:Personally, I don't think listing someone as a hyperfur is a whole lot different than identifying someone as a macrofur or microfur... in most cases, hyperness is a matter of such blatant degree that it's just a plain (and therefore categorizable) fact of the character. The '''YouTube Furry War''' is a term used to refer to a sharp increase of [[anti-furry]] [[troll|trolling]] against furries inside or outside of the [[furry fandom]], which began around summer 2007 and is still ongoing. The furry war is notable for the mass hacking of numerous [[YouTube]] furry accounts and the amount of awareness to the furry fandom in response to the war.

==Overview==

Though there are many suggestions as to how the Furry War has gotten its start, it has been popularly rumored however to have been started by [[Soki Twopaw]] who, fed up with the numerous trolling comments on his videos, promoted the idea of a furry uprising against trolls. From this grew a number of videos both in support and against a rebellion - nonetheless it happened, with many anti-fur YouTube users (not all of them necessarily trolls) spamming furry-related videos whether their authors were involved in the War or not. A notable video in regards to this was released by Dannynelsonstinks. Many of the branches of this war were stemmed from this.

This continued for a number of months, a group calling themselves the FCTC (or the Fried Chicken Trolling Crew) appeared soon after the start of the War with the specific purpose of posting inflammatory comments and hacking furry-related YouTube accounts. The most notable of these was in late-2007, where a failed [[wikipedia:phishing|phishing]] attempt was started through emails and falsified YouTube pages - this was soon halted after being reported by [[Wolfee Darkfang]] but no one was ever caught.

Between the summer and winter periods of 2007 the War was mostly an exchange of videos and comments between various furries and the FCTC; with some major events breaking the monotony such as the hacking and vandalism of the YouTube, [[MySpace]] and website of [[Silentwulf]] and a furry invasion of [[7chan]] on September 2nd. A video series, titled ''YouTube Furry War'', was started by [[Alexander Grey]] to specifically counter comments left by trolls in a calm and logical manner; by means to contrast to the usually angry and loathing videos left by enraged furs. The series ran for only a few months, to be succeeded by ''[[Alexander Grey#As the Furry Guru|Furry Guru]]''.

Towards the end of 2007 the war had largely died down for reasons unknown. Other troll accounts had been suspended or deleted by this time. Although many state that the furry war has ended around late December 2007, the war continues to persist (albeit at a small level).

==The Second Furry War==

An uprising would then start again on Saturday, August 15, 2009 when two best friends ShadowWarrior44 and FoxTail1011 took matters into their own hands to bring down the Trolls. Now it appears that from that date, a new war will soon follow. ShadowWarrior44 quoted, "It's time these guys really pay for messing with us. I'm tired of just sitting back and listening to my friends' getting their imaginations crushed."

At 1:36 AM CST, ultraforge sent ShadowWarrior44 a message "Well, since you want this Furry War II to be such serious fucking business, here's my new plan: I'm going to try and troll furries so hard that one of them actually commits suicide over being trolled. Then I'm going to pour myself a Jack and Coke and laugh my ass off as I read the coronor's report. lol!" This is truly the start of Furry War II.

Short after this a new anti-furry trolling organization was founded (Anti-Furry-Orgo AFO) by AntiFurryOrgo and Andrejborg to do the dirty work of the FCTC

In recent news on the Youtube Furry War the AntiFurryOrgo has been eliminated by two anti trolls named MrDisambiguation and elementemblem412. They turned the trolls against the AFO and the trolls were able to suspend him. elementemblem412 said "the trolls finally realized how much the fail the AFO is, but we are not done yet more and more troll groups are popping up" these two are really making a big tip in the Youtube Furry War. Right now they are focusing on the Deth2FurfagsCoalition or the D2FC. MrDisambigation is a furry that is taking joy of taking care of the trolls and makes many videos about what he thinks about trolls. elementemblem412 is said to not be a furry but a furry supporter who believes strongly for furry rights and doesn't like "all this hate in our world today" and is also taking joy in doing this.

They are currently still working on removing as many troll and troll groups as possible. Also a strange fact about these two is that they are both big fans of metal and are both teenagers. No matter what they may or may not do they are fighting for our rights as furries. It may only be on the internet where they do this but that is only the beginning and maybe we can live in a world without so many trolls making lies and hateful things about us.

A recently discovered quote by elementemblem412 has been said to two troll groups the Deth2FurfagCoalition or the D2FC and the Anti Furfag Alliance of Awesome. "you will all fall like the FCTC". Looks like the Youtube Furry War has spiced up from this comment and hopefully he and MrDisambiguation can accomplish that.

It has also brought people who weren't furries into the wars on the account of being against hate or through relationships. for example, neonfoxincolour has been defending our rights to be who we are for the sake of his girlfriend, although he has been labeled heavily as a furry to which he replied "honestly, I wouldn't care to be called a furry. they're fun-loving people and have done nothing wrong. if you're a furry then power to you. but i'm not gonna let jerks so who you can and can't be."

The term predates its use on the Internet, and is believed to have been coined in the late 1980's by those who felt an affinity or connection to the ''fae folk'' and/or ''[[Wikipedia:elf|elves]]'' of traditional mythological culture and folklore. First appearing in use on the Internet in the mid-1990s, the word was intended to imply some form of kinship with an 'other' element outside of a person's biological nature, physical mind and experiences, and [[human]] life.

==Otherkin beliefs==

Otherkin feel they have a sympathetic connection, affinity, or some other form of relation with another animal or being. Traditionally these have been mythological in nature, beginning with fairy and fey folk, elves, and a few other European mythological archetypes. Later, associations with other creatures became common, including [[unicorn]]s, [[gryphon]]s, [[dragon]]s, angelics, and [[demon]]s; as well as "non-living" types such as golems and other inorganics. In time, some people also began to describe concepts for beings which were derived from mythological archetypes, though having unique qualities; fully undefinable or one-of-a-kind kin types appeared as well.

With the unusual nature of the basic otherkin premises, there has been skepticism directed at it along with the proposal that many people adopt the otherkin identity to justify social difficulties - the outcast syndrome - or because they have a delusion and are in denial about their biological humanity. The idea that otherkin believe they are physically non-human in a spectacular way - such as actually being biological dragons - is seen as a pervasive misunderstanding by otherkin themselves, who point out the spiritual and psychological focus of the concept. Some community members believe this confusion arises from those unfamiliar with the concept or having only a sketchy or distorted awareness; comparing it to psychiatric cases such as [[lycanthropy]] and dissociative identity disorder, and concluding that in order for someone to state that they identify as an elf or gryphon, they must be experiencing a form of hallucination or delusion.

Contrary to [[stereotype]]s which have been perpetuated, most who identify as otherkin are fully aware of their biology and human existence. Many otherkin do have particular spiritual and metaphysical beliefs, and as part of those beliefs have discussed elements of a proposed spiritual reality which is not to be confused with the material world. Even if a given person believes, for instance, that on a spiritual plane they may have wings, it is uncommon that they are making a claim about such things that is scientific in nature, or that they exist in what most people might consider the real world.

Despite these points, some dislike the otherkin concept on the grounds that they feel it is abused by individuals who wish to present themselves as special and unique without merit, and that making unverifiable spiritual claims is one way to achieve this. Over time, otherkin has proven to be appealing to a number of people for this reason, and those within the community can be rigorous about screening out 'me too' and 'fluffbunny' adopters of the otherkin moniker. Some otherkin themselves do not consider the Internet Kin community to have much or any validity, saying that it is easy and tempting for a person to claim almost anything within the realm of online anonymity.

Within the loosely defined otherkin community, online or off, there is no consensus as to just what makes a person otherkin. A variety of phenomena have been observed and theorized about which many feel create some sort of affinity between a person and something else. In this light, some see otherkin as related to concepts such as [[Wikipedia:Totemism|Totemism]], which have appeared in human culture since ancient times. There has also been some debate over how potential factors such as [[Wikipedia:Clinical lycanthropy|clinical lycanthropy]] may account for a percentage of the experiences otherkin believe they have had. While many, and some conjecture most, otherkin follow a paradigm of spiritual reincarnation in some form to help explain their state of being, not all otherkin share this, and may view themselves in other spiritual, philosophical, or psychological frameworks. Even among those who believe in reincarnation, there are a wide variety of interpretations.

Another viewpoint is that the term otherkin largely denotes a social network and should not, or can not, be used as a description for individual spiritual beliefs or to describe an particular theory or explanation for phenomenon. Many people use the otherkin community to find discussion for a variety of subjects and to compare subjective experiences without considering themselves to be otherkin in a descriptive sense.

Although there are spiritual parallels with shamanism and totemism, the modern otherkin subculture appears to trace its roots back to the counterculture of the 1960s. To date, there has been little formal study or publication of culture and theory relating to otherkin. The book contains the results of surveys distributed throughout the otherkin and therianthropy communities by the author and volunteers.

Otherkin bears (depending upon your point of view) some or no resemblance to [[therianthropy]], and some people consider them the same thing and use them interchangeably. However others don't and consider them unrelated and feel that the attempted correlation between Therians and Otherkin is an invasion into what Therian are supposed to be about. At one point and time Therians ran their own websites at the birth/dawn of the internet. For a long time they were about a set of predetermined ideas based heavily on druidism, shamanism, totemism, and so forth. These days those websites have changed, and are now run by people who make the claim that therian is a subset of Otherkin.

At there present time some Otherkin feel therian is just a another part of Otherkin only dealing with non myth animals. In the meantime in discussion boards across the internet some therians continue to object to seeing their spirituality change to mean something it didn't before and the false associations that come with it,

Rather than tread on someone else's spirituality it might be safer to refer to people who believe they have a soul other than human that is a living or extant animal, animalkin, and those who believe they have a soul other than human that is mythological, mythkin to prevent a misappropriation between otherkin-therian hybrids and non otherkin related therians.

== Otherkin and furry ==

[[Furry fan]]s appear to be generally aware of otherkin and therianthropy. The practices and viewpoints of many [[furry lifestyle]]rs have some similarity to these ideas; because of this, some lifestylers associate with one or both terms. Likewise, while [[furry fandom]] in general might not have been formed to explore spiritual connections with animals and other creatures, many otherkin and therianthropes find the content and subject matter of furry appealing because of their own interests. In the opposite direction, many [[furry fan]]s discover the otherkin community through the fandom and begin to take part in it as well.

A noticeable number of people within the otherkin community are also furry fans in some capacity and frequently attend events such as furry [[convention]]s in addition to otherkin-specific social events. The philosophy and spirituality tracks at some conventions have hosted otherkin and therian speakers. Panels and discussions on mythology have also attracted otherkin to participate. Otherkin who are artists have used furry conventions to display their work, and those with an interest in make-up and costuming have attended for masquerade contests and dances.

Some otherkin feel that the furry fandom is a more relaxed atmosphere in which to explore ideas of animal and human relations and hybrids, seeing the fandom's lack of core spiritual doctrines as neutral ground. Due to this, some people decide to leave the general otherkin and therian communities in favor of furry. Furry events are sometimes popular as a meeting place with otherkin who are geographically isolated from kin-specific events.

===Controversy within furry fandom===

Opinions vary as to whether or not their association with the fandom is positive, negative, or irrelevant. Some people find the association of furry with things beyond its base definition of the appreciation of [[anthropomorphic]] animals in art and fiction to be inappropriate, ridiculous, or uncomfortable. Because of this, otherkin and therian connections or intermingling with the fandom have taken on a pejorative tint for such people. Much as furry lifestylers are sometimes disliked, otherkin might be made to feel unwelcome or derided by some furry fans.

A large degree of fandom awareness has been spread not only by contact with otherkin within the fandom, but by the adoption of otherkin as another topic with which to portray elements of Furry in humorous or negative light by websites such as [[Something Awful]] and [[Crush! Yiff! Destroy!]]. Due to such framing, otherkin has for some people become a generic term to identify furries who feel there is something more to their animal avatar than [[role-playing]]. As a result there appear to be inaccuracies in the knowledge of many furry fans and nonfurs relating to more moderate members of the otherkin community.

Because of the effect of visibility from the crowd, it is often the most over-the-top examples that are seen by outsiders, and thus tend to be associated with the entire fandom, not unlike many of the other problems with publicity that furry fandom has endured over time.

Otherkin is a label to describe personal beliefs, experiences, and traits that occur in a variety of combinations depending on the individual. As there is no consensus on what qualifies as otherkin, not everyone who shares similar beliefs feels the term is appropriate or useful for themselves.

Some who might otherwise describe themselves as otherkin downplay or conceal the affiliation. Citing outbreaks of controversy, individuals have confessed reluctance to reveal the extent of their beliefs for fear of losing status or being ostracized by a particular community, to avoid employment difficulties, or relieve pressure from friends and family.

The method Cubist used to do it is SO childish, it makes me wonder if I should just put him/her over me knee and spank him/her. :))

Mozdoc needs to learn to control his temper - I can sympathize with that. I also know how most of society can literally drive people like Mozdoc to such actions.

By only using punishment against him, we only further reinforce his behavior. That's not to say we should just give in and remove it to stop threats - just the opposite. HOWEVER, If it is removed, and you and the others make it CLEARLY known that
1 - it CAN be added in again should the threats resume.
2 - that it is being done for fairness sake.

I believe it will have a greater positive impact not only on the conflict but upon Mozdoc himself.

Question: How come there is an article on [[centaur]]s but not one on [[mermaid]]s? Recently, I was going to write a article about mermaids and I saw the log about it being deleted because it's "not furry". I don't mean to insult anyone's intelligence here but, a centaur is "top half human, lower half horse" (you know what I mean) and a mermaid is "half woman half fish" I seriously don't see the problem...

:Honestly, the disk space is not so important as the time. It takes work to translate a page. If you have to upload all of the images in it as well, that is more work. Images can still be uploaded locally by going directly to Special:Upload.

:A webring is not useful for a wiki article on a topic because it is basically a replacement for a set of links. These links should instead be placed in the article's external links section of the article if they are of sufficient relevance and contain useful information, and not linked at all if they are not.

It seems that in this day and age, the only thing being polite and respectful gets a person is ignored, told to f - off, or hit. Mozdoc needs to learn to control his temper - I can sympathize with that. I also know how most of society can literally drive people like Mozdoc to such actions.

By only using punishment against him, we only further reinforce his behavior. That's not to say we should just give in and remove it to stop threats - just the opposite. HOWEVER, If it is removed, and you and the others make it CLEARLY known that
1 - it CAN be added in again should the threats resume.
2 - that it is being done for fairness sake.

I believe it will have a greater positive impact not only on the conflict but upon Mozdoc himself.

:There's basically two options for the forum - either create [[Happy Feet]] and make the forum a subsection of that, or create [[Happy Feet Fan Forum]]. The normal thing to do is the latter - have a separate article for the forum. I would suggest tightening the language in the history section a little, though. It should concentrate on the facts, not subjective statements like "grew quickly" (how quickly?). The talk page should mention and link to the prior article.

:We tend not to do really huge articles about commercial works because Wikipedia does it better than us. We are not created to compete with them in their field of expertise - we would rather readers and editors went there instead. Therefore, what I would recommend is to make an article with an overview of the movie, but which concentrates ''specifically'' on the usage of Happy Feet within the furry fandom (which Wikipedia is not likely to cover), and then point people to [[Wikipedia:Happy Feet|Wikipedia's article]] in the "See also" section. Question: How come there is an article on [[centaur]]s but not one on [[mermaid]]s? Recently, I was going to write a article about mermaids and I saw the log about it being deleted because it's "not furry". I don't mean to insult anyone's intelligence here but, a centaur is "top half human, lower half horse" (you know what I mean) and a mermaid is "half woman half fish" I seriously don't see the problem...

:Honestly, the disk space is not so important as the time. It takes work to translate a page. If you have to upload all of the images in it as well, that is more work. I would like to avoid that work for most images. People still need to register to use the image pool (but we would like to make it be just one registration for all WikiFur in the near future). If there is any interface text that needs to be changed on the pool wiki to help Russian contributors, I would be glad to do so. Images can still be uploaded locally by going directly to Special:Upload.

:A webring is not useful for a wiki article on a topic because it is basically a replacement for a set of links. These links should instead be placed in the article's external links section of the article if they are of sufficient relevance and contain useful information, and not linked at all if they are not.

:Webrings were great for finding relevant sites ten years ago. They're pretty much redundant with search, now. If you find one on here, you are welcome to replace it with specific links to useful websites on the ring. We're not interested in being part of any. If websites find us useful, they're welcome to link directly if they wish.

Actually, I agree with the relaxation of the net-speak rule - I am in fact the person responsible for it's initial softening and was in full support of its total relaxation but my apologies if my wording did not convey my stance successfully; sometimes tone gets lost in text. Everything that was posted was of a factual nature and not merely opinion - these facts were taken from posts made by the two admin of Yiffy International. However, my thanks for adding/clarifying the Canadian laws relavent to the site - I would have added them but my knowledge was fuzzy and I only knew the basics.

Unique to the virtual pet breeding game genre is the fact that players do not start the game with a Waja to breed. Instead, players must first win one in a game of luck, find a person generous enough to give one away, or play other games on the website to earn virtual money and buy a Waja from another player.

== History ==
Wajas began as a wolf-like adoptable on a popular pet site named Pony Island. In late 2006, they were removed from Pony Island by their creator, subsequently creating Wajas as a website. There were initially three breeds to choose from: Normal, African and Divine. Since this time, three breeds has increased to thirteen, including Normal, African, Ariel Divine, Plushie, Water, Corsie, Fire, Egyptian, Earth, Breedless, Bane and Tempest. Membership has also increased to over 75 000 accounts. This is approximately more than 30 000 people, as users are allowed a total of two accounts.

In September 2006, the site went through an extended period of downtime. During this time, the site underwent several changes including the addition of new breeds (the most recent two added in April, 2007, March, 2008 and November 2008) and items.

Another partial-downtime occurred from July 2007 to January 2008. Throughout this, no new members were allowed to join, but the current members were still active. Rykos, the coder was officially hired to work on Wajas and systematically recoded much of the website. During this time, many features were removed, such as the waja search, but were reimplemented temporarily. The website was updated with a new look, layout and interface, and many new items were introduced. In January 2008, dyes were introduced as an item to add markings on to existing wajas. The wajas community also contributed to the idea of a new breed. This included the look and the name. A new breed called "Bane" is set to be released soon.

On January 21, 2008<ref>http://wajas.com/news.php?month=01&year=08 Retrieved Jan 22, 2008.</ref>, registration was reopened via invitation. Each user was given the ability to invite sixty users, giving users the ability to register an account on Wajas. A new store was added in February to sell pets.

The site went down again on February 19, 2008, for a server upgrade. It reopened on February 28th, 2008.

Most recently the site was being upgraded but during a data backup, coders ran into some corrupted data. The site began downtime for repairs on November 20, 2008. Temporary returns from the downtime occurred on November 25th and 29th, and the site reopened permanently on December 2.

== Breeding ==
Breeding on wajas is done with one female and one male. If desired, the gender of a waja can be changed by feeding it a Gender Pear. There are three main types of breeding: reverse breeding (RBing), studding, and breeding.

Reverse Breeding is most commonly known as when a user contacts one person, and asks them to breed one of their wajas to another person's waja. New players use this method, as do others who want a new waja without buying one.

Studding can be done when one user requests to breed their own female waja with another user's male waja. The female will become pregnant with that male wajas pup/s.

Breeding is the term when a user with a male waja requests a breeding with another user's female waja. The female will become pregnant with that male wajas pup/s. On the breeding page, the user may choose ''Me'' (to deliver the pups to the requester), ''Mother'' (to deliver the pups to the user who owns the mother), ''Father'' (to deliver the pups to the user who owns the father), or ''Player...'' (to deliver the pups to another user).

Users also auction off breeding slots for certain wajas if they do not plan to breed their waja a lot.

Different breeds of waja are sometimes bred together. Most users call this crossbreeding. Let's say you breed a fire and a Divine. The pups will most likely be fire, but have a chance of being divine.

There are currently eleven breeds of Wajas, all of which resemble a wolf in some form. Prior to the remolding of Wajas in 2007 and 2008, there was an unofficial breed referred to as the 'Breedless' waja. Rather than displaying an image of a waja, the entire image was blank and featured no waja.

The eleven current species include:

* '''Fire''': The firey species added to the site. The fire waja has three tails and flame-encased paws. Eye color determines flame color.

=== Customs ===

First generation wajas are custom-designed by the players. A custom Demo generator allows you to preview how the waja will look with your choice of markings, mutations and colors. If you have the appropriate token, you can choose to create the waja you are previewing, and save it to your cave.

Custom Tokens are purchased with CWP. 20 CWP buys a Silver Token, with which you can design and make a 2-marking waja. For 30 CWP you can buy a Gold Token, for creating a 3-marking waja.

Tokens are sold for the following breeds: Normal, Corsie, Egyptian, and Fire. Divine Tokens are more expensive and require being selected from a long waiting list. By using a "rock waja" or a "frog" (purchased from a player shop) on one of these customs, you can transform it into an African or a Water waja, respectively. A custom Plushie is created with a "plastic waja" that can be won at the Fish-a-Waja game. A "Lollipop" makes your waja a normal waja.

Earth customs were only available for a limited time, and can no longer be made. The only way to get an Earth custom is to buy an already-made one from another player.

=== Breeding Percentages ===
Four percentages appear on a waja's profile, each detailing an aspect of the waja's breeding. In order, they are: MU, MG LQ and In%.

MU is a numerical value of a waja's Mutation Gene. It is a number from 0-100 and represents how strong a waja's mutation is (how well it will carry over to its pups). MG is a numerical value of a waja's Male Gene. It is a number from 0-100 and represents the percentage of a puppy being male. Male wajas are more difficult to find on wajas. A puppy born male will not necessarily have a high MG, nor will he have a higher MG than his female siblings, but any waja whose parents have high MG's will be born with a relatively high MG as well. A waja's Male Gene can be increased by feeding it a Male pear.

LQ is a numerical value representing a waja's Litter Quantity. It is a number from 0-100 and represents the chances of getting more than one pup in a litter. Litters consist of 1-4 pup; the higher the LQ, the better your chances of getting twins or triplets. Quadruplets are rare. This can be increased by feeding the waja a Normal Pear.

In% is a numerical value representing the Inbreeding in a waja. The higher the percentage, the closer the family relation between the parents. This currently has no affect on the waja, but is frowned upon. It has been suggested that this may affect a waja's appearance at a later date. This can be decreased by feeding a waja an Ice Pear.

Every waja has a generation, or gen. This is how far down the family line the waja is. For example, custom wajas, wajas paid for with CWP, are gen 1. A pup from two customs is a gen 2, and a pup from two gen 2s is a gen 3.

When an NPC (Obsessed Waja Fan) was first introduced, 'supergens' (wajas with a generation of 100 or more) fetched a higher price when sold to OWF. However soon the OWF was edited so that generation no longer mattered.

Unique to the virtual pet breeding game genre is the fact that players do not start the game with a Waja to breed. Instead, players must first win one in a game of luck, find a person generous enough to give one away, or play other games on the website to earn virtual money and buy a Waja from another player.

== History ==
Wajas began as a wolf-like adoptable on a popular pet site named Pony Island. In late 2006, they were removed from Pony Island by their creator, subsequently creating Wajas as a website. There were initially three breeds to choose from: Normal, African and Divine. Since this time, three breeds has increased to thirteen, including Normal, African, Ariel Divine, Plushie, Water, Corsie, Fire, Egyptian, Earth, Breedless, Bane and Tempest. Membership has also increased to over 75 000 accounts. This is approximately more than 30 000 people, as users are allowed a total of two accounts.

In September 2006, the site went through an extended period of downtime. During this time, the site underwent several changes including the addition of new breeds (the most recent two added in April, 2007, March, 2008 and November 2008) and items.

Another partial-downtime occurred from July 2007 to January 2008. Throughout this, no new members were allowed to join, but the current members were still active. Rykos, the coder was officially hired to work on Wajas and systematically recoded much of the website. During this time, many features were removed, such as the waja search, but were reimplemented temporarily. The website was updated with a new look, layout and interface, and many new items were introduced. In January 2008, dyes were introduced as an item to add markings on to existing wajas. The wajas community also contributed to the idea of a new breed. This included the look and the name. A new breed called "Bane" is set to be released soon.

On January 21, 2008<ref>http://wajas.com/news.php?month=01&year=08 Retrieved Jan 22, 2008.</ref>, registration was reopened via invitation. Each user was given the ability to invite sixty users, giving users the ability to register an account on Wajas. A new store was added in February to sell pets.

The site went down again on February 19, 2008, for a server upgrade. It reopened on February 28th, 2008.

Most recently the site was being upgraded but during a data backup, coders ran into some corrupted data. The site is currently in downtime from November 20, 2008. Temporary returns from the downtime occurred on November 25th and 29th, and the site reopened permanently on December 2.

== Breeding ==
Breeding on wajas is done with one female and one male. If desired, the gender of a waja can be changed by feeding it a Gender Pear. There are three main types of breeding: reverse breeding (RBing), studding, and breeding.

Reverse Breeding is most commonly known as when a user contacts one person, and asks them to breed one of their wajas to another person's waja. New players use this method, as do others who want a new waja without buying one.

Studding can be done when one user requests to breed their own female waja with another user's male waja. The female will become pregnant with that male wajas pup/s.

Breeding is the term when a user with a male waja requests a breeding with another user's female waja. The female will become pregnant with that male wajas pup/s. On the breeding page, the user may choose ''Me'' (to deliver the pups to the requester), ''Mother'' (to deliver the pups to the user who owns the mother), ''Father'' (to deliver the pups to the user who owns the father), or ''Player...'' (to deliver the pups to another user).

Users also auction off breeding slots for certain wajas if they do not plan to breed their waja a lot.

Different breeds of waja are sometimes bred together. Most users call this crossbreeding. Let's say you breed a fire and a Divine. The pups will most likely be fire, but have a chance of being divine.

There are currently eleven breeds of Wajas, all of which resemble a wolf in some form. Prior to the remolding of Wajas in 2007 and 2008, there was an unofficial breed referred to as the 'Breedless' waja. Rather than displaying an image of a waja, the entire image was blank and featured no waja.

First generation wajas are custom-designed by the players. A custom Demo generator allows you to preview how the waja will look with your choice of markings, mutations and colors. If you have the appropriate token, you can choose to create the waja you are previewing, and save it to your cave.

Custom Tokens are purchased with CWP. 20 CWP buys a Silver Token, with which you can design and make a 2-marking waja. For 30 CWP you can buy a Gold Token, for creating a 3-marking waja.

Tokens are sold for the following breeds: Normal, Corsie, Egyptian, and Fire. Divine Tokens are more expensive and require being selected from a long waiting list. By using a "rock waja" or a "frog" (purchased from a player shop) on one of these customs, you can transform it into an African or a Water waja, respectively. A custom Plushie is created with a "plastic waja" that can be won at the Fish-a-Waja game. A "Lollipop" makes your waja a normal waja.

Earth customs were only available for a limited time, and can no longer be made. The only way to get an Earth custom is to buy an already-made one from another player.

I changed the category Pagan to Non-Christian, since I believe Non-Christian is less biased than Pagan. I'll vote for it. I've never heard of this term being used. I can understand its origins, but that doesn't really make it a term folks are going to run into very often. That's just my two cents, though.

And as an aside to DDragon, a term becoming "established" most likely means when it becomes much more mainstream to hear bandied about. This is an incredibly niche subject, with an incredibly small target, and I don't think that's quite what WikiFur is entirely about.
