* Please consult the [[Wikifur]]'s page about "''[[WikiFur:Personal exclusion|article exclusion]]''" first.
* The request must be made by the article's user '''ONLY''', with some exceptions (next of kin, lawyer/barrister, etc...).
* The exclusion will delete the ability for others to edit it any further, plus a protection layer is added by Wikifur's [[curator]]s so is no longer searchable on such sites such as [[W:Google|Google]].
* NOTE: [[WikiFur:Personal information|Removal of personal information]] is normally not the same as exclusion, and it can be done without needing curator assistance.
* The request can be made in a myriad of ways (Email, [[Bluesky]], or [[Fur Affinity]]'s DM), but the best way is to send me a DM via BlueSky at "SpirouWikifur” (Requests via [[Twitter]] ['''X'''] is no longer possible as the account is no longer operational).

==IP banned friend==

Meow! My friend Wayon was trying to make edits to his own page and forgot to log in to his account. He sent me a DM just now saying that he got IP banned from Wikifur so I looked and looks like you reversed all the edits and said it was "pos sus vandalism" - He's now quite annoyed because he can't see or edit his own page on here anymore even though it was a legitimate use. If you want to verify this, may I suggest sending Wayon a DM on telegram @Goatrificus and discus s it with him directly? Just being a messenger here but I do understand how a new account created right after an IP ban can look rather suspicious as well. My telegram is @novarlynx if you want to DM me too. Anyway the page in question is here: https://en.wikifur.com/wiki/Wayon_Oransky. Thanks! - Novar Lynx
:I'm still on the road home, but I can remove the ban via iPhone. There were sus like edits (removing the day and month of birth, replacing with birth year only, listing "Planet Earth" where he resides, and removing all working exterior links that were still working... normal vandal behavior, he needs to understand that [with some trolls using user's names to accomplish this]).

:I haven't checked my FA or Blue account yet to see if he responded to yesterday's queries, but you are doing it on his behalf anyway. In the meantime, the article was given a major update from top to bottom anyways updated for 2025), and I will given access right after I finish this post. Thanks a mil for explain to us the ongoing situation, and cheers. - [[User:Spirou|Spirou]] ([[User talk:Spirou|talk]]) 01:56, 16 March 2025 (EDT)

:::Hey, thanks for taking care of that. I let Wayon know and showed him a screenshot of my inquiry and your response. As for his FA and Bluesky, he's been taking a break from social media this past week so that's why you didn't get a response. - Novar (meow) - {{unsigned|64.135.129.51 }}

== State of the wiki ==

Hey there Spirou!

I'm a wandering wiki enjoyer from other platforms (currently mostly doing stuff on minecraft.wiki). I looked at RC and saw that you daily ban plenty of spamming accounts which surprised me. Perhaps you know a bit more about state of the wiki, I guess I'm just curious, because I feel like plenty of that spam could be thwarted by some abuse filters/perhaps using some MediaWiki blacklists (like perhaps copying some used by Wikimedia Foundation hosted wikis). I suppose a lot of limitations may come from the fact wiki is still on very old MediaWiki version, though the wiki has Abuse Filters and SpamBlacklist/Titleblacklist extensions installed so perhaps they could be utilized to some extent. MediaWiki wikis sadly are an easy target for spam bots and every wiki has to deal with them to some extent.

Thus my question, were there attempts to use Abuse Filters and Spam/Title blacklists to contain the spam? I feel like it could pay off in less whack-a-mole game. And please, I really don't want it to sounds like I'm telling anyone what to do, just trying to figure out if there is something that could be improved spam account wise. [[User:Frisk|Frisk]] ([[User talk:Frisk|talk]]) 18:49, 22 March 2025 (EDT)

:No prob with the query; in short, I'm not high enough on [[Wikifur]]'s staff ladder to handle spam filter-wise. The highest curator that handles this matter is Curator [[Greenreaper]]. As you noted, the most I can do is block the spammer themselves and remove their spam articles (reverts can be done by everybody). I have/use Mac software (Safari extensions/apps/scripts) that makes these bans/reversals very easy to accomplish almost instantly (no more bans or deletions typed one time at a bloody time). Sry I could answer all your questions overall. Cheers. - [[User:Spirou|Spirou]] ([[User talk:Spirou|talk]]) 23:03, 22 March 2025 (EDT)
::Hah, interesting. Well, I did check and you have technical powers to do so on [[Special:AbuseFilter|AbuseFilter]] page, the [[Special:ListGroupRights]] makes it pretty clear that the group you have is a renamed administrator/sysop from regular MediaWiki installations so you technically can both edit the SpamBlacklist ([[MediaWiki:Spam-blacklist]]) as well as create/edit existing AbuseFilters - meaning that you have technical means to edit both. But maybe you are referring to "permission to do so" which is added in requirement. I guess I'll contact Greenreaper in regards to that then. Thanks :) [[User:Frisk|Frisk]] ([[User talk:Frisk|talk]]) 05:40, 23 March 2025 (EDT)

::It is actually more of ”a full plate” situation. I got voluntary work here to be done that is gonna last years, so other curators can take a bit of the load off in the mean time,… plus that is without counting with my animation pro work, plus real life, etc, etc. - [[User:Spirou|Spirou]] ([[User talk:Spirou|talk]]) 00:34, 26 March 2025 (EDT)

== Edits to Furg ==

Can you breakdown why you keep making edits like that to the Furgeddaboutit page? I'm not looking to get into some sort of editing war here. The page seemed fine as is. This all seems wholly unnecessary. {{unsigned|Toofy}}

:(???)... Because the article is not finished editing, it will never be, is a "living document" that needs to be updated constantly, the first time I started to work on it needed to match[[Anthrocon]]'s prime convention edit format, plus all sections need to be updated for future information, and many more edits than have been (or yet to) applied to it, just like all [[Wikifur]]'s [[fur con]]s since 2005.

{{q|The page seemed fine as is. This all seems wholly unnecessary.}}
:(...)
:'''''The page seemed fine as is.''''' No, it wasn't, hence the further edits. Welcome to wiki 101.
:''''' This all seems wholly unnecessary.''''' Well, you are not quite correct there. Hang around, there is lots to learn and enjoy the ride. - [[User:Spirou|Spirou]] ([[User talk:Spirou|talk]]) 19:43, 28 March 2025 (EDT)

::We do not intend to track individual statistics like amount of artists or fursuiters at this time. Is it required that we do so for our page by WikiFur standards? {{unsigned|Toofy}}

:::We are starting to track artists and fursuiters, an item that is years in the implementation stage; lots of furry cons track fursuiters, but only one carries artists at the moment. Most, if not almost all, worldwide comic/fandom cons carry the artists' figure, as the artists and dedicated fans are the ones who created this fandom. Fantasy cons is mostly writers; SCIFI is a mix of writers of novelists and illustrators. The first furry cons it was the artist(s) that brought people to the con ([[Steve Martin]], [[Taral Wayne]], or [[Ken Sample]] and his ideas of [[fursona]]s, etc...). Fursuiter numbers were added in mid-2020, and there has always been talk about implementing artists, too, until now.

:::'''''We do not intend to track individual statistics like amount of artists or fursuiters '''''. Good for you, so what will happen is that '''Furg''' "Attendee" section will read:

:::* 2025 - 1032 attendees (??? artists, ??? fursuiters)

:::...As some 2025 and prior furry cons now read too. You are welcome not to acknowledge these people (your con, your rules), but it will read like these here (Wikifur's rules). It is expected that eventually, like most worldwide cons, fursuiters, AND artists will be recognized in the Wikifur furry conventions articles as the very important building blocks of the fandom they were from day one. - [[User:Spirou|Spirou]] ([[User talk:Spirou|talk]]) 20:13, 28 March 2025 (EDT)

==New Request==
Still kinda new to editing wikis, fighting all my old bbs forums insticts atm and also remembering relevant information right as I push changes and then going back to add it, so thanks for being understanding. I hope I'm replying in the right place by sticking this here. I've got the contact link I wanted to make sure people can get to, but I suppose I should actually create my user page first before I worry about that, since you mentioned that contact info tends to go there. Thanks again!

== A dispute over Israeli Furs page ==

Hello Spirou! I would like to ask for your interference in the page [[Israeli Furs]].

You see, there's a group of several people who are claiming to own the page (I remember from past conversations with some local furries that they told me "not to touch this page if I don't want trouble.") Back then, I was pretty naive and innocent, and didn't know what they were talking about. Later, after I left ILFurs groups for my reasons, but that's irrelevant for now.

What I want to say, is that I get the impression that there is a group of people who claim to own this page, and therefore any editing about it, "so there won't be a mess". They are proclaiming this page is intended to represent all of Israel's furry community, but actually, the page isn't representing all of the community as they say, but only a small portion of it. I might sound subjective, and I am, but do you really think a small group of specific people can have a monopoly over a page that claims to represent all of the local community, and preventing others from editing by what I personally felt like an implied threat?

If this is really an open page for all of the community, so it should be an open page that also its criticisers can edit it freely as long as it's not against Wikifur's guidelines. This page isn't a private property, and censorship of different views is a blatant mouth shutting and a visible attempt to cause drama and make me look immature and dumb.

It will be said to my credit: I have opened my own page for my own groups, because I don't feel Israeli Furs page represents them or giving them any space. I remember that when I added my groups to the page back then, they didn't undo my work, but still gave me the impression they would prefer that my groups won't be in this page, because "If you want to change anything, tell us and we'll change".

I swear to god I don't making this up. And I rarely swear.

I would like to have you interfered here and solving this matter once and for all: Is the page "Israeli Furs" truly represents all of the Furry Israeli community, or is it just a union of some groups under the same names which doesn't represent the entire community?

[[User:Catwell|Catwell]] ([[User talk:Catwell|talk]]) 11:58, 4 May 2025 (EDT)

:A response to this has been given in the discussion page of the Israeli Furs article. A lot of what is written here is partial and subjective, with twisted information.
:[[User:Jazzing|Jazzing]] ([[User talk:Jazzing|talk]]) 12:28, 6 May 2025 (EDT)

::Please lets keep this civil, all three users working on the article need to work together to make it an extremily informative article. If something is erroneous, just edit without antagonizing or ribbing other users. Nothing is set in stone, evrything can be edit, and so far all of you have been building the article just fine with minor hiccups. - [[User:Spirou|Spirou]] ([[User talk:Spirou|talk]]) 21:23, 6 May 2025 (EDT)

:::Thank you for being so diplomatic about this, someone has to. I had no intention to start an editing adventure on the 5th. But the situation forced it, whatever qualm Catwells had at the time, he did not communicate it to the pages editors or other involved figures, it just surfaced out of nowhere, and he took it out on an article that has sentimental value to the collective fandom. The article was kept intentionally in the previous non wikified format because this is what the collective community enjoyed, as it was accessible for anyone to return to their roots or show to new community members when sharing the legacy of the Israeli fandom. By the time I edited the first part it was already being talked by other members through multiple chats and groups. This could have turned into an edit war or another expression of negative response and it took a lot of rephrasing with intentionally redundant narrative just to have multiple groups at peace. Nothing is set in stone is true but in action, it can be difficult to communicate that to multiple community groups and chat groups after they see that pieces of their history and sections they resonate with got taken out so arbitrarily. I appreciate the help you provided through this, I ask if possible to consider removing some of the tags at the top of the article at this point and ill continue to be involved in the editing to preserve this. - [[User:Jazzing|Jazzing]] ([[User talk:Jazzing|talk]]) 06:08, 7 May 2025 (EDT)

: An update on this, Catwell decided to remove his information and group from the article after all this, after doing the big theatrics in the process. The question is now what? should we disregard his removal and rollback the article since its a general article? Let it stay as he did this is a 2nd time its happening and it really is a situation where the article is being forced to be played with out of 1 individual whims and sudden feelings. I want to move forward with the article to fix the tags it has at the top but can't do it until this episode is concluded. [[User:Jazzing|Jazzing]] ([[User talk:Jazzing|talk]]) 08:14, 29 June 2025 (EDT)

Dear Spirou! I would like to clarify that I don't want to have any connection to ILFurs anymore. I'm tired of any attempts to cooperate with the ILFurs admins (which don't even have any connection to the Israeli Furs group). I never really wanted to cooperate with them, and did so only because I thought it's necessary. But I decided to detach all of my connections to them because those relationships aren't good for me and just make me feel uncomfortable, anxious, frustrated and angry. So it's better just to stay away.

Anyway, there are still a couple of things needs to be changed and be fixed. I have a strong believe that this page should not try to represent all of the furry community in Israel. You see, there is not connection between those groups. All of those groups might have similiar names, but that's it. There's nothing between them.

Kovuah is the real owner of Israeli Furs group. Thus, this page which called Israeli Furs should represent her group and only her group, not any other group that isn't a sub-group directly attached to it.

No other country in the furry fandom claims to have an official representation of everyfur, and that’s just wrong to claim otherwise. There are many different groups, communities and organizations. That’s usually the state, because there are many fractions that have their own way of being a furry. My group’s culture is way too different than ILFurs, Israeli Furs, Israeli Furries or any other group that ever been or that will ever be. There is no just “one community for all” - that’s a lie that should end right here and now. I have wrote in the Israeli Furs:Talk article my arguments

"My group was created due to a big drama that used to happen, currently the group is not linked to the drama and I also aligned with the admins of the other group together at a conference abroad. There is no connection between the groups, the rules are different, the admins of the other group are not in my group either. They like to call my group something more exclusive and Jazzing even calls it The Country Club hahaha"

I think It's time any group will have an article of its own.

[[User:Catwell|Catwell]] ([[User talk:Catwell|talk]]) 02:35, 30 June 2025 (EDT)

: quoting Kovuah on her own group is irrelevant, the fact there is a group called ILFurs and a group called Israeli Fur is irrelevant.
: The article discusses the fandom in Israel, not any persons group, It was emphasized everywhere you suddenly decide that there is a new definition to the article? There isn't.
No. The fact that there is a group called Israeli Furs is not relevant; this article discusses the furry fandom in Israel. Having your own groups article no one stopped you , you had it for a couple of months no one told you anything, no one stopped you. The article discusses multiple groups that aren't related to each other and has a direct citation to Furry Fellas page so all you claim is false and twisted out of your sudden perception. :99% of code strings left on articles and user pages with no explanation of what it was have been harmful in nature (virus, trolling memetics, et al). == Archiving and adding text logs, furrynet & usenet ==

Hello Spirou,

Through my many deep dives I've come across some archived furrynet usenet logs and other text based media, what would be the best way to add them to the wiki without bloating pages? should I create special pages and add links to their respective pages or should I host the text files somewhere else and link them? I'd prefer to do it on the wiki since I don't archive individual items on archive.org and don't trust external text host sites.
Let me know what's best practice in this wiki :3

Best regards,
- [[User:Vilaa|Vilaa]] ([[User talk:Vilaa|talk]]) 19:29, 29 May 2025 (EDT)

:Normally a screenshot will do; on article addition (text), if small or medium in length, is okay, larger than that, probably an off-article entry of its own. - [[User:Spirou|Spirou]] ([[User talk:Spirou|talk]]) 06:57, 30 May 2025 (EDT)

==Removal of false tag==

Hi,

The list is wrong. I'm the person who made the AU Rabbot the Red. It is not a person. Rabbot is in reference to the character Bunnie Rabbot. Red is in reference to communism. My fiance and I have done a lot of artwork of it which you can find on our FA page. Likely someone gave whoever made the list false information, or there's someone going by the name "Rabbot the Red" to cause confusion to smear me. This wouldn't be the first time, mind you.

Thanks for understanding. [[User: sqrlyjack]] [[User talk: sqrlyjack| (EDT)

==Requesting original image==

Hello spirou, on the image '''https://en.wikifur.com/wiki/File:MarkMerlinoDrOsamuTezuka.jpg''', could you link to the original file somewhere as a reference? also please stop using diffusion based ai upscalers, even thought the image may look good from a distance, once you zoom in, the illusion breaks and it looks horrendous. The only copy I can find online for this historical image is unfortunately this bad ai hallucination and not the original. Thanks -[[User:Vilaa|Vilaa]] ([[User talk:Vilaa|talk]]) 20:36, 8 June 2025 (EDT)

:One, the image was saved years and years ago to further work with, the initial zoom was done with Photoshop’s early beta neural filters (zoom, still on beta after all these years), and I can’t find at this moment the original image, nor where I got it from initially. If I find it in my Wikifur image folder I can post it here.

:And Two, why use a Spam worded reason for the post?, I just reverted and was about to ban whoever posted it, but I was you. Please, just. don’t. - [[User:Spirou|Spirou]] ([[User talk:Spirou|talk]]) 23:03, 8 June 2025 (EDT)

::Perfect, yeah refrain from using the photoshop models regardless, if you want to do a proper upscale something like ESRGAN (https://github.com/xinntao/Real-ESRGAN) which is based on a different architecture altogether and does not hallucinate details unlike a diffusion architecture (https://arxiv.org/pdf/1809.00219), personally I think its best to have a real but noisy image rather than a fake hallucination as it will be more historically accurate than letting a machine learning algorithm decide what gets upscaled.

== Fusty The Skunk ==

Hello, I wanted say thank you for creating me as wikifur known as FustyTheSkunk. I made some changes so they know who the real me. However, I really wanted say I appreciate it and pleased with you.

Hey, Spirou on my wikifur called Fusty The Skunk has been Raiding as called Sandbox and been re-adding the stuff again i told em to stop and they won't listen to me. So, your an administrator that can help me to protect this website for all cost. If you do I would really appreciate it. ::Hey, sorry i didnt know the page layout is meant for none furry or furries who have passed. But [[Seel]] is still a furry, just uses https://toyhou.se/seel/art for their work now. Last post was last week. But if then would be nice to put a layout like that to [[raver neonlight]] --[[user: Abby-fennec]]

:::No prob. No only furs that have passed, but also notables/OG/OF (i.e [[Fred Patten]]), non-furries connected/or not to the fandom ([[Chris Sanders]], [[Kathleen Madigan]]), notable/OG/Of that have passed ([[Joshua Quagmire]]), and some/other special articles ([[Dogbomb]]).

:::[[Seel]] is a notable user who has been connected to Furry for a long time, and even if she is on hiatus, almost everybody (old and some new) is well aware of her, her art, her hobbies, and her [[webcomic]]s (hence the person infobox). It is up to the curators, with the occasional help from editors, that decide who gets one. Yes, [[Wikipedia]] almost infoboxes everybody, and we use the infobox syntax from them, but we do it our way on this.

:::Unfortunately '''raver neonlight''' would need time (fandom lore propagation, or sudden fame [a la [[Majira Strawberry]]]), to be eligible for one at this present time (yes, Majira does not have one presently because I haven't gotten to his article just yet). I hope this was clear overall, Abby-fennec. Cheers - [[User:Spirou|Spirou]] ([[User talk:Spirou|talk]]) 09:19, 25 June 2025 (EDT)

::::Hey again, [[Raver Neonlight]] was well know in the fandom for owning lots of suits by known maker like AlbinoTopaz, AutumnFallings and Phoenix Nest and many suits he had he often sold between LemonYote and Twilight_Saint. He was even that famous he had a hate page https://x.com/RaverNeonIight He ex partner deleted his twitter but his instgram is still up https://www.instagram.com/raver_neonlight/ with 27K followers. https://web.archive.org/web/20221003035711/https://twitter.com/RaverNeonlight here you can see after his passing he had 2,222 Followers.

== Request Removal of private DMs posted without consent in Talk:Israeli Furs article ==

Hey there!
I am Arnavii (to which Catwell referrs to as Arnavichii) - one of the administrators and co-founders of ILfurs.
Every bit of conversation of myself with Catwell were uploaded without my permission (the screenshots, and the pasted text) - same goes for every bit of conversation with Kovuah (authorized by Kovuah to write this in their name).
These conversations are edited to be out of context, and seem to be pasted here as a part of the same repeating pattern of personal meaures sfrom Catwell's side.
None of the massages (Mine & Kovuah's) were posted with my consent.

I request immediate attention for this situation, deletion of the private DMS, and making sure this violation does not repeat itself.

Thank you in advance.

The quoted private messages are part of a pattern of behavior that is relevant to the way the ‘Israeli Furs’ article is managed. The person quoted (Arnavii) is a community administrator who has used their position to make direct threats and to pressure contributors.
These messages were not published to shame anyone personally, but to demonstrate how administrative authority is being misused to silence opposing voices.
In that sense, they are highly relevant to the context of this article and its control. I would respectfully ask that they be considered legitimate under WikiFur’s guidelines concerning accountability and transparency.

== Explanation of removal of new page for vandalism ? Pretty new to creating ==

Hi! I'm Mido, and I recently have been looking at this wiki and have noticed there's a page with a community that is no longer active, that shares a name with an actual active community. I made a placeholder page but it was removed for vandalism? What would be the process to get that other page marked as old or archived? As none of the links go anywhere anymore and the group in the aforementioned existing page no longer exists in that form. Thank you! - {{unsigned|Midochinchilla}}

:Hallo. We have had several vandal users in the last few weeks who have done precisely what you did with your article (empty, single-worded paragraphs, etc.)... Also, regarding the comment "I made a placeholder page",... No, placeholder pages, especially with such a dearth or lack of data, are not (usually) permitted on the main wiki page (and again, are used by griefers et al).

:For WIP/"create-n-forget"/empty placeholder accounts, we suggest working on them offline (desktop), or inside your "User Page" until such time it is fully fledged for re-inclusion on the main wiki (do remember to indicate that the handle was formerly used on another social group). Hope this explanation helps, cheers. - [[User:Spirou|Spirou]] ([[User talk:Spirou|talk]]) 15:04, 8 July 2025 (EDT)

== Reinclusion of the Maldavius Figtree article due to public interest ==

From my understanding people have a right to ask to not be included in wikifur but there is also some form of rule that they can be force included if its in the public interest, unusually because of safety if someone has been convicted or caused controversy etc, currently [[Maldavius Figtree]] aka Pirate software has been involved in opposing and derailing https://www.stopkillinggames.com/ an EU and global petition to change the law. People are looking into his back history and making many videos and streams about him but are just coming up against a wiped wikifur page and speculating about his history.

I believe his past as a furry has now crossed into the public interest and formally request his article be reinstated and rebuilt to explain what he was doing in Second Life and what he's doing in the future. - [[User:Fesothe|Fesothe]] ([[User talk:Fesothe|talk]]) 17:41, 10 July 2025 (EDT)

:The controversy is mainly a mainstream (not furry) issue (plus that article was excluded 13 years ago). No, his furry past actually has no bearing in the issue whatsoever unless it affected a great deal of furries in the fandom.

:Reading the articles on main sites about he/she/them don't bring his furry past up or use it as a sticking point (making opposition videos while on [[fursuit]]?, no. Using [[furry art]] in media to oppose the law?, no again. Making [[furry memes]]?, no. Going after furries that have oppose him/her/them?, no, etc, etc).

:So, his furry past was just that, old furry lore, not a issue regarding current, not related mainstream events, and it doesn't take a psychologist to know what the furry angle would be used as (*cough* "sex with animals user does not want people to have fun" *cough*).

:Subject to change(s), there is not extraordinary hard furry reason to disregard the user's Personal Exclusion request from eons ago, and resuscitate the article. - [[User:Spirou|Spirou]] ([[User talk:Spirou|talk]]) 13:33, 10 July 2025 (EDT)

== Aeromorphs/Planesonas deletion ==

Hello! I'm interested in creating a page on this wiki for Aeromorphs. Although I'm aware you removed the Planesona page for "Mainstream, non-furry and/or another fandom". Although I would be creating the page under the page for specifically Aeromorphs, these two are directly related (as they redirect lol) to eachother. I thought about just submitting a proposal but thought it would be most proactive to come to you first before I began to create the page. I would love to be able to discuss the possible creation for the page or the reason the planesona page was taken down previously. I am very very new (as in I just created this account to hopefully make that page lol) to Wikifur and editing wikis in general, so if I put this in the wrong place or you would have a place you prefer to have this conversation please let me know ^_^ - [[User:AER0SAUR|AER0SAUR]]

:Planesonas, Aeromorphs, or any type of [[anthro]] equipmentsona/techsona is not [[furry fandom]] related. We already had a similar issue when vegetable personas were discussed as viable [[Wikifur]] articles (in that case, [[W:Big Idea Entertainment|Big Idea Entertainment]]'s ''[[W:VeggieTales|VeggieTales]]''). The [[furry fandom]] only covers [[anthropomorphic]] [[animal]]s and some [[creatures]] ([[alien]]s, [[monster]]s, [[mermaid]]s, etc). [[W:Hasbro|Hasbro]] and [[W:Takara Tomy|Takara Tomy]]'s [[Transformers]] were allowed only for the [[Beast Wars]] angle (i.e. conversion to animal form, not Transformers with partial furry elements [[[ear]]s, [[tail]]s, [[paw]]s, other]), but pure mechanics ([[Disney's ''[[W:Planes (film)|Planes]]'' or ''[[W:Cars (franchise)|Cars]]'') do not qualify.

:This would open/lead to a slippery slope to add >anything< as anthro(Anthro Tylenol, Nivea, iPads/iPhones/iPods, et al)... That said, we do allow artists to add non-furry species on their own articles, as long as some pure [[furry]] data is in there (i.e., true [[Fursona|furry fursona]]s).

:This query comes about every five years, and the only change from the last one was (again) allowing a [[furry artist]] to have equipmentsonas in their personal articles, as long as "pure" furry connection to the fandom was present.

:Hope this helps, but sorry it was not the answer you were expecting. Will equipmentsona be banned forever?, who knows, maybe in the future there will be something that allows their presence in the fandom/wiki, that is all i can say.

::I totally understand where you're coming from, but I disagree with the idea they aren't somewhat aligned with furry. A lot of this comes down to their anatomy, with prominent animal-like muzzles and tails. Some Aeromorphs, especially recently, have been even featured with digitigrade legs, paws, and even sometimes ears. It goes so far as artists having sometimes (really only recently from what I have seen) drawn them with fur or fully feral anatomy with mammal-like legs. While it is very common to see them with anatomy similar to a human (not that there aren't traditional fursonas proportioned similarly) I find they tend to look reminiscent to dragons with an airplane coat of paint, similar in concept to ''Dragon Pilot''. There are also quite a few Aeromorph fursuits like [https://x.com/ShagpokeStudios/status/1296612888753221637 Jazoray], [https://www.weasyl.com/~silversheep/submissions/1564242/fur4all-2017-normie-nomad-1 Normandy], and a few others on tiktok. If you look at a lot of the profiles of the people you see drawing Aeromorphs on things like deviantart, furrafinity, and other mainstream social medias, alongside it you can often find the artists are furries themselves or even tag their Aeromorphs under anthro or furry. Now I totally agree with you that Aeromorphs aren't explicitly ''furry'', and there are people in the community who I feel don't consider themselves as such. On the other hand though there are concepts on here like [[Therian]], or (this may be a stretch) [[werewolves]] that while not being a explicitly furry concept have a large enough overlap with the fandom to be included. Aeromorphs as of recent have also been gaining a lot of traction, with a lot more fursonas popping up around the species. There has been a huge resurgence leading to a lot of newer people to make characters just out of enjoyment of the unique concept for a fursona or just the history and community behind them. For a good example of this, looking up Aeromorph on [https://www.tumblr.com/search/aeromorph?src=recent_search Tumblr] gives a lot of examples of this new audience, notable by a cuter appearance and designs that are less anthropomorphic. A lot of these derive from the [[Airplane Dragon]] species (which is very similar to Aeromorphs, in my eyes being a subset of Aeromorph), but that is only the case for a few as there is a lot of Aeromorphs that are very separate from the species in design. Aeromorphs have a very interesting history and details with a lot of points of reference to be able to create a really interesting page, and have a large enough community around them to the point where I feel they can separate themselves from smaller more spread out anthropomorphized objects while having that strong tie to the community.

::quick edit: I just remembered this and wanted to add, one of the major influences and often some of the first credited aeromorphs on furry sites is drawings from the series [https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLBxkBXh-lCHHU2RSwN-rpFNMNcoUMfT6J&si=XBEhf-puRfVthcCm Aerotoons], made by [[Eric W. Schwartz]]. Just adding to those ties to the furry fandom :-))

::I hope this doesn't come off as combative at all, and I totally understand your reasons if you feel Aeromorphs don't fit on the wiki. I just felt I should discuss why I think they fit and thought I would give it a shot because I would love to make a page about them :-). Thank you so much for your time and responses - [[User:AER0SAUR|AER0SAUR]]

::Doesn't the inclusion of [[postfurry]] also show this can exist on the wiki? I know this isn't a democracy but I see no issue with aeromorphs being on here. --[[User:Zaisarel|Zaisarel]] ([[User talk:Zaisarel|talk]]) 18:35, 30 July 2025 (EDT)

:::I read both responses, but it still falls to a simple rule: It has to be [[furry]] ([[anthro]] is not the selling point here). Also, Wikifur does not dictate what goes or does not in the [[furry fandom]], we are a historical wiki, and historically, techsonas or anthro tech characters have never been accepted in the [[furry community]]; Yes, you can create them and display in such places as [[Fur Affinity]], be them created by well know [[furry artist]]s such as [[EWS]], but simple cursory search on social media or sites, mostly furry, does not have a large percentage of people clamoring for their acceptance, quite the contrary: Their arguments boils down to, again, that single point: furry.

:::Not saying they are a passing fad (still pops up frequently from time to time), but it is more of a curiosity than an accepted standard; again, we don't know what will transpire in the future, but currently it is a minority opinion more than a populist clamor.

:::Furry artists that have articles here can add almost anything to their articles, and mentions of Aeromorphs, teksonas/techsonas, or other equipment characters can be discussed in there, and/or their wish to make it a furry standard. That said, at this point, they are not part of furry lore, so they cannot be added. I hope this is informative, and as your statements, also not made in a combative mood. - [[User:Spirou|Spirou]] ([[User talk:Spirou|talk]]) 00:15, 4 August 2025 (EDT)

== Further copy-editing about Kovu (person) ==
I noticed that in 2021, you moved the page [[Talk:Kovu_Wu]] to the talk namespace. Recently, I've been considering revisiting and possibly editing this article, but I felt suspicious of the reported death of this person.Due to my strong investigative spirit, I find it difficult to accept this information without solid verification—such as seeing a tombstone ,there were several inconsistencies that raise questions for me. For instance, few of his known friends were willing to provide any direct confirmation, and the archived page from the Lion King fan forum was suspicious: all other sections are closed to reading, and only the thread remembering Kovu was visible—but only its title, not its content.

Furthermore, In Taiwan, anyone who used any trick encouraged others to divorce could raise legal concerns under the category of "Offenses Against Marriage and Family." And this was also the reason that I would like it recorded on WikiFur. Given this uncertainty, if I proceed to update the article, would it be acceptable to phrase it as “He was told deceased,” or use similar cautious language? Thank you in advance for your guidance. -- [[User:Kiba|Alphawolf Kiba]] ([[User talk:Kiba|talk]]) 10:39, 30 July 2025 (EDT)

'''Gaia Online''' (previously known as '''Go-Gaia''', informally called '''Gaia''') is a [[roleplaying]] site founded on February 18, 2003 by Derek Liu (Gaia username '''Lanzer'''), Josh Gainsbrugh (username '''L0cke'''), Long Vo (username '''VO''') and a team of their friends. The site currently revolves around its forum, avatars, and in-game currency, but also features games such as Lake Kindred, a creature battle system, and Runway, an avatar dress-up competition. After Adobe Flash Player was phased out of modern web browsers in January 2021, many of Gaia's hang-out spaces and games became unplayable; however, Lanzer and his team are currently working with Ruffle to get these working again.<ref>[https://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/gaia-blog/lanzer-s-work-diary/t.112107162_42/#42 Lanzer's Work Diary <nowiki>|</nowiki> Page 3 <nowiki>|</nowiki> Forum <nowiki>|</nowiki> Gaia Online]</ref>

Gaia's forum has over 2 billion posts plus over 191 million in storage, 30 million registered users, and usually has 3,000 or more people online at any given time during the day.<ref>[https://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/ Main Index <nowiki>|</nowiki> Forum <nowiki>|</nowiki> Gaia Online]. Archived May 14, 2024. [https://web.archive.org/web/20240514161309/https://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/]</ref>

Users earn "gold" or "platinum" by posting, lurking, answering polls, and through random events. Once a user has earned gold, they can use it to buy items to dress up their avatar. Due to the site selling gold generators directly for cash for a few years, platinum was introduced to cut down on the large numbers of gold and reduce inflation.<ref>[https://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/forum-sticky-archive/platinum-currency-faq/t.102871559/ Platinum Currency FAQ <nowiki>|</nowiki> First Page <nowiki>|</nowiki> Forum <nowiki>|</nowiki> Gaia Online]. == Gaia and furry ==

There are furry avatar bases available (cat, wolf, bear, fox, bunny) also known as Animal or Paw bases, as well as many furry-themed items for human avatar bases, such as various tails, ears, paws, and skin modifications for many species and potions that turn your human avatar into a [[centaur]], among other things.<ref>[https://www.gaiaonline.com/marketplace/itemsearch/?search=furry Item Search <nowiki>|</nowiki> Marketplace <nowiki>|</nowiki> Gaia Online] Search results for "furry"</ref>

There are many organized [[furry]] communities on Gaia.<ref>[https://www.gaiaonline.com/gsearch/guilds/furry Global Search Advanced Results], [https://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/?keyword=furry&cat=-1&type=-1&page_mode=1&gmode=search Search Guilds] Results for "furry"</ref>. The oldest furry guild on Gaia Online is Absolute Furry the Guild, formerly the Adult Furries Guild, which has over 3,000 members.<ref>[https://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/id.220/ Absolute Furry the Guild <nowiki>|</nowiki> Gaia Guilds <nowiki>|</nowiki> Gaia Online]</ref> There are also places like the HighTail Cafe, which is mostly a RP community guild open to all ages.<ref>[https://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds-home/hightail-cafe-furry-guild/g.60939/ HighTail Cafe (Furry Guild) <nowiki>|</nowiki> Gaia Guilds <nowiki>|</nowiki> Gaia Online]</ref> Absolute Furry the Guild was founded over ten years ago by [[J.Kougar]] and friends, but is currently moderated by [[_The_Black_Magic_Bunny_]].{{dubious}}

Several of Gaia's storyline NPCs are distinctly furry.<ref>[https://www.gaiaonline.com/newsroom/ Manga Archive <nowiki>|</nowiki> Gaia Online]</ref> The website's version of the Easter bunny is traditionally [[anthropomorphic]]. Many other characters, such as Diedrich and Radio Jack, fall under [[chibi]] instead. Carl and Rufus are more [[non-anthro]] in nature, although the latter is capable of speech.

Zilven's [[fursona]] is a [[Kirin]] ('''Qilin'''), a mythical [[creature]] from [[Asian folklore|East Asian folklore]].Zilven's appearance blends traits of a horse, dragon, wolf, and reindeer into a unique hybrid form.Beneath the surface, his body contains a bionic, semi-mechanical structure—engineered specifically to serve as a vessel for the consciousness of his creator.

==IP banned friend==

::And done!. - [[User:Spirou|Spirou]] ([[User talk:Spirou|talk]]) 01:59, 16 March 2025 (EDT)

:::Hey, thanks for taking care of that. I let Wayon know and showed him a screenshot of my inquiry and your response. As for his FA and Bluesky, he's been taking a break from social media this past week so that's why you didn't get a response. - Novar (meow) - {{unsigned|64.135.129.51 }}

== Edits to Furg ==

Can you breakdown why you keep making edits like that to the Furgeddaboutit page? I'm not looking to get into some sort of editing war here. The page seemed fine as is. This all seems wholly unnecessary. {{unsigned|Toofy}}

{{q|The page seemed fine as is. This all seems wholly unnecessary.}}

::We do not intend to track individual statistics like amount of artists or fursuiters at this time. Is it required that we do so for our page by WikiFur standards? {{unsigned|Toofy}}

:::* 2025 - 1032 attendees (??? artists, ??? fursuiters)

==Removal of false tag==

Hi! I'm Mido, and I recently have been looking at this wiki and have noticed there's a page with a community that is no longer active, that shares a name with an actual active community. I made a placeholder page but it was removed for vandalism? What would be the process to get that other page marked as old or archived? As none of the links go anywhere anymore and the group in the aforementioned existing page no longer exists in that form. Thank you! - {{unsigned|Midochinchilla}}

== Aeromorphs/Planesonas deletion ==

== Further copy-editing about Kovu (person) ==

As far as I know, [[Infurnity]] is genuinely led by [[J.C.]] and [[Zilven‎]], but I haven’t been able to locate a reliable reference about this. '''Marc Schirmeister''', also known as '''Schirm''' (born February 6, 1958), is a [[illustrator|classic arts illustrator]], [[Comic book|comic artist]], [[animation|animation storyboard artist]], and [[writer]] who has been mostly a "behind the scenes" player in the [[furry fandom]] since its beginnings. His professional full and freelance works include stints at [[Warner Bros. (company)|Warner Bros.]], [[DIC]], and [[Saban]]. He resides in [[W:Pasadena, California|Pasadena, California]], USA.

== Fandom involvement ==

An early art contributor to ''[[Vootie]]'' (the magazine recognized as the precursor for the early 1980's furry [[fanzine]]s,) he is also credited for the creation (along with [[John Cawley]]) of the long-running [[APA]] ''[[Rowrbrazzle]]''. He edited Brazzle for the first nineteen issues, then gave up control to long-time [[science fiction]], animation, and furry connoisseur, [[Fred Patten]].

He is the creator of the [[Okanozian]]s, a race of [[reptile]]-like [[centaur]]s with a very [[W:Fleischer Studios|Fleischerian]] look about them. An advanced alien race of (wingless) [[centaur]] [[dragon]]s, from the planet Okanozie.

==== Sci-Fi fandom ====

As a [[greymuzzle]], Schirm was active in [[science fiction]] fandom from the early 1970s. His covers and filler art appeared in too many SF zines to count, and continue to do so. In 2006 he was awarded the [http://www.scifiinc.org/rotsler/ Rotsler Award] for his [[fanart]] by the [[W:Los Angeles Science Fantasy Society|Los Angeles Science Fantasy Society]]. He was also nominated for the 2006 [[W:National Fantasy Fan Federation|National Fantasy Fan Federation]] Fan Art award.

== Update information ==
I would like to request more information regarding editing. On May 20, 2014, Timduru posted on FranceFurs Le Forum [https://forum.francefurs.org/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=8450] that he was planning to retire and would no longer provide hosting for WikiFur. However, based on my analysis of the IP change logs of WikiFur between 2017 and 2021, it appears that WikiFur was hosted by OVH SAS in France, and between 2011 and 2012, it was hosted in Germany. For the most part, WikiFur has been hosted in the US by Cloudflare. I am curious to know if only GreenReaper and Timduru are aware of who rented the hosting server for WikiFur and when. -- [[User:Kiba|Alphawolf Kiba]] ([[User talk:Kiba|talk]]) 07:18, 15 July 2023 (EDT)

Time flies ;)
The current server is still rented by me and costs shared between GreenReaper & me. Although that might change *soon* .. within 2 years, that remark is still valid :D

I think we need an ''inactive'' indicator or separate grouping for inactive broadcasts, as there are so many - either that or we remove inactive ones, although I think from an encyclopedic standpoint this is probably not the best idea. --[[User:GreenReaper|GreenReaper]]([[User talk:GreenReaper|talk]]) 12:55, 13 April 2015 (EDT)

The '''Sergal''' (<small>English pronunciation:</small> [ˈsɜɹˌɡʌl], <small>Japanese:</small> サーガル "''Sāgaru''"), is a fictional alien species created by [[Mick Ono]] and [[Kiki-Uma|Kiki-UMA]]. They belong to the ''Eltus'' race, alongside the [[Nevrean]] and [[Agudner]] in the ''[http://www.vilous.net/wiki/Vilous Vilous]'' universe, a science-fantasy world created by Mick Ono and [[Kiki-Uma|Kiki-UMA]].

They often are referred to as a blanket term in descriptions of the official lore, ''the three Eltus races'', composed of Sergals, Agudners, and Nevreans.

== Species ==
A Sergal is a race of shark-like headed people from the world of the Vilous universe. They are living on the planet ''Tal'', a completely alien planet populated by wondrous creatures and a strange flora, with sentient species of different origin interacting with one another. In the lost and ancient times, they appeared identical to Earth's humans, but due to an unspecified event, they had turned into their current form, a half-animal humanoid race.<ref>http://www.vilous.net/wiki/Eltus#Origin_of_Eltus_Race</ref> Important Note from Vilous Team, the presence of "''Planet Eltus''" formerly mentioned here has become an undecided element that '''is not sure to exist in the latest official lore.''' As the World of Vilous is an a-work-in-progress universe, all material, information, and sources are subject to change at any time with the further development of the Vilous setting.

While possessing individual personalities, they generally have simple-minded, easy-going, and optimistic character, which also sometimes shows an animalistic sensitive nature such as cowardice and a tendency to follow the crowd. Overall, they can be said to be sensuous people, usually depend on intuitive insights and sensuous feelings to consider and judgment something. Their simple-mindedness makes them focus on basic concerns, which leads to having poor awareness of the smaller details or the bigger picture. Noteworthy potential benefits of this are that they do not remember quarrels and not hold grudges, and easy to recover from shocking or sad happenings. Also, they tend to show comparatively equal and flat feelings to everything compared to the cases of other Eltus races, this feature helps them to function a pretty fair character that is lesser to have envy, jealousy, and strong emotional attachment for something. This nature is reflected in their usual behavior and manner, it's obviously contrasting from those of [[Agudners]] which tend to have strong emotional feelings and attachment including somewhat negative feelings such as envy and jealousy. However, due to their deeply religious nature and faithful mentality, they can behave with a mob mentality when influenced by a strong-willed or charismatic individual.<ref>http://www.vilous.net/wiki/Sergals#Personality</ref>

Comprehensively, they show the most animalistic natures in various aspects of their behaviors and abilities in comparison with other Eltus races, they provide the fastest running speed and strong leg strength, additionally superior intuition and susceptibility for nature.

Noteworthy, they have no obvious gender differences in their appearance and biological feature as they '''do not possess mammalian breasts and breastfeeding ability.''' Due to this, their physical strength, behavior, personality, and social role keep gender-neutral state basically.

Within the canon story, all Eltus races including Sergals consider and recognize themselves as "''human''". Because of this, they call each other "human" as a conceptual recognition. In addition, their civil rights are treated as "human rights".<Ref>http://www.vilous.net/wiki/Eltus#Eltus_Races</Ref>

Some people equated all Sergals to be akin to [[Rain Silves|General Rain Silves]], the most widely known Sergal, having a monstrously violent and sexually deviant nature. However, this behavior is generally confined to Rain and those under her influence. Because Sergals are designed to be a pretty friendly and peaceful race, the notorious stereotype for the species leads to deadly misunderstandings and misconceptions. Due to this, '''these stereotypes are distinctly denied by Vilous official''' because those are very harmful, not only to the species concept itself, but also to the species creators, [[Mick Ono]], [[Kiki-Uma|Kiki-UMA]], and everyone on Vilous Team.<ref>http://www.vilous.net/wiki/Sergals</ref>

== Design ==
The Sergal's design was influenced by a number of non-fictional animals but is not a hybrid. Mick has stated that the design was originally inspired by rabbits and fighter aircraft, while the feet were based on those of rabbits and kangaroos. <ref>http://vilous.net/wiki/Sergals#Trivia</ref>

==Biology==
[[File:Vilous_comic_page_5_from_EP_1.png|right|thumb|A Sergal is confronting the [[Talyxian]] forest leeches in a [http://www.vilous.net/wiki/Talyxian_Biomes Talyxian biome forest]. - From [http://www.vilous.net/index.php?cid=46 "Gathering Herbs"], the first episode of the official manga of The World of Vilous.]]
Sergals are predominantly biologically similar to mammals. Their noses are slim and pointy, as of the nose of a shark. They have rodent-like fingers, [[kangaroo]]'s feet, and a noticeably raised breastbone which is apt to be mistaken for a lump of fluffy fur in the center of their chest<ref>http://vilous.net/wiki/Sergals#Chest_and_breastbone</ref>. People often draw their ears the same as that of a cat, wolf, or fox. But they are like the Pokémon [[Pikachu]] or [[pokemon:Umbreon|Umbreon]], in that '''they don't have clearly visible external auditory meatuses on the outside.''' Strictly speaking, '''their meatuses are facing backwards (in relation to a dog/cat/fox's)''' In addition, due to their long fur, it is very difficult to see their meatuses at a side view as well.

Their eyes face outwards, such as a rabbits' or most reptiles', but all child and Northern Sergals' eyes face frontward. Generally, Sergal eyes, excluding those of Northen Sergals, grow to the sides of their heads as they age. However, only Northern Sergals keep their eyes on the front due to the alien environment of their home regions.

Due to their mouth and throat structure that is similar to those of avian and reptiles, prey such as small animals is able to be swallowed whole. When eating the meat of large animals they will cut them into chunks since their jaw structure and lack of molars makes their chewing ineffective. They can swallow piglets size things as the largest things that are able to be swallowed by them without cutting. Despite their shark-like face, damage from bite wounds is not so strong, because they have a very small amount of teeth (just 12 fangs that are similar to canine teeth) and their jaws are not as strong.

Some people may think that Sergals have forked tongues like that of a snake, however, this '''is not a natural feature''', but a surgical cut made for fashion or ritual. Rain Silves was the first Sergal to be seen with a forked tongue, having had it was cut by some kind of unconfirmed reason. All other sergals with forked tongues are mimics of Rain. Hence, the tongue forking did not exist as a common culture until Rain appeared.

A Sergal may live between 50 and 60 years of age, but the average lifespan of most Sergals is currently 20 - 30 years due to the many threats from dangerous and alien wild creatures living in their surrounding environment. In safer and civilized regions such as ''Gold Ring'', the largest and developed country in the south, they could live longer than Sergals living in other regions. Though, their lifespan is shortest in the three Eltus races.<ref>http://www.vilous.net/wiki/Sergals#Age</ref>

The average height of a Sergal ranges from about 6 feet to 6.4 feet tall <ref>[http://vilous.net/wiki/Sergals#Physical_description]</ref>, though this average has shown to be increasing over the past several generations.

While Sergals are technically [[omnivorous]] creatures, the average individual's basic diet will typically consist of small animals and [[fish]]. In Mick Ono's ''Old Age'' canon novella writings, they have also shown to have [[W:Cannibal|cannibalistic]] traits due to [[Rain Silves]]; Sergals as a whole have often been misunderstood as monstrously bestial due to this. But keep in mind that this is uncommon behavior for a typical sergal, and confined to Rain Silves and her vassals particularly.

A Sergal's coat may be any range of colors with various styles of markings due to the fur-dying culture performed in the eastern and southern regions, however, as a natural feature, they possess a straightforward two-tone color pattern like that of a shark or many earthly mammals, and hues are limited within a range of Earth tone.<ref>http://www.vilous.net/wiki/Sergals#Fur_and_hues</ref>

Irises, however, are limited in their color; either gray or grayish muted colors. However, there is at least one known case of mutation resulting in color changes, such as General Rain Silves' gold irises.<ref>http://www.vilous.net/wiki/Sergals#Eyes</ref>

Newborn Sergals display grayish fur in almost all of the entire body regardless of their ethnicity, as a feature common to all Eltus races. Their fur will begin to take on its natural regional color upon reaching the equivalent of 2 years in age.<ref>http://www.vilous.net/wiki/Sergals#Children_and_growth</ref>

Female Sergals also possess a prehensile [[W:clitoral hood|clitoral hood]] that covers their [[W:vulva|vulva]]. This hood has been described to "look like a [[W:tongue|tongue]]," and has been shown to be capable of grasping and manipulating objects, as well as entering the vagina, possibly to protect it. While they are covered in mammal-like fur, they are [[W:Ovoviviparity|ovoviviparous]] and '''do not have breasts and/or Nipples or the ability to breastfeed their young.''' Sure, they can accumulate fat by virtue of forced obesity in their chest, but they would not turn out as well.<ref>http://www.vilous.net/wiki/Sergals#Chest_and_breastbone</ref>

Meanwhile, people often draw [[W:Bulbus_glandis|a canines knot]] on the male Sergals, but they do not have it in the official canon. The canonical version of their penis possesses the head which is similar to that of Earth's humans but tapered at the tip. Worthy to notice, the shaft can be an uneven combination of slight bends, dents, and extrusions, each of these is different and unique for every Sergal. The structure of the penis is similar to canines where the penis is settled within a sheath while flaccid. When erect, the entire penis becomes exposed from the base to the tip. The testicles reside outside the body and are contained in a scrotum. Unlike females' clitoral hoods, males' penises are not prehensile.<ref>[http://vilous.net/wiki/Sergals#Male_genitalia]</ref>

=== Outdated design ===
The "Early New Age" canon introduced back around 2009 by Mick, was largely temporary and experimental (it included changes such as female Sergals having breasts, a feathery rear, Northern Sergal's ears are extremely short, etc.) As those "major features of the new Sergal" permeated, before very long some of those characteristics were discarded in the latest version of the official canon. Because of this, a confusing situation arose. This entry describes the information based on the New Age Canon and is the latest version at present. To find more about this in detail, read the [http://vilous.net/wiki/Canon#New_Age Sergals Vilous official wiki's page.]

==Lifestyle==
Sergal races differ by region- Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western. As a common feature that all Sergals share, their behavior, personality, and social roles keep '''gender-neutral state''' due to the little or no gender differences in their appearance and biological feature. These groups have civilizations of their own, and the world war was caused by [[Rain Silves|General Rain]], which had continued for a long time. The Shigu clan which General Rain leads, planned conquest of the whole of Tal.

Their animalistic natures and abilities appear on both their strong points and shortcomings. As strong points, it would turn as bravery and physical strength. Thereby, they are suitable for jobs that require exercise capacity and work extensively outdoors such as soldiers, hunters, and explorers. As for shortcomings, they are unsuitable for jobs that require logical thinking, concentration, and very accurate stereopsis such as crafting and engineering above a certain level. This is rooted in the structure of their brain and eyes. Sergals are generally unsuitable for technical jobs like mechanical engineering, however, they can still perform simple crafting or smith: Make basic armor or weapon from a material. But more complex work like carving, joining, and rasping is definitely a more line of work that is oriented for other races, such as Agudners and Nevreans, especially Agudners can exhibit the patience, dexterous hands, and steady stereopsis ability required to deal with the intricate nature of it all.<ref>http://www.vilous.net/wiki/Sergals#Summary</ref>

Worthy to notice, Sergals have strong intuition close to six sense and superior susceptibility to the natural environment. Due to this, they have the strongest capacity to deal with things that cannot be elucidated by logic and science such as supernatural phenomenon and shamanism.

Unlike Earth's humans, they generally do not stick to one partner and can accept flirting. Also, they do not have antipathy or aversion to homosexual relations because they value appearance most, do not mind about race differences and sex differences when they a romantic relationship with someone. Due to this, Their basic sexuality can be said to correspond to [[W:Polyamory|polyamory]] and [[W:Pansexuality|pansexuality]] in the case of Earth.<ref>http://vilous.net/wiki/Sergals#Sexuality</ref>

They do not care about the blood relationships of their children as Sergals generally raise children in a large social group, and they consider their community to be one large "family". Especially, in the Eastern and Southern regions, due to historical symbiosis with Agudners, which is a different race who cannot reproduce or cross-breed between them, taking the adoption of non-biological children is very common in their society.

Sergals also share their home with a number of other species such as the Agudners, who are a sapient [[Ungulate|even-toed ungulates]] species. Sergals are close to Agudners and have a very long history and relationship with them, primarily Eastern Sergals and Southern Sergals. Sergals and Agudners can cooperate with each other like the engaged gears while making up for each shortcoming with each strong point. Sergals deal with wildlife and the natural environment while Agudners are taking the development of technology. Thanks to Agudenrs, Southern Sergals were able to raised in civilized and developed culture earliest by symbiosis with Agudners from the early stages of history.

People often believe Southern Sergals live with [[Nevrean]]s. They are a sapient [[Dinosaur|feathered dinosaur]] species and are viewed below Sergals. Contact with Nevreans is limited to regions; Most Sergals did not know of Nevreans before Nevreans began emigrating to a southern city. The Nevrean's nation is both secluded and exclusive. Their homeland is located in the West. Western Sergals are less populous and considered a sub-species of Northern Sergals, and had a relationship with the secluded Nevreans. Western Sergals were almost destroyed by [[Rain Silves|General Rain]], and all alliances of Nevreans and Western Sergals were completely lost.

===Combat style===
Militant Sergals wear relatively light combat armor made of ceramic or metal armor. Southern Sergals wear metal; Eastern and Northern generally wear ceramic armor. This is rooted in the differences in available materials in each region. In ancient times, Eastern and Northern Sergals were also known to use bone armor.

Basically, Sergals love melee combat and are quite deadly at it. They prefer the use of polearms and bladed weapons as they find the most effective at dealing with Talyxian or even the occasional Eltus threats. Especially, blades also hold up a very distinct, spiritual meaning in lore as well as practical, which is why they are emphasized as the usual go-to solution, from the old-era all the way up to modern.<ref>http://www.vilous.net/wiki/Sergals#Weapons_and_combat</ref>

Sergals have a wide peripheral vision, superior dynamic visual acuity, and excellent situational awareness, however, their overall quality of vision is poor. Due to their eyesight working in conjunction with their brain structure, they are unable to focus on a single target well, and they '''cannot''' successfully use projectile weapons without assistance. However, they can practice simple long-range attack like a javelin at close range quite well. In addition, because currently within the Vilous setting there are fairly few firearms available, Sergals rarely use firearms.<ref>http://www.vilous.net/wiki/Tal%27s_Cultures_and_Technologies#Firearms</ref>

Their main proficiency is in evasion and strong offensive abilities, featuring quick, dynamic movements and leveraging their strong jumping ability. Their strength is in close range combat, and they can quickly close the distance from mid-range engagements. They will take advantage of their high stamina to run long distances, chasing down their enemy or prey until they do not have the strength to escape. when Sergals assume a scatter or dispersal tactic, the distance between squads is quite open and vast, across wide ranges of land.

Due to their size, their agility is inferior to Nevreans, but once they are up to speed, they can move the fastest and furthest of any Eltus race.

They can disregard their own defense to a degree when facing off against an opponent. Sergals secrete a large amount of adrenaline during combat and can ignore minor injuries and distractions. Their sensitivity to pain is dulled and their focus is sharpened significantly. However, their critical thinking also deteriorates and they will behave like a pack of lemmings without sufficiently skilled leadership.

== Types ==
The original species of them are Northern Sergals, and there are various regional differences who have derived from Northerners; Southern Sergals who got civilized culture earliest by symbiosis with Agudners from the early stages, Eastern Sergals who are a mixed breed of Northerners and Southerners, and Western Sergals who are an extinct race. But in the modern era of Tal, nationality such as ''Shigu'', ''Reono'', and ''Gold Ring'' takes up greater importance than race or subspecies because of the sheer amount of mixing gene pools by globalization.

=== Northern ===
Northern Sergals primarily live in the northern regions of Tal in primitive and rural areas near the forest, mainly ''Astna Plains''. They have the longest history and are the closest type to the original Sergal concept.

They have long, fluffy manes, usually with white abdomens, somewhat short ears and a slightly thick face when compared to Southern Sergals. However, these parts do not still reach to very short and thick levels like those of Eastern Sergals. Their primary fur colors are gray, blue, bluish gray, and bluish violet. As a noticeable physical feature, they keep forward-facing eyes even after reach adults, unlike Sergals who are living in other regions. This is caused by their undeveloped and wild environment composed of alien Talyxian biomes, which produce the unidentified and unknown components in the atmosphere that affect growth.

They lived a primitive tribal lifestyle with an animistic belief system for a long time, due to their cowardly and deeply religious nature. Their minds are easily influenced, a weakness [[Rain Silves|General Rain]] exploited.

After domination by General Rain, their lifestyle totally changed and most of them became combatants who are loyal to Rain. Then after the end of the war and reconstruction of Shigu, they finally got a civilized life.

=== Southern ===
Southern Sergals primarily live in the southern regions of Tal in rural areas, small towns, and ''Gold Ring'', the largest and developed country built on the shore of the great salt lake, ColVilous. A large majority live in the Gold Ring.

Their appearance differs greatly from their northern counterparts. Southern Sergals are generally shorter, slimmer, and thinner-furred. Their primary fur colors are brown, beige, blonde, and orange.

Southern Sergals consider themselves to be much more civilized and cultured than northern Sergals. They value cultured and civilized behaviors greatly because they have lived with another species, [[Agudners]], with whom they share their homes, jobs, and culture. Fashion is popular with Southerns, who enjoy dying their fur colorful hues. Gender differences do not still differ on the biological feature, but are more culturally apparent, with female Southern Sergals often having a more "feminine" fashion and behavior.

=== Eastern ===
Eastern Sergals are the most numerous type, are mixed of Northern Sergals and Southern Sergals, and primarily live in the middle east to the south of ''Planet Tal'', covering ''Reono'' and ''Gold Ring''.

They have longer, fluffy thicker fur more than those of Northern Sergals, and mainly deep colors like mixed colors; such as black, deep-gray, deep-brown, and deep-green. Their build is the biggest among all of the Sergals due to [[W:heterosis|heterosis]]. They have the shortest ears and thickest faces.

They share their culture with Southern Sergals, specifically civilized and cultured sociality by a relationship with [[Agudner]]s. Therefore fashion like fur dyeing is popular among them, too. However, they are somewhat rustic when compared to Southerners. Also, they have a very superior hunting technique, and because of this, there are many great hunters among them.

=== Western ===
Western Sergals are less numerous subspecies of Northern Sergals, living in the Northwest of ''Planet Tal'', mainly the ''Vetla'' forest. Due to below lore reasons, their numbers are very low, although they are treated as an extinct species in official historical facts.<ref>[http://vilous.net/wiki/Western_Sergals]</ref>

Their appearances are similar to Northern Sergals, with a slender body, and intermediate cold colored fur such as green-blue and purple mainly.

They share their culture with Native [[Nevrean]]s, specifically strict and clean culture with music, poem, and dance. They value beauty and arts greatly. There are many poets among them.

They had maintained a peaceful civilization of their own, but they were almost destroyed by [[Rain Silves|General Rain]] due to Rain's lust for beautiful things, and all history of them was completely lost. The few survivors took refuge in Gold Ring, a southern city.

Quadsuit

2013-03-08T15:46:27Z

Kiba: + zh

[[File:LionStretch-PrimalVisions.jpg|200px|right|thumb|A lion quad suit designed by [[The Blue Hyena]].]]
A '''quad suit''', '''quadsuit''' or '''quad costume''' is a [[fursuit]] that utilizes the wearer's arms as forelegs which assume the position of a [[quadruped]] character's own forelegs on the same ground or surface as the character's hindlegs. Such suits, which are less common than [[biped]] fursuits, are used in order to further impress individuals with a more "animalistic" (hence, realistic) pose and manner of movement.

Snow leopard

2012-07-25T12:55:01Z

Kiba: + zh interwiki

{{unreferenced}}
'''Snow Leopards''' (''Uncia uncia'') are a variety of big cat found in mountainous regions of central Asia, ranging from Russia and Mongolia through China and Tibet and reaching into the Himalayan regions of Afghanistan, Pakistan and India. Another name for the snow leopard is the Ounce.

== Key facts ==
*'''Body Length'''(mm): 900-1350
*'''Weight'''(kg): 50 average
*'''Litter Size''': 2-3 average
*'''Life Span''': 15-18
*'''Status''': Endangered

== Physical description ==
The snow leopard is not actually closely related to the common [[leopard]] or other members of the [[Wikipedia:Panthera|Panthera]] [[Wikipedia:Genus|genus]]. It is the sole member of the genus Uncia. Its inhibition to give a deep and powerful roar (due to an under-development of the fibro-elastic tissue that forms parts of the vocal apparatus) sets it apart from others in the big cat group.

Although having a similar rosette pattern to the leopard, they are less defined and are spaced further apart. The fur is long and wooly (fur length being between 1.5 - 2 inches = 4 - 5 cm in length), protecting the animal from the extreme cold of their mountainous habitat. They are generally grey with brown/yellow tinges on their flanks and have an almost white colouration on its underside. They have small ears mounted on a small head, with a distinctively heavy brow, holding enlarged [[Wikipedia:Paranasal sinus|frontal sinuses]], an adaptation to very cold air. Body size can be up to 1.3 metres in length, and they can weigh up to 70kgs. Their trademark [[tail]] can measure as much as 90cm and assists in balancing the cat. The limbs are relatively short and stocky, ending in large, sturdy [[Paw (anatomy)|paw]]s.

== Diet ==
The snow leopard stalks its prey in a similar fashion to the leopard, yet strangles it like a cheetah.
Prey includes animals such as [[wikipedia:Marco Polo sheep|Marco Polo Sheep]], [[wikipedia:wild goats|Wild Goats]], [[wikipedia:ibex|Ibex]], [[wikipedia:Siberian tahr|Siberian Tahr]], [[wikipedia:blue sheep|Blue Sheep]], [[wikipedia:marmots|Marmots]], and [[wikipedia:picas|Picas]].

== Social description ==

Snow leopards are active during the day and more active around dawn and dusk (crepuscular behaviour). There is very little known about the snow leopard's lifestyle. These secretive animals often meet to hunt and play.

The gestation period is 14-15 weeks, with 1-5 cubs being born from April to June. The same den site is used year after year by the female snow leopard. The cubs open their eyes at 9 days, and are weaned at 2 months. They generally stay with their mothers for 18 months.

Territory of 138-1,500 km² is held by males. Male and female ranges overlap, and pairs have been observed hunting together. Though usually considered solitary, they have long-lasting partnerships that follow a long courtship.

== Threat of extinction ==

There are approximately 4000-7000 snow leopards left in the wild, and they are hunted for fur and body parts; they are also killed by eating poisoned prey. They are protected in Russia and India, but hunting is still legal in Mongolia.

Talk:Kurrel the Raven

Kiba: Undo revision 364222 by 61.90.201.57 (talk)

I am curious as to why the list of Kurrel's aliases were removed in [http://furry.wikicities.com/index.php?title=Kurrel_the_Raven&curid=6333&diff=0&oldid=20902&rcid=28551 this edit]. --[[User:Dmuth|Dmuth]] 18:50, 17 Nov 2005 (UTC)

I just felt like it. --Kurrel

==Reason for Rollback==
There is a place for a bit of whimsy on WikiFur, but articles filled with patent nonsense can and will be edited down to only verifiable information. --[[User:DuncanDaHusky|Duncan da Husky]] 17:11, 10 Jan 2006 (UTC)

=== Kurrel's verdict ===

I appreciate there's good justification for DuncanDaHusky's public-mindedness based on the premise that wikis should provide accurate information. However, I really like Anfael's version of the page; its lies and fabrications are honestly so, plus it gives people a laugh. I'd rather have an indignant lie of a biography on this wiki than something completely straight anyway. If you don't understand why i would want that, you shouldn't be editing my article. I'm getting tired of public-minded citizens making corrections to this article in the name of accuracy and truth when they hardly know me. And verifiable information, Duncan? Nobody's so much as emailed me to check if what's on the wiki about me is kosher.

I realise now that it was a mistake to contribute an article with my name on it to the wiki in the first place. The article is therefore useless.

I choose to reinstate Anfael's article in place of a straight informational page on the grounds that it's a better expression of my own identity. I also choose not to be a pissing pole for humourless automatons with no greater purpose to serve.

If the wiki admins don't want Anfael's article about me here, i respectfully request that you delete the article entirely back to its blank state. I'd do it myself except that i don't (care to) know how. --Kurrel the Raven

:No problem, I just removed the contents and put the "excluded" template on the page. That should put a stop to any further edits on the article. --[[User:Dmuth|Dmuth]] 21:57, 11 Jan 2006 (UTC)

:I'm sorry that you feel that way. If you were looking for an expression of your identity, though, why not make a user page and put it there instead? You can say what you like on there (well, within reason, but it's a pretty big reason, given that it's the page that's coming "from you" rather than the article ''about'' you from WikiFur :-). --{{UT|GreenReaper}} 07:23, 12 Jan 2006 (UTC)

== Exclusion request ==

The subject of this article has requested [[WikiFur:Personal exclusion|personal exclusion]]. If anyone wishes to object to this, please do so within 24 hours. --[[User:GreenReaper|GreenReaper]]([[User talk:GreenReaper|talk]]) 15:40, 16 October 2011 (EDT)
:Excluded in 2006, un-excluded in 2007, then back to excluded request now, if I'm interpreting edit and discussion history correctly. -- [[User:Sine|Sine]] 17:46, 16 October 2011 (EDT)
:It's unfortunate that one of the more notable musicians in furry fandom doesn't wish to have an article about himself here, but I suppose that's not sufficient cause to decline the request. Besides, we already have a separate article about his best known song, [[The Furry Song]], which apparently isn't going away (and shouldn't; personal exclusion doesn't extend to notable works someone created, although I'm aware of at least one instance of [[Ted Blasingame|an author]] actually [[Blue Horizon|doing]] [[Hoenix|that]] which is as it currently stands (inappropriately, in my opinion, but I didn't want to get into an argument/edit war with him)). --[[User:Mwalimu|mwalimu]] 18:39, 16 October 2011 (EDT)
::Yes, I looked through but there didn't seem to be anything hugely notable, separate from his personal activities. ''[[Furry x 60]]'' also has an article of its own. --[[User:GreenReaper|GreenReaper]]([[User talk:GreenReaper|talk]]) 18:47, 16 October 2011 (EDT)
:I'm interested to see how this would go. While Kurrel himself is notable, what he's notable for, as has been discussed, has articles of its own. At the same time, he's been excluded before and changed his mind, which makes it seem fickle and suggests he may do it again. While I'm generally opposed to exclusion, I'm going to hold back a vote for this one. [[User:Equivamp|Equivamp]][[User talk:Equivamp|talk]] 08:56, 17 October 2011 (EDT)
::I didn't see anything raised or in the article which would preclude exclusion, so it's done. --[[User:GreenReaper|GreenReaper]]([[User talk:GreenReaper|talk]]) 01:44, 18 October 2011 (EDT)

Yena Dingo

2011-12-23T15:58:55Z

Kiba: Undo revision 353269 by 66.87.69.18 (talk)

[[File:YenaDingo.jpg|right|thumb|200px|Yena Dingo]]
'''Yena Dingo''' is the [[fursona]] of '''Tyler West''' (February 16, 1991), a [[furry]] who lives in [[Wikipedia:Oneonta, New York|Oneonta, New York]], U.S.A.

Created in 1998, Yena (Yen(¥)-ah) is a fun-loving [[dingo]] who has dark-brown fur covering his shoulders and back, right down to a cream blotch on his rump. His chest is also cream-colored, and he has a cut in both ears.

Yena is very carefree and wild. His hobbies are socializing, video games, art, music, karate.

==Controversy==

On October 17, 2010, Yena claimed to have passed away after a long struggle with leukemia.

Yena's "last" Facebook post read:
" live on paws and well you know the rest of the saying I don't know if I'll be on after this post but i had a good run and I'm glad i met all of you and who knows if I'm lucky we'll meet again like in wolf's rain or something. but until then take care every one i love you guys so much ♥ ♥ Yena Dingo ♥ ♥

Many people claimed that it was a fake due to his 'brother' logging in to Facebook to tell everyone and a number of other inconsistancies, however they were quickly silenced and ostracized by an emotionally hurt crowd.

On October 29, 2010, Falstaff Furr posted a new status<ref>Falstaff Fur , 10/29/10, "http://www.facebook.com/#!/permalink.php?story_fbid=166742910010863&id=100001376449168 Source 1"</ref>. "its true Yena Dingo is alive...". He was at first mocked however was proved to be correct when Yena himself posted to his status. ''"dont blame him i told him if he didnt do it i would let myself die"''

The resulting backlash was large and people were very upset.

== '''The Truth ==
Yena is actually one of the many different fursonas, such as Falstaff, of a man named Tyrell Reid. He has told two people that know this truth that it doesn't matter and that he's "raising a fanboi army" to defend him as he plays with the hearts of the fandom, not caring who he hurts. 'Yena' has used different methods to remove himself from relationships, such as his claimed death that he used to get out of a relationship with [[Rai Inuzuma]] and claims of betrayal to get out of a relationship with [[Riley Wolff]].

'''Facebook''' is a social networking website offering an interactive, user-submitted network of friends, personal profiles, blogs, groups, as well as various types of shareable media. It competes with [[MySpace]] as one of the largest social networking websites.

== History ==

It was launched in 2004, and membership was originally limited to Harvard students. Facebook started opening registration for students at other universities, then high school students and then employees of companies. In 2006 September, Facebook expanded registration so anyone could join<ref>http://www.facebook.com/press/info.php?timeline</ref> if they had a valid email address and a minimum age of 13.

'''Rednef''' is the second mascot of [[Fur Affinity]], along its main character, '''[[Fender]]'''.

== History ==
Fur Affinity's primary mascot, Fender, is a [[male]] [[fox]]/[[ferret]] hybrid ("ferrox") who is commonly depicted wearing a blue tie. On April 1st, 2007, as an April Fool's Day joke, the FA header and Fender account avatar depicted Fender as a [[female]] [[anthro]] [[dragon]] that resembled Fender in terms of color pattern, markings, and clothing. Fender resumed his normal appearance after about one week.

The header was used as a placeholder for the newly released dark theme until May, when FA announced that the female dragon was now a separate character from Fender, and that the site would now have two mascots, and that the new dragon character would be named Rednef, "Fender" backwards.

== Banners ==

The May 2007 banner is the first banner to feature her as a de-facto official character. from then on, she has appeared/been featured on several themed banners, by herself or alongside Fender.

Fender

2011-10-31T23:43:51Z

Kiba: + zh interwiki

[[Image:Fender2.jpg|right|300px|thumb|Fender, as drawn by Mutley James]]
'''Fender''' is a character created in a joint venture, visualized by [[artist]] [[K-9]] based on an idea by [[Preyfar]] a.k.a. [[Dragoneer]]. The wily critter serves as the energetic [[mascot]] for the [[Fur Affinity]] website.

Fender frequently appears in fan art of varying themes, and on the site's banner each month, by a new guest artist.

Fender is a "Ferrox" (part [[ferret]], part [[fox]]). Some of his trademark characteristics include his cobalt blue necktie, dark brown sock-style markings on all four limbs and dark brown fur surrounding his eyes in a mask pattern.

==Fursuit==

The '''Fender''' suit was constructed by [[Whitewolf]] and debuted at [[FurAffinity: United]] 2010. The suit is worn only by its semi anonymous owner. The suit has been spotted at several events since its debut at FA:U 3 including [[Anthrocon]]2010 and multiple [[Delaware Furbowl]]s.
