Stan Sakai is a Japanese American who has been writing and drawing comics since 1984. Born in Kyoto, Japan, Sakai grew up in Hawaii and presently resides and works in the Los Angeles area.

His most famous and critically acclaimed work is Usagi Yojimbo, although he has created or worked on many comics of interest to furries, including Albedo Anthropomorphics, Beauty of the Beasts, Cutey Bunny, Nilson Groundthumper and Hermy, Ninja High School, Space Usagi, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, as well as many well-regarded non-furry comics as Groo The Wanderer, the Sunday strips for the serial Spider-Man, the comic book Shi, and occasional covers for Marvel and Disney comics. An award-winning artist, his accolades include multiple Eisner and Haxtur awards, as well as Best Anthropomorphic Comic Book in the Ursa Major Awards five times running for 2001-2005, with a double award in 2004 for The Art of Usagi Yojimbo.

Stan Sakai's art style is distinctive. Although his art style is influenced strongly by traditional Japanese Kemono, he also uses simple line designs like many funny animal cartoons, and his character's faces can go very wild during a 'take', he also includes many realistic traits; characters generally are anthropomorphic, and have at least a slight amount of biological plausibility. His designs may have been the influence of the later Mobian designs used in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic book and animations. However, one thing that Stan Sakai has never done is drawn a tail on any of his characters; in Fantagraphics #24, he stated that "... giving them tails would make them somehow a bit too animalistic," and that he, himself, doesn't know whether or not Usagi Yojimbo has a tail.

Although not himself a furry, Stan Sakai appeared as the guest of honor at Anthrocon 2004. Although he had been leery of attending furry conventions in the past, he and his family enjoyed themselves. Since that first visit, he has planned other visits to other furry conventions; not as a guest of honor, but a fellow convention attendee. Stan Sakai was also the guest of honor at Eurofurence 16 and XII.

Aragon Tigerseye

Character
Aragon R. Tigerseye has been subject to a few changes over the years. Starting as a winged tiger (see Image1), he remained like that for quite a few years until he, kindled by his love for rubber and latex, changed his form into a living latex form, becoming a rubberfur. Around that time he also adopted the R (for "Rubber") as middle initial and started calling himself RubberTigerseye on IRC.

Slowly other factors began to seep in and he was changed to a skunk, leaving his tiger heritage behind. Not too far tho, as one who looks at him might notice (see Image2), and he still has his wings, tho nowadays he usually retracts them into his back when they're not in use.

Real Life
Aragon Tigerseye is a German fursuiter from the vicinity of Mönchengladbach, currently living there in a house with three other furs. He joined the furry fandom in the mid-1990s and became interested in fursuits at Eurofurence 4. While he is not building fursuits or taking care of Eurofurence's fursuit lounge, he is a puppeteer and puppet builder for the Eurofurence pawpet show, DoPE. He is also a gag author for the F8K radio show, frequently teaming up with Xan, one of his RL housemates.

Tigerseye is the helpdesk and character creation wizard of Furscape MUCK.

EosFoxx is a German furry artist. She loves the luminaries, nature, wind, sunflowers, chinese food, tea and her acrylics.

Fursona
EosFoxx is a catvixen. She has blue eyes and brown hair and is tiny, similar to the "human" Eos. Her base fur color is a dark red (a mixture between burnt umber and crimson). She has a black stripe on her bridge and her shoulders, on each thigh and an extra one over each of her blackpaws. Her ears and the tip of her tail are also black. The fur at her throat and stomach is totally white.

Eos is seen on four and on two legs and has only wings when she is happy.

Picture of the character by EosFoxx

About her name
Eos had to change her nick once as stalkers followed her through the internet and started to make trouble in her life. She chose the name of the winged goodess of dawn - Aurora, also called Eos - because she loves the blue hours of every day and her character has also wings.

Art
EosFoxx shows her art at many internet galleries and at conventions in Europe.

Her style is often realistic but she also likes toony styles. Most of her art is done in traditional media such as acrylics and pencil.

Fandom activities
EosFoxx has run a small Furmeet called Fur-CAMP since 2004. She also helps at Eurofurence and has a lot of fun giving a helping hand at every convention. She goes to most German cons.

Jaryic: +cat

Richard Nightfox is a German red fox salesman (Black-Paw Productions) and fursuiter, the fursuit character being a fox of course. Like all foxes (particularly those of a technical bent), he likes to push buttons, and so he is the lighting engineer for Eurofurence's stage events. Nightfox is best known for his legendary parties.

When he's not touring the U.S. West coast with a 32 ft RV or driving with his Jeep through the Ruhr Basin, Nightfox is working for a German liqueur manufacturer which coincidentally has two furry mascots...

Fursona
Nightfox' fursona is a red fox, often seen with a long black coat.

Furdom activity
Richard Nightfox is the vice-chairman of Eurofurence and also acts as the location relations manager and stage and lighting manager. In addition, Richard is a salesfox, distributing furry magazines, comics, books, videos, etc. in Germany through the Black-Paw Productions shop, usually at conventions but also online.

Jaryic

2011-12-05T13:54:10Z

Jaryic: +cat

Henning "Jaryic" Stalke is a German musician and fursuit maker, and the second part of the Black-Paw-Productions Team. He is also the 'R' of the informal band ERF. Jaryic still composes songs in his free time and plays several instruments.

Fursona
His full name is Jaryic Faux DePawn, and his fursona is a anthropomorphic Red Fox, often shown in medieval clothing. Jaryic was formerly known under the name Redlouts.

Jaryic has built and helped building several fursuits, of course always fox characters.

Furdom activity
While still known as Redlouts he played the song Always Around for track 6 of Furry Fantasies II, as well as singing for the song To Your Mind (track 10) and Furry Art (track 5).

He was an important part of Heather Alexander's German furry band at Eurofurence XI and XII in Nuremberg (piano).

Due to his significant technical interests, Jaryic is the stage technical manager of Eurofurence and cares for the audio equipment. He records events such as the Heather Alexander concert at EF-XI and the pawpet show (DoPE). After, Jaryic also professionally reworks those records.

Together with Nightfox he runs the administration of their German furry shop called Black-Paw-Productions. They distribute furry magazines, comics, books, videos, etc. in Germany, usually at conventions, but also online.
