Kytheraen, pronounced Kai-theh-ree-an (born December 24, 1982,) is a Scottish fur who lives in Aberdeen, Scotland, UK.

Fursona
Kyth's fursona is a female anthro leopard with long red hair and blue eyes. She is often featured with a pair of large dragon-like wings, which are covered in a fine layer of fur and make for a cosy portable blanket when required.

The character is a mirror of her real-life self. She enjoys commissioning artwork of her fursona, and would never do anything in these "photos" that she wouldn't do herself in real-life. Her style is alternative, favouring baggy jeans and t-shirts over fashion.

Fandom involvement
Kytheraen has been involved in the furry fandom since 2000. Around the beginning of 2008 she got promoted to admin on the UKFur forums.

Kyth is often found lurking on Furnet IRC in channels #uk, #lobby and #scotfurs, and (rarely) on Tapestries.

Kytheraen: rearranged sentences to sound better.

UKFur.org is the most popular UK centric furry website on the internet with an excess of 2,000 members. It is intended as a friendly forum where adult members of the community can meet likeminded individuals as well as facilitating the arrangements of meets; however, it is strictly not a dating site.

The main area of the site has been under redevelopment since 2004, however the forums are still highly active. The site carries a 16+ age rating. Adult material is strictly prohibited in the AUP.

The site has been targeted a number of times by researchers for furry related documentaries, most notably a documentary producer for Channel 4, as reported in the first edition of The Furtean Times. A large number of forum-goers were also featured in the Bizarre magazine article on the furry fandom.

The site provides web hosting and email; however, this service is no longer advertised.

Special interest forums
In mid-2008 UKFur started to add forums for specific subsections of the fandom, so they could discuss events and topics without the fear of the public or other forum members finding out. As of July 2008, two such forums exist: for babyfurs and fatfurs.

Oekaki Board
The UKFur Oekaki Board was set up in early 2008, as a place where British furries could show off their skills. It is run by Articuno and HelenBaby. So far it has proven to be pretty popular. There has even been a competition, in honour of Easter 2008, of which ShaoShao, Kepe and Jess were the winners.
