'''Chakats''' (pronounced ''ch'cat'') are a [[feline|felinoid]] [[taur]] [[species]] once described as "Everybody's favourite over-perfected cat". They are the creations of [[Bernard Doove]], inspired by some ideas brought forward by other people for their own characters, most notably: [[Mike Higgs]]' [[Kendarii]], [[Roy Pounds]]' [[Garetta]], [[Mary Lynn Skirvin]]'s snow cats and other similar characters.

Chakats are extremely social creatures, needing both physical and emotional contact regularly. Due to their empathic nature, this is frequently more intimate than most. It also means that they try to be friendly with everyone, but when crossed, can be dangerous enemies.

In the [[Chakona Space]] universe, chakats were [[genetic engineering|designed]] as first-landing colonizers and ideal organisms of high intellect and great physical capacity; in space, their extra limbs allow them extra maneuverability, and when their colony ships land, they can act as their own heavy equipment. In addition, being hermaphroditic allows their population to expand quicker than a normal colony.

Chakats have the lower body of any of the big [[cat]]s, a [[humanoid]] torso, and [[anthro]]-feline faces. They have prehensile [[tail]]s, are all functional [[hermaphrodite]]s, and all have [[feminine]] [[breasts]]. All four paws of their Taur half have retractable claws and the front paws have elongated toes with the dewclaw modified into a semi-thumb. This does not interfere with walking or running, but it does enable them to grasp objects. Adult heights range from about 1.5 to 1.7 metres (5' to 5' 8"), while their weight is between 160 to 200kg (350 to 440lb). Though Chakats were designed to be "ideal organisms", Chakats have four major disadvantages. First, they are large, which means they are unwieldy in cramped areas. Second, they have increased life support requirements, including air, food, and water. Thirdly, they are very sensitive to high temperatures making their inhabitable range more limited. Finally, they can suffer from mild [[atavism]].

==Family life==
Chakats enjoy a very open and active [[polyamorous]] lifestyle, with each member of the family supporting each other in the upkeep of the family as a whole, whether it is by providing or helping to raise the cubs.

Chakats have a complex [[mate|mating]] system, including (in ascending order):

* ''Denmates'' - those one formally brings into the family
* ''Lifemates'' - those one wants to live with, grow old with, and die with

'''Sergal''' (サガル Sagar) is a creation of [[Trancy_MICK|Tracy Mick]]. A Sergal is a species of creature native the the planet of Vilous where they live. People often make the mistake of calling them hybrids, but they are not - they are a species in their own right and not a combination of other animals. They borrow from existing Earth creatures, however. They have been described as having canine, avian, raptor, and shark traits.

==Biology==

Sergals are predominantly biologically similar to mammals. The average lifespan of a Sergal is between 60 and 80 years of age, but most will not live past 20 - 30 years because of the constant warring between their two subspecies. The average height of a Sergal ranges from about six feet to six and a half feet, though this average has shown to be increasing over the past several generations.
While Sergals are technically omnivorous creatures, the average individual's basic diet will typically consist of of small animals and fish. In TrancyMick's orignal Novella writings, they have also shown cannibalistic traits.
A Sergal's coat may be any range of colours with various marking.
Chromatic limitation of the irises are a simple gray or blue. However, there is at least one known case of mutation resulting in color changes, such as General Rain Silves' gold irises.
Female Sergals can be identified by the feathers which grow from both sides of their tail bases. The female Sergal also possesses a prehensile clitoral hood that covers their vulva. This hood has been described to "look like a tongue," and has been shown to be capable of grasping and manipulating objects, as well as entering the vagina, possibly to protect it.
Male Sergals lack feathers on their tails and only possess fur where the feathers would be in the female.

==Lifestyle==
There are two subspecies of Sergal, Southern and Northern.
Northern sergals that live in the Tatola Desert, have long, fluffy gray or black fur, short ears, and a short, thick face.
Southern sergals live in the Sailzane Desert, have short, brown or yellow (or other "earthy" colors) fur, long ears, and a thin, long face. They are smaller than their Northern relatives.
These groups have been at war for a long time.
Militant Sergals wear ceramic armor and are armed with spears. Their strong legs allow them to run as fast as horses. The intelligence of sergals is on the level of a 14-year-old human. Though individual personalities differ, all of them share the same characteristic of loyalty to their commander.

==Rain Silves==

[[Rain_Silves|General Rain]] heads the northern group of sergals. Her golden eyes are a mutation, subjecting her to much discrimination in her childhood. Another interesting detail is Rain appearance she seems to have both northern and southern sergal characteristic, She is considered a crossbreed sergal. She is seven feet tall, which taller than the average sergal. Rain's mother once tried to kill her and left scars on her neck. She is known for her combat prowess. She appears abnormally coldhearted, especially toward those of the opposing Reono clan. Her clansmen are extremely loyal, but they all hold a general fear of her.
Interestingly, it is known that she likes the strange young boy Karukato Rushiya. It is said that both her animal characteristics and her motherhood instincts exist within her, creating a conflicted persona.
When she meets with subordinates, they salute her by covering their left eyes with their hands. This shows both fear and obedience to their leader.
