, a real-life meetup was organized at a Denny's for February 12, 2011. At that meeting, the members present decided to organize a regular schedule of regional events the 2nd Saturday of every month. Each event usually has a unique theme or name and each is often at a different venue. The group has been engaged by their community, particularly after one of the organizers of the SLC CureSearch Walk invited the group to entertain children at their event in July 2011 after seeing them at Summerfest the month before. In addition, the group has performed at the Strut your Mutt 2011 fundraiser event for local animal shelters.

Organization
The membership to the Facebook group is closed and requires administrator approval to join. The benefits of this have already been seen by being asked to entertain children at the SLC CureSearch Walk in July 2011, after one of the organizers of the event saw the Utah Furries marching in the 2011 Orem City Summerfest Parade in June of 2011.

Structure
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1QvON4agYUOSNVbTsyjZqQ-aSJstBFqHzji3Qf2Rl_B0/edit?pli=1

Membership
The Facebook group is currently a closed group and anyone wanting to join is subject to Admin Approval. The group has many things for people to enjoy, and should be fun for anyone who chooses to attend.

Current Admins ~ est. If the minor does not have a parent or legal guardian to accompany them at the meet, then they may not attend the meet. This policy is subject to change.

Activities
The Utah Furries organizes different meets each month. They range from BBQs to performing in a parade. These meets aim more to just make idle conversation, but for other furries really get to know other furries and to better the community in general (both furry and not). The meets, so far, have all been fursuiter friendly and get an attendance of upwards of four fursuiters, the CureSearch walk and the Trafalga meet both obtaining over ten suiters.

So far, the group has participated in the following service activities: Strut your Mutt 2011, SLC CureSearch Walk

Conventions
Here is the list of conventions that will have a wide presence from the group.

*Rocky Mountain Fur Con 2011:
**Notable Attendees:
***RooChi Lexico:
***Elias Saphir:
***Evauk:
***Kazul G Fox:
***Frostee Fox:
***Gina Hyena
***SK Skunk
***Digby the Fox
***Zeo Darkfold
***Meiko
***Regi
***Harvey Husky

*Rainfurrest 2011:
**Notable Attendees:
***Kazul G Fox:
***Frostee Fox:
***Evauk:
***YuurYuu:

Media
So far the Utah Furries group doesn't have a notable media presence, though it is growing. It was decided by the members of the group to continue meeting up and become a official Group that would meet up every 2nd Saturday of each month.

*March 2011 - The monthly meet was held at the Scera Park to have a BBQ potluck. Around 20 furs came to the meet, amongst them 5 suiters showed. During the second meet, an adminship of Elias Saphir, Kazul, and Frostee Fox was created and Lexico and Scha Darkart were assigned as moderators.

*April 2011 - The Meet was held at the Nickle City. These meets aim more to just make idle conversation, but for other furries really get to know other furries and to better the community in general (both furry and not). The meets, so far, have all been fursuiter friendly and get an attendance of upwards of four fursuiters, the CureSearch walk and the Trafalga meet both obtaining over ten suiters.

So far, the group has participated in the following service activities: Strut your Mutt 2011, SLC CureSearch Walk

Conventions
Here is the list of conventions that will have a wide presence from the group.

*Rocky Mountain Fur Con 2011:
**Notable Attendees:
***RooChi Lexico:
***Elias Saphir:
***Evauk:
***Kazul G Fox:
***Frostee Fox:
***Gina Hyena
***SK Skunk
***Digby the Fox
***Zeo Darkfold
***Meiko
***Regi
***Harvey Husky

*Rainfurrest 2011:
**Notable Attendees:
***Kazul G Fox:
***Frostee Fox:
***Evauk:
***YuurYuu:

Media
So far the Utah Furries group doesn't have a notable media presence, though it is growing.
