== Inaccuracies ==

ED doesn't use "the same liscense (sic) as WikiFur." ED's content isn't licensed under CC-BY-SA 3.0. The host dropped ED because it violated [http://www.securedservers.com/aup.php their AUP]. If anything, the DMCA was just a wake-up call, since they apparently don't visit any of the websites they host unless someone calls their PR department. In addition, CloudFlare isn't a webhost. IIRC, Girlvinyl only DMCA'd her article and not the entire site. I'm not even sure if it's necessary to report every bit of downtime ED has. It's certainly important to us now, but would it mean anything years from now? Originally, Renard Queenston was a male [[anthropomorphic]] red, black, and white [[fox]][[Raccoon|coon]] with shoulder-length hair. This version's markings were similar to that of a raccoon's, while he bore a physical build much like a fox's. In 2009, he was redesigned, with black hair, dreadlocks and a nurse outfit. Later on, it was decided that Renard is a genderless being, as Renard felt it better represents what he does creatively.

The group originated in the art community, DeviantArt. It was founded by Valgaror, IBurnFurrys, FurryGriefer, FurryHunter, Dave J. Snacke and [[FurrySlayer4Life]]. It resided on DA for a period of approximately 3 months, gathering and displaying a large amount of anti-furry artwork from users like [[BalrogTheClown]], [[FlyingDebris]], and several other banned deviants. When it was founded, the group consisted of 3 members. At its peak, it had about 40 members plus watchers, most of whom actively submitted media.

Being a student, Seil's artistic style can vary, but tends to stay within the realms of Graphic Art or Expressionism.

Despite holding a quite negative view on the [[furry fandom]] (for reasons such as over-sexualization), and not classing himself as an active member of the fandom, as of March, 2011, Seil reguarly attends the Monthly Furmeets in Manchester with his current partner.

== Character ==
Seil's [[character]] is a [[Wikipedia:Striped Hyena|Striped Hyena]] with markings typical of a member of that species and some based loosely on [[wikipedia:Printed Curcuit Board|PCB]]. He has orange eyes, the darker muzzle and underbelly typical of Striped Hyenas and stripes down his side that reach out from a primary stripe down his back which starts at the base of his red mohawk, running down to the tip of his tail. He also has a slightly curved [[wikipedia:chevron|chevron]] at the side of each eye.

Previously Seil's character was a teal [[Wolf (species)|wolf]], again with both natural and more geometric markings, resembling a timber wolf and [[fox]]. The change was brought about by a change in his outlook on life.

He is most commonly depicted as wearing black or red, and is usually dressed in jeans, an open shirt, and a t-shirt. However, more recently, Seil has been drawing his character in attire typical of a Janitor, due to his part time work. He also has his ears pierced 5 times, the left 3 and the right twice. Two of the piercings, one on each ear, are stretched to 10mm, and are usually fitted with Flesh Tunnels.

== The History of Night Shift ==
Night Shift was created in 1991 by Cindy (Muncy) Ramey, although it was not called Night Shift until 1998. It was formerly known as CK Agents, with CK being the initials for Carter Kenrick (a character from the comic) who at first was the leader of the group. Janie (Dutton) Lemaster contributed to the comic in 1991, helping with the plot and creating two characters whose names are Roxy Ann Drake and Jack Howard.

Throughout the years different subjects, including COPS, Dog City, Batman, X-men, Forever Knight and Law & Order, influenced the creation of new characters in the Night Shift world.

== The Plot ==
The story is set in New York City in the late 1990s.
Night Shift is about the special agent crew that works the night shift for the New York Police Dept. The night shift crew deals with many crimes in the city. Their major enemies are the Big Claws Gang. The Big Claw is the secret leader that keeps an army of skilled thieves, smugglers, and assassins under his wing to do his dirty work.

The Night Shift crew consists of seven main characters with conflicting personalities. These are two bikers, a smart mouthed Italian, one over-achiever, a generous nice guy, a pushy speak-whats-on-her-mind girl from the hood, and a vampire who's just trying to be normal.
