'''Furfag''', also known as '''Furry Fag''', is a demeaning term used by [[anti-furries]], [[nonfur]]s, [[4chan|/b/tard]]s and/or [[goons]] to describe a member of the [[furry]] community, a condescending way to "acknowledge" a [[fur]]'s presence during online discussions, and/or a real life visual antagonizer (as a [[Wikipedia:Graffiti|tag]], sign, or other types of visual media,) in an effort to either taunt, insult, or provoke a reaction out of the person(s) targeted.

Furries on /b/ have been seen replying to the insult with, "I've yiffed in hell. It was hot."{{fact}}

Used by furs as well as non-furs, it is also used to describe a fur known for starting drama, someone who craves more attention than they deserve, and those who seek emotional support when their emotional strife is truly non-existent. Also sometimes referred to as “emofurs”, furfags tend to represent all that is negative about the furry fandom. As the term suggests, furfags are usually homosexual, and show signs of femininity through their drama and purposeless conquests to convince the world they are the victims and deserve to be pitied and loved. Furries most commonly known to be furfags are those with their fursonas represented by *dragons, especially those aligned with the color black or the element of “shadow” or “*shade”. Even though the term is a [[wikipedia:portmanteau|portmanteau]] of the words "furry" and "fag" ("fag" being a derogatory term for "[[wikipedia:homosexual|homosexual]],") it is not usually intended to imply anything about the target's own sexuality, but rather about their participation in the [[furry fandom]], indicating that being a furry is just as distasteful as being a homosexual. The suffix -fag may be applied to other terms in a similar manner.

The most common use of the term in a phrase or [[Wikipedia:Image_macro|image macro]] is the text [[Wikipedia:Meme|meme]] "''Yiff in Hell, Furfags''", used by the above mentioned groups as a way of disrupting [[List of furry discussion forums|discussion forums]] and [[List of furry chat rooms|chat rooms]] (web based or [[IRC]],) and when vandalizing pages on [[WikiFur]] and furry-related pages on [[Wikipedia]] (often written in all-caps, and copy/pasted in a continuous repeated sequence).

It has occasionally been seen at furry gatherings or [[convention]]s in the form of graffiti, printed media (stickers, flyers, etc,) or signs and placards, such as the ones used at the [[Anthrocon_2007|2007 Anthrocon]] /b/tard protest.
