Hi - I'm a fur from Mission, British Columbia, Canada and part of the local BC Furries community.

I'm a musician and have been part of the fandom since my early teens. I've been part of an EP (real registration, barcode, tax receipts, the whole deal!) with my old (now defunct) metal band.

I have enough gear for the beginnings of a recording studio and one day dream to make my way into Audio Engineering and Production.

I can play guitar, bass, a little bit of drums, and an even smaller bit of keyboards (hooray for MIDI and quantization!). Oh, and I like to think I can sing. ;)

By day, I'm also an IT gal - operations, system and network administration, and ever so reluctantly dabbling in the buzzword-laden 'DevOps'. Linux and FreeBSD are my thing. Gaming on Linux is another big interest of mine, because who *likes* dual booting?

I was the Operations Lead for VancouFur's inaugaural year (2012), and I'm proud to see what it's grown into without me. ;p

I used to be a Co-God on the now-defunct ChaosMUCK, and also spent time on Equestrian Dawn, FluffMUCK, SPR and FurryMUCK.

Hi - I'm a fur from Mission, British Columbia, Canada and part of the local BC Furries community.

I'm a musician and have been part of the fandom since my early teens. I've been part of an EP (real registration, barcode, tax receipts, the whole deal!) with my old (now defunct) metal band, and am working on a new project.

I have the beginnings of a recording studio in my basement and one day dream to make my way into Audio Engineering and Production.

I can play guitar, bass, a little bit of drums, and an even smaller bit of keyboards (hooray for MIDI and quantization!). Oh, and I like to think I can sing. ;)

By day, I'm also an IT guy - operations, system and network administration, and ever so reluctantly dabbling in the buzzword-laden 'DevOps'. Linux and FreeBSD are my thing. Gaming on Linux is another big interest of mine, because who *likes* dual booting?

I was the Operations Lead for VancouFur's inaugaural year (2012), and I'm proud to see what it's grown into without me. ;p

I used to be a Co-God on the now-defunct ChaosMUCK, and am also on Equestrian Dawn, FluffMUCK, SPR and FurryMUCK.

Howloween 2010

Kithop: Added image for 2010

Howloween
Howloween 2010 was a furry-themed party held at the Compass Point Inn in Surrey, BC, occurring on Saturday, November 6th. It was comprised of various events ranging from games, panels, competitions, and dance. The event ran all day and ended around 1am on Sunday morning. Fursuit bowling was held on the 7th.

The theme of the year's event was luck, both good and bad. The artwork reflected this theme wherever possible, and attendees were encouraged to participate in the theming wherever they could.

* Two ballrooms (rather than 3) were used this year, and a separate boardroom on the 6th floor was available for quiet art and as a socializing space.
* Event organizer Aphinity sought volunteers to help with planning, setup, and event ideas for this year.
* Hotel rooms were available for a special rate of $89 by contacting the Compass Point Inn.
* Final count was 151 attendees, including staff and volunteers.
* DJs Digifox and Akonite provided music for the dance.
* Bowling on Sunday was held at XCalibur in Surrey instead of the previous Rev's in Burnaby.

Howloween

Kithop: Added picture for 2010

Howloween
Howloween is a Halloween-themed furmeet held in Surrey, British Columbia, about 20 minutes south-east of Vancouver, Canada.

It was held annually around Halloween at the Best Western Coquitlam Inn & Convention Centre from 2003 to 2006, and began being held at the Compass Point Inn in 2008. As more of a furry-themed event than a full-fledged convention, Howloween does not have a specific dealers den or art show, but there are many available tables and chairs in the event area which takes up two halls in the hotel. The event includes furry themed games, panels, competitions, entertainment, and dance with an all-ages target audience. An ongoing tradition of the event is an unofficial after-party involving Fursuit bowling at Revs Bowling Centre in Burnaby, British Columbia.

History
* Howloween 2002 began at the home of TJ_Wolf in Burnaby. About 10 people attended the house party, which featured modest events such as pizza and videos.
* Howloween 2003 was the first to be held in a formal hotel setting. It was originally planned to be held at the Burnaby Radisson Hotel, but was moved to the Best Western Coquitlam Inn & Convention Centre, where it has remained until Howloween 2006. The event was featured in the CBC television program Culture Shock.
* Howloween 2004 was extended to two days and moved to the upstairs event area of the Best Western Coquitlam Inn & Convention Centre. A fursuit of the new mascot - a pink bunny with a hockey mask and chainsaw - was introduced, and the pumpkin carving contest was also held for the first time.
* Howloween 2005 introduced the candy table, where furries pooled their money to buy a whole bunch of candy. Attendees who pre-registered this year began receiving a Howloween T-shirt with their membership.
* Howloween 2006 was once again held at the Best Western Coquitlam Inn & Convention Centre. The room block was increased and the convention space was expanded to two halls. Total paid attendence surpassed the record of the previous year with 119 registered furries. This increase is believed to be a result of the cancellation of Conifur Northwest 2006.
* Howloween 2007 was officially cancelled, but a party in lieu was held at Aphinity's house with over 60 people in attendance.
* Howloween 2008 was organized by Aphinity, and held at the Compass Point Inn in Surrey with 160 registered furries.
* Howloween 2009 was organized by Aphinity, and held at the Compass Point Inn in Surrey on Saturday, November 7th.
* Howloween 2010 was organized by Aphinity, and held at the Compass Point Inn in Surrey on Saturday, November 6th.

Howloween 2010

2010-11-14T10:40:48Z

Kithop: Switched to past tense, added some more details

Howloween

Kithop: Updated Howloween 2010 entry to past tense.

Hi - I'm a fur from Metro Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada and part of the local BC Furries community.

I used to be a Co-God on the now-defunct ChaosMUCK, and am also on FluffMUCK, SPR and FurryMUCK.

My fursona is an Arctic Wolf anthropomorph, and I can occasionally be found hanging out on Second Life as 'Kithop Cusack'.

I'm a System Administrator by trade, and am a multi-instrumentalist musician, able to play guitar and bass primarily, with some rudimentary drum and keyboard work.

Hi! I'm the Co-God of a Sonic the Hedgehog-themed roleplay MUCK, ChaosMUCK ([telnet://chaosmuck.no-ip.com:3333 Connect] / Webpage). We've been around for over 10 years, originating from SPR and have just recently restarted the main TinyPlot; I encourage you to check us out. We're keeping logs of our important RPs as well, if you just want to read.

On Chaos, I play 'Gary', an Arctic Wolf with the Knothole Freedom Fighters, 'Kithop', a roboticized Wallaby working for Robotnik, and, of course, the Freedom Fighter "Tails".

I'm also on FluffMUCK, SPR and FurryMUCK as Kithop (by name; the character is, however, modeled after 'Gary', an Arctic Wolf).
