Hi everyone! My name is Shade23 and I am new to the community. I stumbled upon the idea through a podcast i was listening to, and the more i think about it, I feel I have always been one. I always chose the animal races in videogames (which i play a lot of), and I have always loved the idea of living in something like World of Warcraft or some other place with animal-humanoids. I wanted to make a fursona, but I don't really know where to start. Also I am in school and I live with my family -who no nothing of this- and I don't have any friends that I know of that are furries, only a few even know what the word means... but if someone could show me how to get started into the whole thing that would be great. Thanks!P.S. I don't really know how to use wiki's either so if this comes out all weird sorry.[[User:Shade23|Shade23]] 01:46, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
Welcome!
I'm also really new at this so I'll just tell you what I did, Read as much of wikifur as you feel you need to. You don't need to choose a fursona right now, some people just have it come to them later. I'd recomend you check you livejournal, there're a few fur communitys there that you could talk to, furrtive is a good one. Lemme just hand you this advice: You don't have to tell everyone, it's like being a stargate fan or something, not a fact you need to spread about. I play warcraft too, if you play try the fursofwow board, I got I use the same name on lovejournal so if you have more questions ask me. Try to avoid youtube, the anti-fur sentiment can be sorta bad on youtube and they don't have any clue, so don't worry about what they say. I'm rambleing, welcome and enjoy the fandom. Welcome to WikiFur!=) I, too, am new here and I had that feeling you have, too. Infact, that's almost the same position I am in right now, except that I don't play WoW, but don't worry, I'm friendly!=)I also recommend you do what Xeans said, "You don't have to tell everyone.".
Hello, everyone!I'm new here and am quite unfamiliar with Wikipedia style editing, so please forgive me if any inconveniences arise from me.I joined here because I have an interest to furries and their wonderful fandom(no sarcasm was put in while typing this.=)).I hope we'll all get along and have fun!=)I'm also quite unfamiliar of this fandom because I play an MMORPG that's BARREN of furries and such(so much for the RP in that game...).Also,please forgive me if I get cynical or pessimistic to an extreme, which probably I won't do here,I sometimes cannot leave things alone...But don't worry,I'm sure we'll all a good time here.Thank you for reading this and your consideration!=)
