Horndog is an American comic strip created by Isaac M. Baranoff and published by Mystic Studios Productions. It focuses on Bob, a skirt-chasing canine marijuana user who often finds himself in surreal adventures, often involving a variety of sexual experiences.<br />
<br />
Since its introduction, it has attained a strong cult following and appraisal from varied cartoonists from both the mainstream and underground scenes.<br />
<br />
== History == <br />
<br />
Baranoff first created Horndog in 2003 as an underground comic. It is published by Mystic Studios Productions. The online edition of the strip began in 2009, and was hosted on Geocities, before moving to Angelfire, and later to Smack Jeeves. It is currently hosted on Mystic Studios Productions' official website. The strip has remained independently published in all of its incarnations. Baranoff is not a furry, and has stated that he does not consider cartoons to be "furry", although he does not mind the use of the term from fans of the comic.<br />
<br />
While he is not a furry, he has parodied furry comics in his Internet review series, Comix from the Underground.<br />
<br />
== Controversy ==<br />
<br />
Baranoff has feuded with numerous comic artists, including Hijinks Ensue artist Joel Watson. Furry artist Jay Naylor claimed that Mystic Studios Productions refused to publish his comics. Baranoff responded by stating that he never intended to publish Naylor's comics. Baranoff later satirized Naylor's comic The Fall of Little Red Riding Hood in an episode of the web video series Comix from the Underground.<br />
<br />
Baranoff has also criticized the political views of artist D.C. Simpson. A heated Twitter conversation between the two led Baranoff to satirize Simpson in his comics.<br />

<div>The Fall of Little Red Riding Hood is a adult webcomic by furry artist Jay Naylor.<br />
<br />
== Premise ==<br />
<br />
Red is heading to her boyfriend, Pablo's house, to have sex with him. A wolf smells her scent and immediately becomes infatuated with her. Arriving at Pablo's house before Red does, the wolf ties him up and puts on his clothes, believing that Red would confuse him for Pablo. <br />
<br />
Of course, she immediately recognizes the wolf, but has sex with him anyway. The second chapter involves Red and Pablo being initiated into the wolf tribe via lots of sex (in Pablo's case, he is turned into a form that wolves find more appealing). The wolves take over the world, initiating human women into their tribes, transforming male humans into shemales, and destroy the human race.<br />
<br />
== Reception ==<br />
<br />
The comedy web video series Comix from the Underground reviewed this comic. In the video, the Comix Scrutinizer (a character played by cartoonist [[Isaac M. <br />
An editor accused me of having a "spat" with Simpson. I don't see how that relates to how other people view her interactions as the result of her political views. It's not malicious to add notable incidents which reflect upon how an artist is seen. I don't understand why it's required to promote the subjects of the articles we write.--KooKooBanana 11:02, 3 January 2012 (EST)<br />
<br />
:Your interactions until January 2, 2012, have been of an acrimonious state with her. This clouds any "good faith" regarding the edits on the person you are editing their article on. Oh, and very bad form and improper net etiquette to posts screenshots of public discussions, when in this case is Miss Simpson. Not very subjective - Spirou 16:47, 3 January 2012 (EST)<br />
<br />
:: I don't understand your reasoning. You're accusing me of having a problem with Simpson because I quote people who have criticized her? How am I acrimonious for quoting other people?--KooKooBanana 18:15, 3 January 2012 (EST)<br />
<br />
:::Oh, so you are assuming the thoughts and feelings of Mr Baranoff towards Miss Simpson?. *facepalm* I see also though you been slowly deleting the more acrimonious data you been trying wedge on her articles (Homosexuality+bestiality=her comics?, "Controversy" to "Personal life"?). Please defer to assume Baramoff" possible "assumption" on her articles, or adding portions of his life to her own life article - Spirou 18:26, 3 January 2012 (EST)<br />
<br />
::::The homosexuality/bestiality remarks came from a pair of reviews on The Webcomic Overlook and Bad Webcomics Wiki, and I apologize if the reviewers' comments came across as acrimonious, but why are you asserting that I'm making these claims, rather than the reviewers (the quotes are not falsified, just read the reviews yourself). I'm not making any such claim, and for that matter, why are artist biographies on here being treated as being like a MySpace profile rather than a biography? I think that her interactions with other artists is worth noting. I'd like to know what happened between her and Dandy and Company creator Derrick Fish, who used to be friends with her until they had a falling out, and Fish criticized some of her recent work.--KooKooBanana 18:36, 3 January 2012 (EST)</div>KooKooBanana//en.wikifur.com/wiki/FurjectivistsFurjectivists2012-01-03T23:25:23Z<p>KooKooBanana: </p>

An editor accused me of having a "spat" with Simpson. I don't see how that relates to how other people view her interactions as the result of her political views. It's not malicious to add notable incidents which reflect upon how an artist is seen. I don't understand why it's required to promote the subjects of the articles we write.--KooKooBanana 11:02, 3 January 2012 (EST)</div>KooKooBanana//en.wikifur.com/wiki/D.C._SimpsonD.C. Welcome; Don't know what the current issue you are having with Simpson is, but as per the webcomic date (Horndog) is being simmering until today's date. == Furnal Equinox article concerns ==<br />
<br />
I wanted to approach you in your role as a WikiFur curator with regards to the edits on Furnal Equinox. First of all, I appreciate that the goal of WikiFur tends towards preservation of the historical fact, and apologize that the proceedings have dragged on as long as we have. My concern is that User:Dan Skunk has a vested interest in the content of the article (this should be VERY clear based upon how much of the article involves him). Most notably, a set of edits that I made, which did nothing to censor content (rather rearrange it), were reverted and dismissed as "censoring criticism". If what I can expect going forward is that any legitimate edits will be vociferously reversed, that isn't acceptable to me. I'm having a sense of "victim, judge, jury and executioner" right now, which can't be good for the wiki ideal.<br />
Dan and the staff of Furnal Equinox (including myself) have thus far failed to come to a consensus and I don't see one coming at any time in the near future for reasons that go well beyond the bounds of WikiFur. The article needs some sort of arbitration or other third-party intervention to assess what content is relevant, and how it should be presented. Is there any process that we can work through to accomplish this? Feel free to respond on my talk page. --Scani 21:15, 5 October 2011 (EDT)<br />

<br />
:The committee has never existed. Some of the furs in that list are not even partaking in the fandom any more. Not sure who posted it up but its false information. Please don't restore information you don't know about. The edit I made was perfectly understandable "Removed HantsFur Committee. Doesn't exist.". Thanks. 87.194.231.194<br />
<br />
::"The committee has never existed" Your edit was not clear to begun with, that's why the question and reversal. A more clear explanation on the talk page page of the article will save people from second guessing in the future. No, the edit was "perfectly understandable". I.e. "Doesn't exist"= It was, it ceased to be./"Doesn't exist"= Discussed, it never came to be./"Doesn't exist"= It never existed. But that has been made clear on this post now, so its moot now - Spirou 00:30, 28 December 2011 (EST)<br />

I would like to request that the current changes I made to my profile be honored and without rollback. Certain information that was recently rolled back is no longer consistent with my life and I had made my entry more accurate as a result. Please keep my information accurate to my changes. I appreciate it. <br />

:Hello, KaputOtter, you can take or add as much personal information to your article as you wish (with some rare exceptions, see "Sibe"), as long as it follows Wikifur's article formatting. If the information is an update, specially personal, it is normally respected. Be advised that future editors may add some information back because they may not be aware of your wishes, not because of trolling. It can be re-edit out.<br />
<br />
:In short, your edit was fine if said info was old or personal, as long it doesn't break format. A point; I would recommend for you to create an account with your "KaputOtter". <br />
==Reception==<br />
Raine Dog has received mixed reactions from reviewers and fans. Initial reviews were favorable. One reviewer praised Raine Dog as being a "well-executed" take on familiar themes. Another review described Raine Dog as "subtle, yet breathtaking".<br />
<br />
The comic's left-wing politics were one subject of contention, with one reviewer commenting, "Maybe Raine isn’t a liberal at all. Maybe Raine is secretly a Libertarian dog trying to subversively tick off everyone she meets into becoming an avid follower of Ayn Rand." The strongest point of criticism was the portrayal of Raine kissing a human boy and later being neutered by her owners (the boy's parents). <br />
<br />
Webcomic Overlook wrote, "The most obvious metaphor would be something with regards to D.C. Simpson’s sexual orientation, the particulars of which I won’t go into detail here. If so, isn’t equating homosexuals to pets just about the silliest thing to do? The closest the allegory would ever come to working would have to deal with slavery (and there is imagery suggesting that this is about the civil rights movement). Even then it’s kinda ridiculous to show metaphorical slaves playing fetch and getting belly rubs." <br />
<br />
The Bad Webcomics Wiki wrote, "As a former male homosexual who later became a MTF transsexual, D. C. Simpson seems to be implying that the taboo romance between Jeff and Raine is comparable to either homosexuality, transsexuality, or both. Very likely the vast majority of homosexuals and transsexuals would find the comparison to an underage bestiality relationship to be quite offensive."<br />
<br />
Fans in particular were critical of the comic, and the message board "Define Cynical" criticized the comic so strongly that D.C. Simpson later disavowed the forum and disassociated herself with it, saying that it had "become toxic".<br />
<br />
Isaac M. Baranoff satirized D.C. Simpson's political views in his comic, Horndog, portraying a character named Alpha whose design was based upon that of Raine.<br />

<div>Isaac M. Baranoff is a comics creator known for Horndog and Here, Wolf. Although he is not a furry, he often uses anthropomorphic characters in his works. Noted for his Libertarian political views, Baranoff is the founder of Mystic Studios Productions, and resides in Florida, U.S.A.<br />
<br />
==Fueds==<br />
Baranoff has feuded with numerous comic artists, including Hijinks Ensue artist Joel Watson. Jay Naylor claimed that MSP refused to publish his comics, and insulted Baranoff and his comics. Baranoff responded by stating that he never intended to publish Naylor's comics, and insulted Naylor. Baranoff has also criticized the political views of D.C. Simpson. A heated Twitter conversation between the two led Baranoff to satirize Simpson in his comics.<br />
<br />
Baranoff is also at odds with the furry fandom, and has publicly expressed a dislike of the fandom. While he doesn't mind if members of the fandom are fans of his work, he considers it an insult if his work itself is described as "furry", whether or not the term is used to describe him.<br />
