Condition
Condition is an annual furry convention held in London, Ontario, Canada.

History
Condition was conceived out of a desire for an Ontario-based con after several previous cons in the area, such as C-ACE, had folded. The concept was to take the idea of a con theme and push it to its logical extreme: create an overarching storyline that links each iteration of the convention together through story and dramatic presentations. A team of writers were assembled to provide the story for the convention, which has many tie-ins outside of the printed page. These include:

* A recap of the entire story thus far, followed by an in-character skit and presentation during opening ceremonies
* A second skit to end the convention during closing ceremonies
* Story-related events that run on audience participation happening throughout the convention's duration
* Additional stories and podcasts released before, during and after each convention

Additionally, the highest level of registration is known as the Story Arc Sponsor, where said person is written directly into the story and is involved with the accompanying presentations. During the convention's charity auction, appearances and commissions in the style of the story are also offered. The second year, Red, was also subtitled "The People's Furry Con" to re-enforce the fact that community involvement is an underlying theme to the convention.

The convention is widely known for its charity auction, hosted by Kamber Lane. The event features highly animated bidding wars over a multitude of items, leading to the ladder auction that concludes the auction. During the ladder auction, additional items are added when a certain price point is reached. Zero Hour's auction procured the highest single item amount for a first year con in the history of furry: $1500 CAD for a "multipass" that gave the owner Story Arc sponsorship to five conventions along with multiple other incentives.

The second year of Condition's auction was once again the site of a series of highly animated bidding wars between several generous attendees. It was again hosted by Kamber Lane with many of the staff involved at the Ladder auction finale. The auction became very heated at times eventually exceeding the staff and Auctioneers expectations. The 3.5 hour long auction had several highpoints including the prophesy of the Pinkapocalypse created by Potoroo bidding, the cut throat rivalry between Xaber and Chazore, and a run away spontaneous mini-ladder that took Thaddius Effingham's Book to $2000 alone.
Condition is believed to have set several records when the 2011 auction raised a boggling $10,586 CAD. The final ladder auction reached $3500 by itself. This roughly equates out to $40 for every one of the roughly 250 attending.

The con also features an interactive spy game that determines major changes in the Con's story arc, as well as an assassin game throughout the con using Nerf, or improvised fictional weapons.

It started when a late night ramble through MFF became a gathering of people with nothing else to do. Kamber, being wired on Red Bull or simply being Kamber, galloped through the late night con spaces gathering anyone she remotely recognized and giving them a room number where Rozberk was setting up a make shift bar. After 2 hours the party grew to 50+ people and gained 2 noise complaints. A number that is now considered to be the minimum needed to qualify as a successful Dead Horse Party. The entire 50 person party then moved through the hotel in a snake of various inebriation levels until it found a home in the room of Chartreuse, who was kind enough to host the second stage.
The party has become tradition at any con Kamber and or Rozberk are attending and has grown in size over the years.
The motto of the Dead Horse Party is "Everyone is invited, but not everyone can stay." In a strict refusal of making the party invitation only, anyone is allowed in, although a room vote can remove anyone being disruptive. To date only one person has ever been asked to leave any of the 25 parties. This one instance was due to being underaged and not behavior based.
The other motto is "Nothing can beat a dead horse" although this is less empirically tested. For good reason.
The flagship Dead Horse Party is held at MFF each year as this is local to Kamber. In 2010 this party somehow obtained a portable Stripper Pole stage, a two story Suite and DJ booth. The Dead Horse Booze Ninjas

At AC 2010 the Dead Horse was very under equipped by Sunday night as far as booze goes. This was due to partying every night of the con, a not too infrequent event in Kamber's room. The evening of the Dead Horse Party a Twitter and Text appeal was sent out to bring what ever could be spared or donated to help cover the booze shortage. Within 2 hours, over 107 bottles of various whiskeys, rums, vodkas, ciders, beers and more appeared within the room magically. The fine folks who somehow appeared out of nowhere with booze are now known as the Dead Horse Booze Ninjas.
They are an elite, never seen cloud of vague inebriation said to be descended from a splinter group of Santa's elves who were exiled from the North pole after leaving Everclear in the stockings of Children world wide in the late 90's. Their calling card is obscure half-filled bottles of hard liquor and a vague sense that someone has been nearby, drunk.

Kamber (Also known as Kamber Lane and Kamber G. Lane) found the fandom in late 1998 through FurryMuck. The character was originally created as a female Shetland Pony and has undergone several changes in style, gender and attitude throughout the years but has always remained a Shetland Pony. While more widely seen in art in the hyper and herm style, she is now portrayed more realistically and is fully female.

In the early 2000's Kamber began broadcasting a fictional news program on what was then known as Wolffox radio that was put together by Gentle and 2 gryphon. The show, known as Wolffox News with Kamber Lane and Jack Dancer, had 12 to 15 episodes based around parody news stories such as The Mad Cow Invasion, the Macro Football League and Interviews with Lucifer. The show came to a halt when the player ran out of free time and the radio station started having troubles with what would eventually become the death of live365.

Kamber is a regular on the con circuit and began fursuiting as the pony in 2001. The fursuit has seen few changes beyond clothing and hoof designs that are more comfortable and safer. Kamber is often seen suiting with her best friend in the fandom Roxikat. The fursuit has been on hiatus since 2009 awaiting repairs and possible redesign. Kamber also suits in a Steampunk German Shepherd with a Jet Pack named Jack Dancer who is pat of the Daedalus Crew.Kamber is currently only attending Condition and MFF yearly.

Dead Horse Party
During a late night stagger about MFF 2006 the now semi-infamous Sunday parties began. These parties are hosted by Kamber, a Shetland Pony, and Rozberk,a Pegasus Unicorn and so became known as the Dead Horse Party named after the famous Dead Dog parties. The motto of the Dead Horse Party is "Everyone is invited, but not everyone can stay." demonstrating an open door invitation to all that can behave themselves.

Kamber was guest of honor at the 2010 Condition furcon in London Ontario, along with Potoroo and Roxikat. She became the auctioneer for the convention and that year set a record for the most money raised by a single item in a first year con at $1500CAD. Kamber was the auctioneer for the 2011 con as well. In a 3.5 hours riot the 250 person convention mnaged to raise $10,586 cad for the Salthaven.ord charity, fulfilling the rehabilitation centers entire yearly fund raising budget.
